I tried the black bean salsa and the Hungarian hot pepper. The black bean salsa was very under seasoned in all aspects, there was no lime flavor and tasted like only sprinkle of sugar was added. There was no cilantro lime zing, no char on the corn. No visible herbs or spices. The Hungarian hot pepper is OK. Again no flavor to the filling, a small pile of spinach and coleslaw is given to help cut the heat which is appreciated.

This cool little food truck offers up some creative and delicious sandwiches, wraps, and even some macaroni and cheese. I stopped at this food truck on Tuesday while roaming through Larkin Square's food truck Tuesday and coming to the scientific conclusion that I absolutely needed to sink my teeth into a chorizo po'boy. The wait at this truck wasn't too long (which I now know means that a lot of people are missing out on a delicious sandwich) and I was able to get my sandwich in only a couple of minutes. The sandwich was super unique and full of flavour. It had chipotle creolaise, picked red onion, asian slaw, and served on a soft toasted ciabatta roll. All I know is that I found one of my new favourite sandwiches from eating here and I'll definitely be sinking my teeth into one of those po'boys again in the very near future. Hopefully the moderators accept the "not closed" I put in because this truck needs to be available for check in!

No not that dog, I mean the hot dog you order here! What else: Footlong dog, and I'm not talking about your man, you wish. Anything else: Yes. (shakes like a piece of chocolate). What was that? It's a chocolate shake! The service isn't always great but that can be said about every Ted's. It just depends which one of the 74 teenagers working at the place, that you get serving you. It's quint-essential Buffalo. Not that it's essential to have quints in Buffalo. Twins or triplets will do. Too expensive. But you must visit Ted's at least once to see what you think. Personally we just have cats, but we practice making babies constantly. They're a wonderful place. Their sausages are phenomenal, especially the Polish, the Footlong is great too. You absolutely must try the Polish, it shoots hot juice into my mouth even more expertly than any man I've ever met. It's just so damn delicious. Give it a try and see what I mean. They don't take phone orders (they should). Their Italian sausage is excellent, their burgers are nice, their footlongs and regular dogs are better, and their Polish is the piece-de-resistance, whatever that means. Perhaps you can use it to resist the fascists of new America, they're sadly on Yelp too. I can name them. For a small fee. It's good. Very good. And their chocolate milkshakes (with malt added) are muy excelente, if a little smallente. But also not as expensive as some shakes in the area and every bit as tasty. Ted's always disappoints me price wise. It looks cheap but next thing you know it's more than $10 for more than a snack. But it's excellent so I put up with it. Not a satisfying meal, but a wonderful snack. Which is why Akon did that song "Snack That" which was about Ted's. The Loganberry is also awesome, by the way. Totally different from Ted's. I think I like this better. At just over $5, this is a terrific place to bring your dog. It's very dog friendly. No bathrooms. Takes credit cards. No indoor seating. Overall, Red Top is a nice old timey place to be by the lake. I highly recommend this joint.

Then I got to Eastern Hills Mall and saw their food truck in the parking lot!. It's only drive up. They come up to your car to take your order, credit card only. Then you pull over and wait for your order, which they deliver to your car. Nothing like a hot dog on the first day of summer! This totally satisfy my craving which I had no doubt Ted's would do. Just got a plain hot dog with mustard and pickles. Can't wait fir their regular location to reopen.

The truck doesn't seem to make them quite as well. They would still get 4 stars for having really good Char grilled hot dogs and polish dogs except for the fact that they charge 50% more than the street locations. Isn't food truck food supposed to be cheaper? Because they have very few overheads? Not in Buffalo. So that is the reason for the three stars.

The plantains were especially excellent, with a good sweetness and soft in the center. My husband got a gigantic sandwich and said the meat was good quality. The square itself is neat too (shaded benches, plenty of historical stuff to read, loud music on the speakers) if you happen to find them at the same location. I really appreciated the truck staying open a few minutes past when the other trucks left, so we were still able to enjoy a delicious lunch even though we were right at closing time. Thank you!

I really enjoyed it. There were lots of people from the office building and a really long line and the truck did not seem to be able to keep up with the demand and it was one of the first cold days of the season, so that was a bit of a bummer. It was chewy and unappealing. I really only like my pig snouts/cartilage in the form of a char-broiled Sahlen's hot dog. I didn't care for whatever that was, but the mofongo was really good, and there was a generous portion of it too.
