There's something special about the food. Even the dessert was great and I'm extra picky about dessert... I didn't even want to try the cake, but it was SO light and most, flavorful without being overly sweet-- it's a big slice, and you can keep going back for more! The mangoes in the mango sticky rice was great too! The service was amazing. Nina made us feel special... it was like the most incredible family meal. (That pandan mocktail was special too.) This is the story of a love affair that started nearly a year ago... from 250 miles away. I'm from Idaho, and somehow Big Mango found its way into my Instagram feed. One look and I was hooked. I immediately pinned it to my restaurant bucket list and started scheming up just about any excuse I could think of to justify a four-hour drive to Riverton. Eventually, I ran out of excuses and just made the drive. For months I'd been studying the menu like I was preparing for a final exam. On one hand were all the incredible traditional Thai dishes. Having been to Thailand three times, I'm always chasing that meal that can transport me back without requiring a 24-hour flight. On the other hand, there were so many creative fusion dishes that looked impossible to pass up. After an embarrassingly long internal debate, I landed on the Double Wagyu Smashburger. It. Did. Not. Disappoint. Normally, there's about a zero percent chance you'll catch me ordering a burger with raw onions. But this one deserved my trust, so I ordered it exactly as intended. The red onions were diced so finely, and paired so perfectly with the crispy onions, that my taste buds completely short-circuited. I'm pretty sure I briefly left my body. I came here with really high hopes, and unfortunately I left a bit disappointed. The restaurant itself is very loud, but the biggest issue by far is the portion size compared to the prices. We ordered the chicken Pad Thai for about $17+, and the amount of food we received was honestly shocking. Pad Thai at most restaurants is usually a decent-sized portion, and I had planned on sharing it with my daughter. There was nowhere near enough food to share. For $17, I expected much more than what looked like a very small serving. It felt extremely overpriced for the amount of food on the plate. We also ordered the Korean corn dog and chicken fried rice, and overall the value just was not there. When you are paying restaurant prices, you should not leave feeling like you barely received enough food. I will be posting pictures with this review so people can judge the portion sizes for themselves. I really wanted to like this place, but based on the portions and pricing, I would not recommend it. Buyer beware if you are expecting a filling meal for what you are paying. That being said, the food had very good flavor and was spot on as far as being authentic. Get the drunken noodles and the ginger rice and dump the rice into your noodle bowl. Get ready for the most outrageously fun Thai dinner plate of all time. I don't know what they put in the ginger rice and I don't know what aromatic flavoring is in the drunken noodles, but this dish makes you start eating like a ravenous animal. Last time I enjoyed my meal this much was in Texas ripping meat off the bone at a bbq. Fries were fantastic and the menu is diverse and fun up and down, we don't drink but their drink menu almost made me try it out. Docking them a point because the pad Thai was below average and paled in comparison to the drunken noodles. General ambiance is cafeteria style, pleasant music vibe, like Miami vice, pool club genre. My first time here and I was impressed! It is a very low key place. You go in and seat yourself and scan the QR code on the table to order. They will bring your food out as it is ready. I got the coconut soup and it was amazing! The Wagyu Burger I didn't try, but my sister said it was good but a little spicy. The egg rolls were good. The wontons were very plain in my opinion. Love to check out new spots and I'm glad I came across this one because I was in the mood for some Thai food! The portions are very large and it correlates with the price. The pad Thai was good, but could have used a bit more flavor. My friend ordered the mango chicken and told me it was good! My favorite part was the Crab Rangoons. Based on the reviews, I had high expectations for this restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience did not live up to them. We ordered three dishes: the Panang curry, drunken noodles, and Tom Kha soup. The Panang curry had decent flavor, but it consisted mostly of sauce with very little meat or vegetables. It contained only a few pieces of broccoli and green beans. The menu photo also showed potatoes and Thai chilies, neither of which were included. Additionally, broccoli is not a vegetable I typically associate with a traditional Panang curry. The drunken noodles were acceptable but ultimately unremarkable. The greatest disappointment was the Tom Kha soup. Having grown up eating authentic Thai cuisine, I have a good understanding of the flavors that make this dish special. Unfortunately, this version tasted primarily of coconut milk with Bella mushrooms and lacked the depth and balance that define Tom Kha. It was missing the distinct flavors of lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, and Asian mushrooms, resulting in a soup that was neither aromatic nor balanced with the sweet, sour, savory, and mildly spicy notes the dish is known for. The chicken also tasted as though it had been cooked separately and added to the soup afterward rather than simmered in the broth. I understand that rising costs have forced restaurants to increase their prices, and I have no issue paying more for a quality meal. However, when prices reflect a premium dining experience, the food should meet that expectation. Reducing portion quality or omitting key ingredients while charging higher prices ultimately leaves customers disappointed. I genuinely wanted to enjoy this meal, but the overall experience fell short of both the restaurant's ratings and the expectations set by its menu. This place was a pleasant surprising find. We first stopped by a while back when they opened just to try the coconut cake, which was awesome, but this time we ordered takeout for dinner and everything was quite good. We got the Massaman curry, Pad See Ew, Pad Kra Pao and coconut cake again and all three dishes were spot on- cake was also great again. You can tell they use higher quality ingredients, especially the meat, so the couple of extra dollars per dish compared to other local spots checks out. I honestly didn't expect much based on the name alone, but the food was actually well done. The flavors were rich, balanced, and tasted like real care went into every dish. WOWOWOWOW i saw a video on tiktok about this place so i decided to try it out when i was in the area. the business owner is such a sweet lady. she's always there and remembers me every time i come in. i love her soooo much what an angel. not only is the customer service amazing but their food is to DIE FOR. its hands down the best thai food i've ever had. i crave their food every week. i've tried 5 of their entrees and all of them were amazing. every time i've ordered my food comes out scorching hot and fresh to order every time. their coconut cake is also a must for dessert! the menu is a little pricy but it's so worth it. it's one of my favorite restaurants in utah. go give them some love and support their business! read more

Not a bad Thai place if you're in the area. Ambience: it is in its own strip mall area with a generous parking space. They are plenty of tables inside and appears very bright and airy. Service: you can order via a QR code at your table or the servers can help you out as well. Everything came up very quickly, and the service was very attentive. The burger at a price of $ 27 was spicy (scale of 3 of 5 pepper) and had a heavy amount of fried garlic which made the burger taste bitter. Odd because in the description ot doesn't indicate garlic as an ingredient. The mango mocktail at $9 tastes like a Jumex can drink with a lime wheel and a few mint leaves and it came in a highball glass with heavy ice, so minimal juice, for that price, best to get a fountain drink instead. The thai tea had good flavor, fresh brewed. No complaints. Khao Soi Curry was alright, although the pickled mustard greens had a fishy taste. The coconut cake was also just fine, moist but the flavor wasn't impressive. I should note that I had previously ordered to go-pad thai and was not impressed by the plate and decided on giving this place a second try. Well! First off. I should have taken pictures! My wife does not like Thai food. She's found a few dishes at various places that she likes, so when I drug her into Big Mango so that I could get my Massaman fix I was concerned that this would be a one and done. TLDR: 2 meals + appetizer (didn't order drinks)= $50. We waited 20 minutes for food to arrive to table. You pick your own table and order through a QR code. The parking lot was relatively small. Our favorite thing from the menu was the crab cheese rolls. We ate here on a Saturday evening. We probably will not return. My husband and I visited the Big Mango and we've been so excited to try this place out because we love Thai Food and it was relatively close. We have a go-to Thai place but it's a bit further away. Unfortunately at the end of our visit at Big Mango, we probably won't return. Ambiance: It was off. Right when you walked in, you can tell you'll be waiting for a while because there were few two-person tables and more four-person tables available. On a Saturday evening, all the tables were taken. The staff also seemed stressed (probably because it was packed) but you could feel it. The music was barely audible so it was quiet but you could still hear the quiet conversations. The vibe was just off. Service: This is the part that really disappointed us the most. The only available table we found was filled with crumbs, so we just cleaned the table ourselves. You order by scanning a QR code specific to your table, which we'd recommend or else the staff might not get to you to place your order. We were seated next to a four-person table with people that knew the owners and therefore they received great service. The staff constantly refilled the other table's waters, checked up on them frequently, and even conversed. We ended grabbing our own water cups and filling up our own cups every time we needed a refill even though the other table was constantly being attended too. It was frustrating to see the stark difference in customer service. My husband also observed that another table received similar favoritism while the other tables were somewhat ignored (like we were). Food & Cost: We were surprised with how pricey the menu was, but when they brought out the food, the portion sizes were definitely made to share. I ordered the mango chicken with rice ($17), my husband ordered massaman curry with chicken and rice ($17), and we shared a crab cheese roll appetizer ($4). We've definitely ordered similar if not the same things at other Thai places that were less expensive. Our food took 20 minutes to come out after we ordered. I didn't love the mango chicken. It was fried chicken with a small size of broccoli and carrots and a sweet sauce. I kind of got bored of it after the 4th chicken and stopped eating. I usually take food home if I have leftovers, but I ended up not taking this home. I gave it a 2/5. My husband ordered the massaman curry and he thought it was okay. The portion size was definitely made to share and it was piping hot when it came out. He rated it a 3/5. We were big fans of the crab cheese roll appetizers (super similar to crab cheese wontons) and you usually can't go wrong with those. They were delicious and crispy.
