I've had my eye on this coffee shop for months! I signed up for their rewards and the next day I received a free coffee in my email! Since then I've been back 3 times in less then a week! The workers are super friendly and I love the vibe of the place. They also have a mini outdoor patio so once it get warms I can't wait to use it! Also, on Wednesdays all lattes are 3$ so you already know how I'm starting every Wednesday morning from now on!

Great way to support local! Ask about the secret menu at this location - created by a barista who's been there for 6 years. My favorite is the barracuda latte! Red Bull mock tails are also great if you're bot in the mood for coffee. Always quick, friendly service. Join the text club at this location for extra savings!

I rank Biggby along with Starbucks and Caribou--inoffensive, very standard coffee stores with a regimented, chain-like feel. I believe Biggby is a Michigan company, however, which is always a plus. Aesthetically and environmentally, this particular location is less-than-ideal for me--it's in a strip mall near the very busy intersection of W Stadium and Jackson. The energy is just a little too flat and harried at the same time. However... This place just opened recently so it's very clean and very bright-feeling. The also have a nice little brick patio on the side that is actually shaded by trees, so you could almost feel like you weren't sitting next to a 5 lane road. I was treated to a very warm and friendly greeting when I came inside and was surprised by how roomy the place is and how many tables and chairs are available--the small store front is deceiving! The music was bland, top 40 fare from the early aughts--fairly easy to ignore if you're reading or studying, but also annoying at times. I'd much prefer jazz or classical or something that sank into the background more. This would be a great place to study off campus and it'll be interesting to see how quickly it catches on with students who live on the west side of town and don't feel like braving the downtown crowds. My iced coffee was perfectly acceptable and I had a pleasant time taking a break from my day and reading here for half an hour on a rainy Monday afternoon. I say check it out!

Biggby is located exactly where I need it to be. Located just far enough away from campus to avoid traffic and not be constantly crowded, this is my go to chain coffee place while in AA. This Biggby is a good post-football game pit stop. The inside is always clean, the self-service coffee stations are always stocked, and the service is usually pretty good. The reason for only an okay review? I can only rate a chain coffee spot so high, sorry guys, the 4 and 5 stars are reserved for the locals! It is a good place to get your caffeine fix though.

Walked in at 545 and was told they usually don't upend until 600 but they served me anyway! So nice! Thank you!

This Biggby is awesome. I rolled in around 545 am - I was told they weren't actually open yet - ooops! But they still sold me coffee. Thank you!

    Neapolitan, need I say more.

We had a Yelp event at their Dearborn location. I really wanted the iced Adeni chai that a few reviews have talked about, but they were unfortunately out. So, I got the hot Adeni chai with no sweetener. It does take a little longer as they brew it fresh. You can watch them heat and steep from the induction stove right there which is pretty cool. I was surprised by how spacious it was. There were ample tables (that I appreciated they were wiping down on a regular basis) as well as WiFi. If I need to change up scenery, I'll have to stop by here. Also they had a whole refrigerated case of goodies. I'll have to come back and get something - that Pistachio dream cheesecake was calling to me!

We went when there was a student discount (buy one get one free) so that was great, but to be honest, I probably wouldn't go if one of my drinks weren't free- the prices are crazy! But, I guess I can't complain given my normal Starbucks order is around the same cost. Drinks were tasty but the refresher was kind of bland. Again, if we're comparing to Starbucks, I probably would still choose my regular refresher there over this one. Environment was quiet, clean, and easy to study, however it was SO hot! I'm wondering if the heat was on. Not sure why that would be the case since it was the middle of September. Overall, I was a little disappointed with my experience. It did not stand out to me and was overwhelming because of the heat.

(I'm thinking of holding my office hours here in the fall, IN PERSON, over real coffee! this coffee is yummmmmmmy) From the moment I walk in the door I am greeted with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Who all know me by my first name! (and I have a difficult Spanish name). They greet me with a smile, never rush me, and take my order all the while answering any questions I might have. Since their menu is always evolving and changing, it's great that they take the time to walk through my options. So they have their standard amazing pizzas (which i first had at the farm) and their shockingly authentic pastries (even better croissants than I have had in Paris). But last week I tried their new breakfast food, and MAN! It was GOOD! the quiche, the omelet....and although I am convinced their chai is the best in Ann Arbor (it's not a premade mix of sugar and chemicals, it's the real deal) ...they now have this new line of matcha, so so good. Sarah and Kat make baristas run for cover, they are that good. And even with all that goodness, I was SHOCKED out of my mind when I had their eggplant sandwich. That thing is fire. FIRE. My family and I are big meat eaters, so when this one hit the scene, we couldn't believe how tasty it was. Even writing this review right now makes me want to go there and eat one. (I'll still keep trying their amazing ever-new menu, but this eggplant sandwich has become a standard) Also, there is this very cute small little market attached where I stop by at the end of the day to pick up freshly made bread for dinner. We love the sesame bread, but geez louise, the baguettes are addictive. Their head baker is INSANELY talented. Remember that scene in Ratatouille when the food critic gets transported to a core memory? That happens to me when I eat that bread. I have purchased goat milk soap there (its handmade by the baker's wife), hot chocolate mix, a kabocha squash, this no sugar added mango puree (which I made a no-sugar added mango torte with). They have these really cool unique products, and it really is a treat to stop by. The place is beautiful, and it is a gem to have such a high quality place to eat on this side of town. The passion that these people have comes through in their food, the products they sell, and the way they treat their community. I love Ann Arbor, and I love this cafe. (okay now i really am going to go and get that eggplant sandwich)

Unfortunately I missed out on the original location, but the new spot is easy enough to find and very comfortable, open, bright and sunny. It feels like walking into a family kitchen - smiling faces greet you, ask you how you are, tell you about the co-op and invite you to sit for breakfast - possibly with other patrons, since table sharing is totally normal there. The menu is small, but the selections are good ones. We had the cornmeal waffles, bread pudding (loved the crunchy top and didn't need any syrup at all), and some of today's greek specials. Everything was tasty (but not outstanding) and extremely fresh. I don't think I've ever appreciated feta so much! I also liked the basic but good quality coffee. Above all else, the atmosphere is what you go for. The buckets of freshly picked "try me" asparagus at the door, the ability to watch the chef and kitchen hands work, seeing all the volunteers collaborate, enjoying the company of other patrons - mixing, mingling, learning about Ann Arbor and making new friends. If you're into it, you'll be very into it. Note to bring cash - there are no "prices", but a $12-$15 donation is suggested, and completely reasonable.

Although Selma doesn't open until 9am, by the time we arrived at 9:08, the wait for our party of 3 was already at about 40 minutes. I'm not entirely sure if this is normal or if everyone else at school had the same idea so it was unusually busy. Once we got seated at 9:50, I ordered the strawberry bread pudding with roasted potatoes and bacon. One of my friends got huevos rancheros with chorizo sausage and the other got gluten-free waffles with fruit compote. While we really really wanted to like the place because of the concept and how much everyone else talks about this place, the food was really just very mediocre. Specifically, my bread pudding was extremely bland and runny and tasted like someone pre-chewed it...and I'm usually a huge fan of bread pudding! I ended up drowning my food in syrup to eat it but I guess people come here for the experience of community dining, not for a culinary treat. As for bacon, 1 piece was perfectly cooked and the other was too burnt to eat. So perhaps all food here is luck-based and I ended up with the super-soggy center of the bread pudding rather than better textured parts towards the edges?? Still, like I said, bucket list checked.
