We came to The Rooftop in Beverly Hills with a party of six, and my goodness we ordered so much food. Overall, I'd give this place four stars. The ambiance is beautiful, and the service FANTASTIC. Our server was an absolute gem, I am so sad I forgot it. The Roofop is the kind of spot that feels lively but still relaxed enough to enjoy a long dinner with friends. The food was good, though I've definitely had better for the price. Nothing was bad at all, just not quite as memorable as I expected. The drinks, however, were fantastic. I'm not much of a drinker, but I ordered a martini and it was absolutely delicious and perfectly made. Also, the coffee I happened to order a latte and no joke one of the top coffees I had. Lots of nice photo spots. I would love to come during the day and try their brunch. Between the vibe, the attentive service, and the great cocktails, we had a really fun night. I'd come back again, especially for drinks and the atmosphere.

HAD AN AMAZING TIME , at this beautiful place. Came for the views and aesthetics but left knowing I'm also coming back for the good service and delicious food. We got : grilled Octopus , AHI TUNA POKE BOWL , and red Thai coconut curry. Everyone that worked there was so kind and relaxed I loved the vibe ! The view did not disappoint, but the food and service sure did. I organized a group (6) dinner on a Saturday night based on a decent lunch experience a few years ago. My guests were disappointed and I felt embarrassed. We were seated shortly after our reservation time. But once seated, no one came to greet us or asked if we needed anything ! We waited a long time (20 minutes at least) before a waitress showed up. She looked very stressed (I saw her rushing back and forth all night so I don't blame her at all) ; she quickly answered our questions and took our order. We first ordered a few cocktails, plus the bread and a guacamole for appetizers. Only four half pieces came with the bread and there were six of us - if I were the waiter I would have asked... or just add a couple more pieces. But the disappointment wasn't just the quantity- the bread was dry and hard! And the fact that it took so long - like 20 minute, to arrive. The guacamole was great - I'd recommend it for a large group. I recommended their lobster burger to my friends and two of them ordered it. Another two got the salmon. It was another 30 minutes before the food came. But both those two dishes seemed good - my guests confirmed. A vegan friend had a hard time finding something she could eat - there was the Greek salad (which was just okay) and the steak salad with tofu instead of beef. She did not eat much. My Double Burger was a disaster - the buns were so soggy that they fell apart on me. I had to drop the burger on the plate and eat it with fork. I have not been to a high end (about $100 per person here) restaurant with such poor service! Out of curiosity I looked around and no workers were smiling... the two assistants who poured water and collected dishes didn't seem happy; our waitress seemed stressed; and when we asked for a box, they didn't offer to box the food for us - they just handed us a box and left. Based on our experience this time, I think perhaps this restaurant should be in Restaurant : Impossible, or some other restaurant rescue show. All that said, this is, after all, the Waldorf. The passage from the entrance to the restaurant is beautiful! Just make sure you find the right elevator, which is to the right of the entrance. And the walkway leading to the restaurant has spectacular reviews of Beverly Hills, hence a great photo spot. Parking is valet only and at this writing is $22 if you tell them you went to the restaurant. Overall, a mixed experience with some pleasant views that disappointing service and food quality.

I've been twice, once with work and once for a birthday. Neither times was I impressed with the food. The view is really nice though, which I think is the main selling point of the restaurant. Some of the dishes I've tried: Shrimp pad Thai: do not get. It is basically a pasta (not your typical rice noodles) served with a "pad Thai" sauce, which also was a miss. Grilled octopus: get. One of the few dishes that I made sure to order on both my visits. Octopus is hard to cook right. They did an OK job, and im a big fan of octopus. Beef burger: not bad. Only get it if you are craving a burger. Lobster burger: it's just okay.. too pricey for what it actually tastes like. Hamachi: hard to miss Sashimi: hard to miss. Fish was fresh Tuna poke bowl: not much flavor. Too much rice. Shrimp lettuce wrap: I wish it wasn't breaded shrimp and just cooked instead. Dessert: maybe the best part of the menu. Get the Dubai chocolate and key lime pie. Valet parking available and they validate (not fully, you'll pay $15-$20). They are really strict about their time limit. The same man came to tell us our time was up on both my visits. I would have understood if I saw a line of people waiting but the place wasn't even completely full.

Located on top of the Waldorf Astoria, the views are absolutely beautiful and it's must go to location even for locals. The food on the other hand was a major disappointment for me and my guests. Everything seemed to lack flavor and just didn't taste good to us. Here's what we ordered... Kumamoto oysters: This was the best thing I ate Guacamole: Came with a few taro chips and vegetables (Guac was okay, but it just didn't go well with taro chips and veggies) Grilled Octopus: rubbery, not fresh Chicken schnitzel: No flavor whatsoever Lobster burger: Bland Red Thai Coconut curry: my guest said it was fine Service was great. Our waiter was attentive. I would come here again with overseas guests because the views are stunning. I will just order drinks and go somewhere else for dinner.

Lobster burger was epic ! No fillers and worth every dollar! Favorite item on the menu

Incredible experience all around. I had the lobster burger--no filler, all flavor, thick and juicy on a perfect brioche bun. The truffle fries were a dream. My daughter and mom loved their chicken shawarma in pita pockets, stuffed to the brim and shared happily. Service was warm and attentive. The view was stunning and definitely a great photo op--grab a spot by the edge for the best skyline vibes. 9/10 recommend.

We came here for a birthday dinner for our friend. The view was breathtaking, ambience was cozy and elevated. Staff was warm and caring, however we didn't get a birthday candle with our dessert (to be fair we didn't ask for it but most places offer it when they know there's a birthday, a little entitled of us but still heartbreaking). Overall great experience would come back here for a date night to get the black pepper beef stir fry or to have a dessert with tea. Either way I would dress up for nice pictures and bring a jacket (the staff provides a blanket if you don't have a jacket, but can be windy). So refreshing to go to a restaurant in LA that is not just views but also quality! This place is now a classic to me!

Came here yesterday to celebrate my birthday. It was very busy for a Thursday. We arrived early to our reservation but were told they were backed up and we'd have to wait. Understandable but disappointing they couldn't accommodate. My boyfriend and I both ordered smash burgers. Our waiter told us it included lettuce and tomato, and when the burgers came, they were nowhere to be found. When we brought up the issue, the waiter was VERY defensive and denied ever saying it. Very weird considering lettuce and tomato are very low on the list of things that would make anyone upset. Anyway, we had some back and forth - which isn't what I expect at this kind of restaurant. I've been here dozens of times and the service is hit or miss but this interaction was very, very strange. Great views, good food, but service was just ok.

I love Waldorf rooftop, its my favorite Sunday brunch place. One of the best view in the entire los angeles, Their dishes are so yummy and flavorful, The service is pretty good however they can be slow at time.

Boujee rooftop bar with a beautiful view of LA!   I visited this bar on a Saturday night, so it was nice seeing all of LA's lights from the top floor. The rooftop bar was spacious with bar and table seating. It was clean and there were heaters which provided great warmth since the bar area was located outdoors. The bathrooms were also nice.   I ordered the lychee raspberry cocktail and it was pretty good! It was fruity and not too strong or weak with alcohol. I wish the fruit skewer on top was fresher though.   Our server was pretty friendly, but it did feel rushed since they were trying to close the bar soon when we arrived.   Overall, a good experience here and I would like to come back during the day and to try their foods.

A sunset spectacle worth the ascent SHOUTOUT to my server, RIESE! It's difficult to separate The Rooftop at the Waldorf from its panoramic 360-degree views, nor should you try. The experience is a masterclass in ambiance, an outdoor garden oasis that offers a breathtaking spectacle of Beverly Hills as day turns to night. The cuisine, a thoughtful fusion of Asian and Californian flavors, matches the scenery. A highlight was the Crispy Tuna Rice--a flawless balance of flavor and texture that's become a crave-worthy signature. The beverages, crafted with precision and creativity, are a worthy companion to the view. Service, as one would expect from a Waldorf property, was impeccable. The team operates with a polished efficiency that adds to the effortless sense of luxury. Yes, you pay a premium for the setting, but it's not a view tax; it's the cost of an unforgettable evening where the food, drinks, and vista all perform in perfect harmony. Pro tip: Reserve an "edge table" well in advance to fully capitalize on the sunset views.

There's no way the Rooftop would be less than five stars and five star service! My boyfriend and I went twice in 2024 and both experiences were like night and day because, we went once during a summer's day and once during a winter's night. Reservations are easily available through Opentable and parking is exclusively valet. Take the elevator to the top and go nuts looking at that view! Walk by that pool and Cabana...and get seated with a lovely view. For our daytime meal, he got a keto style salmon salad and I enjoyed my exquisite Benedict. Coffee and drinks were amazing, as was the service. For our nighttime double date, we noshed on some Guacamole with plantains before our meals. He had the Chicken Katsu as I got the Chicken Shwarma - served in pita breads presented like tacos! They were a bit dry, but I still enjoyed them. Last were sorbets which are amazing and don't disappoint! Try to make room for these before you go. And I know, I'll be back again!

This is actually my favorite place in Los Angeles as being somewhat of a native and being a sucker for a view and good food the two don't generally go together. It is the place that I can't wait to take out of town or family and friends. I do admire its view and the way that you can see so many different sides of Los Angeles. It makes me feel like I'm in heaven in heaven with the view and the food. I generally get the lobster burger, which is so juicy and flavorful and something different than I've ever had as I am a big fan of seafood my daughter elected for the mini burgers, which were so cute they were on this kids plate. LA is known for its weather and it's nice to be able to take in the ambience with excellent weather. There is a feeling that I felt back in the paparazzi days of Los Angeles and I get that feeling on that rooftop. Their hotel itself a huge masterpiece. I'm so happy to have the opportunity to dine and enjoy the city I love so much

Ask the Community - The Rooftop

Do they have music on the Rooftop on Sundays?

    Yes, but no Live Band/DJ.

Is there a music playing during brunch ? ? Live dj?

No Live Music for sure - I do not recall if there was any music.

Can you just walk in without reservations?

You can! There's bar seating but it may take some time to grab a spot depending upon how busy. It's not impossible but I recommend a reservation

What would be recommend to wear ? Is a nice tight dress and some jeans with a nice top and hat okay?

Yes. I have seen many nice tight dresses, and men with jeans and hats. Enjoy the views and the great drinks.

Is there a $50/person minimum for brunch and dinner?

I haven't been there for dinner but there is no minimum $/person for brunch.

    Are dogs allowed?

We brought our dogs, although we were guests of the hotel--not sure if policy differs for non-guests.

You guy open on Sunday for outdoor dining?

Yes, they are open on Sundays for outdoor dining.

How are they operating during COVID?

Based on my visit, they had great safety protocols. Social distance was enforced, masks were required to enter, staff were wearing masks and face shields, tables were sanitized, and of course it being outdoor helps.

How do I make a reservation for a birthday celebration of a big party for this weekend?

    Try opentable

Do you have to be 21 to go to this restaurant?

No. We took our 8 year old with us for brunch here.

    How much is parking?

A lot, even with validation I think it was $15-20. If you don't mind walking, I would park in the Beverly Hill public parking meters in the structure behind Da Pasquale (a great Italian restaurant that tastes much better than the rooftop but…

    Is there a dress code?

    Nope

I have read conflicting info on tables, are the tables only reserved for Hotel guests?

We weren't guests and just called ahead for a reservation.

Do they have the bottomless mimosas?

    I don't think so

Considering bringing my 90-year-old aunt for her birthday but concerned that it might be a bit too cold for her in the evening. I'm sure you have heaters, but still... She is a bit frail.…

I would not recommend this location in the evening for a 90 year old , it can get windy and cold

How can i do parking?? Easy?

Yep. Valet at the hotel. I think it's $10 or $20

Is a reservation needed for a table of 2 on a Tuesday night?

Reservations technically aren't needed any day as they do take walk-in people, but it is better to be safe than sorry. The crowds aren't very predictable on any day and I definitely always make reservations

    What is the corkage fee?

$65 per 750 mL bottle with a maximum of 2 bottles

Can I order food other then appetizers at the bar/lounge area?

Yes.. we ate dinner at the lounge area since they didn't have a table!

After driving by several times, I finally had the opportunity to stop on in. Parking is metered street, and I was lucky to find a spot right across the way around 10:30a during the week. As you walk in, the host stand is at the end and there is seating to your left. My friend was already seated here, so I just walked on in to table. A nice waitress came over shortly thereafter, and I ordered a cocoa with oatmilk (small). This 'small' was served in a glass, whereas a large would be in a typical mug you would expect. As for the drink, it was pretty good. As we caught up, I perused the menu and decided on a side of tater tots and for the first time in my life, I ordered banana bread which I was told was the closest thing to a breakfast pastry on their menu, while he went with a chickpea scramble (no bread). I don't feel it took too long for the food to arrive since we were catching up and enjoying our drinks. The restaurant was getting busier around this time as well. The banana bread had Maldon sea salt and honeycomb butter. This wasn't bad at all; I just never really had this before but I did finish it (got the remainder of it to go for later). The tater tots were just tater tots, nothing special but a larger portion which would be great for sharing alongside a side of ketchup. We walked in expecting a quiet lunch and quickly realized the World Cup was on. The screening room was packed with members watching the match, and it was fun seeing everyone so invested in the game. Since we wanted to catch up, we headed to the garden patio instead. There were plenty of people enjoying lunch outside, though it never felt loud. We never had to raise our voices to hear each other, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the afternoon. Our server was fantastic. She checked on us throughout the meal, kept our drinks refreshed, and always seemed to know when to stop by and when to give us space. We never felt rushed, which made the afternoon even more enjoyable. We started with the calamari to share. I ordered the Faroe Island king salmon with sautéed spinach and chimichurri, and my friend had the chopped salad. The salmon had a beautiful sear and was cooked perfectly, while the chimichurri added just the right amount of brightness. We each ordered the cucumber cocktail, mine with vodka and his with gin. It was crisp, refreshing, and exactly what I wanted on such a hot afternoon. It paired especially well with the salmon. One detail I really appreciate about Soho House is its no-photo policy. After spending a few hours there, it made perfect sense. Around us, people were catching up with friends, having meetings, enjoying lunch, or watching the match without phones constantly pointed around the room. It made the entire space feel more relaxed, and I found myself appreciating being somewhere that encouraged people to be present with each other. Nothing felt forced or overly formal. We were able to settle in, enjoy a great meal, and spend a few hours catching up without ever feeling like our table was needed for the next reservation. By the time we left, I completely understood why so many people enjoy being members. One last detail worth mentioning is valet. The attendants were friendly, professional, and efficient. It's a small touch, but it made arriving and leaving effortless.

The views are beautiful, and I appreciated the unique combination of dishes on the menu. The food itself was good. Unfortunately, the service didn't meet the same standard, which is why I'm giving it three stars. Our server was friendly, but seemed a bit overwhelmed or distracted. I ordered one of the juices from the menu along with the rest of our drinks, but it didn't arrive until about 30-45 minutes later--only after I had asked about it three separate times, and after our appetizers had already come out. If it wasn't available or there was a delay, I would've appreciated being told instead of having to keep asking. There was also an issue with my entrée. I ordered a sushi roll but was served yellowtail sashimi instead. During ordering, the server had to repeatedly check the menu for the names of the dishes, but since he confirmed our order before leaving the table, I didn't expect there to be any confusion. It was unfortunate because the restaurant has a lot going for it. As someone who has worked as a fine dining server in the same area, I understand that mistakes happen, but communication and attention to detail are essential. With better service, this could have easily been a much stronger experience.

The service here is excellent and everything ran smoothly with zero issues. The bread and butter here is excellent while waiting for your meal. I had the beef stroganoff, which is a comfort dish for me. It's hearty and delicious so I couldn't wait to try this dish. I was certainly surprised because I was not expecting it to be incredibly flavorful. It was so good I couldn't stop eating it. Highly recommended! We ended our meal with the devil's advocate flourless chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream, which was delicious for being flourless. What a perfect way to end a tasty meal. My only complaint is the parking because we didn't know where we could park. We ended up getting a ticket because we thought we could park nearby. Definitely recommend asking where to park to avoid a ticket. Overall, we very much enjoyed our dining experience and will certainly be back to try other menu items.

Overall, I'd give 3.5 stars. Granville is a chain restaurant, similar to the likes of Olive garden,…read moreChilies, etc, but probably a tad more upscale in terms of the overall decor and vibe. Service was fine, but nothing special. We were greeted, seated and the waitress took our orders. Once the food arrived, our waitress barely came by again except towards the end to drop off our check. Other staff did come by to clear our empty plates from the table, so that was nice. We did notice that they only provided 1 serving spoon for all of our dishes. Would've liked a serving utensil with each dish to minimize cross-contamination and mixing of flavors. Throughout our dining, there were flies and small bugs flying around, which was off-putting and annoying as we had to keep swatting them away from landing on our food. 1. Farmhouse Beet Salad (5/5) It's a good thing this was the 1st dish to arrive at our table as it left a good 1st impression. The roasted organic beets were fresh and had that earthy-tone to it. Dressed with their lemon-oregano vinaigrette, feta, arugula, and candied pecans. OMG, those candied pecans were heavenly. It's crunchy and toasted to perfection. the candied flavor of it was addictingly delicious. If they have a menu item of candied pecans, I'll order it any day. 2. Trio Taco (2.5/5) You can choose between chicken, steak, shrimp, plant-based chicken, or jackfruit. We opted for steak. The steak was fine, but for BBQ sauce used was just a dish killer. They need to rethink the choice of sauce used in these tacos. Also, not a fan of corn tortilla. Wish they gave a choice between corn and flour tortilla. 3. Artisan Bread & Butter (5/5) Their sourdough bread sliced, grilled and brushed generously with garlic olive oil. Severed with a side of whipped duckfat butter. I've never had duck fat butter before, so this was a pleasant experience to try. Not to worry, there's no duck flavor at all. It's almost like cream cheese but lighter and airer. 4. Ahi Filet (1.5/5) Sesame-crusted ahi with a side wasabi aioli. The ahi was so-so; definitely, not the freshest and there's no "melt-in-your mouth" joy. The wasabi aioli sauce was good though. There is a subtle spice kick from the wasabi. It's served with a side of soba noodles that was gingery and peanuty in flavor. Unfortunately, the noodles were overcooked as they stuck to each other in clumps. 5. Bacon & Blue Burger (4.5/5) Quite a satisfying burger consisting of wagyu beef, duroc bacon, aged blue cheese, caramelized onions, and arugula. It's juicy, meaty, slightly tangy from the horseradish aioli and sweet from the port wine reduction. The brioche bun was pleasantly soft. 6. Thai Ginger Salad (3/5) This salad consists of romaine lettuce as the base. It is dressed with Thai sesame dressing, which was underwhelming. The toppings for this salad include fresh mango cubes, slaw, slices of avocado, fresh peanut bits, tomato and soba noodles. It's not a bad salad, but for the price, I do not think it is worth it. 7. Superfood Longevity Salad (4/5) A salad consisting of mixed greens (lacinato kale and spring mix) with a variety of rich, nutritious toppings (organic beets, quinoa, pomegranate, radish, blueberries, almonds, dried Bing cherries, and pepitas). The dressing is a sherry vinaigrette that's tangy, creamy and light. All the ingredients came together well. If you are looking for a hearty salad, this is for you. 8. Hibiscus Rosé (4/5) Sparkling rosé with hibiscus flavor infused with grapefruit skin to give it a bit of citrus note and topped off with a micro flower to add a special touch of decor to the drink. In summary, the food looks better than it actually tastes. Come here if you want to eat out with a large party for celebration, but otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it for a special night out as the price does not justify the experience.

Funny, because before…read moreI read this, my immediate reaction when I walked in the door this weekend was that it reminded me of some of the breezy upscale restaurants I grew up with at the Jersey Shore. And, Miami. And even at the marinas in San Diego, San Francisco, and Sausalito. The Henry is very large and open, yet, with all the light streaming in, the soft blues and greys keep the atmosphere sophisticated, subdued, and cool. You immediately feel the calm and these days, especially in the city, we can use a good deal of decompressing. It was almost an audible "aaaahhhhh" that my brain whispered when we sat down at our roomy booth. We were there for brunch and the menu was wonderful for me, a lifelong vegetarian. There were multiple items I wanted to try but I usually stick to an appetizer, main, dessert, and beverage. I am not a big eater at one sitting. Between us, everything we ordered was superb. The descriptions were pretty familiar, but the tastes were elevated. And the presentations were unique too -- see my photos. Michael, our server, was efficient but warm and friendly too. That makes such a difference. From beginning to end he took care of us, checking occasionally to get our enthusiastic thumbs-up, and then bringing us sturdy containers and a roomy thick shopping bag to take home the leftovers. We stuffed ourselves but still took home half of the generous portions we were given. The tab was beyond reasonable too, especially for Beverly Hills! Nice music -- not too loud, just enough to give a cheerful vibe in the background; clean appointments; quality furnishings; giant spotless windows; pretty wallcoverings; comfortable seating -- everything was just right, Goldilocks-worthy. This is the kind of place to return to again and again. Garage parking at the complex for $15 was so easy, clean surroundings in the neighborhood with some famous retail nearby for browsing, just 40 minutes from home. IOW, perfect!

The atmosphere is really beautiful, and the service was wonderful, but the food is just way too expensive for what it is. I met up with my friend here for lunch on a Monday, and we had no problem getting a table, it wasn't too busy, and I was able to find street parking about a block down. Or you can pay $15 for the lot that's right behind it. I got the Fish Tacos and it was $30 for 2 sad little tacos and a side of quinoa rice. My friend got the harvest salad, added chicken, and a coke. For all that it was almost an $80 lunch. Insane pricing. This place is cute but not $80 cute.
