Disgusting customer service. I will never spend my money here again. I was lied to, and was told that my car would be done before they closed. I ended up having to spend $100 of my own money to get Lyft to work after not receiving keys. I would have taken my car and returned, or gone to a different shop if they had been more transparent with me about the time it would take. Then, when I showed up the next day after my night shift to pick the car up, I was yelled at by a staff member and gaslit about the situation. In front of customers. Despicable. I calmly told the staff member that was unacceptable and collected my things. I will never bring my business back to this location if thats how a customer is treated. Sunday afternoon and we are leaving out of town and notice our front tire is worn to the metal. I get on the phone and Joey answers right away and gives me several tire options and he can install the same day! We drive right over and Joey is very helpful and they estimate a few hours to complete the job. We sit in the waiting room and it's clean and comfortable. I've been here twice so far for oil changes. First time was pretty quick. There was an issue that time because oil had spilled on my engine and was smoking when i left. I came back and i was able to wait to make sure there wasn't any other issues. I was accommodated with a free oil change, which i appreciated. The other Big O location sold me two front tires. This location just open around the corner. They will only sell 4 tires when you have a 4 wheel drive. If this is some new law let me know. I moved away from CA to get way from this garbage. The thing that was interesting was there are a sign that said Buy 2 tires get 2 free! I rarely need care repairs and I when I do i normally use factory dealerships when I need to but otherwise I don't like to get taken for more than I need to. I liked Big O of scottsdale prior to coming to this new location. I went in for what I thought was improperly rotated tired (thank you DT for ruining my tires). Big O' Tires on Thomas Rd got me in quickly for an oil change and gave me a deal as a first time customer, shaving off a few dollars. I also badly needed two tires that were bald, and I was at risk of having a blowout which is scary considering it's AZ, and the hot summer temps are approaching. I had a friend who knew about cars look at the tires to double check and agreed. Big O' Tires helped assist me in setting up a payment plan which put my mind at ease to get the tires ASAP and avoid a potential blowout - they got me in the very same day. They were very knowledgeable and patient in answering all my questions. It never felt like it was all about sales, just people who want to make sure you have a great experience and have good values where other places may not be as caring and only focusing on collecting money. They truly care about their customers which is refreshing because honestly, you wouldn't receive great quality service like this at a dealership. I highly recommend this location. BEWARE! Stay away from BIG O tires at 51st Street and Thomas road. I needed oil changes on two of my 3 cars. Took them here as I had used them once before last year. However, this visit was not smooth. I made appointments for both cars, one at 7 am and the other at 12 pm. I was preparing to drive to Colorado and my tires were in need of changing. I had planned to go to Discount tires to have this done as I have been a customer there for over 20 years. I decided to go with Big O for the tires due to the convenience to my home. I now regret my choice. Not only did they have my car for the ENTIRE DAY, but they also had my son's car for 5 hours for an oil change (even though we had scheduled appointments). I was willing to overlook this as a fluke. Within a month of having the oil changes, my son's car engine suddenly seizes up...guess what NO OIL in the car! It all leaked out on the driveway. Because my son primarily drives after dark, we were unaware the oil had drained from the car. At NO time did they point out a concern with a large oil leak when I was checking out. They notated a "Large Trans leak" and an oil leak on the paperwork. However, when I called about the seized engine, all of a sudden Sean, the owner said they had told me there was a "massive oil leak"... They did not! I agreed to have them examine the work and of course, they did not find anything obvious. I was there for the initial exam of the car. I find it extremely strange that they were the LAST to service the car and now it was ruined. There is NO evidence of a prior leak in my driveway. All that is there now is the NEW oil they had put in. My mechanic agrees with me. The only reason the engine seized is that there was NO oil left in the car. I will NOT recommend anyone to go to Big O for ANY service, EVER, especially at this location. I will maintain my new tires at another Big O location until it is time to replace them, and I will return to Discount for all my tire needs from now on. NOTE: While the car was old and had plenty of miles on it, it was in good running condition and well cared for. read more

I had to bring two cars here back to back (rough week) and got to know this place really well. They are SO AWESOME. Thorough, honest and communicative. I told them I had a problem and they couldn't get it to replicate in the shop, and they called to tell me that they were going to keep trying. DO NOT take your car here! I have worked with discount tire for many years, and always had a great experience. Today my wife got a screw in the tire of her new, 2022 BMW X7. I figured I would try this new Big O because they were closer to my home. Mistake!! When I dropped off the vehicle I was greeted by a couple of kids who immediately were setting me up to buy an entirely new set of tires. I told them I knew I had a screw that simply needed to be plugged, and that I needed the car completed today so that my wife could take her father to chemotherapy treatment tomorrow. They assured me they would take care of it. It's a weekend and they close at 4 PM. They called me at 3 PM and explained to me that I had excessive 'camber wear' on my tires, and that my brand-new vehicle would require replacing all four tires!! I told them I knew this wasn't true, and that I could appreciate their need to make sales goals by selling tires, but that they were going to put me in a very bad position if they didn't simply plug the tire as they committed and help me on my way. They refused, stating that it would be a safety hazard... on new tires! Clearly total scam artists, I would never recommend going there. Back to discount tire I go... read more

Came by when they first opened because tire light was on. Got air and was on my way. Came back when due for oil change. Everything went well and was told I would need new brake pads on next service. Next oil change was yesterday dropped off my Car and got a call I not only needed new brake pads but all 4 rotors needed to be replaced. I asked about OEM parts and was told that would cost me 3 X as much as dealership. Declined the service and took my car to the dealership for the brake inspection. Only needed new pads and rotors could be turned. If I had needed new rotors the dealership quoted me roughly same price as this place with aftermarket parts. Will continue to take me Highlander to Camelback Toyota. read more

One of the best experiences I have ever had with car services. My 4 year old car died randomly on a road trip and I was calling around but nobody would take me in same day... except these guys! Not only did they take me in same day, they fixed it same day! They took us back to our nearby hotel (with their own company car) while they tested everything (twice!) to figure out the issue, and then called me a couple hours later to make sure I was good with the price and to start working on it. They had it done quickly and we were able to pick it up! We are so thankful we found such nice and genuine people that actually wanted to help when things didn't go as planned. I have purchased tires here previously, and had a good experience. I purchased another set of tires here one week ago and was overwhelmingly disappointed. When I dropped off my vehicle I was never presented an estimate, and was not presented an invoice until after I had already paid. I was curious how 4 tires (priced very reasonably at $86 each) came to over $550 all in, so I reviewed my invoice. What I found was that I was charged $8 per tire for nitrogen (which I had not asked for or was ever told about), as well as $7.50 per tire for sensor rebuild kits that were clearly not installed as the caps and nuts on my sensors were the same ones as when I dropped my vehicle off. I called the store and questioned the service writer about these things and was told someone would call me to rectify the situation. Nobody ever called, and nothing was rectified. Buyer beware. P.S. After a week of being parked outdoors, the tires still smell awful. read more

I came in early morning before work for some air in my tires that I unexpectedly needed. Victor and Zach informed me that my tires were in really bad shape, and I at least needed a couple of them replaced (as my car maintenance has slacked the last few years). Victor told me to come back right after work, that he would fit me into the day, to get them looked at further as it would be very unsafe to continue driving on them. My tires were the original ones from when I bought my car in 2020. When I came back Victor pointed out that all my tires were dry rotting and separating, and that I would need all 4 replaced. This was not something I was prepared for, however, Victor worked with me on financing and getting a payment plan set up, and also said he would get me an oil change taken care of as I was very much overdue. Victor was very kind, and personable, and put me at ease about getting my car taken care of. He offered me lunch, a beverage and told me they would have it all done by the end of the day! This is the second time Big O has gone above and beyond for my family, and I plan on continuing my car maintenance and upkeep with Big O. read more

I recommend this Big O Tires, only, if you want to be threatened, to get you're a$$ kicked by a shop full of employees, when you challenge the managers false statements, and instead of the employees stopping to think for a minute, 'am I possible mistaken in what I think I know', and find a solution to a paying longtime customer, instead of pounding fists in hands, calling customers liars without proof, and doubling down in their arguments..., than yes, go to Big O Tires. I was promised a call from the owner and a full refund, and I would love to hear from the owner, and I could care less about the return of the cost of the warranty, clearly, they need the money more than me; but I doubt either will be happen. Really, what could the owner say or do to fix this mess, hopefully that is not a top-down problem, and that the owner considers sending their staff to customer service training, anger management, and maybe be shown the way out the door; can anyone say liability? I get it, it's tough to find good employees these days, but hiring thugs to be customer facing is not sustainable. Check the phone video of your employee who was recording the events. Purchased a warranty for alignment on brand new 2021 Toyota 4Runner in Aug-2021 with 60 miles on it. In Jul-21, ahead of actually taking ownership of the 4Runner, we bought a 3" lift kit, so we could install once we got the 4Runner home, which was in Aug-21. We bought the alignment warranty from Big O Tires after we installed the lift kit. The Big O Tires sales rep who sold the warranty, saying, "yeah, you can romp it and bring it in anytime, that's what the warranty is for". Fast forward to today May-22, we brought the 4Runner with 5K miles and 8 months later, for an alignment under the existing alignment warranty, AND we also brought in our dually tires needing a tire swap and balance again; something Big O Tires has done twice before, once at this location and the other time at the McDowell location. Both times, Big O Tires took our money to do them. Both the alignment and balancing services we needed, were arranged over the phone, and we were told to come in at 10am. 11:30am we received a call that they don't have the 'bags' to balance the dually tires, and we would probably have to take it to another shop to get balanced at 7th St.... but he didn't know, he'd have to call back. 30 minutes later, they call back, and during that call, the rep said that they won't balance the dually tires, and that they have never balanced there before...?, when we asked, if we didn't bring them in, and they didn't do the balancing, why do I show I paid Big O for both balancing; and when we asked if that was true than they clearly couldn't have done the balancing, so we asked 'what did we paid for'? This was the first time we were told we were liars. Then, on this same call, they said the alignment warranty on the 4Runner was voided since we added the lift....? We came down to the shop, and when we explained it was lifted when we bought the alignment warranty, the manager said, "I've been doing this for 25 years and this is a brand-new lift". I told him we could show it was lifted in August, and when he told me to prove it, we asked "are calling us liars, again?", he said "yes"! Meanwhile, the shop staff, gather up and surround my husband, screaming in his face to just leave, and threatening to physically fight my husband, literally clenching and prepared to swing on him....The manager tells us, "They don't want our business, and don't care how many people hear about, and I should tell as many people as I want"! read more

(Lie) then proceeded to tell me that they had the tires at a different store (lie again) they had to get them at the warehouse. Waited over 2 hours getting jerked around. Thanks a lot Big O.
