I have mixed feelings about this location. So i initially contacted this location by phone on Saturday morning prior to going in to ask how much they were charging for a 4 wheel alignment and they quoted me $59.95 + tax. Now I was already hesitant since other local Big O Tires had done me wrong but I figured for $10 more I would go here due to convenience in location. Here is where my mixed feelings come in... I waited 3 hours on a saturday morning from 8 am until 11 am. Then as I waited in the waiting area I watched them place my car on the machine and miraculously 15 minutes later my car was done. That afternoon I had the luxury of taking my car for an 80 mile drive in which I realized 3 things: 1. My car is still pulling to the right! 2. My car now shakes once we drive above 65 mph! 3. And they broke my center console! Which is what brings me to my second trip to this location Monday afternoon. They discovered that I supposedly only requested a front wheel alignment (which tookthem and hour to discover and inform me of). Then they charged me an additional $20 to do a 4 wheel alignment ( so now it cost me $79.95 + tax with using a $10 coupon)! And another 45 minutes to complete. While they were trying to figure out why my car was still pulling to the right they came back and said that my struts needed to be replaced and if I had them fix it they would charge me $949.00 and as a courtesy credit me the $59.95 I had previously paid. I politley declined that offer. Now on to my third visit which is why I gave them 3 stars instead of 1. They were honest enough to fix my center console they broke and called me when the part came in and they installed it for me. Had they not been in honest and fixed their error I wouldprobably not return to this location ever. However the crew that works Monday thru Friday seems pretty honest. read more

I was trying to contact Big O Tires, and unfortunately my experience with EJ, who identifies himself as a manager and says he has been there for 15 years, was extremely disappointing. From the very beginning, EJ was rude and disrespectful. He repeatedly talked over me and would not allow me to finish explaining my concerns. Instead of listening to a customer, he continued arguing with me when I questioned his position and, more importantly, the way he was treating me. What made the situation even more frustrating was that he showed absolutely no concern about the fact that the owner would be there on Thursday and that I could come in and speak with him directly. His attitude made it seem like customer concerns simply didn't matter. Then he says he's not gonna service our needs and we can go elsewhere. What a shame I hope karma doesn't bite em in the rear A manager should be able to listen to a customer, communicate professionally, and address concerns without talking over or arguing with them. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I will be taking my concerns directly to the owner. Although fees "up to $35" is in the "fine print" of the $49.95 oil change & free tire rotation coupon, nobody could explain why my total was over $100. As with Jennifer's review, the only explanation I received was that my vehicle takes 7 qts of oil (more than the 5 included in the coupon). Although the staff member who brought my car out of the garage was wearing gloves, they were covered with grease which transferred to my, previously pristine, steering wheel. If you're going to charge $20+ for supplies, USE A DISPOSABLE STEERING WHEEL COVER! Additionally, the cling sticker said my mileage was 33551 (it was only 26551 - major difference). The final insult was, even though I had handicapped plates and was walking with a cane, my vehicle was parked over 100 ft further away than the OPEN handicapped spot. read more

Store # 004120 - spoke to Robert. 1815 W Valencia rd , Tucson Az I was charged different prices for the same service on two trucks -- with zero consistency or transparency. When I asked for an explanation, the staff was rude, dismissive, and flat-out refused to walk through the charges. Even better? I was charged a "shop supplies" fee when no parts were even purchased -- and they wouldn't explain that either. In fact they were rude at the vehicle drop off before the BS charges they wouldn't explain at pick up. If your pricing is legit, explaining it shouldn't be a problem. I went to a Freon gas refill and they put the wrong gas in my car. 2 months later, the car's compressor broke down.

I wish I could give them negative stars!!! They were involved in an accident with my husband's vehicle!!!! They refused to take ANY responsibility for what happened. Beware according to them when you give them your keys you are giving them permission to drive your vehicle wherever. Absolutely disgusting!!! Go somewhere else or don't turn over your keys. I went to get my brake pads changed and when I left my traction control light came on. This is a 2018 car and this happened in 2021. I've had the light on for a while until I got some techs to look at it and what do you know? A clean cut right to the cable along with the bracket that holds the cable not even connected. I was a customer of big bought 1 set of tires had then installed, balanced, Car viabrated starting about 58mpr got worse when I went up to 65, took it in and was told it needed front end work, tie rod ends, etc, cost of almost $600 car still viabrated when driving at about 58mpr worse at 65mph took it back again and when the "manager" acted like it was my fault, when I challenged him on that he threw my keys at me told me to leave. After reading reviews from all 3 locations in Tucson, I will not be going back or recomending them to anyone. read more

I went n early for a slow leak in one of my tires. The desk person told me it would be 2 to 3 hours because there were 2 people on from my of me. I decided to wait, believing that it could not take that long. I felt very unwanted. I have the gentleman my information them he started talking to the next person in line. I wasn't sure I was done. I sat down and had to listen to Fox News which was extremely irritating. Then I heard the same gentleman say "she says she has a leak, but it's probably just the change in weather. Have taken two vehicles here for balance and both were significantly off afterwards. They do not give you info on what the state of your tires were before they supposedly balance them. I had to change my review because after getting the alignment done and asking if there was any other problems, we had serious problems. A bent stabilizing bar and busted stabilizing shock. I took my suv for new tires and they broke my center cap. It was what ever it wasn't going to effect the vehicle's performance, and it was replaceable so what ever. I took my suv back to them a second time for a spear tire as they are the only ones who sell that brand of tire to match all my tires. A week in half later as I was looking at my rear rotors and feeling them to see if I was in need for a rotor change. I noticed that they broke one of my wheel studs on the rear driver side tire. I took it back to him the next day of noticing it. I spoke with the manager wich I believe was Ernesto Perez. He denied it and told me that they didn't do it. I told him that you guys were the last ones to service my vehicle. All he has to say was all I can do is give you a discount on the labor for fixing it. I told him thats BS! Why am I going to pay for something that you guys broke? He said well we didn't brake it and thats all I can do for you. I told him I to him I just spent $900 at your business and that's how your going to treat me? I told him my three small children ride in that vehicle! Not to mention we rode like that on the freeway! With our three small children like that with a broken wheel stud that they broke! I reported him to the BBB I'm just waiting for the outcome of it. My mom had a great experience at this location. EJ was very helpful and demonstrated outstanding customer service. Unfortunately my mom was completely disappointed with the Big O tires on Wilmot and after a HORRIBLE experience there she decided to contact the Valencia location. I am giving a 1 start because it wont let me do a ZERO! We have been using Big O for the better part of 20 years. Spending thousands upon thousands. Saturday, we went to the location we have been using for the past 9 years. We just needed them to put a tire onto a rim and fill it with air. They wanted to charge us $15. When my husband said something about this to the manager and how it was not right that he is trying to charge us so much, and said that we would not be coming back. The manager says "ok that's fine". Was first one there and of course they opened late so I had to wait, no wifi (on the website says they have it), Went in for a basic oil change/wheel rotation and balance. Oil was left all over on my inside door handle. Truck shakes at 50 mph even worse than what it shook before I took it in. Asked if I could get the "early bird" $16.95 oil change (also on the website) and in retaliation was made to wait to prove where I bought my tires from otherwise I would have to pay for the so called "balance" and rotation. Before I asked for the special they didn't need to verify. They called and verified I did buy from the Big O on Alvernon and than was still not charged correctly. In my opinion take your vehicles to the Big O on Alvernon. I made a mistake coming here because it's closer to my house. Oh yeah after all that their credit card machine was not working so they had to call another Big O to process and once again I had to wait to get a receipt faxed back. I have mixed feelings also on this location. I've been a regular customer for many years, but lately, I feel like I've become a "number"..I'm waiting longer there each time I go & they seem understaffed..a 30 minute wait usually turns into a 1.5 to 2 hour wait...The bathroom was literally out of hand soap on this last visit..Firstly, 2 or 3 years ago, they had put the WRONG oil in my vehicle..They DID correct that ( without offering to flush out my motor though )..Now for the HARSH part...I'm not going to identify the "highly reputable" mechanic here because I am a regular customer and he has done outstanding work in the past, but I recently went here and had my spark plugs changed out, I come to find out via a Private Mechanic like 4 or 5 days later that he did NOT tighten up one of my Spark Plugs & the top of one of my spark plug wire boots was not firmly pressed down onto the top of one of my plugs I discovered within one hour of leaving the shop. I subsequently ended up getting a "CHECK ENGINE" light triggered 4 days later for that SPECIFIC Cylinder and AutoZone hooked up an OBD2 scan tool ( I have the PRINTED OUT evidence of this) & revealed it was that same cylinder he did not firmly press down the wire boot onto...He also did not "think" I needed new plug wires. Long story short but I ended up changing out the wires on my own like 5 or 6 days later & the bottom of one of the wire boots ended up "fusing" onto the top of a plug when I tried pulling it out & the middle half was so brittle it disintegrated on me..I have EVIDENCE of this.. I ended up having to "fish out" everything via a Pick tool set ( paid 10 bucks for that ) that I got at O'Reillys...This mechanic also cracked the Air intake tube that attached to the front of my Throttle valve body & put some bright orangish-colored Permatex on WITHOUT TELLING ME he had done that ( or maybe he just forgot to tell me ? )..I have Photo Evidence of this..I eventually told him that & he said "he was just trying to help me save some money" so I wouldn't have to changeout the entire tube...I eventually came back ( with my Evidence ) & brought all of this to the Managers attention ( "EJ" ), who, unfortunately, just tried to brush this all off. It was "brother with brother" just chuckling away & feeling confident they couldn't have done anything wrong..I ended up calling the Managers Dad ( "Ernie" ), who runs the Silverbell store & he told me he would give me a free Oil Change the next time I need one..But even Ernie seemed like he couldn't wait to get off the phone with me..Before he hung up the phone he was already talking to another customer, LOL...Point is, WHY do I have to go call the Managers Father to bring this to somebody's attention that something WRONG was done to me & for me to ask for anything ???? BTW, try to change out your own fuel Filter because they want $50 in Labor to R&R a fuel filter which I find outrageous...What do you folks think ? This mechanic may not be perfect but it should still be pointed out...I'll still give them 3 stars though because the vast majority of the work done is excellent, but lately I just don't "feel" like the highly valued customer I once was..I'm not being given "big breaks" with the final "out the door" bills & I PUMP out alot of money to this place to keep them alive.. I also detect "trickery" or "bamboozlement" at times, hard to prove but it's just something I strongly sense.... I've been to this location before to have a tire patched. They did an excellant job so when recently my front tire started shredding I did my shopping around. Due to convenience I chose this store to have my tires replaced. When I first called they told me that they had Aspen tires for my car on hand. When I arrived they said that they ran out and would sell me Verazzio's instead for the same price. It took them roughly 40 minutes to swap my old tires for the new ones. The staff was super friendly. They didn't try to sell me any extra's or push any other services on me. My only concern was that the Aspen tires cost slightly more than the Verazzio's so I thought I had been bamboozled. I called another Big O in town and their Verazzio's were $10 cheaper. Lesson learned on my part that each store has a different owner and slightly different prices. I do like that they will repair my tire for free, rotate tires and rebalance them for the life of the tire. If your looking for convenience this store is your spot. As with all things price compare amongst the other Big O's and their competitors. read more
