The food was all so so delicious!! I knew I would love this place, so I was thrilled that everything I ordered met or exceeded my expectations! The Double Smash burger was incredible! $27 is pretty high, but it lasted me for two meals! Ha! Fries were so yummy, and I loved the fry sauce that tasted of mango--different than my usual fry sauce, but I LOVED it! We also tried the Massaman curry, the crab & cream cheese rolls, steamed dumplings--all so delicious! I also ordered some mango chicken for the next day, which rewarmed a bit dry, but would've been better fresh, I'm sure. The coconut ice cream was yummy, too! Negatives: 1 - There is no menu to hold nor on the wall. Customers must scan the QR codes on each table to review the menu on our phones, which isn't ideal, IMO. Had to pull out my readers! 2 - It was quite noisy in the restaurant with no dividers or soft surfaces (super hard chairs for a 2-hr visit with a friend, but probably by design so you turn over the table/don't stick around too long. Busy on a Wednesday night. 3 - This is the only location! I live an hour away (Davis County), so getting there as often as I'd like isn't feasible. Big bummer! Love to check out new spots and I'm glad I came across this one because I was in the mood for some Thai food! The portions are very large and it correlates with the price. The pad Thai was good, but could have used a bit more flavor. My friend ordered the mango chicken and told me it was good! My favorite part was the Crab Rangoons. Would definitely come back just for these. The inside of the restaurant isn't very decorated, so that could use some improvement. The service was great! Guys...... just like every new restaurant.... Portion sizes got smaller and food got worse! We were so excited to come back, but wis we would not have. Do not waist your time or money. We loved the mango chicken last time.... This time is looked like Panda Express and tasted even worse. Looked and tasted like frozen chicken that they threw some sauce on. First time in, figured I'll try them out after a bit of work here in Riverton. Grabbed a Thai Tea, Drunken Noodle w/ Chicken and a Coconut Gelato for dessert. Ran me about $35 for dinner. The noodles were very tasty even having the FAFO heat level, just wished there was bit more noodle, plenty of chicken and veg. This place was a pleasant surprising find. We first stopped by a while back when they opened just to try the coconut cake, which was awesome, but this time we ordered takeout for dinner and everything was quite good. We got the Massaman curry, Pad See Ew, Pad Kra Pao and coconut cake again and all three dishes were spot on- cake was also great again. You can tell they use higher quality ingredients, especially the meat, so the couple of extra dollars per dish compared to other local spots checks out. I honestly didn't expect much based on the name alone, but the food was actually well done. The flavors were rich, balanced, and tasted like real care went into every dish. This place is good! I appreciated the service and the wide range of flavor options. The mango chicken was good. The tonkatsu was good as well. I liked the flaky breading. Portions were alright. The sauce for the pork kebab appetizer was awesome. To be honest the prices felt high for what you're getting. (E.g. $7 for what felt like a medium order of seasoned fries.) I'm Thai and I always on the lookout for authentic Thai cuisine. I recently visited the restaurant and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Not a bad Thai place if you're in the area. Ambience: it is in its own strip mall area with a generous parking space. They are plenty of tables inside and appears very bright and airy. Service: you can order via a QR code at your table or the servers can help you out as well. Everything came up very quickly, and the service was very attentive. Food: got the skewers from the appetizer area. That was good with a sauce that was very teeny delicious. I also got the Massaman curry that was delicious though I think it could've been a little bit spicier despite asking for a medium. The burger at a price of $ 27 was spicy (scale of 3 of 5 pepper) and had a heavy amount of fried garlic which made the burger taste bitter. Odd because in the description ot doesn't indicate garlic as an ingredient. The mango mocktail at $9 tastes like a Jumex can drink with a lime wheel and a few mint leaves and it came in a highball glass with heavy ice, so minimal juice, for that price, best to get a fountain drink instead. The thai tea had good flavor, fresh brewed. No complaints. Khao Soi Curry was alright, although the pickled mustard greens had a fishy taste. The coconut cake was also just fine, moist but the flavor wasn't impressive. I should note that I had previously ordered to go-pad thai and was not impressed by the plate and decided on giving this place a second try. I saw a review about this place that said "it was the greatest burger I have ever tasted in my life." So I had high hopes! Nobody mentioned the burger is TWENTY SEVEN DOLLARS. But that's a small price for the best burger in the world! The menu, which is ONLY accessible via a QR code glued to the table does not tell you the burger is spicy, like, REALLY spicy. My sons almost cried and I thought they were just being little babies, but then I took a bite. Not only that, it was dry. I can deal with a spicy burger, but a dry spicy burger? Nah. Well! First off. I should have taken pictures! My wife does not like Thai food. She's found a few dishes at various places that she likes, so when I drug her into Big Mango so that I could get my Massaman fix I was concerned that this would be a one and done. I couldn't be more wrong! She tried the Mango Chicken and raved how good it was. Winner! Winner! Now I can get my Massaman fix more often, so long as I bring her back the Mango Chicken. The Massaman was very good and the Coconut cake was delicious! I will admit I wasn't prepared for the order by phone thing at the table. TLDR: 2 meals + appetizer (didn't order drinks)= $50. We waited 20 minutes for food to arrive to table. You pick your own table and order through a QR code. The parking lot was relatively small. Our favorite thing from the menu was the crab cheese rolls. We ate here on a Saturday evening. We probably will not return. My husband and I visited the Big Mango and we've been so excited to try this place out because we love Thai Food and it was relatively close. We have a go-to Thai place but it's a bit further away. Unfortunately at the end of our visit at Big Mango, we probably won't return. Ambiance: It was off. Right when you walked in, you can tell you'll be waiting for a while because there were few two-person tables and more four-person tables available. On a Saturday evening, all the tables were taken. The staff also seemed stressed (probably because it was packed) but you could feel it. The music was barely audible so it was quiet but you could still hear the quiet conversations. The vibe was just off. Service: This is the part that really disappointed us the most. The only available table we found was filled with crumbs, so we just cleaned the table ourselves. You order by scanning a QR code specific to your table, which we'd recommend or else the staff might not get to you to place your order. We were seated next to a four-person table with people that knew the owners and therefore they received great service. The staff constantly refilled the other table's waters, checked up on them frequently, and even conversed. We ended grabbing our own water cups and filling up our own cups every time we needed a refill even though the other table was constantly being attended too. It was frustrating to see the stark difference in customer service. My husband also observed that another table received similar favoritism while the other tables were somewhat ignored (like we were). Food & Cost: We were surprised with how pricey the menu was, but when they brought out the food, the portion sizes were definitely made to share. I ordered the mango chicken with rice ($17), my husband ordered massaman curry with chicken and rice ($17), and we shared a crab cheese roll appetizer ($4). We've definitely ordered similar if not the same things at other Thai places that were less expensive. Our food took 20 minutes to come out after we ordered. I didn't love the mango chicken. It was fried chicken with a small size of broccoli and carrots and a sweet sauce. I kind of got bored of it after the 4th chicken and stopped eating. I usually take food home if I have leftovers, but I ended up not taking this home. I gave it a 2/5. My husband ordered the massaman curry and he thought it was okay. The portion size was definitely made to share and it was piping hot when it came out. He rated it a 3/5. We were big fans of the crab cheese roll appetizers (super similar to crab cheese wontons) and you usually can't go wrong with those. They were delicious and crispy. It's super hot (temperature wise) so be careful when you bite into it. We rated those a 4/5. Overall takeaway, we didn't really understand if this place was a fast casual but their prices are definitely more on the expensive side. Went to this place on a whim. It's not close to us and it's $$$ so we were really counting on it being delicious. My husband got the smash burger and fries, it was huge and yummy. The fries were my favorite thing. I got the pork egg rolls (nothing special, very typical, not much flavor). I also got the drunken noodles with flank steak. It was good except it was very sweet and I was expecting it to be only savory. Everything was sweet. The fries and the egg roll dip too, so if you don't want sweet then I'd ask about non sweet choices. I didn't love the inside. It felt crowded and small. Overall, the food was good.
