Got a seamless alignment from Big O 4 months ago. Bought the $140 alignment package for alignments for a year. 4 months later my truck starts pulling left again. I call in to schedule an appt and get told to come in whenever and they'll get me right in today. I show up 15 minutes later and they look at my truck (not even on the rack). I get told that due to normal wear and tear there's no point in doing the alignment because it'll go back to how it was. They then proceed to give me an estimate of $2000 needed in repairs. I ask to see the alignment measurements to determine if I want to do the alignment and the guy says "we don't have them. there's no point but sure we'll get it on the rack when we can, but you'll be waiting a while." 30 minutes after I called in and the same guy told me to bring it by whenever and there will be no wait. So 4 months ago they told me my truck looks to be in good shape. I buy the $140 package for free alignments. Now I bring it in for an alignment and they won't do it because "there's no point" due to normal wear and tear damage over time. And as a kicker I asked if they at least put air in my tires and he said no. I will not be back as this chain is obviously very sketchy read more

Went in last week for a routine oil change. Showed up an hour earlier than my appointment and the employees there were so kind and great they were able to service me even earlier than my scheduled appointment. Made me feel very welcomed and gave me a full rundown of the entire service without having to ask. Even offered to give me a shuttle ride home while I wait! Went above and beyond my expectations for the service and customer service. This will definitely be my new location for all my future car and tire needs! read more

Excellent and honest! I've been to Discount Tire and now Big O Tires, both provide great service but the big difference is that Big O Tires don't try and up sell you when you don't need new tires. The Big O staff on Cave Creek just north of the 101 are outstanding! read more

Tried charging me 75 dollars to hammer a socket onto a wheel lock and impact it off, would literally take 5 minutes. These guys are crooks only reason I came was because I don't have a turn table to mount the tires on the rims myself. read more

I had been coming here since 2014 when I worked on the other side of the 101 up until I moved a couple of years ago. I will say that since leaving I haven't found any stores that come close to this one for me. I received consistent and honest service and they never pushed anything on me. Always willing to walk me through a purchase or a service, showing me what I need and providing me time to look around if I needed something less expensive / a promotion elsewhere. I can't say enough good things about them because they were nothing but helpful and I am grateful for it. I know if I return to the valley they are the store I'm going to. read more

Poor customer service. Made an appointment for a couple days out through the website which was easy enough. Selected their advertised "best" tire.. only to receive a call back saying it's a special order tire and I would need to come in and put a deposit down before they would order it. I would have gladly paid through the app if a deposit or full payment was needed but I'm sorry, I'm not making a special trip to the store to put a deposit down. If you want my business you need to be better than that. read more

None of the employees is wearing a mask. They do put masks on after I ask, but every few minutes a new employee comes inside and ig isn't my job to enforce this law. They don't care about my safety or yours. In addition, the guest Wifi doesn't work. read more

Took my car in for a flat tire repair. A week later I started having intermittent problems with my tire. I'd come out mornings, the tire would be flat. It cost me to be late twice to work because while driving on the 101, it would go flat while driving. The shop is 45 minutes from my house. I had to take my car to a discount tire down the street from my home which was the closest, and had to ask him to take a look at my tire. Upon inspection they found that big o who did the previous tire repair on the passenger rear tire did not do a proper job. They took off too much material from the back of the tire to give proper adhesion to the patch, he also removed excessive material from the back of the tire showing the nylon or steel wire in the back of the tire. Discount tire immediately told me they wouldn't be able to repair it and that I would need a new tire. Being that I need this car, and didn't have time to get it to my shop I purchased the tire and I went to work and I called big o and informed them that I would need a refund along with covering the cost of this new $100-150 tire. Big o and cave Creek informed me that they would pass on my information, and someone would call me back. That was close to almost 4 weeks ago. Since that day I've called twice more. Left my name and my number and was promised to get a call back but received nothing but radio silence. Today Wednesday December 8th, I made the 45-minute trip from my home to cave Creek big o tires. Greeted by Gill Saenz and another younger man in the front who was a "manager". I explained to him that discount tire tried to repair the tire and could not and had to replace it. Immediately Gill told me I was full of shit. He then proceeded to tell me that he's been working on cars for 20something years and that my experience and my knowledge was not anything compared to his (mind you I'm a ASE master certified tech and have been for almost ten years). He refunded me my $27. And basically told me to get out of the store, while refusing to give owner contact info to get this resolved. Not only have I contacted corporate and filed a formal complaint this is my last step before taking the legal route, this one mess up by them being a tire and all has caused nothing but issues that they refuse to take responsibility for. They won't even give me the owners name, email or phone number to attempt contact so I can speak to whomevers hiding behind their shoddy work and their lack in customer service. Just don't come here period. When they do ruin your car you'll be left on the side of the road wondering what to do aswell because they won't help you, period, when in fact it's their fault. read more

Made appointment together with tires already selected, which were to be in stock at this location. Spent nearly an hour driving on a run flat tire to get to this out of the way location for me on a Sunday and arrived and learned that they weren't in stock. Shop claimed they tried to reach me but phone record does not suppose that. Further, there were no tires available that met my specs. Only tires that they could get by next day were much more expensive. Explained the extra time, inconvenience that this would cause - associate apparently could offer nothing but an apology. read more

Let me start off by saying that I've been here before and had good service with the same individual that help me today to be fair. Today I was in with two nails about 2 inches apart on a tire that was pretty new, they informed me that they wouldn't be able to patch the tire. (So I had to buy a new one )As they were putting the tire on I told the man working (I'll leave his name out) while he was eating his quesadilla and helping customers and talking with his mouth full of food, that if I took my tire to another tire place and they were able to patch it I'd like to return it and he told me that that wasn't an option so I basically felt like they were trying to get into my pockets. I had a coupon for maintenance and an oil change. My husband had dropped off my car to get it done. I get a call a few minutes after my husband dropped off my car saying I needed my rear shock absorber replaced and it would cost approx $500-600. I did not believe this person because my car was driving fine. Later I took my car to my regular mechanic and he inspected my car and he said there was nothing wrong with my car. The rear shock absorber did not need replacement. This place is not very honest, they were trying to scam us into getting unnecessary repairs done and spending money. My husband had his tires done here and liked the manager but since this place lied to us we are never coming back here again. Deceitful and evil!! Why treat your loyal customers like this? I really wanted to update my last review. I used to REALLY like this Big O location but through my recent experience, I will not be returning to have any of my vehicles serviced here again. As I stated in my original review, I have been taking my vehicles to this location since 2010. They have since been purchased or are under new ownership. None of the original staff is still working there. The new staff was nice enough when I went in to have my oil changed, just not like the friendly staff before. No biggie, I was happy to leave my truck there for the oil change. It wasn't until I received a call from Doug to inform me that my battery was bad and he would be happy to clean my battery terminals when he replaced my old battery. He didn't "ask" if I would like to have them replace it. I told him "No do not replace my battery." I knew that the battery was only about a year old and that if in fact there was a problem with my battery that it would still be under warranty (it has a 3 yr warranty thru AutoZone where I purchased it). So I went to AutoZone and they tested the battery and it tested at 100%. I tried to call Doug to find out what the battery had tested at while still at AutoZone, was placed on hold for about 10 min, hung up and called back, placed on hold again... So I decided I would just stop in on my way home. Doug tried to explain what it tested at and showed me a piece of paper that had some information on it. So I asked, how it could test out differently and how many people have they sold batteries to that didn't actually need a new battery. He said he didn't test the battery himself so he could not answer my questions. I suggested the have their equipment checked to make sure it is performing correctly. I need to be able to trust where I get my vehicles service and if it's going to cost me $108 for an oil change I may as well take it to the dealership where the vehicle was purchased. They also told me my lug nuts were swollen (it is a real thing, learned something new) and a new set was $100. I purchased a new set off of Amazon for under $50. Lastly, there was a shorter dark haired man behind the counter that was shaking his head and making negative gestures when I mentioned how nice the old staff was and commented that "they didn't do things the right way." Maybe, but I can tell what they did do right, I felt valued as a customer and trusted them in their diagnostics of my vehicles. read more

Worked on my car and made it worse, actually broke other things and did not tell me. Charged me for something I did not need. Ended up taking it to another place and they were also shocked at what they said and did. This store is open Sunday and Discount Tire is not, so I figured I'd give them a try. Upon arrival all of the bays were empty. This is never a good sign for ANY automotive shop. They should be slammed on the weekends. This speaks for itself. I had to wait to get helped while one staff member was leaning on the counter telling jokes and the other was just walking around aimlessly. It felt like I was interrupting their fun with my annoying tire problems. I went with my gut feeling and just left. Lesson learned. I'd rather wait in line Monday and work with professional technicians that behave like they're in (what should be) a fast-paced service environment. Reading through the reviews it appears people liked Kyle but he doesn't work there anymore. Took the car in for an oil change. The sitting area was a filthy mess i.e. why even have a customer lounge? As part of the service they said I need a new air cleaner, which I declined. As I was driving home there were a lot of strange noises under the hood. When I got home I found they left the air cleaner unhooked. The next day I noticed oil leaks in the garage. Did they tighten the drain pan plug or the oil filter? Did they use the correct viscosity? Its a wonder my engine did not seize. These guys are clowns and if they can't perform a simple oil change why would anyone trust them with any kind of work. I won't. I've gone to this Big O a few times for an oil change, and had a decent experience before. So I'm not sure if this last experience is a fluke or just coincidental, but I got an oil change there two weeks ago. The day I got my oil change, my battery started draining (6 month old battery). Every morning for the next several days we had to jump my car. After about a week, we exchanged the battery for a new one because it was still thankfully under warranty. Then the brand new battery was drained every morning and we realized it was the car, not the battery. I called Big O and told them my battery had been draining since the day I got my oil change. They told me to bring in my car. I did. They told me my alternator was bad and it would cost $750 to install a new one and they could do it in a couple of hours. I told them I didn't have time to do it right then. I then went over to the Infiniti dealer and they told me no way was my alternator bad. But they also wanted $145 to diagnose the source of the drain, so I told them I would see if Midas could figure it out because I had to run over there for new rear pads anyway. Midas checked it out and told me my alternator was fine and my battery terminals were loose. They tightened them up for me for free. That was it. I still had my doubts as to whether this could really be all that was causing it, but this morning my car started up for the first time since I got my oil change with no problems at all. I'm sure glad I didn't spend $750 for a new alternator at Big O. And of course, if somehow it turns out my alternator actually is bad, I will come back and update my review. All I've laid out here are the facts of what has gone on with my car over the last two weeks. You can deduce from it what you want. I personally won't be going back to Big O again. read more

Seriously, I CANNOT say enough good about the team at this Big O! They have been taking care of my cars since I moved to Arizona in 2003, and I would never go to someone else. I trust them implicitly, and have referred many people to their care. I have had friends and family members go other places and be told they needed hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars of work done - on brakes, engine stuff, you name it - then come to Big O for a second opinion and have it be nothing of the sort. They accommodated me on 10 minutes notice. They have a pleasant waiting area, great customer service and very reasonable cost for an oil change. read more

what is it with my luck paying money for services that fail to fix my problem? I went in to Big O Tires after seeing an advertisement on their window for an A/C check. After driving around 2 wks in a hot as hell car I said enough is enough and gave them a call to diagnose the problem. I was told that I was almost a pound low on freon and sent on my way. Yay! Cheapest option, right? Wrong. So very very wrong. Unfortunately I dropped by an hour before closing so I'm guessing I was rushed out while they were closing shop. They either never checked the air coming out of my vents for themselves or they KNEW they were ripping me off $150. As I pulled into my driveway 15 minutes later my car was no cooler at all. Next day I book it there to see what they could do since I just dropped some cash there. "Come in Saturday and my A/C guy will take a look." Fine. Come Saturday I'm praying for a leak somewhere. Hey! I paid $15 for flourescent dye! It better prove useful. 30 minutes later and I'm told it is low. "So it leaked since Monday?" I asked. "Monday?" "Yes. I brought it in Monday and paid for an evac and recharge." He had no idea. Smell something fishy yet? So he takes it back again and looks it over finally coming back to say he was wrong about it being low (REEEEEAAALLY FISHY) and it is either one of two parts. I was referred to a shop for them to check as they couldn't do it there but they couldn't refund me for the evac and recharge. However I could have this shop do the repairs and Big O wouldn't charge for the second evac and recharge that would have to be done on my car. First off... nobody would let someone leave their shop after doing work only to have someone else finish the job. WTF. So here I am now spending a grand for a new A/C today when $29.95 was supposed to diagnose this a week ago. If you are feeling charitable, at least pick a more honest organization to throw your hard earned money at. Now if you excuse me, I have a district manager to write. read more

When it comes to any repair shop, we have all heard or had horror stories. This place was great. I had 3 tires replaced and asked them to check my brakes as they were squeeling a bit. I had previously called several other places for tire quotes, and they came in at the best price. What really impressed me was that they said I did not need new brakes yet! I complained about the squeeling, and was sure I needed replacement. I was told the pads still had 40% on them and could hold off for a while. The squeeling was just from brake dust most likely from cheaper pads. My wait time was estimated at about 30 min, and it was more like 50, but anyone that honest is hard to find, and must be recommended. read more

Made an appointment for an oil change and was ensured that the price would be at their current sale price of $16.95 My car has been serviced at this location several times, without issue. Today, I show up to my appointment, to an employee with NO MASK ON, who then informs me that my oil change is going to be nearly $70. He then acted like he was doing me a huge favor by telling me he'd take $15 off, making the price, more than triple the advertised price. The man had zero customer service skills and was rude. Not to mention, he's putting every customer and their families at risk by not following health and safety mandates, by not wearing a mask. Shameful. read more

Not all Big-O locations are equal; the franchise owners and management team here are exceptional and I do not think it is possible to get bad service. This was my first time here and I'm really sorry but I'm not impressed. I got a groupon for some oil changes here. So I'm using it. I had to schedule an appointment and I showed up for my scheduled appointment 10 minutes early. This shop is tucked away and there is barely any parking at all. So I walked into the office and the guy at the front was nice and courteous and checked me in. However, from the time I walked in the the office to the time they pulled my car into the bay it was 45 minutes. During that time I sat in my car waiting because there seems to be no place to sit in the actual office. If there was, it wasn't obvious becasue I saw no chairs and they didn't bother to direct me to have a seat while I wait. As I'm sitting there in my car I can see some guy working in my rear view mirror and the machine he was working on was either not working right or he didn't know how to use it... At one point, I hear some one yell out "what the fucking shit" and the sound of a hand tool like a wrench or something hitting the concrete. I'm not saying they need to add plants and change the decor, but they need to know what type of customers they cater to, clean the place up and add some professionalism. When the man at the front counter went over my information, he said that the mechanics "recommended" that I flush ALL fluids, brake, transmission, everything. They also recommended that I buy all new timing belts, they also said my battery was leaking water. So I politely said thank you and later my husband said he would check all of those items for me. If only all mechanic shops had the professionalism and cleanliness that Discount Tire has in all their stores. I wish Discount Tire did oil changes. After this coupon I'm definitely not coming back here again. read more

Scheduled an appointment to get an oil change, which includes a tire rotation. While I was checking in I confirmed that it included a tire rotation, and specified to please rotate my tires. After waiting for almost 2 hours (even with an appointment) for a basic oil change, I paid and went to leave. After walking back to my vehicle I noticed they DID NOT ROTATE MY TIRES. I went back in and asked the service desk if they had rotated them. He went and asked the tech who had worked on my vehicle, andsaid they had. What they didn't notice was that I had marked my tires with chalk. The tech, KOBE GURR, then came and tried telling me he had. I told him he HAD NOT, and he then said he had but if I'd like they would rotate them again. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS LOCATION. THEY WILL LIE STRAIGHT TO YOUR FACE. AND POOR management, who witnessed this while things never said a word or try to fix the issue!!!! read more
