Friendly staff, pretty quick service (they are typically pretty busy) and I think their food is really good. Their burritos are a good size and are piping hot. I go to big mommas every weekend for a breakfast burrito but lately they've been burning the eggs. They must not know how to cook. The eggs are brown and smell and taste like a wet dog . Terrible!! I would not recommend this place. I keep giving them chances and money by going back but it's consistently bad. Go elsewhere. read more

My husband, daughter, and I often get breakfast burritos here. Sometimes they're better than other times, sometimes they're dry. They often label the burritos wrong and we usually just switch and are done with it. It's pretty annoying though. We had an incident today so we called because it's BS and happens OFTEN. Thankfully none of us have food allergies and it's more of a preference thing, but what if we did? It is a thing and the labeling should be paid attention to. The customer service experience for my husband when he called was bad enough and then I called and again was told there's nothing we can do about this. The burritos here are good, not great. I do love it though because it's so conviently located and very inexpensive. The green chili is very tasty and has quite a kick. Even the medium is fairly hot so be careful if you're not used to spicy foods. This is also more of a take out place. I'm still looking for the perfect burrito, and they're close. But not quite close enough. See, in my opinion, a burrito should be tightly rolled. Think "food log". You should be able to eat it with one hand, while driving down the highway, and not worry that you'll end up with a lap full of burrito slaughter. Don't go through their drive through if you're in any sorta of rush or just getting normal service. Waited with one car ahead of me for 15 min then had to take off because, well anyone who needs to get anywhere doesn't expect to wait that long for a sub par burrito. I've lived in Westminster for two years and was always disappointed by the breakfast burritos in the area until we tried big mamas burritos! Taste great and always loaded up with lots of toppings. There is typically a short wait on the weekends when I go but that is only because there is a constant flow of people and well worth it. read more

First off I'm not a picky eater. I personally think I will eat anything so my standards are pretty low. This place I could not finish the entire burrito and it was not that big. I got the big mama with pork and beef. I felt like there was no steak and just pork which was very disappointing. Then it straight up just tasted not that good. My friends who also bought burritos but smaller ate even less than I did before tossing it. 3 stars because their burritos are decent/mediocre and their staff is always nice. They have a sign out saying "MENUDO Everyday" so I went for their menudo and was super disappointed when I took it home to eat! I was hoping for some home cooked authentic menudo on a cold rainy day to hit the spot for. But unfortunately, their menudo was nothing special. It is out of a can you that can buy at your local Walmart and heat it up on your stove or microwave. I wasted $11 on something I could have paid $3.28 for from Walmart...bummer. read more

I've been coming here since they first opened. I've noticed that the quality of food has gone down a bit. The hot chile isn't has hot as it used 2 be, the carne is over cooked, sloppy made plates. The food I ordered today was so salty I could only take a couple bites before throwing it away. I had ordered for my family but anything that had chile on was completely not eatable. Whoever made the chile today ruined it for this place. I'm not sure if it's due to a different cook or what but when the majority of your food has chile on it you've got to pay attention to detail. Your only as good as your last meal if that makes since. I'll probably return after a long while to see if they upped there cook game but for now I'm done with Big Mamas. It was my first time trying this place and I don't plan on coming back. They messed up both of the two burritos i ordered. The food was mediocre and douced in semi-spicy chili that i specifically requested be put on the side. I couldn't even eat more than two bites of it, absolutely awful and it took nearly half an hour for a to-go order so I would've been late for work if I had gone back to have them correct my order. With so many great Mexican food options in this area, it took me a while to stop at Big Mama's, even though it's at the end of my street. I was skeptical because the location is so, well, unappetizing i guess. It's located in an old gas station, which isnt the kind of place that usually makes me super hungry, but when I finally got in there to give it a try, wow! I had been seriously missing out. The food is simple and so is the menu. Everything I've tried so far has been good. The meat is all very flavorful and the portions are huge for the price. The breakfast burrito with chorizo, eggs, potatoes and cheese with hot green chili is one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had, anywhere. And I have had a lot of breakfast burritos. The tacos are good and brimming with fillings, tho the shells are kind of lower quality. I also tried a pork quesadilla which was full of flavor and served with more of the delicious hot green chili. Definitely worth a try, especially on mornings when you need a quick breakfast to go! read more

This place used to be amazing, but became mediocre quickly. We keep hoping that things will get better but it seems to get progressively worse. We drive 30 mins each way to grab breakfast on special days, these days are officially over! The last two times that I've gone not only were the waits ridiculous but my food consistently prepared wrong. I always ask for no cheese and my breakfast burritos are consistently covered in cheese which I am highly allergic to. When I've called to complain, I'm told I can come back right away(not really an option for us as we live 30 mins away each way) or I can store the burrito in my home until I go back because apparently the staff there doesn't believe me. They also refuse to return my money. This place has a lot to learn about customer service and quality assurance.
