First, we made an appointment at 9:00 AM on Monday to take our car in and it was 1 o'clock and they had not even looked at it yet so they had to keep it overnight and the next day this happened... it was brought in to do some work regarding an oil leak that a previous Big O tires in Cave Creek was working on and they were supposed to work with the Cave Creek big O Tires to finish the job and all of it was supposed to be comped, well, they wouldn't work with the Cave Creek big O Tires they had my car the entire day!!! Again and then decided that they would not work on my car because they wouldn't work with the big O Tires to help remedy the the problem! So backing up I called at 7 AM and left a message to make sure they were gonna work on it yesterday and they never called me back and at 9:30 AM, I called them and I got a recording again to see where they were with my car, they never called me back and then finally my husband got a hold of them at 3 o'clock and that's when we learned they wouldn't help us after having my car the entire two days. So they said come at 3:30 to pick the car up. This is yesterday the 16th. And when I got there at 3:30, after Ubering down there and I had an appointment that I needed to be to at 4, after five minutes I said is my car available and they said it'll just be a few more minutes after five more minutes I walked into the garage. My car was still nowhere near ready to be driven away because it had to cool off and they still had to work on some coolant issue and I said to the guy, so is it gonna be five minutes or is it gonna be 40 minutes and that guy working on the car said let's plan for 40 Needless to me say I was extremely aggravated. I had to call my girlfriend to come pick me up and they still have my car today and it's being towed to the big O Tires in Cave Creek where the initial work was done. I would never step foot in a big O Tires ever again !!!!' But we are at the mercy right now to finish this job. They all are awful been going to them for 20 years and it's always been a horrible experience no matter which one we've gone to. !!!!!! and you ask me why have we continued to go to them because we always thought a new Big O Tires might be a better experience but they're all the same horrific read more

If I could give less than a 1 star I would. After a routine oil change I went to run errands the next day. Not knowing my car had leaked oil all over the pavers in my driveway I ran out to run errands. At my next stop my car was in a lake of oil as the pavers had not allowed for pooling. I ended up having to be towed as my car had zero oil left. Major the manager lied about refunding my money for the botched oil change and promised to come to clean the pavers. It took over two weeks of calls and going back to get my refund and he still has not followed through with his promises. I would stay away from this place. Ran in for an oil change and was done as expected. Asked them to run through a fuse test for some other troubleshooting issues I was experiencing. Had them rotate the tires with the oil change and drove west on 202 and realized they forgot to put the inside fuse box plate back on and hit the brakes and the whole front end started shaking! OMG! Came out worst then prior to brining it in. Called the shop and Yamile Garcia Gonzalez who did inspection of fixes said "oh. I put it inside the engine and to look there! Idiots! Was lucky to go to Hyundai 11 miles away and didn't loose it on the freeway, but what an F---ing idiot. Not recommending this location. Use the cave creek location for another care and they are clearly more competent that this location. Got 8mm still left on brake pads and they recommended replacing them with rotors for $1200 busks! Nope! Hence now at dealership. Lastly note in picture the battery which I bought at Auto Zone yesterday and put in with them the leads are exposed and the I side cars fuse plate sitting on it! Warning warning warning . July 5th they charged me $1,912.65 to replace my air conditioning in my truck . I needed to do that because my serpentine belt they just replaced on my way home broke again and according to them my ac locked up . Breaking the belt again and breaking other components too. Heard where it gets good . They replaced everything told good to go . But it's not working correct . I stop at my usual mechanics he points out a part they put on backwards . I take the truck back . They fix it . Didn't stop there 3 more times I have to go back . I pick it up Sunday they say you're good to go. Half way home 2 miles away and the cold goes to hot . That's how they fix it for the forth time . I call them up when I get home told the manager will call me in the morning . No call comes in I call them at close to one today . I'd highly recommend anyone with a truck visit this location. I have an f350 long bed and I dropped this truck off for an alignment while I had to complete another job .. I arranged my brother's girlfriend to pick up the keys so I could get the truck after hours. Fast forward to almost closing time I get a call for payment, I give them the payment and end the call letting them know who will be coming for the keys. Shortly after I get a call saying they're not able to get my truck on their machine and they made my brother's girlfriend park the truck. I was told the following day the manager would call me, and it is now several days after and I have not received said call or my refund. My back right tire has been giving me constant guff for more than 16 hours. I'm not like brimming with money, so my worry was the price. I showed up at 7:05 AM, a frantic mess, wringing my hands, fretting over my various unquestionably low checking account balances. Right away an employee asked how he could help. I told him about that back right tire giving me constant guff for more than 16 and a half hours, he took a look, told me they could schedule me for as soon as their technician (not sure of the title, Tire Engineer?) arrived (8:00 am). Anyways, long story short, my tires were so worn down that I must've appeared to be oblivious and ignorant, which I was. They could've made me feel so dumb when showing me how bad my tires were, but no, they showed me and helped me find a financial solution that works for me to replace the tires. My tires were replaced and a few days later they called to make sure everything was perfect with the tires. I also got a 3 year warranty. All in all, good place, people, location and service. Anyone with a low review of this place probably went in to fix a flat, and much like me, were shown that there's much more that should be done to the car if they want to drive safely and without getting a flat. People just don't like expecting to pay for fixing a flat and then finding out they should probably do more than that if they want this resolved. And then I imagine their chagrin morphs into a poor review, which is a shame. Whatever, ignore the low reviews, this place is great. 1 Oh yeah, for financing tires you need a physical bank, Chime or other online banking will not qualify. read more

I'm a former mechanic. Stay away--these are untrustworthy mechanics. They didn't replace the cabin air filter like they said they did. Their "comprehensive visual inspection" did not report material issues such as low brake fluid, low inverter fluid, or busted suspension boot ends, among others. The manager was dismissive of these concerns and made excuses. Mechanics should inform the owner about medium-level maintenance issues, such as low fluids and busted suspension boots, at least. What's the purpose of bringing it to the mechanic if they don't report anything? read more

I took my truck 2019 Atlas Volkswagen with 87K in perfect running condition, into the Big O tires 5119 Thomas Rd Phx AZ 85018 7/12/24 for an oil change and breaks/ rotors. I also requested for them to let me know if anything else was needed, because I was taking a trip to California the next day. I've never had one mechanical issue with my vehicle and always completed my oil changes on time. I advised them to also top off my fluids which they didn't do. On 7/13 appx around 1:30- 2 pm, while driving on the highway, my car started to make a loud noise. Some lights flashed EPC and the Check engine light came on. I pulled over popped the hood and it sounded like an 18tn wheeler engine. The truck shut off on me, and reduced speed. I was in the middle of nowhere and was only a few stops up from the Yuma airport, so that was the safest place for me to go with four children under the age of four in the car. I had my car towed to Volkswagen a couple of days later, and after doing the inspection, it was verified that my motor was completely gone. They also verify that there was no external problems that caused the motor to fail. They also checked the oil and verified it was below the minimum amount. they also did a More throw inspection and found metal shavings in my oil filter and in the engine. I have attempted to reach out to Big on numerous accounts. The the store manager Major, was very polite, & communicated that they would fix and take care of whatever the problem was, but he was requesting me to have the vehicle towed to them, which I did not feel comfortable because of my vehicle had already been destroyed. He got his store owner involved Desiree and she was very nasty and rude. She's of course trying to deny all Liability. It's been a few weeks now and still no follow up on if they will take liability for my motor being gone. The So-called store owner Desiree is very unprofessional. She even text my phone and I asked her to please email me. I also had to pay for a rental from Yuma to Phoenix, which cost me over $600 and an additional rental in order to get back-and-forth to work and to take my kids to school and their appointments. I'm out of a lot of money for something that had nothing to do with Me. My repairs are over $11,000... Desiree, the store owner is not responding and giving me the runarounds They were the last ones to touch my vehicle and they also have other reviews on their website with the same story similar to mines. read more

I have a few classic cars and needed to have my tires replaced. I brought the rims from the car separate to have the rims replaced. Everything went smoothly till after I paid and hand my wife pick up the rims. The worker dropped my rim causing damage to the rim. It was late in the day and was told to call a number or come back in the morning. So came back in the morning and at first everything was fine. The wheels are aftermarket and don't have a polished lip on them. So it. Cannot be repainted or an easy repair. Now my rims aren't anything special. They cost less than 300~ a rim. As soon as the manager "major" saw that they were a polished lip he said"yeah we dropped it but it's not enough to replace it" meaning... we caused an non fixable amount of damage but sucks, sorry. He sent me a half ass email with the subject line of "communication" so shocking it was sent to my junk mail. Overall such a crappy outcome. I chose big of for their name and other stores living up to that. This one killed that expectations for all of them. A simple off the shelf rim that would have cost them 300$ has lost me as a customer and anyone else I can ever talk to. I found their $49.95 Synthetic oil change special that included a tire rotation and inspection online and also confirmed that it currently being offered by visiting their company website www.bigotires.com. I checked my car in and shame on me for not verifying the costs up front ! I was politely told that the oil change inspection and rotation would take 60-90 minutes. 30 minutes later I was told that my vehicle had a plastic drain plug and suggested that I spend the $13.99 to replace it ($4.63 over the counter at Audi). Upon completion I was presented a bill for $104.05 and no tire rotation as they said my front tires were worn (3/32nds tread remaining). Being that it was a FWD and the rear tires are at 75% plus remaining tread and a rotation would have made me feel like service and safety were truly a top priority. Instead they offered a $1800 estimate for a set of 4 michelin tires installed. Long story short I should have waited to schedule the $89.95 oil change special at audi and work with real professionals intead of this bush league company. I did give an extra star for the cold bottled water that the manager was so proud of LOL. read more

Came in to get all 4 brakes and brakes pads replaced. On my way home from the shop I went through an intersection and heard metal loosening and banging around my front tire and then heard a clang and then started hearing grinding. Pulled over to look around and one of the caliber mounting bolts was barely on and the other bolt was not there. Spent an hour and a half looking around the street to find the bolt in the road. Called the shop and they towed the truck back. Then proceeded to act like they were doing us a favor by giving us a 'courtesy' tow back to the shop and the manager acted like it was our fault that now he has all this work he has to cover. Offered us a free oil change and discounts on future work but wouldn't trust them to do anything at all at this point. read more

Let me start off by saying thank you to everyone in retail and customer service. I found a huge nail in the side wall of my tire while coming out of a doctor's appointment so I decided to head straight over to Big O. I was shocked to see how rude people were being to the two men who were there trying to help them fix their cars! I knew that I didn't have an appointment and I figured the wait would be a little longer, which is okay. The phone was ringing nonstop and there were 6 people waiting. One of the employees named Drew looked up and said "thank you all for your patience, we are short staffed and are working as fast as we can. He said if you can't wait we can make an appointment for you to come back at a day and time that fits your schedule." I really appreciated his honesty. When it was my turn he was upfront and said we can't fix this because where it's at and we don't have those tires in stock but I can order it and have it here in a few hours. He called a number of other stores and none of them had the tires we needed. So he called the warehouse in Tolleson and asked another employee to go and pick it up. I told him that I could make an appointment and come back the next day so that they didn't have to go out of their way. He said no we would do this for any of our customers and most importantly it's not safe to drive on the freeway with that tire. He really took care of me and fixed my tire for a very reasonable price! The whole time he was assisting me I could hear the people behind me complaining. Look, these poor guys are trying to help us. Can't we show them patience and gratitude? I would like to thank Drew and Zach for being such a pleasure to work with and for staying so positive when dealing with so many ungrateful people.
