They are open at the mall location and the food is better then ever. Less wait in their bigger location!

We do the "All you can eat" Sushi and the Chefs are busy but responsive. I asked for something I get elsewhere that's not on the menu. I showed him a picture and he said "No problem"! I have to admit I've never really been a huge Big Tuna fan, but this trip was a plus. Went for lunch with a few friends, we ordered the bento box lunch special (4), along with an Xbox, fried tofu, an origami hand roll, and a few crab salads. Our wait person was polite and efficient. All of our food came in a timely manner and was fresh and delicious. My hot tea kept being refilled without me having to ask, and our table was being cleared regularly. Love this place, Excellent Sushi at the Sushi Bar.... prices have gone up recently for the All you can eat ! Sometimes the Chefs take untimely breaks when it is busy ! I love the sushi but the service is very slow they have eather low staff or they need to get thair time management down. My sushi took forever to arrive and my wife's was forgotten about I dont think I will return until they get thair act together they first reduced the size of the rolls and now the service I will just stick to another local sushi joint read more

Love the new location, Love the original as well. Came in on a Friday around 8pm and was still able to sit at the bar to get all you can eat. Staff was fast and friendly. The vibe is a little different than the original and much brighter but for its location by the mall I feel it fits right in. I will come back again read more

Service was great in the beginning but then it slowed down significantly to the point where we had to flag down our waiters various times. Restaurant was not busy at all except for the all you can eat section. When it came time to pay, I noticed they had charged me more for my Ultimate Shrimp roll. On the menu it clearly stated one price but my bill reflected another. When I brought it up to the older Asian lady at the cashier she stated that prices had gone up. I told her I was going to pay the menu price. She checked another menu and sure enough, it was cheaper. She ended up giving it to me for menu price but seemed upset. So upset that when I asked her for a to-go cup she sent another employee to give me an empty to go cup. I poured what was left of my soda in the to-go cup and left. Use to be a lot better. It wasn't too busy but from the moment we got there I should have known. The wait to be seated was a bit long considering they said they just needed to clean the table. Our waitress was nice and knowledgeable however after she brought our drinks and took our orders, she almost never returned. Food took forever, had to ask the busboy for a refill and if he could find our waitress. Food came out way far apart in times. Kids were done eating before others even got their food. I believe our waitress went to lunch or on a long break and we were kind of forgotten about. Also, portion (rolls) seem to have gotten smaller. Not acceptable for the price. read more

We are long time customers of big tuna by Trader Joe's. Was a great place when it opened in August. Service has gone down since. Went last month and party of four took 15 min to get water and beer. Today no one at reception so we signed in. Several employees walked past us. After 10 min party of two came in and were seated. When another party of two came in and was asked where they would like to sit, we spoke up to ask when we would be seated. Employee got defensive and told us she was not going to seat them. So we told her never mind and left. She got rude and customer got ruder! Will never go back. read more

This place looked great from the outside...the food was horrible...I tried to like it, but honestly it wasn't good...I HATE any sushi restaurant that uses the fake tuna slab...it's disgusting. The scallops were not fresh, making them dry and chewy in the roll. For the prices, the sushi was very minimal...paper thin salmon - I could see the rice through it. Went here today with my best friend for lunch. We ordered and I got my food before she did. I ate my food, and still my friend had not received her food. Granted, I did not get any sushi but by the time my friend's food came, I was done with my lunch. She asked the manager Jeannie what was taking so long. The manager said it takes long to make. We was just here yesterday and the rolls came out almost immediately. The manager Jeannie had a attitude, when my friend said she didnt want it when she brought it to the table. Jeannulie the manager said dont worry about it. Instead of apologizing for the 20 min wait and offered some sort of solution. The manager took the food and disposed it. Bad manager is bad for business. You wouldnt get this type of service at Wokanos or Kubuki. My friend always suggests to go to Big Tunas, not sure if she will come back after today. I believe is the big tuna is one of the most respectful and best, dating sushi place I've ever ate at I can't believe that that get came to us with open arms and allowed us to eat there after hours after JB's casa. My boyfriend and I came in today and ordered separate rolls. He got a California tempura (deep fried California roll) half way through eating it, he pulls out a medium size piece of plastic from his mouth (like a wrapper). We set it aside and call one of the workers and show them and he apologized and offered to take it off the bill and replace it with a new roll. We chose to have it taken off the bill. My boyfriend continued eating and in the next piece found an even bigger piece of plastic! We looked at the rest of the pieces and saw the plastic in all of the remaining pieces as well. We aren't sure if he ate smaller pieces in the other parts of the roll. After finding the other pieces we asked to speak to the manager and were notified there was no manager in today...? The guy informed us "the chef just forgot to take the wrapper off the crab." Not only was there plastic in the food but this roll was DEEP FRIED meaning all the plastic was also fried and the chemicals were released into the food. I appreciate them taking the roll off and replacing it and the guy that helped us was very kind and accommodating. However that's a big mistake and it could've caused someone to choke on the plastic wrappers. Please be careful when preparing food for others! Oh and we definitely won't recommend this place to others. We used to love big tuna but will find a new favorite sushi place after this. read more

We were a little nervous about going here after we read all of the reviews about long wait times and we were in a time crunch however we were in and out in less than an hour. We were seated right away (reg table, not sushi bar). Our waitress (Naiomi?) was very attentive and took our drink and food orders promptly. Our food came out within 5-10mins. Where to start We used to go to the old location of Bigtuna Great customer service you were seated almost right away the staff was extremely friendly Great food and customer service now they moved to this new location extremely large customer service very slow we came in on a Saturday a group of four people we asked to sit at the bar they said we have a 45 minute wait we asked why there's plenty of seats open at the bar over 10 to 12 seats available according to the young lady with no personality we have to wait they don't have enough shifts on a Saturday they only had two people working we said OK we don't mind sitting at a table then she said no tables are not all you can eat? Didn't understand that I've been to several place that allow you to sit at a table and order all you can eat but not a big deal we waited for 45 minutes to be seated as we got seated we waited another 20 minutes before someone came to take our order they changed our chef three times every single time we had an order the new chef did not know about it or if he did he made it incorrectly for such a big and beautiful place management is lacking customer service is awful read more

Ordered two of the lunch specials, and nothing was fresh or tasty: not the salad with limp lettuce, not the sashimi with sad fish and limp daikon, not the spicy tuna rolls, which tasted like they were trying to disguise the lack of freshness, not the sushi--five kinds of inedible raw fish, and who knows what was wrong with the inedible chicken teriyaki; even the orange garnish looked like it had been recycled. This place was a complete joke and I will never be going back. Our service was extremely slow, the food was bad, and it was expensive. Bug Tuna was not that busy, once me and my 2 other friends ordered it took a long time for the food to arrive and it arrived all spread out. I ordered a dynamite roll and yellowtail sashimi, my sashimi arrived first and I was very dissatisfied with the serving size, a few paper thin slices for 12.50. Then my roll arrived, none of my friends food had come out yet, my roll which was supposed to be baked was barely room temperature at the arrival at the table. I ate my roll very slowly so that hopefully my friend meals would arrive soon, but it took over 20 minutes for any more food to be brought to the table. My friends ordered ramen and udon soup, both soups were way over salted, to the point that that's all you could taste that they couldn't even eat. They refuned us for the soups at the very least but not without giving us dirty looks through the window as we were leaving. Save your money and go to a good sushi place, like Harbor sushi. Big Tuna is overpriced, with gross food and bad service, avoid at all costs. read more

All of the food is great however, the service is horrible there were multiple spots open and they didn't even acknowledge us.

Let me preface this by saying I LOVED big tuna and still have a soft spot in my heart for this place. This is definitely a sauced up roll & sushi spot. One shouldn't come here if you're looking for a sugar fish type of quality. I was looking forward to the grand opening. The promise of a larger bar to accommodate more all you can eat patrons without the typical hour to two hour wait was exciting. Unfortunately it looks like they moved to a bigger restaurant without hiring more staff. My family of six received three rolls (after ordering 6) before the chef disappeared (found out later he went to lunch). After 15 minutes it became apparent no one was going to cover his section of the sushi bar. It wasn't until we flagged the waitress down did we get another chef at the end of the bar come over to us sarcastically asking, "alright who's mad?" At $33 for all you can eat per person I don't think it's unreasonable to expect service. Will be sticking to the Lancaster location for any future visits. read more
