The vibes at this place for a Thursday night, at least the Thursday I was there were very laid back. Went with coworkers after our happy hour and had a nice time chatting. The music was good and there were not many people in the place. I'm giving four stars for the benefit of doubt. I tried one cocktail and didn't care for it. It was a tequila yuzu cocktail, Lost In El Segundo, that was pretty bitter. It was advertised as a tiki drink but it one hundred percent was not. Honestly, I hope I ever find that drink again. I will try this place again now that I know it exists. Next time a different drink and maybe it will be a little more lively. The staff was friendly and it seems like it will be a good time. I liked it. Just like the other location it has a chill, dive feel to it. They got a good daily happy hour 5-8 with $8 cocktails and wells. Plenty of seating inside with cocktail tables and a few booths. 1 TV by the bar to watch a game. There's also a front patio. The cocktails were good. I liked the Manhattan. No food but there were some street vendors outside doing tacos and pizzas which you could bring inside. As my friend and I were leaving there was a band setting up for some live music. So check their IG to see what kind of events they got going on. Service was good. Friendly staff. There's street parking but you might have to walk a block or two. read more

I have been wanting to go to this spot for a long time and I don't know what possessed us to finally walk the mile to go to it, but we did and I couldn't have been happier. I love a dark diving bar and Bigfoot West does not disappoint. It's very similar to the one in Los Angeles But just closer to my house. Great drinks didn't have the food but wouldn't mind trying. I'm glad this place is local and not completely popularized yet in the mainstream media. It's a lumberjack theme bar with a cozy log cabin atmosphere with animal heads, frontier style photos, and collections of curios including plastered footprint of Bigfoot. I got the 'Killer Bees' happy hour cocktail the bartender was nice enough to make in front of me. Tastes like a margarita with honey. Not bad. The coolest thing is the giant totem pole in my opinion. But there was also a very lively and social bar. They have great house drinks and the bartender can make whatever you want. I had high hopes for Bigfoot West but they were extinguished when I asked what IPAs they had. They had one (non-hazy) and, upon trying a taste, it wasn't a good one. So my old standby is Grey Goose rocks. Simple and almost impossible to mess up. They don't serve Grey Goose. The vibes were right in this funky tavern! The staff were great and there's an awesome selfie mirror (essentially a hi-tech photo booth). Been going to this bar for a while and tonight went for a quick drink. Bartender forgot to give me my card back after i closed it and I didn't realize it. Went before they were supposed to be "closed" to get my card back and instantly the door man was aggressive with me and tried to fight me after I called him out on how he was acting. We visited Bigfoot West this past Saturday night. Great setting with a nice ambience, very inviting, some bigfoot decor, animal props and animal heads on display, a woodsy interior, dim reddish lighting throughout. The place was quite busy nearing midnight, and the crowd was awesome, lots of friendly people, plenty of smiles and conversation, guests enjoying the music. As did I, with 80's house and pop filling the space with good vibes!  The bartenders were super friendly and attentive as well. To drink, I enjoyed the Kook of the Day, a strong cucumber flavor mixed well with the limeade. I really liked this spot, overall. Nice neighborhood bar feel, and positive energy throughout the venue. Bigfoot West is a great cozy local bar near Palms & Culver City. There is tons of seating available inside around a center bar and an outdoor area in the front patio. Let me get more specific: why does Bigfoot West rock? First, they offer happy hour 7-days a week, and that gives them +100 points off the bat. I often get their Old Fashioned, and it's solid (and more importantly, relatively cheap). There's a casual and rustic vibe to the place that makes it great for a first date or a friendly meetup, and I've usually had good street parking karma on weekdays. I will often find a way to stop by if I'm passing through Mar Vista or Culver City, and Bigfoot West has not disappointed me yet! read more
