Pizza with extra toppings. But we didn't get extra toppings we actually got less. But paid for extra

Have ordered several times since moving down here about 6 months ago usually spot on. We ordered two topping special but divided the toppings in half they said that didn't work for special. So we just paid for the extra toppings. We got less toppings after paying for the extra toppings. We will try our luck at the pizza joint down by the Publix. Wife even asked where are the onions girl said when showing pizza hey there is one

Big Roman's Pizza- Micco, FL- 2.5 Stars As I was driving south along US1 for this review, I couldn't help but wonder what it was with mobile home parks and tornadoes. Why do tornadoes seem to target these neighborhoods? Location? Some heretofore undiscovered tornado enchanting emission from mobile homes themselves? I was thinking about this as my destination was Big Roman's Pizza in Micco, FL which sits at the entrance to the massive mobile home park, Barefoot Bay. Pulling into the parking lot I left my musings to the professionals to figure out and went inside. The first thing that hit me was a sense of Deja Vu. Had I been here before? A quick double-check of my blog at bigboydining.com assured me that I had not. Then I realized it must be the décor. If I asked you to describe your average American pizza place I am almost certain your description would include red or red and white checkered table cloths encased in Plexiglas, faux brick half walls and a wooden chef cut out or small statue. I even caught the enticing odor of baking pizzas wafting about. I did not catch the name of the young man that took my order as he kept his head on the counter the whole time. I thought this to be a rather unique way to perform one's job, but hey, whatever works. He did manage to correctly take my order of one pepperoni pizza and my unit of measurement for these eateries, the essential meatball sub sandwich. It's a good thing the table was clean and the seating somewhat comfortable as 36 minutes in and I am still waiting for my food. This has to be some of the worst service I have ever encountered. I had just about had enough and was in the process of finding another place to review today when low and behold my order was delivered. Good thing too as no one wants to see the Big Boy hangry! After one bite of the double crust pizza, I realized two things. First, the crust tasted as good as it smelled. It was obviously freshly made and had the right amount of give on the outside and warm, soft bread on the inside. It was complex and satiating on the palate. The second thing I noticed was that the pepperoni was crap. It was nothing better than a low end, pre-sliced frozen Italian meat stick. This is not the first time I have encountered an experience such as this and it baffles me beyond belief that an owner or head cook would have incredible beginnings and disappointing toppings? Big Roman's double crust pizza can only be described as manque as it fell far short of the expectations set forth by the wonderful dough. The same can be said for the meatball sub. Again, the bread it was served on was fantastic (warm, crusty, and chewy) however the meatballs were nothing out of the ordinary walk in freezer and left much to be desired. It wasn't bad, it wasn't great. It was average. All and all I can see ordering this if I was living in Barefoot Bay and not in the mood to cook or go anywhere. If they picked up their game a tad on the meats this place could be plus 3 with that crust, however, the Big Boy says, "Big Roman's Pizza is a serviceable last resort for the half-starved."

NY STYLE PIZZA HERE…read more.. Made an abrupt u-turn along Sebastian Blvd as we passed the words Pizzeria. The building was bare of business signage but a large Giuseppe's Pizzeria sign was in the parking lot. The dining room had dark brown wood flooring throughout with several light wood tables some on hinges with ability to extend for larger parties. The oversized slice of pizza was priced well at only $3.00. The undercarriage had a nice char and loved the tangy sauce. Ate it in my car while driving to the Indian River a few miles away. The gender assigned bathroom was clean and oddly decorated with a retro Incredible Hulk comic book picture, optical test chart with a hidden message and a motorcycle on the walls. Further decor features dark brown wood-look tile flooring and textured ceramic wall tiles, modern mounted sink with a potted plant in the corner which completed an absolutely beautiful unexpected sight. Great place to grab a massive slice of pizza if in the Sebastian area. Strong 4.5 star rating.

Another stop in Sebastian at this pizza restaurant. Very pleased with my big big big pizza slice…read more While waiting, I watched a few of the orders come out from the kitchen to other customers and it was making me really hungry. The menu had all of the traditional Italian dishes so nothing shocking. My hubby is the real pizza fanatic but he's rubbing off on me lately. I'm a sucker now for the NY pizza cooked well done.

The food quality here is always been great. I find on the menu they have these things called rolls. I ordered one thinking I'd get some tostitos pizza roll looking things that were homemade. What arrived it was a much better surprise and delight. it arrives and was a very fair size very filling. I was also surprised that it looked almost like a stromboli. Similar concepts for totally different. Service here has always been great. If you call ahead and order it's usually ready by the time you arrive. Even if you don't call ahead and order the order still comes out in a very timely fashion. The staff here is always been nice and friendly I'm happy to engage in a casual conversation about pizza and other Italian food related chit chat. They have a fairly good selection of bottled beer and bottled organic sodas as well as a fountain drink machine. My only small complaint would've be at their fountain drink machine does not have dew of the mountain on tap. It's a little odd because it's a Pepsi fountain drink machine but I'm sure the reason mountain dew is it on tap has a lot to do with health and personal choices having said that it is a Pepsi machine so they still have Pepsi.
