This place was dope. Celebrated my birthday here, no hassle. Parking is wicked, $20 across the street unless you find some on the street. Drinks were flowing, don't know if they had food. The DJ got a solid 8.9 out of 10. Will be back and hopefully it would be even MORE people. Good vibes ! read more

The Karaoke here on Wednesday nights is great, Chris the KJ gets even the shy people to come up and sing. It's about fun, not how well we sing The down side of the bar itself is there are no televisions for sports or other entertainment. Also, the website needs updating. Came by today right at 6. Door was locked and when I went to open it the lockbox on the handle popped open with the front falling completely open because...it's a broken lockbox ...with the key in it! I did my best to close it back up but it was so janky! I didn't want anyone to steal the key but I was so self conscious that I'd be seen as trying to break in my damn self. I left at 6:07 pm - nobody came. I'm assuming it either opens later with the wrong hours on yelp or someone was late to open. I've been curious about this spot for years and finally decided to try it. Glad it was on my way home. Wouldn't recommend :-/ read more

I am not into karaoke, but my friends are. Went here on Wednesday night and had a blast. The renovations look great. Bar staff were very friendly, drinks were great. We posted up in a swanky booth with a great view of the karaoke area. Met the local icon Disco Debbie, we all had a very LA moment. read more

This was the largest jump scare of my life when I expected to walk into lost & found but instead found a sanitized bullshit artisanal cocktail bar with horrifically tacky Hollywood Blvd decor. Lost and found was one of my favorite dive bars on the planet. When I first moved to LA 10 years ago it was comforting to find a true dive with stale popcorn and cheap drinks like I had come from in the Midwest. To still have the old sign and same name outside is a disgrace. Like how most of the west side is turning, you've stripped all character out of this bar to conform for the tech douchebags with their generic haircuts. To say the renovation of this bar is a tragedy is an understatement. You should have let it stay closed. read more

Ambiance is excellent. Low key place with fun music. Wasn't super crowded which meant great and immediate service. Bathrooms were clean. Cocktails were excellent. Booths to sit and have a conversation were comfortable. Acoustics were great because you could have a conversation 10 feet from the dance floor and actually hear the other person. It's in a strip mall with parking. From the outside, it doesn't look like anything is going on. Had me fooled. This place is solid. read more

They absolutely massacred the best dive bar in Los Angeles. Way to take a historic dive bar and strip it of all its character. If they had been thoughtful about reopening and preserved the integrity of this institution, this could have been one of the coolest spots on the westside. And would have become very popular. Everything that made this place special is gone now. History has value in Los Angeles and instead of playing up that value, they went full cheap Vegas. And destroyed a community hub for the patrons who had been coming here for decades. It's like replacing beautiful original hardwood floors with gray laminate. Or leveling a Victorian house to build a modern condo. Devastatingly heartbreaking and devoid of charm. So sad that the new owners couldn't see what made this bar great. So sad to see the soul of the city chipped away even further. Call it something else because this isn't Lost & Found. read more

So sad what this place has become. Used to be the best dive bar in the area but now it's just some wannabe bougie Vegas bar that you wouldn't remember by the time you walked out the door. Except it's in a strip mall with the same name and logo as a once-cherished neighborhood spot, so you can remember the irony. If you want an expensive cocktail, at least go somewhere where it'll taste good. Never come here. read more

The bartender Alex was spot on. No waiting for a drink... and heavy pour my friend. I watched him as he scoped the crowd to make sure everyone's drinks were full and having a great time. Good music. So we would go for drinks here at the Lost and found . Saw it was closed but then I saw that it's reopening. Walked by door and it was open and went in. Meet a guy that said come in and take a look. Do not go here!! On Saturday, June 7th my friends and I walked into this bar and we thought it was a pretty cool bar so we decided to just hang out for a little till we go to the next. Everything was going well and then we decided to start leaving to the next place. 5 of my friends left already to the next place but myself and my other friends were waiting for an uber. We thought why not order something till we wait. So I ordered it with the bartender who was wearing a black denim shirt (it was cute btw). She literally took SOOO LONG to give it to us and you want to know why? Because she was busy talking to her coworkers and etc. Look I'm all for enjoying and having fun especially if you work at a bar but why is it taking so long to get a drink if it was not busy AT ALL and we had asked if we can get it fast because our uber was on it's way and she agreed. Clearly I was not going to tip for that and trust me I've always been a great tipper. So after we drank our drink, our uber was here and we decided to get some water on our way out. While I was drinking water, the same bartender came up to us and YELLED at my friends and i and said "We work really hard you need to tip us right now!". Um... excuse me, first of all you can't ask someone to tip you and second why would I if my service with you was not okay. I'm sorry but a place whose service is not good and yells at me before leaving when I did nothing is not a place I want to be. RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL that's for sure. read more

Was out on the prowl last night, so stepped in here to see how it had changed. Unremarkable, EXCEPT to say it's the worst sound system I've heard in a 'club' ever. The cheap stereo in my Toyota Corolla has a deeper bottom end. It was all high and mid range. Quickly left and headed down to Main Street SM. read more

I was here for a get together last night, and haven't been to the bar in years. There has been a complete remodel, and the place is now classy, with a well stocked bar, and an amazing DJ. We danced the night away while enjoying terrific drinks. The owners were there and made us feel right at home. It is a neighborhood bar that I wish I had in my part of the city. Can't wait to again meet up with my friends at this terrific location. read more

I was a bartender at the Lost and Found in the early 90's when Andy owned the place. One of the best bars I ever worked at. Loved the regulars and even non-regulars. I went back to visit in 2018 and when I walked in I felt like I traveled back in time. EVERYTHING was the same, except the owner. Andy had passed. When I was in LA for the big USC/UCLA game (yes I'm a trojan) I stopped by the Lost and Found and was completely heartbroken to see it was permanently closed. That bar was a classic and there will never be another one like it. Thank you Lost and Found for such great memories. read more

I can't believe I haven't given this place a review! Let's start off by saying this is a LOCALS dive bar with stiff drinks. Lost & Found is found a little plaza next to a Chase and across the street from Whole Foods. This is 100% a locals dive bar. The bartenders have been working here for years and have developed relationships w the regulars. This doesn't mean you won't be welcomed, but there probably won't be any room at the bar for you and the vibe might feel unwelcoming since everyone else knows each other. That being said, I love this place but I'm a local lol. Gail is the BEST BARTENDER!!! Wooo Gail!!! There are regulars birthdays displayed in the bar and it isn't uncommon for someone to order everyone pizza. If you put a sad or low vibe song on, sometimes gail will skip it. She's just tryna keep the vibe going. I love this bar. I love their whisky sours, I love the people, and I love Gail! #LOCALSONLY read more

I have been here a couple of times in the last month and have to say that I absolutely love it!!! I have been in the neighborhood since the late 90's and find it so refreshing to go to a place that is like a combination of a neighborhood bar and a club! The people who work there are so nice and welcoming and you feel like you have a little bit of Hollywood in a casual bar where I THINK regulars will be hanging out soon enough. I had a great night at Lost & Found. The funny thing about this bar, personally, was that I'd been visiting the neighborhood my whole life because my grandma lived a few blocks a way. I'd been to this shopping center for years, going to the Blockbuster (remember those!?) or waiting for the bus across the street to get to summer school at UCLA. I'd been by Lost & Found, unable to go in, for so long. Years later I'd moved to LA and had totally forgotten about Lost & Found (didn't take the bus anymore and Blockbuster was long gone), when a friend asked if I'd heard of it and wanted to go. So I went, worried that years of mystique would have set my expectations too high. But no, in the years since I'd gained an appreciation for dive bars with heavy pours, and Lost & Found was just that type of establishment. I loved every moment of it. I loved the other patrons, the awesome bartender, the dingy lights, the fresh watermelon juice with vodka drink. Everything about it was excellent. Five stars for being just as cool as I imagined it would be when I stared at it, unable to go in, all those years ago. read more

Hole in the wall inside the middle of a shopping center. Drinks are cheap and so are the furnishings. Guests are interesting enough with just as interesting of a bartender. The options for decent whiskeys, vodka, gin, scotch...and hell all the liquor for that matter are very slim in choices. The beer selection is only bottled of uninspiring selections. The bathroom almost made me puke with the smell. The stall door is literally rotting away, barely hanging on by a thread of molded piss rotted wood. It's worth a challenge to come here but I won't be back read more

The bartender showed me a menu which I could order food that will be delivered from The Brixton. Scan the QR code to order. "Sorry, we aren't accepting orders at the moment..." I guess I could finish my beer, pay my tab and go searching for something good to eat. She didn't know the Wi-Fi password neither because they changed the password. Why broadcast the guest Wi-Fi if you aren't going to make it available? There was no organizer for the meetup event. With only a handful of people here, do I want to wait for the karaoke session? It's time to go eat somewhere else.

Music is not loud and they have couches and booth if bar table if not your thing, you don't have to yell or pretend you hear everything to hold a conversation here (lol). ** Keep in mind 20% gratuity is automatically included in bill, it's my first time here. But I think I've other spots I'd prefer to be in, even at Santa Monica. Wouldn't be self-motivated to come back because there are better places that specialises mixology, and there are also better upscale hotel bars to be at. But if you're around the area it's a great intimate bar for date night that's not overly pricey. Wouldn't travel all the way to here just for this (if you know what I mean).

The service on the other hand was not particularly good. Our waitress came off as slightly standoffish when asked about gluten free options and failed to refill our water cups multiple times throughout the meal, to the point my partner had to get up and do it herself. The sneaky 4% service charge automatically added to the bill also left a bad taste in my mouth. I have always been of the mind that the responsibility of compensating staff adequately falls on the business, not the public, and any extra tip is for good service and should remain optional by the customer, especially when they charge this much for basic entrees. Our bill came out to over $100 for two people (2 dishes, 1 shared appetizer, no drinks besides water) for breakfast. Overall I'd give this place 3.5 stars, worth checking out, but probably not worth frequenting often. Ambiance is an 8.5/10, the food was about a 7/10, the value was a 6/10, and the service was a 5/10. The food was solid, the ambiance was nice, the value is average to below average, and the service could use a little work. That being said, it's a nice place worth checking out, just make sure you ask to have that 4% charge removed from your bill, and tip accordingly.

We were able to easily get a reservation about 2 weeks ahead for a Friday night dinner. The server told us they do lunch specials which are sets of their handrolls, but for dinner you need to order a la carte. I think based off this information, I would opt for lunch next time but almost everything we ordered was amazing. What we ordered: Small Plates: -Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice: One of my favorite tuna crispy rices I've had. The rice was crispy even after sitting at the table for some time. Had a nice brush of soy glaze on exterior which gave it extra flavor. I love that their rice had some chew after the initial crunchy bite. It wasn't hard and dry like other spots. Generous amount of spicy tuna. Topped w/avo and a tiny sliver of jalapeno. Comes as 2 pieces per order but they are a bit larger than other spots so you could easily cut them in half for optimal sharing. -Hikari-Don: The star of the show. Delicious. I am considering coming back and just ordering one for myself as the meal. Has scallop, shrimp, tuna, uni, ikura, and small bits of yellow radish for texture. We noticed the nori served with this dish is a thinner sheet that's the seasoned kind with probably sesame/salt as opposed to the plain sheets served with the sonmari handrolls. We had to ask for more which was an annoying $2 charge because the sheets are also cut smaller than the handrolls so you can't fit much into one. This bowl alone also costs $65 so it is hefty but very INDULGENT. Hand Rolls (Sonmari): -Scallop: Supple, fresh. Yummy, would order this again. -Seared Salmon: My friends and I agreed this might have been our favorite handroll. It was simple but done well. Fatty salmon, was not over-torched. Nice char flavor. -C.U.T (Caviar, Uni, Tuna): Decadent. Thick cut of tuna. Shiso leaf is not my cup of tea so I had to remove it but still a real treat if you're will to splurge $25 on one handroll. Otherwise, I would say this is skippable if you're already getting other high-ticket items. -Saewoo-Jang: Soy-marinated shrimp. My friend and I both agreed we would not order this one again. The flavor was very one-noted. It really only had a pronounced kimchi flavor. The flesh was also on the tough side and difficult to get a clean bite (I had to yank on the shrimp). We wished the shrimp was as soft and plush as the ones in the hikari-don. We don't recommend this one. Cocktail: -Citrus Splash: Sweet but not overwhelming. Good acidity and fragrant rosemary. Would order this again. Portion size: I think if you eat an average/small amount and were planning to get the Hikari-don to share, I would start with 2 handrolls and share a small plate before splitting the hikari-don with 1-2 other people. I ate 4 handrolls and 1 spicy tuna crispy rice before eating a large chunk of the hikari-don and was pretty full by the end so do keep that in mind; the handrolls can be filling from all the rice and plump size. The restaurant and parking: The restaurant has nice ambiance with a main medium-sized room and bar seating, and a separate room closer to the entrance where reserved seating is. Service was attentive and prompt. They provide a wet nap at the beginning before you eat. The prices are on the higher end but I would go here for a special occasion. The restaurant faces Sunset and I believe they offer valet in the front but I easily found free street parking on a Friday night next to the elementary school on the right turn before you approach the restaurant. Overall: A delicious dinner! Would come back for a nice occasion

The 1970s' decor is essentially unchanged since the doors opened circa '71. The only immediate evidence that you are actually still in the 21st century is the high tech jukebox on the wall and the numerous iphones set on the bar. The bartenders are all pleasant, efficient and, perhaps just as importantly, they all tend to pour just a bit "heavy," making well drinks a real bargain. Three or four nights per week, Gail serves as the master of ceremonies, programming upbeat music and keeping the large group of regulars and smattering of newbies smilin' and drinkin'. Best dive bar in LA. This place is always a great spot for a VERY affordable cocktail and good music. The jukebox is great and the staff are extremely friendly. Plus, they make the strongest drinks in town for $4-5/drink. When you walk in the place seems a bit run down, but it is part of its charm. There is also a pool table. I have been to L&F probably 50 times over the years and it never dissapoints. Either before going out or late night or just to catch up with a friend, L&F is something special. One more thing... Coming here after a long trip from South America and the East Coast, the president from one of our sister company flew us in his private plane to Santa Monica Airport. We gathered our belongings and then made our way to a local drinking hole called the Lost and Found. Seeing that this place is small, I can see why its called just that. I've been a handful of times and once, it was an awesome experience, with some throwback music played by the DJ while the crowd danced and sipped on drinks, but every other time is was just weird or overcrowded. It's not a very big place so once it starts to get busy, it gets packed pretty quickly and it's hard to reach the bar at that point. Drinks are fine, service is fine, but the experience is very dependent on the particular night you come here.

Located in the basement of Townhouse in Venice, the Del Monte Speakeasy has been a hidden hideout since 1915. During Prohibition, Townhouse secretly operated the space located underneath a grocery store that served illegal hooch smuggled from the former Abbot Kinney Pier through underground tunnels. Today, the hooch is done, replaced instead with fancy-pants handcrafted cocktails, as well as live entertainment including local bands, comedy, jazz and vaudeville acts.

The next day i come back they did not let me in anymore, he said service animal, dogs only allowed on the patio. Well, this place should hire security and manager that a service dog is allowed inside and anywhere in public spaces by law. I have been to other speakeasy in orange county and las vegas, they did let me in. This place is just disappointing. The guy in the picture does not know what service animals are for people with disabilities. Places like this should educate their employees.

If he is the bartender on my next visit, I will probably leave.
