I went to the Clement farmer's market at around 10:45am on Sunday. There was a short line for Sonder Cafe and it took 10min for the BLT to be made after I ordered. It was delicious! A good amount of house made bacon, heirloom tomatoes, a cherry tomato salad and lettuce. It was a juicy sandwich and very satisfying. The tomatoes were delicious.

I stopped ordering in person at the shop because someone there always ended up being kind of a dick during the interaction - either during the ordering or the pick up - without fail. We ordered the tuna salad and veggie sandwiches. The veggie sandwich had a thick layer of pesto and the tuna salad was mixed with a variety of seasonings, so that both were strongly flavored (if a little homogenous) with every bite. Both stayed warm and the bread stayed crispy, even after takeout. The sandwich game is strong, but even more notable is the owner who goes out of his way to make customers feel welcome. While we were there, a senior came in needing to use a bathroom and not speaking much English. The owner readily made the "Not For Customers" restroom available. And when a leashed dog stopped by, he came out from behind the counter with cuts of deli meat as treats. The sandwiches lean heavy here -- you can watch them brush oil over the bread before toasting -- so plan to split or save the second half for dinner. But be sure to stop in: the owner makes the shop a neighborhood institution.

I highly recommend the Jamon Serrano & Manchego sandwich ($14.50). It comes with shaved ribbons of serrano ham, 1/5 inch thick slice of aged manchego cheese, a creamy spread of chevre goat cheese, chopped/marinated artichokes and arugula greens on a crusty/crunchy baguette (between half to a full foot long). I practically finished this within 10 minutes - it was so good! The expresso shot ($3.25) was also a good pairing for me. Loved the aroma, made from nicely dark roasted beans. Inside the venue there's shelves on the back wall, with Italian dry goods, oils, vinegars, jams, etc for sale. Seating indoors is about 5ish tables for 2 or more.
