Had my tires rotated last week and either the bolts were not tightened down or they forgot to put them back in and someone also scratched my wheels. To replace my bolts, the employees searched on display models and went through a customer's order and was going to take bolts from that order and put on my wheels. Offered to have someone buff out scratches but I have to come back another day. Very unprofessional. read more

It would seem communication is a bit of an issue with this location. I dropped my car off on a Friday around 2:15PM to get the DRLs fixed and new bulbs put in as they were not coming on. They never called me to tell me they needed to keep my vehicle overnight, so I found out the hard way. The next morning when I called up there, I was told my fuse box was messed up and they had to contact a dealer to find out when it could get replaced. So I went to pick my car up around 10:30AM (as they said that could take weeks) and as I was picking it up, I was told the DRLs came back on as they were putting the battery back. One of the mechanics took me out to my car, and mistook my high/low beams as DRLs but claimed the "DRLs" were working when they clearly weren't. After explaining which ones the DRLs were, I found out they did not put in the new bulbs I requested after saying they had done so. Once I explained this, the mechanic took my vehicle in again and said it would take about an hour to figure out. Flash forward to around 1PM I get a call saying the bulbs were replaced and the DRLs were working. I get to the dealership and pick up my keys, and lo and behold, the DRLs are still not working. I went back in to the counter to let them know they weren't coming on. The lady at the counter went to talk to the mechanic, then came back to the counter and said, " your fuse box is bad and they still have to reach out to the dealership to see if they have parts." I said, "oh my bad, I was told on the phone differently" then walked out. I'm just going to pay extra to take it to the dealership. Should be noted that I was not charged any money for this, thank God. Update: changing my review to 4 stars. Tom took care of everything. Apparently the miscommunication was the DRLs don't activate when the car is in park, so each time I was shown my car, it was in park. Thus, I assume they still weren't working. Tom figured this out, called me up and got it situated. Along with an explanation of why they didn't want to put in my lights initially that wasn't explained to me prior. I went to this store because the owner is community-minded, so I thought I'd support his business. Unfortunately, this place is just like every other. If the employees are happy, who cares about the customer. I bought eight Micheline tires, a set for my Wrangler, and another for the Buick Enclave. I stressed that I wanted the tires to be as smooth as the tires they were replacing. Oh, they assured me that management checked them and they were great. That is not so! The best Tire Shop in Indiana My car was had two flats on 465 East and was towed to a Big O Tire in Carmel. They didn't allow the warranty plan that i have had since january of this year(2023). Big O Tires - Tires Near Me - Mooresville, Indiana

Took my car to Big-O tires to have 4 tires put on and after we got the car back we noticed that the low tire pressure warning light was lit and that there was no presssure reading from the tire pressure sensors for ANY of the tires on the cars console display. Thing is ALL TPSM's were working before we brought the car in and the car had been inspected by a Toyota dealership, tire pressure being one of the checks. My wife called the store and was given a bunch of excuses for why the TPSM's weren't working and of course the excuses were pointed at us, not the store or any negligence on their part. They offered to replace the sensors for $80 each. That sent up a huge red flag for a scam so I googled "TPMS scam" and sure enough, tire dealers often break TPMS's when changing tires and stick the unwary customer with the bill for replacing them, often using cheaply made parts while charging OEM prices. Not saying that is their practice but the car should have been returned to us in the condition it was in before we got the tires. Seriously, the tires were replaced, you would expect the business replacing the tires to ensure sensors and indications relating to their work to be fault free. We had always gotten tires from this store .............. not anymore. read more

I met The owner of mooresville big O today. He was friendly, jovial and looked like he hadn't a care in the world. Lol . Let me take a stab at explaining my assessment... His business is being ran like a well oiled machine! The management here is spectacular! I have NEVER had the first hint of tension or unpleasantness here..ever! My vehicle is always taken care of in a timely fashion, fair costs, fixed properly..and the few times I had to bring a vehicle back they put me on fast track made it more than right. The price of the tires are very comparable with other tire retailers and the people are friendly. The reason for the low rating is the time it takes for a rotation & balance. They refuse to take appointments, so it's a gamble every time I have been here. I have never been out of there in less than 2 hours and usually averages 3+ hours, no matter what time of day or day of week I have tried. Plus, they are not affiliated with any other Big O, so you can only get your tires done at this 1 location each time you get a rotation & balance. I have stopped in twice in the last three months because I have a knack for finding nails to run over. In both cases, service was given in less time than than the initial estimate was projected (the business was very busy on both occassions.) Even though I am still driving on the original (dealer) tires, my tires were filled and repaired for NO CHARGE! Talk about paying it forward to the customers! I was on my way to Indianpolis for an important meeting yesterday when the low pressure warning light came on in my car. I looked up the nearest tire store and found Big O Tires. I stopped in the office and the manager greeted me and said that someone would check my tires right away. Within a few minutes, all of my tires were properly inflated and the technician made sure that what he had done removed the warning light. I was then on my way to Indianapolis with peace of mind. The service person immediately knew what the problem was without even taking the wheels off (the rims on her car were notorious for this problem). My Volvo was towed here by a AAA tow mechanic after breaking down on I-70 on our way from CT to OK. After staying overnight in a hotel, my mom and I came by first thing in the morning, and we were assisted by two different employees, who were both kind and helpful. Tom kept us updated while the problem was being diagnosed, and he made sure to order the part even if we changed our minds since it was going to take a day to come in. After deciding to go ahead and get the car fixed there, Tom directed us to a nice area of Plainfield, IN where we had more choices of where to stay, restaurants, and shopping to help kill time while we were waiting a day for my car to be fixed. He also arranged for the Big O Tire courtesy van and driver Craig (also nice and helpful!) to drive us 20 minutes to Plainfiled and our new hotel. The next day, Craig picked us up from our hotel in the afternoon, my car was ready, and we were on the road again. Follow-up: The initial service may have had its issues but the follow-up from the owner himself was awesome. Within minutes after he found out I had issues he contacted me directly. He listened to my experience and the concerns I had. He was right on top of addressing those concerns. He had them all addressed within the next hour. He even contacted Tire Barn to see what their price was and addressed the issue I had about over paying. Big O came through on their guarantee. They matched the price and made everything right. Awesome service! Big O has won this customer back!! Original: I used to really trust Big O, but this was not a normal experience I had with them. My brother-in-law who works directly with this store is always talking about how great it was so I grabbed a coupon and tried my luck. Seems this just wasn't my day. 1st the coupon I grabbed was actually tire barn so big bummer there. With my past history I decided to have them match the price because after all they guarantee the lowest price in town. Big Lie and my mistake for giving in but for 7:30 am on Saturday sometimes you just don't want to argue!!!!!! Big O couldn't even come close to matching the price so I paid almost an extra $100 for tires. Ridiculous!! But I paid my stupid tax. Where is what I heard: * The similar tire to what Tire Barn had they don't keep in stock. It is the economy version with only 40,000 mile on it. They would have to order it. Well when I called the day before it wasn't a problem to get them. If I didn't want or in this case need them I would not have came in for them on this day. Not everyone can just take days off whenever they want. * Even with the similar tire they couldn't match Tire Barn's price. So much for that guarantee. Overall the service was about normal (2 hours) because even though I got there at 7:31 am 2 people were in front of me for tires. I guess those 2 people being 1 minute faster must have been waiting outside for them to open for hours. Rest of the issues I had were just customer comforts that should have been there but weren't. I should have just dropped off instead of waiting. No more big O only Tire Barn from now on. I also need to update my family and friends who do business with them to ensure they get the best price available. read more

Try to intimidate you and won't surrender the keys when you ask for them back. Not happy to be held hostage now while I wait in limbo confined to the sticky chairs and seats. read more

Love these guys!! I've brought all my cars (I had three at a time for about 15 years) for repairs, tires and oil changes. I'm a single mother and was always treated with respect. I was never taken advantage of and if things were not right the first time, it was always made right. (Even the absolutely best mechanic won't get everything right the first time because it is hard to pinpoint problems.) They never tried to over sell or pressure me when I couldn't afford to get things fixed that were not an immediate danger to my family. They worked with me to get my money's worth out of a used car extra warranty and that isn't easy because most people think they are a waste of money. They are a very, very busy location but the wait is worth the excellent and honest service. I am a customer service snob (by training and profession) and I wouldn't go anywhere else!!!!!!! Shane has been there for 16 years and has a great team of service technicians and mechanics. I have been to other Big O facilities that are OK, but need to take lessons from this store. I would absolutely go there again. They were able to get me heat and AC in my 87 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 with 500,000 miles for a very reasonable price. They also warranty their work. Great place. This is the place to go, took my car here because it was recommended to me. Normally, I would not go 45 minutes away to find a repair shop for my car but these guys came highly recommended so I gave them a try. Upon arrival, I was greeted with friendly faces and got to deal with Tom Duh, an employee who knows cars like the back of his hand. After an evaluation of my car, he gave me a comprehensive breakdown of my vehicles health and what all needed to be fixed. Tom was able to track down the necessary part, picked it up, installed it, and got me back into my car; all in the same day (throttle body for anyone that is curious). I then decided to return to them for the rest of the repair work which took about two to three hours but it was well worth the wait. My car now handles like a dream because of these people and the skilled technicians at this location. Got to talk to the location owner as well and he is a very very nice man. In the end, I now have a place to go for consistently good service and I will gladly make the 45 minute drive again whenever I have any more issues with my vehicles. This place IS the real deal. If you have any sort of issues with your car then please, do yourself a favor and take it to these guys because they are absolute pros. The tires came in and I asked the sales rep. how long it would take for the tires to be installed and that I'd be coming before work. He told me to allow 1 1/2 hours. We set up a time...I showed up and checked in. After waiting an hour and 15 minutes the truck wasn't in the bay, know one came out to the truck where they knew I was waiting and said a word. Already pressed for time, I had to leave. I didn't hear from them at all until my wife called THEM the next day to inquire about what happened?
