I came to Tsunami Sushi in Lehi to celebrate my birthday, and it ended up being such a lovely, memorable evening. Our server -- I believe his name was Mark -- had just returned from his mission and was genuinely one of the kindest, most thoughtful servers I've had in a while. He made the whole experience feel calm, welcoming, and special. For appetizers, we ordered the Uli Style Edamame, which was fried with chili garlic. It was the perfect warm, flavorful start -- comforting, a little spicy, and so easy to keep snacking on. For rolls, we tried two and loved them both: Fire Breathing Dragon Roll Filled with crab, avocado, tempura onions, and spicy sauce, then beautifully topped with cold smoked salmon, eel, ebi, tobikko, and a drizzle of spicy honey teriyaki. It was rich, colorful, and layered with so many beautiful flavors. Truly a standout roll. Cococabana Roll Coconut-battered shrimp with jalapeños and spicy sauce inside, and tuna, avocado, cilantro, and eel sauce on top. This roll felt bright and fresh -- the perfect balance of sweet, crispy, and a touch of heat. We both loved it. We also enjoyed the sake flight, and it was such a fun addition to the meal. * My favorite was the Hana Fuji Apple, which was light and sweet in the best way. * He loved the Moonstone Asian Pear, which was smooth and refreshing. And of course... my favorite part: the Espresso Martini. Made with Five Wives Vodka, Mr. Black, and DaVinci coffee syrup, it was beautifully foamy and balanced -- easily in my Top 10. The perfect birthday toast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully served. It was exactly the kind of cozy, elegant birthday dinner I hoped for. I left feeling full, happy, and excited to come back again.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thank you, Tsunami Sushi, for a wonderful night.

Checked out Tsunami Sushi Bar recently. We had a big group and made reservations. I don't think we ended up needing them for a Sunday afternoon, but it was nice to have it just in case. This was my first time here, but I've heard great things. I was excited to try it. We ordered the spicy edamame. I loved it. It wasn't too spicy, which was good. I ordered the Buddha roll with soy paper instead of seaweed. It was soo good! I loved this for a vegetarian roll. A couple people in our group ordered the Honey Badger roll, which is also a vegetarian roll. I really liked this too. It was a lot lighter than the Buddha roll. I'll have to get this next time. I also had an order of vegetable tempura. These were breaded to perfection! I didn't love the broth/dipping sauce for these. I felt like it was really bland. I ended up dipping these in soy sauce instead. My boyfriend ordered the Executive Suite Roll & the Fire breathing Dragon Roll. He loved these. He also ordered the gyoza. They were typical gyoza. I left there really full, enjoyed my meal but since I don't eat fish, it's hard to compare this to another sushi place knowing I just order the vegetarian rolls. My boyfriend truly believes this place is so much better than other sushi places around. Check it out!

Always great service and delicious sushi. Their secret menu has a lot of great options as well. The DBD and the fire breathing dragon are two of my favorites. Everything is so fresh and flavorful. They fill the rolls and top them with so much fish. You can taste the high quality of the fish which I love!

This place is overhyped IMO. The sushi itself was decent, fresh enough and well-presented, but nothing stood out as exceptional or memorable. Some rolls felt a bit basic compared to other sushi spots in the area. Service was friendly but a little slow, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the atmosphere was fine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's an alright spot if you're nearby and craving sushi, but not a place I'd go out of my way to return to.

The appetizers here are to die for! The potstickers and shrimp poppers are absolutely delicious. I could (and have) eat just appetizers for a meal at Tsunami. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is perfect for a date or business meal[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and I have never had a problem with the service. The sushi rolls here look so good, but for some reason we only come when I am pregnant, and very few of the rolls (even cooked ones) sound pregnancy safe due to toppings like cold crab. I tried the bento box this time, and while my food was fine, it didn't taste as good as the sushi looked. I would love to see more fully cooked rolls on the menu.

I love this restaurant, I really do! Ask for Serene, she's wonderful and has the best recommendations and the GM here, Harrison is such a delight. I can't say I've tried everything on the menu, however, I really enjoy what I usually have here. Vegas, Executive Suite, Spicy Masa, gyoza, cucumber salad, spicy salmon hand roll this time. And a wonderful apple tart with ginger ice cream. oh, and the himachi yozu. 100/10

We wanted to give Tsunami a second chance so we stopped by earlier this week. We weren't expecting the best experience because our first was just okay. We got in shortly after opening. The host was welcoming and promptly found us a seat. Our server was extremely kind and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant looked clean but the floors were beyond sticky. My shoes actually stuck to the ground[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We just kind of laughed about it. My husband and I both ordered the lunch box combos. He tried a completely different meal than last time. I got almost the exact same from our first visit, only difference was my sushi roll. Our last visit we weren't very pleased with the quality of the food. The rice tasted old, everything else was just meh. This visit, the food tasted more fresh and we can honestly say it was better than the last. Our main complaint is that the rice always tastes like left over rice that's been reheated. The miso soup was nice, the cucumber salad was refreshing, the salmon was cooked just right, and their habanero salsa is probably my favorite thing they offer lol. I love it. Overall, better experience but still not somewhere I'd go out of my way to eat at

We liked every roll we got. We got 4 rolls, all very yummy and tasted fresh. We also got the dinner combination, with their teriyaki steak. The steak was cooked very well, very tender. I was bummed out about the vegetable tempura. They basically just served us a ton of fried broccoli, carrots and onions. Sad that there wasn't any other vegetables. Everything about the dinner combination also desperately needed salt. We also got calamari which really needed salt as well. All easy fixes. I was confused because I sat down and we're never given any menus. It wasn't until our server arrived that she told us we needed to see the menu through our phones. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the vibe of tsunami, it is beautiful. Love the artwork and the fun wood ceiling over the sushi bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Drove from Midway for it. We will be back. Service ! Freshness ! Flavor ! I am not sure what the rolls are but here is the picture.

While definitely on the pricier end, it's one of the fewer places to go for a nicer ambiance than the majority of sushi spots you have in Utah County that can be helpful for a date night or other special event. For the rolls, we typically get the executive suite and then a mix of what the servers suggest. The Korean style boneless beef short ribs were good. I like the tsunami baby back ribs a bit more. The skewers look good but haven't tried them yet! They seem to have good lunch specials also to try out. The service has consistently been on point and helpful in their suggestions and also just making sure you get what you want. Definitely give this place a try!

DRAGON and JENNY rolls to go
    Brigitte O.

Came this afternoon for takeout and so glad we decided to try Tsunami! Based on recommendation we tried the Jenny and we loved the thinly sliced lemon on top which elevated the roll. We also got the Dragon because eel is one of my favorites and we love avocado. Not all eel sushi is equal and the chefs here take the time to make sure the fish is fully deboned and it is a good quality cut. The sauce on the eel was balanced and not overly sweet -- just right. The wasabi was on point and the ginger was so fresh as well. An absolute delight to eat. We will 100% be back for more and highly recommend. This is one of the best sushi restaurants I've been to this year. You can tell they are knowledgeable and take care in their craft. The hostesses up front were knowledgeable and friendly and we loved the front entrance with the double set of doors that help keep the gusts of cold wind outside so that once you're inside it's comfortable. Our order arrived in a timely manner thankfully we came at an off time between traditional lunch and dinner. As we were headed out to leave my husband heard people making reservations and we noticed on our way out that the parking lot was considerably more full so you may want to arrive early if you're hungry. Glad to see they're doing well since we hope to come back again and again now that we've discovered this location. Overall a great experience. Thank you and keep up the great work!

This place is my heaven on earth. It has been a while since I had been to this location but it didn't let me down! The food was great as always! And the service was good! They were busy on a Saturday as we expected but we had a reservation so we were seated right away. This place is perfect for a date night to chat and catch up on life with your partner! Thanks for always taking great care of your customers!

Ask the Community - Tsunami Restaurant & Sushi Bar

Wait time and do they do reservations?

Wait time depends on the day and time of day but they do reservations. I've always done a reservation and never waited more than 5 minutes, even in a crowded lobby.

Do they offer all you can eat sushi?

They do not. They have discounts on Sundays, but no all you can eat.

    Do you need Reservations?

Thanks for your question, Nathan. While reservations are not required, we do recommend them, as during peak times there can sometimes be a bit of a wait. To make a reservation, simply go to tsunamiutah.com and click on the location of your choice.…

Are there discount days or something of the sort?

There is happy hour from 2-5pm where you can get some things for cheaper.

First, entering we were greeted by the servers who were smiley and friendly. The restaurant is decent sized and pretty clean. We were a little confused why it took almost 40 minutes to get our food. We were only one of three groups that were eating there. I am gluten free so I'm use to not having a ton of options and usually have to stay away from most of the sauces used but, I was able to order a few roles that are gluten free both naturally and/or after asking to not add a sauce. I was pleased to know they treat gluten free orders very cautiously and carefully. The roles are a good size, the fish tasted fresh and the flavors were great. Aside from the extremely long wait, the food was decent so we wanted to give them a second chance. Our second visit was much better. Greeted kindly again once we entered and sat right away. Our server was attentive and speedy. Our food came at a much better timing and the quality was consistent with our first visit. The prices are average, the quality of the food is good, servers are friendly and it's worth giving a shot

We ordered the orange chicken which came with rice and steamed broccoli and carrots. It was a big portion of chicken. We also got some sushi: golden salmon roll, kill bill roll, flame dragon roll, and Sumo roll. All these varied in taste and had different highlighted attributes. The flame dragon roll comes on fire and gives the salmon a really defined smoked flavor. I really liked that the golden salmon roll had a citrus tone. The kill bill roll had good crunch with the coconut tempera shrimp and some spicy with the jalapeño and cilantro. I really like all of the deep fried rolls but this one was especially good because of the tiger shrimp.

I checked the details, and she fixed it. Then technical issues prevented our payment using the device. So we had some delays. All in all, a decent experience.
