First time going and it was delicious. Got the steak with cheese and mushroom and it exceeded my expectations. The sauce is also delicious I would ask for extra sauce on the side. I wish they had fries to go with it though.

So my first meal in Michigan was right here during lunch,It wasn't to busy at all. So you place your order at the counter and then watch as they make your hot cheesesteak sandwich. I ordered the 8in Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms, onions, and cheese. The bread was pretty decent as was the sandwich it was definitely hot off the grill. My other friends had the same except she ordered the 4 in sandwich with chips. To feed the 3 of us it was 21 bucks pretty chip if you ask me. I highly recommend stopping here and trying there sandwich's. It's in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking. Nice friendly service and the restaurant was spotless. Nice job

Must have when ever I come back to Lansing! Sandwich is still tasty but they changed the chili recipe, still pretty good but not the same as before. Will continue to be a stop when I visit!

A favorite! Grew up eating these at the original Big John on Dort Hwy. So glad I'm able to get the delicious philly chicken sandwich now that I'm in Lansing! Steak and cheese is delicious too. Make sure to try the red sauce and the jalapeño ranch!

Food is always good. Service is above average. Fast food restaurant. Not much ambiance. They are normally clean.

I could live on Big John's red sauce; nothing else like it! We need a shop closer to Grand Rapids, please!

Best steak an onion in town. The sauce is delicious and you won't be able to get enough of it! Customer service was great, too.

Its good but if you go at night be aware they sometimes cook the meat far ahead of when you order it. but even then its pretty good.

The employee described how they made their fresh sandwiches and what they had to offer. After it is assembled, they can even toast your sub on a panini maker. I had the King sub, which was fantastic, along with a combination of discounted chips and a fountain beverage. They also offer homemade cookies and soup. Flat-top seating with an essential atmosphere. Clean restroom. Bottle soda, water, and sports drinks are available. I will return and recommend.

Apparently it's owned by the guys who own Lou & Harry's, and it opened in 2021. I guess I must have passed by without noticing it. I'm glad we stopped in because the food was really good. The menu specializes in cheesesteak hoagies and burgers, so I was excited to try a cheesesteak as we don't have a ton of options for them in Grand Rapids. We got the pazzo: Shaved ribeye steak, grilled onion, banana pepper, Jalapeno pepperjack cheese, pepperoni, and ranch marinara. You can upgrade to a combo which comes with fries and a drink, which we did. We got the cajun fries, but you can get waffle fries, ranch fries, or cheese fries. Our food was ready really quickly and it was super hot and fresh. The sandwich was big enough to split for a decent sized meal. There was quite a bit of meat and all the toppings worked well together. It was definitely greasy and pretty messy, and really salty - but I liked it. It's not something I could order regularly, but it was so tasty. The fries were fresh, thin cut, and the cajun seasoning was also really salty. If you're sensitive to salt - maybe avoid this spot. The bread of the sandwich got a little soggy, but it wasn't completely falling apart, which was good. This place is open late on the weekends and would be great for intoxicated or hungover college kids. They were doing quite a few Grubhub orders while we were there - I don't think I'd recommend this as delivery food as the sandwiches probably get pretty soggy if left to sit for too long. I'd come back and try more of the sandwiches.
