It's never a good time to have to drop a chunk of money on car repairs, but Cost U Less Auto Glass made the process seamless. I reached out via Yelp because they had great reviews and came highly recommended by a friend who had already had two jobs done by them. To my pleasant surprise, as soon as I messaged them, I got a response from Moe within six or seven minutes. My biggest pet peeve is the lack of communication in the world today--everyone is walking around with a device in their hand, yet so few people actually communicate. But not in this case! Moe was fantastic from beginning to end, giving me constant updates on what was going on with my car. He actually offered to replace the windshield the next day, but since I didn't need it that fast, we scheduled it for the following weekend. I drove up to the shop in Martinez and dropped the car off. Moe kept in contact regarding the status and when it would be ready. As soon as I picked it up, the car looked fantastic! My car is a little newer, so the windshield actually had to be calibrated for the Heads-Up Display (HUD) and the Front Brake Assist. If your car has those features, Moe can handle those updates right after he installs the glass. I've had the car back for about a week now and have had zero problems. His prices are very competitive, but nobody is going to beat his service and communication--I guarantee it. He does offer mobile service, but if you're having calibration done, I recommend dropping it off at his shop. Martinez is a great place to walk around and get a bite to eat while you wait, and everything is close by so you won't be inconvenienced. I will not hesitate to use Moe and Cost U Less Auto Glass in the future!

Got confirmation emails and texts, one saying Tuesday, then Wednesday. Someone called from what felt like a personal cell to confirm the time. Fine. Then that same afternoon, a text arrived saying they needed to push the appointment back a week. I called back to find out why, and was told they never had the glass and needed to order it. That information should have been caught when I entered my car details during booking, or at the latest, during that morning call. I cancelled on the spot, called my dealer, and had it fixed two days later. My barber told me almost the exact same story, different customer, same outcome. The person I spoke with was professional and genuinely nice. This is not a people problem. Safelite's scheduling and parts verification process is broken. If you have a common car, you might get lucky. If you don't, expect a reschedule with no advance warning. Skip the mobile service and go straight to your dealer.
