Not so great. Went in for an oil change- was told it would be around 90 min. Not so, it was over three hours and I had to call for status. All said- oil change turned into an aggressive sales pitch for new tires all around. Promoting four tires for the price of three. Was told rubber was old. And they are only 3.5?years old with 27K on them. My opinion, beware of this and get another shop to access your tires if it's questionable. Last time I had a similar experience with the wait time and was told I needed an alignment? Feels like the "upsell" is a part of their business model. I'm sure there are more vulnerable car owners that get bit by the pushy "fear factor." read more

Everything seemed until fine some months later I was low on oil and brought it in to have them check and low and behold I found that the job was never done, paid for it but got nothing... As I was standing outside the shop I see the mechanics laughing as a stand under the car , he said you haven't had this done in a while you still have the old filter with a date on it (older than the prior oil change). Come to find out they never did the job. I got an apology and a free oil change. In addition to the oil change being done. Manager was shocked that this took place and very apologetic .....six months down line, I'm in for that oil change freebie and get nothing but rude attitude from "Anthony"....... I will never use this place again. While waiting I hear them trying to hard sale an older woman that she "needs new tires before it's too late..! SMH.... read more

Called them up and got told their oil change with a tire rotation was going for $49.99 plus tax and I said great I will be right in. Got there and the person assisting me was nice and started taking care of me right away. He typed up all the stuff to get me set up and then presents me with a different price of $87+. Very misleading, I understood that my car needed 2 more quarts than the 5 covered under the 49.99, but for it to be nearly $40 more than advertised with the two additional quarts is not acceptable. I opted to just do my tire rotation since I didn't feel like doing that myself due to the amount of work and not having the right jacks to do it myself. That came out to about $22 out the door. I headed straight to AutoZone after and got their oil change package, oil (5 quarts), oil filter, air filter and they throw in a nice fuel injector bottle in the deal came out to $37.99 plus tax and I added the two quarts more for another $15. I did the oil change myself in 15 minutes when I got home, saved myself some money still and got myself a higher tier oil while at it. I understand some people don't have the inclination to do all this themselves but don't get suckered by their advertised pricing. read more

I've been taking my truck to this location for years. There's a reason I keep going back. They've earned my trust. They go the extra mile, which in part means they don't nickel and dime you out the door. I think often times the lower reviews are in place because people don't really understand the technical nature of some of their repairs and how the liability issues surrounding those recommendations play out. No one likes to spend money on vehicle repairs, but that's not something you can avoid. I've had some very difficult conversations about a truck that's 11 years old, but you know what. . . it's better than a car payment, higher registration and higher insurance. Arizona sun is brutal on your car. Car manufacturers are not building cars to last either. Dealerships are keeping above average inventories on certain parts which are "integrated systems" because of "known" issues which should be recalls, but are not. It literally runs into the thousands. At the end of the day, I know I'm getting a fair evaluation of issues and competent mechanics who are not afraid to bring in a specialist when they're looking at a challenging problem. That's been my experience. Not once in over 15 years have I run into a rude, dismissive or manipulating representative. Perfectly happy with Big O and the folks who treat me like my family. read more

I dropped my elderly (83) father to get a tire repaired. It was clearly repairable since the nail was in the center of the tire. My father calls me and states that they recommend four new tires. I went back and asked them why and they said because it's AWD all tires need to be replaced( their lie doesn't even make sense) We bought the car two years ago with 5 miles and now it's has 21k miles. Very shady and dishonest. We went to Costco and they repaired it no problem for $15. read more

STAY AWAY. My son took his car to Big O because they have a cheaper oil change price than most competitors around thinking he was getting a better deal. My son decided to go the on his own because he likes to maintain his own car. First issue was that he waited in the waiting room for over 2 hours for an oil change. 2nd issue was that they told him his car has an oil leak when it never did before it went there for an oil change. The car was always parked in the garage and never leaked. Suddenly the car is home for a day and it's leaking oil in the garage when it has never done this before. I decided to get under the car and find that the oil filter is loose and wasn't even tightened correctly. Is this done on purpose to try to get someone to come back for additional work? In addition, I took another car there a few years back and exactly the same situation happened. This place seems shady to me. They saw a younger kid and thought they could take advantage of the situation. My sister-in-law also took her car here and was told the engine was done and they would buy the car from her for $500. All I should have to say for you to choose another shop is that they literally tried to charge me for a service that was not performed. On top of that the balance and alignment was terrible. I took it to a different big o location and was told that the balance was all wrong and almost opposite of what should have been done. Fixed the alignment while I was there too. I work very close to this location and my BMW wouldn't start. I walked over and Rob was exceptionally kind and willing to help. He walked with me to my vehicle and jumped it. It turns out it has a much bigger issue than the battery. he was super communicative the entire time, and in my opinion went above and beyond at every stage to ensure that I felt comfortable with what we were doing, and what the next step was. I am also a business owner and I think customer service is a lost art, but not with Rob at this location. Car trouble is never fun but luckily Rob made it as good as can possibly be. read more

I'm not sure about the other reviews on this page, since I had the exact opposite experience. I was forced to use them by necessity as my car died in the middle of the intersection and I coasted into the parking lot next-door. One of their technicians saw me and came to help push my car to a safe place. He along with others from the shop, then proceeded to help me get my car to the shop and diagnose the issue. It turned out to be something they could fix relatively quickly and easily and they did so with kindness with efficiency. I was having a really bad weekend in general due to some injuries in personal circumstances, so this was the icing on the cake as my car would not start at all, no matter how many times I tried. I was worried it was going to be a big expense repair on top of all the money I had to spend on emergencies this week. Everyone in the shop was super compassionate and helpful and they had me on my way in no time. It turned out that the issue was that my oil change company probably didn't actually put the right amount of oil or replace my fluids. They topped off the fluids and replaced to the cap and sent me on my way. I was able to drive on my way and have a much better day. These guys felt like angels in disguise. They have definitely earned my business for the future. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I am absolutely mind-blown that places like this still exist. I took my vehicle in for brake pads and an oil change. I called prior and got a rough estimate of a quote over the phone, explained we were ONLY doing brake pads on the front because we were aware that the rotors were fine. I was given a quote of approximately $200-$220 with tax, out the door for both an oil change and the front brake pad exchange. I made the appointment. I go in, and tell them what I was told over the phone. They take my vehicle back, and Tryston comes back out and tells me that I need $2,600+ in work done on my vehicle. I tell him I just want the brake pads and oil change done. He proceeds to tell me I need rotors, but they did not even measure my rotors to determine if I actually needed them or not. Furthermore, the guy tells me that it has been grinding metal to metal for some time now. Which is NOT true, the grinding literally just started. I went and got a second opinion, and I was told I do not need rotors all the way around, and some of the items that were on that list were absolutely not things that needed to be completed right now, or anytime soon. I do not recommend going to this place. This is literally an example of robbery. They will nickel and dime you and upsell every little thing until you have no choice but to apply for credit and get the work done. Not to mention, he intimidated me by advising me that my vehicle was not safe to drive without the work being completed. UPDATE: the work that Big O' Tires claimed to have been needed on my vehicle has been evaluated by third look at my vehicle by yet another mechanic. Here's the difference that we were given. Cabin Air Filter - Big O' Tires claimed it needed to be replaced. It was replaced. Big O' Tires quoted a $50 cabin air filter. It was replaced for $11. Engine Air Filter - Big O' Tires claimed it needed to be replaced. It was replaced, but was not needed at all. The image of the filter they showed me and the one that came out of my vehicle were nothing alike. Big O' Tires quoted me $25 for this filter. It was $9.99. Brake Fluid Service - Big O' Tires claimed it needed to be completed with a quote of $130, but it only cost $30. Transmission Fluid Service - Big O' Tires claimed my transmission fluid failed a test, and quoted me $200 for this service. Transmission fluid was tested, and it did not fail. Coolant System Fluid Service - Big O' Tires claimed I needed to flush my coolant system fluids because it was not cooling my engine properly and claimed that the fluids failed a test. My coolant system fluids were just recently flushed when the water pump and timing was changed. Test came back that my coolant system was performing perfectly fine. Saved myself another $160. Fluid System Tune Up - Big O' Tires claimed that my GDI Fuel System needed a complete tune up, and quoted me $150. Another mechanic confirmed that was not needed on my vehicle. Brakes and rotors - Big O' Tires claimed that my both my front and rear brake pads and rotors needed to be changed, quoting me $582 for just the front brakes and $652 for the rear breaks. Another mechanic changed the brake pads and ONE rotor that was needing the be changed for under $350 total. Struts and shocks - Big O' Tires claimed that my struts and shocks were not safe and needed to be changed very soon. They did not include this on my quote. However, the mechanic who looked at my vehicle said my struts and shocks were in great condition. Battery Service - Big O' Tires informed me that my battery had a little bit of corrosion near the terminal, and quotes me $20. It was cleaned for $6. TPMS Sensor - Big O' Tires quoted me for the TPMS sensor at $360 - but the replacement parts was only $33. They overcharged me for the oil change when I informed them I had a coupon for $49.99 and gave them the coupon, they still charged me $79. Do not waste your time or your money at this place because they will literally steal your money. Corporate will be contacted and so will the BBB. read more

avoid. took my vehicle in for a simple tire rotation, because this shop is near my home. set an appointment for 930am on a Monday and was told it would take 60-90 minutes. dropped car off on time and ran some errands with the wifey, only to come back at 1230pm to find it still not done. the strangest part was the absolutely unaffected front staff that offered no explanation or even concern for a 90+ minute overtime for a scheduled tire rotation! Poor Customer Experience! Big O Tire in Gilbert on Lindsay Rd. I have been using this location for at least four or five years now and never had been treated the way I was during my most recent visit in May 2025. The afternoon before the service visit I got a low pressure alert on one of my tires. I called my local Big O store that I frequent, they asked for the tire size (which I provided from the car door frame label). The service attendant on duty booked my appointment for the following day at 7am and let me know that they had my tire size in stock and "on sale" if a replacement was needed. I arrived promptly at 7am and they took my vehicle in for the service visit. I was the first person in for the day and still it took one hour and forty five minutes for the service attendant to come to the waiting lobby to let me know they were patching my tire and that my car required an alignment (not surprising). He also proceeded to tell me that i needed a brake flush, cabin filter, air filter, tire rotation and replacement of at least two of my tires that he described as "chewed up" but are the high end manufacturer tires with only 30k miles on them. I should also mention I had my 30K service visit at the dealershipa and complete service inspection with video only 3 weeks prior. I was not terribly shocked on the up sell but I explained to the tech that I only need my tire checked, repaired, and/or replaced if necessary because I have to go to work. Obviously, the last hour and 45 minutes were not spent repairing the issue I requested and were spent doing an inspection of everything else in the vehicle and not the problem. Fifteen minutes past and when the tech returned he said that the tire could not be patched (as previously reported) and that it had to be replaced. He advised that it would take and additional 1 to 2 hours for the replacement tire to arrive. Which they told me the night before they had in stock and "on sale". At this point I had to leave to go to work and the ride I called picked me up. I advised the tech that I would be back around noon to pick up my car. Another tech called a few minutes later to tell me that he could get me a "legacy" tire (no price was quoted or alternate option provided) and complete the alignment. When I returned at noon the bill was almost 500 for a single tire and and alignment... definitely not the sale price I was quoted the night before. Absolutely aweful customer experience. I paid my bill and do not plan on using Big O for any of my future vehicle needs or ever recommending them again. It may sound like a somewhat petty grievance but inetgrity is everything. I lost half a day of work for a repair that should not taken more then an hour to 90 minutes, was pressured to purchase additional repairs that were actually un-needed at this time. It was not until I mentioned i have a manufacturers service plan that they walked it back with "oh these are only recommedations". I was told the tire that I needed was in stock and on-sale only to be sold a higher end product (at a higher price). Next time i get an air pressure light I am taking my business to my dealership. read more

DO NOT BUY TIRES From Here We bought tires on 3/25/23 and they were down with a wire showing on 4/1/24. The vehicle was driven 5014 miles since the tires were installed. Big O Tires said it was because of alignment. On 3/25/23 when we went to Big O no alignment was recommended. The rep who helps us on 3-25 was fired but Big O was unwilling to help us or replace the tire. We have Big O customers since 2018 and are now going to Discount Tires. The sad thing is the Big O rep didn't seem to care. I'll be surprised if Big O stays in business. read more

Two separate occasions now I have come here for an oil change and had made an appointment before hand. Both times got here at my appointment time but was told it was take around 2 hours to get my car in, despite having an appointment. 2 hours for an oil change is ridiculous considering other places such as Jiffy Lube down the street can complete one in about 20 minutes. I understand if I had a walk in and had to wait to get my car in, but if I have an appointment it should be honored and my car should get in relatively right away. read more

Guys working tried to convince us we needed 3,300$ worth of work done on the car when all we truly need was an oil change and one other part replaced. Tried to change all 4 tires and fill them all with nitrogen, changed the air filter without asking and charged us for it. Tried to replace our spark plugs when they were changed 20,000 miles ago, said we needed a fuel system tune up, brake fluid service... pretty much came up with any problem that could exist and said it was wrong with the car. Also, made a slick comment at me about being a "democrat" for reasons I still don't understand as I was only talking to them about their services? Overall disrespectful and just looking to make money off of you. Go to your dealership next time, or go to discount tires. Good luck out there. read more

Promised a front end alignment done by 9:30am if the car was there first thing in the morning (7:00am). Told them it would be there the night before with the keys in the night drop box. Dropped off the truck the night before and when I went to pick k it up it was where I parked it the night before with nothing done. The 2 morons behind the desk were clueless to even look in the night box and did t even give a crap that it wasn't even started. And to top it off they tried to blame the guys from the night before. Took my keys and went across the street to have it Cobra Tire and Auto where they did an amazing job. They did what they said they would do and on time. Cost a bit more but will never go to Big O again. read more

Got the call for an air filter. Over 50 bucks! The new ploy is "well the filter goes for 12 dollars more at AutoZone". Not having time to check, I agree. Checked just now, the OEM filter is 30 bucks. Called to check price on brakes for my Acura as I had them done at this location just over a year ago and was quoted for brakes and rotors out the door 350 made an appt for the next morning drop my car off and was told I was the next car to get seen and it shouldnt take more than two hours to get my car back. Two hours later I call and they still hadn't even looked at it -another two hours passes and now they are waiting for front brakes and rotors to get delivered even though they never even called me oh and it's going to cost $680 now and all of a sudden they can't see where they did my brakes before. Got a coupon from the franchise owner for a $14.99 oil change to include 4 wheel tire rotation, air pressure check and Bog O Tires preventive maintenance inspection. I was told this would al take an hour after the car was taken back. 11 am appointment car was taken back at 11:36 returned complete 11:54. 18 minutes. Work order was labeled "Dump and Pump" and there was no fluid inspection, no air pressure check and no 4 wheel tire rotation. I've had problems in the past at this location changing the price after the quote and for saying they've checked and filled fluids that they didn't. read more

I had not gone to a Big O Tires in years due to a bad experience in the past and today I decided to give them another chance since my dealership was a week out for an oil change. I arrived and was taken care of by Shane at the front desk. I wanted the monsoon special, but it seemed like he was on a mission to sell the me manager's special so I said yes just to get him off my back. They did add the wiper blades at a "discounted" rate. At the end, I ended up paying $160 for the services which seemed a little bit excessive. When I picked up my vehicle, Shane was overwhelmed with phone calls and I was not able to ask him any questions about the service. He just said, "pay this amount." I was only able to ask him a couple of questions about the wipers. After I went to my vehicle, I saw there was a piece of my console plastic on the floor. It was not put back where it was. I had to go back in the shop and tell them. Also, the air in my tired was not checked and my tired were not rotated. It was a nice guy named Seth who took care of me at the end and he fixed the air situation. I will never ever return to this location again. There is a lot of improvement needed in this location. read more
