I have never been to this restaurant but I did enjoy some delicious catered food from here. I mean it was off the hook. There was some tender brisket, chicken wings, fall off the bone ribs, collard greens, corn bread, and seasoned corn on the cob. Their mac and cheese was so yummy. I really enjoyed everything and everyone enjoyed the food. Everything was cooked so well. It was so good that I even took a plate to go before I left the party. Located at Mass Moca, Bigg Daddy's Philly Steak House is takeout eatery with outside takeout windows offering a variety of cheese steak subs, hoagies, wraps, burgers, BBQ platters, chicken wings, tenders, fried foods and salads. The prices are moderate here and most cheese steak subs are $15 plus tax, similar pricing to Pat's and Geno's in Philly. They also offer online ordering and pickup. I stopped by Bigg Daddy's Philly Steak House on a Friday evening and the place was extremely busy with a line to the order windows. The staff in the grill area were cranking out orders, though some people had waited awhile for their food. There was also a well known food supply truck (S-s-o) parked in front of the place on Marshall Street unloading boxes of frozen foods for this eatery. Seeing the busy line, I placed an order online for The Tourist ($15 plus tax), but I did not order fries since the combo deal ($1 more for fries) somehow disappeared from the online ordering screen. After confirming my online order, the website indicated my order would be ready in 25 minutes, which seemed too long. I approached the takeout window showing staff my order confirmation and the staff had my The Tourist cheesesteak sub ready in 8 minutes. Before eating my cheesesteak sub and since fries here were $5 and cheese fries were $8, I decided to save some money and head over to McDonald's afterwards for "Free Fryday (Medium Fries)" and a large Coke for $1 on the McDonald's app to complete my meal. The Tourist (10" sub) was very greasy (like in Philly) loaded with grilled shaved steak, peppers, onions, and cheese wiz (not smothered overflowing like in Philly) on a soft thick sub roll. We were desperate for a place to eat dinner on a Monday night in mid-May, and this seemed to be the only place serving food in the Mass Moca area. We both had burgers, which were way better than I anticipated and a super generous portion. It's all counter service with some outdoor seating, or you can bring your food into the brewery across the street (Bright Ideas Brewing) and enjoy it with a beer. We discovered that on Monday nights the two businesses pair up to offer a deal, discounting burgers with the price of a beer. Order your beer first, to take advantage of it. Not sure I would return if other restaurants in the area were open, but it is decent enough for what it is. I understand everyone is busy but the person at the counter said she told me it would be a 30 minute wait for a falafel sandwich and order of fries. She never said that! 40 minutes later when I went up a second time she and another worker berrated me saying I'm sorry we're short staffed and you had to wait in a really sarcastic tone. I know people ahead of us had a large order and waited an hour. If she had told me it would be a half hour I would have made a better choice. Not worth the wait or the mean tone. I was so excited to try the barbeque at Bigg Daddys Philly Strak House for my birthday. I was incredibly disappointed. I got the brisket platter and the brisket was tough and loaded with little bones! The sides weren't bad. We got 4 dinners to go, which they packed into one brown paper bag, that was torn when my husband picked up the food. It leaked and tore before we got it in the house. Went there on 08/17/23 in-between raindrops while camping at Savoy. The server was miserable and she acted as if she didn't want to be there. We ordered the brisket bbq platter and fries, and an order of buffalo wings. All were very good, but the side order of coleslaw had a little hint of "soapy" taste. Wouldn't clammer to get back anytime soon, but would order again if no other alternative. read more

I have to say this is the swiftest delivery I have ever experienced, including the one time I ordered coffee for delivery. I will also say I would have been happy to wait another 10 minutes or so to ensure the fries were crispy- they were floppy and just thawed, no golden exciting goodness to be had. Falafel burger was good, tzatziki sauce is delicious, chopped cucumbers on the burger bun were hard to eat, and the large bun means there was too much bread to go along with the chickpea mash. I will go with the falafel wrap next time. This was very filling. Chef salad was a very nice salad, meats and cheese were cut up bite size, veggies were nicely cut. It's decent steak and cheese pulled pork could be better but not bad.... Wish parking could be better

The barbecue isn't. We tried the 1/2 rack and the brisket. Both were tender and slow cooked, but there was no smoker involved. My guess is braised. And the brisket wasn't either. Seemed to be chuck roast. It wasn't brisket. read more

I am from the south and know that bbq in New England isn't gonna be great, but this is a shame.
