After 3 hours' repair, they claimed the problem is solved. After we drove out of the store, it was only good for 1.5 hours and it is overheated again, thanks to their magical hands. We were stuck in the middle of nowhere and was towed again. They charged 865 bucks: 202 for the parts and 600 for the labor cost ($150/hour): I just don't know where the extra $63 comes from. Ryan actually worked 3 hours on my car, and said it is a 4-hours work. He explained how good he is and was able to finish the 4-hour work in 3 hours, and gave me a funny example of his 12 year old brother would use longer time and charge even more if mechanics are paid by actual working hours. I was just amazed how well he can debate; I think he should run for the president because the two candidates both suck at it. Hey Ryan, I think your 12 year old brother would do that better than you. Next time I want your brother to fix the car for me. Please visit this space if you want your car broken on the road again, being overcharged, and joining some really funny debate. They recommended WE DRIVE AN HOUR AND HALF TO FLAT LAND, and see if it would work it self out. WHAT?!? Absolutely, Ludicrous. At that time, I just started making phone calls to local mechanics. Thank god we stumbled on western Summit Mobile Service! They answered and immediately said to bring our truck right over. We were greeted by Matthew who came out to the truck and started working on the truck right away. Not only very professional but the friendliest of guys! Rocky came out and helped as well. We also learned that the truck would not have made it to this "flat land" summit ford "recommended". Unfortunately, after working on the truck for 30 minutes, they came to the conclusion that we needed some additional equipment but they graciously recommended another local business across the street and didn't even charge us a fee. When I went up to the counter they told me I could go to Carquest pick up the oil filter and the oil and come back. Instead, I drove to the Valvoline spot in Eagle Vail. I was able to drive my car right into the bay and sit in my vehicle while they changed the oil and they had me out in 10 minutes. Alejandro, the manager was extremely friendly and capable . I discovered that my left/rear tire was VERY low, so I pumped it up with my DeWalt jump starter/pump while I checked Apple Maps for a local tire repair shop near me (Frisco, CO). The first "hit" was Big O Tire in Frisco, so I called them and told them I had a tire going flat, and needed a quick repair. It was 4:40 pm, and their response was, "We close at 5:00 pm, so we don't have time to help you out". Gee...thanks for nothing! I went back to Apple Maps and the second "hit" was Utopia Tire and Auto Repair. I called them and told them my situation. Jessica checked with her team and came back and said, "Bring it in and we'll do our best to help you". I limped to their shop, they threw my van into their bay, pulled the tire off, patched the hole, and sent me safely/happily on my way home in 15 minutes, as they locked the doors and closed up shop at 5:02 pm. AMAZING customer service, and even more importantly -- so very awesome that they took my issue on at the "last minute" and made sure that I got it fixed and sent me down the road to make it home, even if they had to do so at the very end of their workday.
