This place is best cheesesteak you can get without going to Atlanta or even Philadelphia. I've had almost every cheesesteak in Cumming or Dawsonville and it's the best one by far. Fries were very good as well. Mix of regular and curly fries.

Dan S. Thought my review was funny on Big Red's Biscuits and Deli. Even made a comment about me throwing my doughnut in the garbage. Here's to you Danny boy. You can have this Donut on me. It's was awful and not worth it. I get the impression your affiliated some how and trying to do damage control.

Came here on the grand opening and enjoyed the deli-style lunch food for a great price. I got the deluxe grilled cheese and Philly cheese steak. Highly recommend!

My bacon, egg, and white American cheese biscuit was awesome. The bacon was thick and meaty. The biscuit was hand made and fresh. The egg was broken open and cooked to order. And then I had a nana cream filled donut. The coffee was earthy and rich. All made by Big Red himself. I'll be back.

Good food. Just let them know you enjoyed your stay, as you'll be sitting in the drive thru so long you will accrue hotel points.

Roundabout Deli is one of the best surprises I've had in a long time. If you love sandwiches, this…read moreplace needs to be on your list immediately. Located on the south side of Dahlonega next to the Chevron station (separate from the gas station itself), this small sandwich shop absolutely delivers when it comes to flavor, quality, and presentation. This was my first visit and I genuinely could not decide what to order, so I went all in and tried several sandwiches. Every sandwich I tried was excellent. The Cowboy Cubano and the Irish Imposter Reuben ended up being my favorites. That Reuben was so good I literally went to sleep thinking about it afterward. The Irish Imposter comes with shaved pastrami, Swiss cheese, barrel-cured sauerkraut, and their house-made thousand island aioli on toasted marble rye. Crispy on the outside, warm and cheesy inside, and packed with flavor. One of the better Reubens I've had in North Georgia. The Cowboy Cubano was incredible too. Smoked brisket, pepper jack cheese, green chiles, Texas red sauce, Alabama white sauce, and crispy fried onions on perfectly pressed Cuban bread. Smoky, creamy, crunchy, slightly spicy -- everything worked together perfectly. The Clubber was loaded with smoked turkey, thick-cut bacon, applewood smoked ham, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and garlic Dijon aioli. Super fresh, balanced perfectly, and the bread was fantastic. The Philly Cubano was another standout with shaved roast beef, steak seasoning, provolone, white American, roasted peppers, and onions on authentic Cuban bread imported from Miami. You can taste the difference immediately in the bread quality. I'm already planning a return trip specifically to try the High Country Cubano with pulled smoked pork, smoked ham, Swiss, dill pickles, chips, and smoky mustard aioli. The desserts were excellent too. They had these thick gourmet cookies that were amazing, especially the pecan pie cookie that basically combines a cookie with pecan pie filling on top. Dangerous stuff. What impressed me most is that these sandwiches are crafted with care. Great cuts, beautiful presentation, quality ingredients, and somehow they're not overly messy to eat. You can tell the people behind this place know what they're doing. Daniel was back there making sandwiches during my visit and doing an awesome job, and the service overall was excellent. Friendly people, welcoming atmosphere, and genuine pride in the food. A couple things to know before you go: 1. Parking is limited 2.It's a takeout spot. You do have a few chairs to sit and wait for your food inside though Honestly though, none of that matters once you take the first bite. If sandwiches were the only food I could eat for the rest of my life, I'd be completely fine with it -- and places like this are exactly why. Dahlonega is lucky to have a spot like this. Support local businesses and go give them a try.

I love to support local mom and pop places but this one continues to just miss and I can't go when…read morethe only thing good is it's local people We have been to Rubys when it was the old location on memory drive and it was better then and now several times at the new location which seems to be when they went downhill. First before you go check the health score. They had scored in the 60s and 70s and were hit for not keeping food at the right temps and had mentioned it was timing if the health inspection for someone was coming out the next day to resolve. Sounds good and sounds like they knew about it. They got heath checked again a month later and well the same issue on food temps was still an issue. The service is not always great. We have been and walked out after 15 mins of being ignored and it was not super busy. Then on other times the service was slow, had to ask for refills and if you get appetizers and share plates please note they won't clear the table till you leave so yes you can sit there with your dirty plates and look at them and your empty glass that you want more drink in. I have mentioned it to the owner and he said while we do have young kids working here. That's an excuse and a training along with management issue. I worked as a server at the same age and knew what the restaurant standards were. Onto the food. It's Italian but in reality it is pizza and sandwiches. The pizza dough is thick and since I have been to Italy it is nothing like Italy. I've been to New York, Chicago and Detroit and it's none of those styles either. It's thick dough that I have had not cooked all the way through. Also you pay per topping and I will say the price for the amount of toppings is way off and not worth it. The sandwich is decent. I think the bread is made there so plus on that. They use boars head so basically it's similar to any other local sandwich shop. We did have dessert. I think they may make the cakes there but we had cannolis and the shells came out of a box and not sure about the crème since it was already in a pipping bag. Overall this place is meh. It probably stays in business because near the square there are not a lot of choices so people get pizza and they deliver when others don't go that far. So that's probably their bread and butter. Those looking for a good Italian dinner are just not going to Also when you go there is wiring over by doors and you can see in the pictures. It doesn't seem safe and done properly.

Hmmmm..I want to love this place but the Saturday I went they were struggling badly…read more It was around 3pm. Not crowded at all. Service very slow. I ordered a Rubin and my husband ordered a sausage Parmesan sandwich. They came with chips. My Ruben came out after a fairly long wait. Waitress told my husband that his was on the way. A long wait later she told my husband they made a meatball parm in error and would he take it. They offered to make the sausage parm as a to go. The Rubin was very good. The meatball parm was just ok. They definitely need some training on how to run a sit down restaurant. Also training on how to prep food and have it go out at the same time for full party. The waitress did not even apologize for the somewhat strange service. I also thought rubys was known for their take home and heat meals. A lady stopped by for a dinner and was told they had none I hope they get it together soon!
