I have used Big O in the past. While doing a brake job on my vehicle they managed to lose one of the hubcaps. They couldn't find it so I left without it. Came back two more times hoping to get a replacement but they were not interested in replacing it. My car needed a new radiator as the old one was leaking badly. Also needed air conditioner fixed and a new set of tires. I wanted to give them another chance. Derek told me to come right in and they could get to my car fairly quickly; they were finishing up a couple cars. I own a business in Maricopa City. I closed up hoping I wouldn't miss too many customers. I was told by Derek it was a 2.5 hour job. Got to Big O, parked the car, walked to Frys in 114 degree heat to get something to eat and read some magazines. 3 hours went by. When I walked back to the tire store my car was still sitting in the same place I had parked it. Derek told me they had gotten busy. I sat down in the waiting room and asked a much younger lady how long she had been waiting and she said about 30 minutes. Derek said they would be getting to mine shortly. And now I am supposed to wait ANOTHER 3 hours??!! Really? If I gave that kind of crappy service I would be out of business. I got my keys and drove back to my business, without the new radiator. Never will I go in that store again. I suggest you stay away as well, unless you are an attractive young lady. Then you will be served quickly. read more

I usually like the service that Big O provides but after trying to get oil changes the last couple of times, i am very disappointed. I took off a day from work to get an oil change done today. I dropped off my vehicle around 08:45am and I was told that it would take about an hour and a half to two hours because they were a little busy. The salesperson told me that it should be done by 10:30 am. Not wanting to wait there for that much time, I left and walked back home. As I returned to pick up my vehicle at noon, i see that my vehicle is still parked in the same spot. I asked if my vehicle was ready and two salespersons began scrambling to see the status of my vehicle. One of the salesperson finally said that my vehicle was not ready but they can get my vehicle in at this time. I asked how can my service be not completed when I was told that it would be done by 10:30 and it was a noon. I understand that they were busy but to lie to me saying that a service is going to take a certain amount of time and come to find out that it was going to take double the original estimate, that is an insult to the customer. And to tell me that they could get me in when I was asking about my car is insulting. So if don't go and just wait for them to call me, who knows how long it would have taken. read more

This is only a two star, because of the front staff, who were pretty friendly! Otherwise. ... do not go here to get your car worked on! We came in for a oil change and have an overview of the vehicle done. Needed a couple tires, and then a list of other things completed, $1400.00 worth to be exact. Being conscientious car owners had it all done, then noticed why the bill was so high, labour was per part, not per job. For example the radiator hoses needed to be replaced, the Labour was for each hose, rad flush was then charged, and then on top rad refill charged, along with all fluid charged as well. Really my fault for not watching every detail and questioning every part of it! The car also had some sticky substance all over it, does not wash off easy! So took a big gulp, and thought well at least it's all done right?! Not quite, the work they did now has leaks, rad is leaving puddles and I'm trying to limp the car back there tomorrow. Only two days later. Checked with friends and neighbors in town, and every last one had a similar situation, in dealing with these guys. Don't go here, a backyard guy would do a better job and probably charge you less. read more

I took my car to thes guys to have my tires rotated and balanced on my car. While I was being written up by a service writer a lady next to me was speaking to another service writer. She was very unhappy with the results of the alignment work done on her truck. I decided to give this place a chance . I left my car and waited to be called when the work was completed. An hour or so later I was told over the phone that my two front tires needed to be replaced most likely due to my alignment being out of spec. After being told the quote amount I decided to come pick the car up. After doing some price comparisons I found their price to be reasonable. I called them and they said bring the car back and they would get started right away. I decided to go ahead and have them replace the front tires and do an alignment and rebalance the rears. He said it would take two hours. After two and a half hours and no phone call I called to see how things were going. They had not even started on my car yet. I was told I was next in line and they would get going on my car very soon and it would be done within a couple of hours and they would call me. Two and a half hours later and no call. It was almost 6:30. Knowing they close at 7:00 I had my wife give me a ride there to see how things were going. My car was parked where I had left it. Nothing had been done. I went inside and said I was here to pick up my car curious as to what would be said. Nobody seemed to have an answer. I told them my car hasn't been touched in the 5 or so hours it had been sitting there. He went on and on about how busy they are and they have one hundred or so cars a day pass through. He also brought up that one of his tire techs was out due to a family member being in an accident. Totally different story from what I was told on the phone. I got my keys and left. I will take my car someplace else. Thanks for the wasted time and lies. I have heard bad things about this place from a few neighboors. Bottom line on this place in my opinion: Stay away. We went in needing a flat tire repair. Not only did they fix our flat (at no charge!), they changed it for us and screwed our spare back in the trunk. As a bonus, we got free donuts, fruit, water, coffee, popcorn, and TV in the back waiting room. Thank you for the excellent service!! read more

I went to the shop today because my vehicle was previously serviced there in May. I advise the sale rep that I have a leak in my front right tire however the vehicle reads the left tire. Therefore your service guys messed up my sensors when putting the tires on in May. I was one of the first customers to arrive at 7am. You can't make appointments it's first come first serve. I watched my vehicle sit in the lot as they assisted new customers arriving after me people are coming and going left and right as I just sit here and my vehicle not being looked at. I then ask the sales rep how long will it take before they look at my vehicle and his response was shortly it's now almost two hours. Finally the guy comes back and tells me that the tire has a nail in it and it's not repairable. These are brand new tires just purchased from this same sale rep in May. I inquired about the road hazardous warranty with the tire and he claims it was not purchased, funny though because I know I Advised him to add the warranty on the tires. Another funny thing was I check the tire to see if there any damage I was not able to see anything. Now I'm big told it was a nail on the side of the tire. Smh...I don't believe it at all. Strange enough I'm still waiting on a simple repair while others continue to come and go. Just because you don't have many choices living in maricopa does not mean customer service and the quality of service should be compromised. I'm feeling taken advantage of right now. read more

I usually take my car to the dealership, but I went here out of convenience and lack of time, was there at 8:00. They said it would take an hour, but it took two hrs. That night the light sensor for my tires came on that all 4 tires were under inflated. They were closed already so couldn't do anything. This morning when I went to my garage there was an oil leak!!!!! I panicked and extremely angry I called them (and my auto dealer) and let them know what was going on. Big O tires said bring it in we'll take care of it immediately. Well they also sent someone to clean my garage! If you have a luxury vehicle or new vehicle do NOT bring it here!!! They seem to be courteous and attentive, but a water bottle or a smile won't guarantee my vehicle is safe and my engine won't have issues or oil leaks in my garage or maybe even a flat tire in the middle of the highway!!! They better pray that nothing is wrong with my car or they will not enjoy conversations with my attorney is court! Needless to say, they will NEVER get any of my business again! I have lived in Maricopa for 11 years, and always had great service at Big O Tires...that is, until this past Saturday (4/22/2017). I went in for an oil change as usual. Told the new manager or new person who waited on me, that i did not want to be upsold any tires or anything, i just want an oil change. He responded that I don't make commission. I know better so i smiled. I also asked him to check my tires and the check engine light. After about 1 minute of typing, he says, the diagnostics will be $109. That's strange i said.. Everytime i bring the car in, you guys check all the tires and fluids and call me with a laundry list of things i need to change. I am not paying $109 so forget the diagnostics. I can get the check engine light read anywhere for free. He then proceeds to print out my service sheet.. I looked at it, and it was $50. I asked about the coupon and he said, i already took it off..$10. I pointed to the $24.99 oil change and he said, oh, your car takes the $49.99 oil change! Now, for the 10 + years, i have been going there, with my lexus and now the Jetta, I have ALWAYS gotten the $24.99 oil change. All of this is in my records in their database, so why today, the cost is $50!!! I get it, this is all cause i prefaced my visit with 'I don't want you to upsell me anything', so now he is being an ass. Oh well, i am not getting an oil change today as I am not paying $50! I checked in early at 7:20 a.m. to get my tires balanced and TPMS sensors installed, I was the second person in line to get service done and as I sat down more people came in to get their vehicles work done I while I was waiting for my wife to pick me up I noticed that the people that came in after me their vehicles were already getting sent to the Bay area's to be worked on in which I didn't think nothing of it but did notice. I was told by the mechanic who took my order that I could be back by 10 a.m. and my truck would be finished and ready to go. I came back at 10:30 little to find out my truck wasn't even touched and to my dismay they did not want to help me even though I asked them what was going on and why my truck was not even worked on. I felt discriminated big time here and I am handicapped at the moment due to a torn hamstring and I did let them know of my condition and that I didn't have time to come for it not to be finished. I spoke with the manager and he was very rude and told me if I wanted to get it done faster that I should do it myself, his name was Derek and I visited this shop in the past when Steve was the manager and back then when Steve was the manager that place was awesome fast and did the job right the first time, it seems now that this Derek character is the boss it's obvious things aren't being run right, I am going to take my business across the street to Firestone and will never come back to this place call Big O Tire, so if you're smart and you need any work done take it to Firestone they're awesome courteous and will do everything to help you read more

I've had numerous alignments done here and never got it right on my truck. My buddy had his alignment done and was also left with a truck that wandered all over the road. If you need an alignment professionally done, go somewhere other than this Big O. read more

Tire Mounting and balance. The website states, "Is it time to swap out your tires? Bring them with you, or buy them from us--it's ok either way!" This is very true but if you have powder-coated wheels be prepared for damage (deep scratches) to the rims. Understandably, they aren't a high end car dealer (BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, etc.) so you get what you pay for. read more

I'll give this Big O 2 stars because it seems the work they have performed was done right; But I'll keep the rest for wasting my time that they spent "checking fluid levels", filters, etc trying to find something else wrong. I only went in for a slow tire leak, there was no reason to lift the hood and start poking around trying to find something else. 2 1/2 hours to patch a tire first thing Monday morning is too long! Every time I come here they try to BS me into some kind of up-sell, and they this do this to everyone. Their wait-times could be much shorter if they'd just quit trying to make up more work with each customer. This is a very poor practice in a small town, especially one that has better shops in it like Fletchers. Big O may soon work themselves out of business if they keep up their deceptive practices. Just because they say something needs replaced or flushed doesn't mean you won't get another 30,000 miles or more without it. If you must go here, have them fix only what you KNOW needs fixed, then get a second opinion on their "recommendations". Big O must think everyone who comes in has $1000 or more in their pockets just waiting for them to come up with an excuse to spend it there. read more

Initially I had a bad experience at this tire shop as they sold my wife the wrong tires and they rubbed on the rims of our vehicle. The manager at the time was not willing to take any responsibility. Brian, the new manager this year, has been totally the opposite. He took full responsibility for the problem and solved my problem going above and beyond my expectations. He has completely turned this shop around and the service, even down to the phone manners, is now excellent. If you had problems with this or any tire shop in the past, I strongly urge you to give Brian and his revamped crew a chance to win back your trust. read more

I went in this morning for an AC Check they said i needed a evac + recharge total cost 154.65 and that it would take about half an hr. I literally sat there watching my car from the window because it was parked right in front of the shop. 30 mins passed and not one tech approached my vehicle. Then i hear them call my name saying your vehicle is good to go we're all done. The confused look on my face was priceless. How could they performed all this work on my car if no one even touched it. Never trust them they are a bunch of thief's. They do not perform the maintenance they charge you for! I am so disappointed! read more

Dropped my car off for an oil change over 2 hrs and 45 minutes ago ahead of a big rush of customers. They told me it would be ready in 1.5 hrs. After 2 hours went by I decided to phone and check on status of my vehicle. I was put on hold for over 5 minutes. I decided to hang up and call again. Once again I was put on hold while they checked on car for another 5 minutes. Finally someone picked up and told me they still had not pulled my vehicle into garage! Since I dropped off the vehicle and didn't stay in the waiting room putting pressure on employees, I wasn't a priority. I went back and got my keys to the vehicle and left. Great place for oil changed and tires. Our recent visit was not as epic. We had a hose and sensor replaced. Later, took it to "car shop #2" for more repairs and a second opinion. They informed us that the sensor recently installed was faulty. They tested it with a spare part and showed us this. We took the car back to Big O to tell them to correct this since it was 2 days later. Two days even more later, the car was ready from Big O. We take it back to car shop #2 and they said the same sensor was still faulty (again) and wasn't replaced. If you want a positive comment, here are a few. Bless the hearts for the guys working in the lobby for having patience for the customers who didn't have patience. The car we took in was our spare car and we had patience and we were kind. They are a busy place and the only repair place open on Sunday. I appreciate hard work if it is quality work. They do great with oil changes and tires. Anything behind that - spend your money somewhere else. read more

DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS HERE, they have had 11 complaints filed against them on the BBB in the Maricopa store alone. They stripped my oil pan to the tune of $1500 and refused to take any responsibility. They also put products in my car and charged me for it with notifying me first. They put my oil filter on so tight it took three men from Jiffy Lube to get it off. Also tried selling me all kinds of services I didn't need and or just replaced. Filed in small claims and they wouldn't even accept service. These guys are real cons! read more

Very disappointed with the service, oil spots all over my console, arm rest and steering wheel and they didn't even acknowledged that .

They said I needed my spark plugs changed. So I paid to have it done I think it cost about $200. then two weeks later my car started to miss fire so I took it to the dealer. they said that it needed spark plugs I said that I just had them done. the dealer told me that who ever said they did it, did not change them. so I had them change the plugs, and when I got the car back the problem was fixed. I think this big o has so much business that they end up doing a bad job. they did make it right and gave us a credit. also they have been very friendly every time I go in there. but saying that you changed the plugs an not doing it is what everyone fears from a service station I have little trust in them now. read more

Looked online to see the price, got a quote and then went in. When I went in the gave me a different quote $200 dollars more then what was quoted online. And also online says that the warranty is $24 per tire but at the store it's $28. I had to tell them I got a quote online for cheaper so they gave me the quote online. And also I had a spare on and I asked if they can put the spare away and put one of the new tires that I was getting on the original and told them the original was in my trunk. But when everything was done my tire in the trunk was still flat and that they have put the new tire on my spare. And also charged me for something that they didn't even do because my car didn't come with that option. I don't recommend anybody going to big o tires. It's not just the Location I went but also in 2 other locations. So basically if you don't know about cars you are going to get ripped off at Big o tires read more

Tried to rip me off with a $300 alignment! Just replaced all struts on my car (did that work myself) and needed to get the alignment done. Took it down to Big O, was my first time there. Quoted me $70 for the alignment, a reasonable price, and told me it would take about 1.5 hours. I settled down to wait. About 15 mins later, they came back and said I needed a "camber kit" on each of the front wheels and an alignment shim on one of the rear wheels. For the uneducated, the "camber kit" is an adjustable bolt... just a bolt. They wanted to charge me $80 each for them. They wanted $60 for the shim (a small piece of rubber or metal). I told them to return my keys. When I got home I looked up the prices on those parts... the most expensive camber bolts I could find for my car were $12 each and the shim was 80 cents. I called back to ask for an explanation for the $68 markup on a bolt, and was told the additional cost was for "labor/installation". Installing that bolt would take roughly 45 seconds. At that price, their labor rate would need to be $4000+ per hour. This is one of those shops that PREYS ON PEOPLE WHO DON'T KNOW BETTER. Fortunately, I know enough about my vehicle to see they were trying to scam me. Avoid this place at all costs! They will never get a dime of my business! read more

I have been living in Maricopa for a little over a year and a half now. When we first moved in, I looked for a place to get my routine oil changes. I tried Napa, but that was not as convenient. Got a coupon for Big-O. I started going there with my 3 cars, a Neon SRT-4, a Dodge Durango with 245K miles on it, and a Ford Pickup. We have purchased all our tires from Big-O since we moved there and their prices have been competitive and the service exemplary. The front desk folks are always pleasant and bend over backwards to get you what you need. I even trusted them to do other repair work beyond the routine oil change (new shocks, struts, ball joints, and other mechanical repairs) and they have always been right on with their estimates and the timing of the completion of the repair. I was afraid we would not be able to replace our old mechanic of 20+ years who always was fair and honest. I see the same thing here in this facility and I will continue to use them. read more

The Big O Tires in Maricopa, AZ is the workplace of some of the nastiest people I've ever had the misfortune of meeting. They are extremely rude and have no reservations about taking money from people despite clearly not having the skill to fix a car. I went to get my alignment fixed and paid plenty of money for it but my car was returned to me in even worse condition than before. They ruined my car and charged me for it. Apparently it wasn't enough just to rob me- they had to rub it in by making me talk to an incredibly insulting black guy with an attitude problem and some little white kid who runs around in the store pretending to be a mechanic. Honestly, it wouldn't have been so bad if they admitted the mistake and fixed it, but instead they wanted to blame the ruination of the vehicle on me just to get me out the door. After I kept insisting that they look at my car again and explain to me why they charged me money to mess up my car, those kids finally buckled and brought me a chart showing how much worse my alignment had gotten since I brought it in. I did not receive an apology and I received no discount. It's like they just played some weird, creepy practical joke on me. They are horrible people and borderline criminals. But hey, you gotta make it someway in this world. read more
