Typical day at Big Sky where they know customers by their name and there is a line waiting for their amazing bread and pastries!

This is a Kettering Gem! Family owned and they take pride in their community. Their bread is amazing. We don't buy from the grocery store anymore. We also come here for holiday treats. Their monkey bread, cinnamon rolls, etc... all amazing. Oh. And they also have soup and sandwiches for a great lunch! Amazing service every time.

    Amazing muffins!

Great soup and bread! We enjoyed a gift of vegetable soup and peasant bread during recent health problems. It's delicious!

Cinnamon rolls taste a little weird not as if it's poisoned or something, but needs an ingredient change!

We took a quick trip from columbus to Dayton and were instantly impressed. This is definitely a cafe that loves its city and features many locally made wares. We got the garlic cream cheese danish, the Kellie pie danish, the orange monkey bread, and the buttered croissant. My only problem was that the croissant was covered in a brushing of sugar syrup and it would have been nice for it to just be a butter croissant. It was still delicious and perfectly fine just wish it would have been named more appropriately:) Staff are efficient but kind as there is always a line out the door. We were lucky to still grab some seats inside on a hot day; however, there is well shaded seating outside as well. 4 pastries are a lot for 2 people so we could not try any more. We can't wait to go back!!!!

There is a large indoor seating area. There is some street parking. If I had been parked better I would've lingered. Instead I chose 4 items to take away in a box. I enjoyed everything. They have some really interesting pastries and also the more typical ones. It's on the high $ side. In my opinion it's a treat, a special event kind of place. This is not a get a dozen for the kids ball game kind of spot. Again, just my opinion. I hope to return when I can sit and linger.

I only got the chance to eat a few of the goodies I had but what I did eat was pretty good . I received some sort of apple danish which was so soft and pretty good . Then there was this pastry called Kougin Amann, which kinda reminded me of baklava without the peanuts and the glaze. But it was soo good it was in the size of a Muffin. They gave us two. There were also other parties in there that I didn't get a chance to even get too but there was a cinnamon roll and some pastry with strawberries and crème in the middle. 10/10 will definitely have to come back and get some more pastries and goodies

After I chose a seat, they brought out my breakfast croissant on a paper plate. I wish the cheese was melted, but the sandwich was really good. The croissant was impressive-it tasted like I was back in Paris. It just felt like I was in my hotel lobby having breakfast with all the paper products. I opted for an assortment of to go pastries to try--almond croissant, lemon blueberry scone, and coffee cake. They were all pretty delicious, except the scone. The coffee cake was the best. I will be back!

All the cupcakes were really good. My favorite was the chocolate with caramel icing, but I also really liked the lemon with berry icing. This was my first time ever ordering a custom cake, so I didn't know what to expect for time and pricing. I emailed The Cakery a week before my husband's birthday with some reference photos and told them they can take off some of the details shown in the pictures (because I thought surely this kind of cake would be like a hundred dollars and I don't have that budget). However, Ginger got back to me and described what they'll do and it was above and beyond what I expected! I went with the strawberry swirl 7" triple layer cake for $42.99. Both emailing and in person, the service was amazing. My husband absolutely loved the cake and we both loved the taste too. We would definitely recommend!

I don't really care for sweets (I even recycle Halloween candy from year to year!), but I dream of Ele's white cake with butter cream frosting. Last week I threw a party - I ordered the cake online on Wednesday for a Saturday pickup. The website is really easy to navigate and allows you to customize your cake. As this was a landmark birthday party, we wanted all black and gray frosting - weird, I know, but it came out perfectly (and was actually very pretty). I arrived on Saturday an hour before I had stated in my order, the cake was ready, and since you can pay online too, I was in and out in 90 seconds. Now, at the end of a grown-up birthday party, you're usually putting the extra cake back in the box and counting the days until the frosting is hard enough to throw the leftovers away and you don't have to feel like you're wasting food. Or is that just me? Regardless, at the end of this party, there wasn't a crumb left (anticipating this, I had already put a generous sized slice in tupperware during the Passing of the Cake Plates cake-cutting ritual - heheheh). I once drove through a massive snowstorm to get one of their cakes (for a party being thrown for me, in fact), because, although the roads were treacherous, they were open for business, my friends are apparently timid drivers, and the cake really is THAT good.

They had three small cakes vanilla, chocolate and marble. I was hoping for something more interesting but no other choices. I went with the marble. I was disappointed that this cake did not taste any different than the ones in the grocery store but it cost a lot more. I won't be back. The bakery was clean and big and in fact seemed too big.
