I was here like 2 weeks ago maybe 3. I use to be a loyal client of discount tires until they ordered the wrong tire and then put it on the car claiming it was the one i ordered even though i had the online confirmation. Not even a I'm sorry or we will try to fix it or anything. They basically told me well that's all we have now so too bad. I then went to autozone and was chit chatting with the guys still pissed off and they said that they hear that lots and to try big o tire. I ordered tires for my little electric car and well there was a hiccup and the tires were not available. The manager called a few places and could not find it any where. He told me to get the tire and ship them there and they put them on.I checked around and could not find these tires in the whole midwest. Even tire rack and other large online tire places could not get em. I found the tires ordered them and when to see if they had my tires and Terrence assisted me. I told him my dilemma about my bent rims and he gave me some options. We chatted for a bit me then he got the mechanic. He said he see what he can do. I say down and heard banging. And watched Terrence operate. Every one who walked in loved him. He is a natural with people and a huge asset to the organization and i hope you are paying him well because the skills he has with people are very rare in Minnesota. We chatted some more as he gave me status and then the mechanic comes out. Your mechanic is truly gifted and has the most magical hands. He heated and bent my rims back and they looked like new. Got me a perfect alignment. I did not expect that. The service i received here i have never received at any tire place. The just replaced my front tires the back ones were on back order and i hope to get them next week. The whole staff is amazing especially Terrance and your Mechanic. Have taken car in to have oil change and tires rotated. When questioned why tires were not rotated they said it was not needed another time they said they were to busy.Both times I was told tires were rotated but I knew they were not because I marked them . They did it again to my daughter last week plus told her she needed new tires Went to Firestone, Costco, and Discount tire all said tires had another 15000 miles left. If I could give zero reviews I would. Had to bring up our SD mechanic to confirm that we were being very over charged for parts and labor. Changed their story on what exactly was done and didn't take the right steps to diagnosing the vehicle. Did work that wasn't necessary. Thank goodness our mechanic did come because he saved us over $700 by removing the unnecessary parts in less than 15 minutes. read more

Not as long as other reviews, but simply, their appointment system does not work. I tried several times on my phone to schedule an appointment with their mobile client, none of which worked. I then went on my laptop and created an appointment for the next day at 5, and recieved a confirmation email. It then advised that if I don't get another email or a call by the appointment time, to call them to confirm. I did not get another email or call and upon calling, learned that they I was not in their system and they had scheduled someone else for an appointment at the same time. They did not apologize or anything, just stated "you're not on here" as if I had done something wrong. Horrible service, with as many options as there are in West St. Paul, I would not reccommend wasting your time here. read more

I stopped by their shop because my brand new 2018 Ford Fusion had a slow leak in the right rear tire. the dealership where I bought it is almost an hour a way. so I dropped in to Big O Tires on Robert St in west st paul. They took it in right way. They identified a bead leak. they said that this sometimes happens when you install new tires incorrectly. they didn't charge me. Can it get any better ? read more

I was able to get in within an hour of call for oil change and tire rotation! They showed me how dirty my air filter was in my 2017 car!! Horrible. I didn't known so I had them change it. I asked if they knew anyone who could clean my beige fabric car seats which are so dirty. Billy looked at them and thought he could get them himself cleaned! He did!! He came in and gave me progress reports! I'm so impressed with their service and attention to detail! I am driving away a happy customer! read more

On November 11th 2017, I scheduled my 2004 Chevy Suburban, via the NTB website, for services (coolant flush, tire rotation, and tire patch) scheduled for 12:30 pm on November 12th, the following day, at what was called NTB Robert Street West St. Paul but is now Big O Tires, I dropped my truck off at 12:30 for the coolant flush, tire rotation, and tire patch on the right rear tire. I had paid the extra money last year for warranty, when I originally bought my tires, for free tire rotations and free tire repair. I was called at 6:15 to come pick up my truck, and was told all is well. I pay for my coolant flush, they told me they took care of the leaking tire and rotation, and I was on my way. The truck did not get use for about 3 weeks, as we were out of town, and had another vehicle to use at the time. When we returned from our trip, my right rear tire is flat and still in the same position it was, and I have leaked dex-cool coolant all over the place. Upon inspection it appears that the bottom radiator hose was removed, and not put back on correctly. After finding out that they only use Valvoline Maxlife Universal coolant, and not dex-cool, the tech. apparently took that line off, for whatever reason, and then put it back on without ever doing the flush. They NEVER did the coolant flush, they NEVER rotated the tires, and my tire was NOT patched, as they said. Literally took my money, and sent me out the door with a vehicle that needed attention!!! I tried to call that location, but could not get through. After a google search, I see that location is permanently closed. I call NTB corporate office on 11/30/17, and was told by the young man on the phone that he will have someone call me back, as they are in a transition from NTB to Big O Tires. I never heard from anyone, so on 12/1/17 I called back and spoke with a woman who listened to my issue, put me on hold for a bit, then returned to say that although it is now Big O Tires, the same team is still at that location, and after talking with the manager Eric, that everything would be taken care of promptly and in short order. I dropped the truck off on 12/3/17 at the West St. Paul location at 12:00 noon. After speaking with Eric, he said no one from corporate ever talked with him, and that he didn't know what I was talking about, but said he would take care of it. I picked my vehicle up at 6:30 pm that same day, and was told everything was taken care of. On Tuesday 12/5/17, I came out from work to a flat tire on the same side, same position. So they did the coolant flush, it seems, but did not rotate the tires, or fix the leaking tire again! Road side assistance filled my tire up for me so I could get home. I promptly called NTB again on 12/6/17, and was told that this is now Big O Tire's problem. So I called Big O corporate office that same day. I did not want to bring my vehicle back to that location, and really just wanted some assurances that if I brought it to another location I would not be charged for the rotation and tire repair. She said she would escalate this issue and I should be hearing back from someone right away. I never heard from anyone, so I contacted the Cottage Grove store myself on 12/9/17 and told the manager my story. She said she would take care of the rotation and tire, and it wouldn't cost a thing. They did take care of the tires in a timely manner and very professionally. All seemed to be going well until the sub zero temperatures came. My wife was using the truck to run errands at 11:00am on 12/30/17. It was -12 degrees that day. About a mile down the highway the temperature gauge starts to rise very quickly, and all of a sudden, before she could even pull over there was a loud pop, lots of hissing, smoke, and terrible noises. The truck would not start again. I went and picked her up, and upon inspection, I have slush and ice in what was left of the coolant. We left it for a couple of hours, then returned to try and start it. It did start, but now there is a loud knocking noise and the engine is misfiring, had to have it towed home.Turns out after reading my receipt for the flush, they used Maxlife Universal coolant from a concentrated drum (VAL719008), that necessitates the technician to make the correct mixture of coolant to water ratio, to guard against overheating and/or freezing. The correct mixture of this coolant, according to Valvoline, should protect my engine up to -50 degrees. There should be no reason for my coolant freezing, except via a bad mixture with too much water. I called Big O Tires corporate office again on 12/30/17 to tell them I need to talk to someone ASAP, as now my vehicle is dead, and full of problems, and needs to be seen by a certified mechanic. After speaking with Erica, she gave me a reference number, and assured that this problem will be escalated to the highest levels. It is now Jan. 13th 2018, and I have heard nothing from anybody, all the while my truck sits dead. read more
