We really enjoyed the educational presentation today. You can tell the owner loves these animals and enjoys what she does. It was really an experience to see these animals up close. Our group really loved being there.

This is my favorite place to go in the south suburbs. The kids learned so much, and the animals are beautiful.

Especially around customer service, the amount of time it takes to adopt a pet and if the pet was still adoptable once we got through the process. Well, we DIDN'T have ANY of the bad experiences others reported. The customer service upon entry from START to FINISH was OUTSTANDING. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the front desk with excellent customer service. The 'cat' coordinator who took us to the cat section was VERY knowledgeable about the cats and spent an incredible amount of time with us. We didn't feel rushed at all. P.A.W.S followed through with everything they said they would do. The whole process from seeing our little Whisper to picking her up and taking her to her new home was six days (and that's because two of the days we weren't available). The process went very smoothly. They answered our questions in person and returned our phone calls and emails timely. They are very concerned about their pets and the homes their animals are placed in. We feel really honored to house one of the pets from their facility. Thank you P.A.W.S for everything you do for animals!

We were also told there was no guarantee the dog would still be there. We followed up and called every day and got no information. We were also lied to by the people handling the application. I brought my dog here for a follow up (from a previous urgent care visit (different facility) 2…read moreweeks earlier) because he had a ruptured anal gland. I called this clinic to make an appointment and the lady was very nice to me and I was able to get him in....because my dog is a new patient she did explain that there would be a $50 deposit to hold the appointment...I had no problem with that because I found out that it does go toward the final bill of the visit. So, the appointment was set for 10:30...they do expect you to arrive 10 min early....I was actually 15 min early but when I brought him in, they were already expecting him....which I totally appreciated the prompt check in. They checked his weight and escorted us right into the exam room. Kylie (the vet tech) was so sweet! She was so professional and Rocky was very comfortable with her handling him! And Dr. Noyes was great too! She was very knowledgeable and had no problem answering my questions. Checking out was easy and the ladies at the front desk were very nice and proficient. I'm looking forward to bringing my dog here for all of his healthcare needs.

All the while, the vet offers no hypothesis or plan of treatment. I have to research and ask if this or that could help, or if it was this, what could we do. I got more answers from asking AI than I did from this vet. All she was interested in was running an ultrasound for $430. When I said, " Well, what would that show?" She was unclear if it would help diagnose or treat. Our poor cat was suffering, but I had to suggest different solutions! But she wanted us to bring her in, which further traumatized the cat, every 1 to 2 weeks. For what? The vet didn't offer a solution or even an effective treatment. Our cat went from a chunky 20 pounds to a rail-thin 7 pounds in 6 months! Finally, we decided to end her suffering. She was only 9 years old. Most cats can expect to live 16 to 18 years. Were we treated with sympathy, empathy? No, totally unfeeling. Just wanted to sell this or that to us in addition to charging us $360.00 to euthanize our cat. Never take your animal here!!!

The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. The classes are incredibly valuable too. The results speak for themselves.

However for my migraine alert dog passing she gave us a huge hug! Then for our last fur dogs passing who we had to put down on February 4th, she held our dog genuinely and lovingly, she provided soft treat snack for her if she wanted it. She refused it at first but she gladly took it. Current doctors who we tried to routinely see if available Dr Straight. She has a beautiful soul and a love for animals! She is patient and kind. She saw our furbaby and worked hands on with our baby till the end. There was another Doctor who we absolutely love. She was gentle and genuine. She was supportive! We added her to our dog list of doctors because she had a ton of knowledge on senior dogs. While she did not put her down, she still came to say her goodbye. Katelyn a groomer there worked along side of our dog. We did let the front staff know if they wanted to tell Katelyn before we put her down that she was welcome to come back. She did come back to say her goodbye to Cocoa when she did not have too. She is a fantastic groomer!!! She takes solid notes. Sofia was a beautiful soul too and we appreciated her. She very sensitive towards the situation. We did ask for clippings of our dogs fur and we never got that from them. So if this is something you want from your dog please do it on your own terms or have a trusted neighbor assist you if you can't. I was planning on turning it into a necklace but never got it. When we picked up our dogs ashes. Staff were sad. One staff she was very kind but she firmly told my husband he was a good Dad. She did not say anything to me on that matter which hurt because while I was not there mostly for the vet appointments. She did not know the work that I did at home or if I attended by phone. So that rubbed me the wrong place. When Katelyn was gone on maternity leave. They had a brand new groomer. She was crappy. She injured our dogs ear. Our dog had to receive vet care. They should have credited full amount back to us but they only gave us partial. That is not substantial when a newbie injures your dogs ear.
