The food was a large portion. The bulgogi had good taste the ribs were fall off the bone. It was just way too much for us to eat. The service was good. The restaurant was clean but hot. Ac seemed out. I'd definitely eat it again but I'd order less.
My friend and I had seen this all over social media and decided to go check it out on our day off to celebrate galentines day. Upon entering we were surprised by such a cute and cozy spot! Drinks you would grab from the cooler and order at the counter. They have the menu on display along with a self service kiosk. I ordered a platter plate and a drink and once we ordered we took a seat! This restaurant was so so clean and cute! Food didn't take long for it to arrive and the server was so sweet! Everything was fresh and looked so beautifully plated! I ordered a teriyaki chicken platter with potato salad, white rice, and veggie dumplings. Overall, everything was absolutely delicious and there was a lot of food that we ended up needing to take it home! I will be back for sure!

Their of the day was bean spouts and beef. Everything on that tray was absolutely delicious. The galbi was flavorful and tender. The banchan was delicious. There were five different side dishes for the banchan, and I was glad I chose that. The soup was delicious as well. It tasted like a home cook meal. I would definitely be returning!

This place has been on my radar for a very long time and I finally got to try it with some friends today, one of the best if not the best Korean spot I've tried yet! Prices are fair $10+, complementary barley tea, and a backhome Korean type cafeteria setup - it's really cute and cozy The food is of great quality in my opinion and tastes fresh. I can't explain what it is about the food but it definitely tastes like it was prepared with lots of love and care! One of the female workers was so kind enough to give me a complimentary side of ttebokki because she noticed my flowers as a belated bday gift from one of my friends! Customer service is 11/10, they are very welcoming, helpful and polite. I would like to see fried tofu type skin in the future if they ever consider it because I really like that Korean style tofu they use a maybe medium firm tofu which is delicious as well This is going to be an absolute repeat again and again for me - def check this place out it definitely lives up to its hype
This is one of the highest rated Korean restaurant in Duluth...possibly higher than Jang Su Jang. Very surprising because this place is very casual...not a total dive, but more of a quaint eatery? Anyway, the thing is... their menu is quite unique, in that you have SO many options when choosing your plate...Choice of meats, rice and side dishes. You really can't go wrong in that you get to choose what you like! Then the super-friendly pricing...about as cheap as McDonald's? I got greedy, so chose Bulgogi with White Rice, and 4 sides (Japchae, FIsh Cake, Tteokbokki and Kimchi)! They even threw in the extra salad & veggies. Especially loved the fried veggie leaves (whatever it was called?). YUM!! I also wanted to try their other sides, like the Fried Dumplings and Corn Cheese...but thought 4 was enough. Maybe next time! Granted, the foods are delivered in cheap tin trays...but the foods themselves were quite good! I will say, however, that the Bulgogi Beef didn't look or taste too fresh. The side dishes were their winning card, I thought. Despite some ups and downs, this is truly a gem in that it's SO value-packed.

It was my first time having had to pay for kimchi (well, any banchan actually) as a side dish, and even then, the kimchi wasn't to my preference (it's more sour than expected, not spicy, and not the level of fresh I like), which is fine, but made it all the more difficult to come to a rating. And I've eaten here a handful of times already! In the end, the food here is fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. If I ignore the kimchi, I'm pretty happy with everything else. There's only one person entering orders, but there usually isn't much of a line. Once an order is placed, you can choose to sit wherever and get your own utensils. They have water and hot barley tea (so happy about this), though they aren't placed nearby each other. They'll bring the food to you, and you'll put the tray away in the designated area near the utensils. All in all, a great place for lunch, though on the pricier side. I like the bulgogi and spicy pork over the squid and teriyaki chicken, and I'm curious about the other protein options. I'll be back for sure.

I might have heard about this place through a foodie group. I'm pegging this review at 4 stars due to pricing. I think it's weird that you have to pay for the ban chan each at $1.99 when you're getting a meal box (bento like box). I dunno. That's what the group mentioned...
The inside is very dainty and cute. Nice spot to grab lunch with a few friends I think. I haven't tried this place because it's sorta far from my house. My first visit did not disappoint. This is the first time I can say the food was super good. I got the spicy pork plate with 2 sides, and a soup of the day for $24. Price is average but I think the quality makes up for it. Everything I got tasted fresh and was seasoned well. My only real complaint is that the Japchae was a tad bland for. Service was good and they have a kiosk for my introverts. The service was top-notch, as before, and I enjoyed the K-pop music and chill vibes. They brought me a free sample of spicy rice cakes, too! Such a pleasant surprise! While I don't typically like spicy food, these were delicious and not your typical "spicy". More of a smoky spice to the chewy rice texture. Glad I got to try something new! Will definitely be back!
Wow what a burst of flavors! This restaurant is simple but packs a punch. You go to the counter order your food and soon the food is out in front of you. We got the spicy pork and La Galbi plates with rice cakes and cucumber salad . I would highly recommend the spicy pork just for its flavor! Oh My!! This was the most delicious Korean food I've ever eaten. Everything tasted more fresh than anything I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The side options are very authentic and delicious. I ordered the tofu and my husband ordered the chicken. Both were soft, tender, and flavorful. Inside is very clean and there are plenty of seating options. Self-serve restaurant, place your order, and they will bring it out. Grab your own utensils, and grab the drink you bought. Kind of an honor system. At the time of this, the AC seemed broken so they had fans running. Otherwise, it's a comfortable space with some sections that look like communal seating. I love a good bento box lunch/dinner and Big Sister's Kitchen does it right. My usual go-to for dosirak is J.S. Kitchen (another great option because their banchan is ELITE!) but for a solid hot meal box, I definitely prefer Big Sister's. My go-to is the spicy stir fried squid meal box - while you can chose individual sides of your preference , I definitely recommend going with the daily banchan for $4.50, as 2 sides are worth $4. I've also tried the pork ribs meal box and the spicy chicken, both of which are tasty, as well. My only complaint is that it's not closer to my home! But maybe grateful that it's not too close for my health's sake LOL. read more

Self service at a kiosk, but they provide paper menus as well for those who want to browse before they approach to order. When we went there were quite a few other groups eating, so it was a bit loud. Overall though, very clean and inviting. We ordered two meal boxes, one with spicy squid and one with galbi. For sides we got the tteokbokki, japchae, dumplings, and the cheese corn. We also got the soup of the day. The galbi was great in both flavor and cook, but the squid was a little on the chewier side... Tteokbokki was fried which was a first, but tasted great! Japchae was simple which is good, not too sweet. Fried Dumplings were not oily. The cheese corn was good, very mayo in flavor. Nothing came out cold, and it stayed pretty warm due to the metal trays. Soup of the Day contained sprouts and fish, it was very light and delicious. We missed the water dispenser at first, but there is one. The tea was good, very hot so the ice machine (which is a part of the water dispenser) is helpful. Unfortunately we also missed the place to place trays, which now reading through other reviews I believe is located near the utensils? If I lived closer to this restaurant I would visit and order from them often (like weekly)! Everything (the meat, rice, & sides) were delicious. I honestly can't wait to go back and try more items on the menu. Ordering on the kiosk was very easy & efficient. The owners were so nice and both checked to see how our meal was. I really enjoyed the opportunity to try a different Milkis flavor (grape) than I had before and it was my first time trying banana milk, which I loved. Amazing food, this is what I would expect the Korean mother I never had to make me. The food is bold, Smokey and well seasoned. The sides are incredible there really isn't anything you can order that is not incredible. My wife and I came in with our 8 month old and they just made us feel so welcomed. They even brought over a small tray of food for her to eat, which was just above and beyond nice. This is a must visit if you want the real Korean food experience at a price that won't break the bank! read more

This is a great spot to try a good amount of Korean sides and dishes! The lady at the counter was nice and explained everything to us about how to order, her recommendations, etc. It made me feel comfortable. There was lots of seating and plenty of hot/cold water and barley tea at the utensils station. The LA galbi was so worth it, and salad was good. The tteokbokki was crispy (not burnt) and my coworker wasn't a fan. I liked how unique it was but after having more bites, I don't think I'd want crispy tteokbokki again. read more

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, homey, and cozy. When I went to place my order, the staff gave amazing recommendations and explained how everything is made fresh. I had a few questions, and they knew exactly how to guide me through the menu pointing out both the popular dishes and options they thought I'd enjoy. I dined solo and was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and inviting the experience was. The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were so generous that I even took some home. Nice cafe. Only reason I put 3 stars for service is because it's more like a self service, they do bring your food but you get your utensils, water, napkins yourself, and bus your table. I'm fine with it, in fact I prefer it that way so I don't have to ask. Food was good. I got the Spicy Chicken Meal Box. Fried rice a bit disappointing (it's basically rice with soy sauce) but it was fine. The spicy chicken was tasty, the portions were large, dumplings and salad good too. But for a korean restaurant, they don't give you any banchan (side dishes). I think you have to order it and pick 5. I wouldn't mind if it were 9.95 but I'm paying 16.95 for chicken (up charge on any other meat) and I don't even get a little kimchi? The same meal at other korean places give you unlimited banchan. I love Korean barbecue and this place is a gem! I found this place from Instagram and couldn't wait to try it out. It is easy to call ahead and order to go. It is in the same shipping center as lobster banh mi. I love this lunch box concept with various options for meat. I ordered kalbi, the octopus and bibimbap. You can get some sauces on the side and the bull sauce definitely adds an extra spice if you are brave! The food was well packed and they are delicious! The kalbi is my favorite. Tender beef grilled to perfection. Banchan of the day gives you lots of variety and the dressing for the salad is so refreshing. The brown rice is so fluffy too! The bibimbap was packed with vegetables, beef and also very tasty. My friend tried to grilled kalbi herself and she started ordering here instead because they do such a good job and the prices are fair (they have large orders available). They are always so nice and courteous when I stop by and this place is usually busy with lots of customers. Thank you, until next time! read more
