Bomb poke bowl! Had everything I wanted and a good size portion. Service wasn't great but I don't need friendly service when I'm not being waited on

Unfortunately, this was my least favorite place I've had poke. The "krab topping" I got as my premium topping were a few pieces of dried and flavorless fake crab that I've never had before. The fish (salmon and spicy salmon) tasted very warm and there was just so much extra toppings and rice that it ruined the rest of the bowl for me. This is located downtown so street parking is what you'll have to result to.

I have never been to a poke place with soo much variety. It was decent enough poke, but they kinda ruined it with how much sauce they put on. My guy had to scrape off a ton of it so that we could taste the other flavors in the bowl. It's disappointing to see they upcharge you for many of the basic items as it can really add up. It doesn't say on the signs next to the items what will be upcharged and the staff asks you if the upcharge is okay while they are already putting it in your bowl so there's no way to say no even if you wanted to. Some of the "premium" ingredients looked like crap too, like the avocado was brown and they want you to pay an extra $1.50 for it. My guy got the seaweed salad and it was soo slimey and gross, wasted $1.50 on a tiny scoop of it. Not sure how they justify charging soo much for premium toppings when they look and/or taste like crap. I understand why the place was completely empty after eating there. Their only redeeming quality is that there's an old bank vault in there, which makes it a fun place to eat.

Living in SLC, you kind of have to expect to pay for fish since we don't live by the ocean. I don't necessarily mind doing that if the food is good but unfortunately Lemon Shark Poke only drizzles the sauce you choose on top of the rice or salad bowl which basically leaves you eating the ahi tuna with no flavor. It's disappointing to say the least as I'm accustomed to the fish being covered in the sauce I choose. It's fair to mention they do have a pre-marinated ahi that you can order if you prefer the sauce they choose. Eat and learn.

I came and made a to-go order. The male employee took his time to walk behind the counter and begin taking my order. There was no one else inside the restaurant. I ordered two scoops of ingredients with sushi rice. I kid you not, he scooped the rice into the bowl but then proceeded to continuously remove scoop after scoop of rice from the bowl. Like lots of it. I almost wanted to say you could just leave some of that in there. Then he proceeded to give me a scoop of the ingredients but it appeared it was not full scoop, kind of like whatever he got in the first go that ended up on the scoop was what you got. The portion looked pretty sad looking but two scoops is two scoops regardless of how full these scoops were I suppose. The other toppings were adequately added on. Definitely the employee did not appear very happy or that he wanted to be there but I paid my to go order and he bagged up my food. No utensils inside or napkins. I just grabbed my own and put it in the bag. Overall, it tasted pretty good if it wasn't for the whole experience.

Today was my first time coming here and I was honestly pretty impressed by the quality of food and the service. The girl who helped me was named crystal and she let me sample the fish and sauces before putting them in the bowl and gave me great recommendations on what to pair them with. She was super kind and made the experience great. I will definitely be coming back and I recommend! Thank you.

The poke here was incredibly delicious!! Tried the OG Hawaiian while my friend had the Mango poke ( not pictured here) and both were so tasty we finished them both right away! I was also impressed with the " fish bowl" room located inside the restaurant. It used to be a safe from the bank that used to be house there and has now become a cute, private space inside the restaurant! Highly recommend coming here for tasty poke and reasonable prices!

Me and my friend recently grabbed lunch here and we both thoroughly enjoyed it! I ended up ordering the cheapest option which came with one scoop of protein and a choice of other toppings. I will say due to my choice of ordering the cheapest build your own bowl I only got one scoop of crab meat which was instantly lost in the sea of rice. I will say their scoops are a little small so watch out when it comes to planning your bowl. I mostly ended up eating rice and edamame the whole time which was a little lack luster but I believe I learned my lesson on that front. I think you get more bang for your buck with the premade poke bowl options as there's not any up charge for filling it out like the customizable option. Regardless of my lack of protein I still really loved the flavor and options available. The service was fairly quick and the employee at the counter was very lovely! The ambiance of the shop was lovely as well and was quiet on the day we went. Again I honestly think it's worth the upgrade on the build your own as their base to protein ratio is a little whack. You'd probably get more crab meat ordering a regular sushi roll. I do recommend the O.G. Hawaiian as well if you're looking for their pre planned bowls. Again the options here are lovely and I'll definitely be dinning in again in the future.

Fast casual style, but sleepy slow staff. The dining room was full and the line behind me was out the door.

Been waiting for this one to open for a while. You might be waiting a while for your poke (poe-kay) bowl, too. The service staff behind the counter were practically asleep. It must be the reason for such long lines on a Sunday. Things are slooowwwww but the crowds keep coming. Ari at the reigster was the one paying attention, and quick on her feet. I went for the Maui Heat Wave. They serve beer in cans, but I wish they had a Kona Longboard Lager or Big Wave to pair with it. Delicious poke bowl, though. Quality comes through in flavor and large portions.

Friendly quick service really good portions. The customer service was great here. The person helping me told me the different toppings, what was included and even made recommendations. The poke was very fresh and they had so many spicy toppings. I love spicy so this place was great. I definitely recommend to stop by here if you love poke bowls like me.

I spent 17 dollars on a bowl that was pretty much just rice. Better poke places in SLC for way cheaper don't go here.

The menu sign hanged on the wall says that the bowl has 3 fish options, ahi tuna, salmon, yellow tail, but the paper menu that the server uses says that it only has 2 options. I only detected that when I was watching my server scooping fish in my bowl. I asked him about it and he said he'll add a third scoop for me. I think restaurant will need to look into this to reduce confusion. I would say I like salmon most, so maybe next time I'll order the build your bowl option.

Edit: This is upsetting because they're never open when they say they are. I've placed 2 pickup…read moreorders and both have gone through, but then when I arrive the doors are practically blacked out and barred up. The taste is 5/5. The service therefore a 1/5. Changing my review to 2/5 until they gain some consistent open hours. Useless having good food if there's no way to get it. Call ahead if you're going to try it out to make sure they're open. To owners: get open. Stay open. And you'll get your 5 stars. It says something that this has upset me so much, mainly that the seafood is the best poke in town and I can no longer get it. TLDR: If you want the best Poke in the valley, you're going to have to brave Main Street. It's absolutely worth it. Favorite order: Dragon Bowl I grew up by the coast, so believe me when I say I know seafood. The seafood of the hundred new poke places in the valley are so incredibly bland I honestly find it nothing short of offensive. I've tried so many poke places where I was let down again and again with bland fish smothered in a ton of one-note, overpowering sauce that those of a lesser pallet scarf down ignorantly. I kept putting off this location due to the less-than-welcoming exterior and what a mistake that was. This is hands down the tastiest fish and they use what I believe to be the correct sauce ratios. You can absolutely tell this restaurant is run by a family; there's a very casual atmosphere behind the counter, but I enjoy it because it makes me feel like I'm on vacation again. The staff are very warm and even read off a list of ingredients in their sauce to see if my wife would enjoy it with her specific allergies. The portions are still pretty large for having great quality seafood, but perhaps not as large as the flavorless monsters of cheap seafood found at other places. This is a far better bang for your buck than any sushi you can get.
