I was really excited to see the sign for this spot go up in the Westgate shopping center. I had heard about Tous Les Jours for a while now but hadn't been yet and I was looking forward to them opening here. So first off the selection is wild. The there are SO many options, from savories to sweets, pastries to cakes and other baked goods. Like many Asian bakeries I've been to this one self serve and, despite being a pretty big place, on a busy weekend afternoon it can be hard to navigate around folks that are also browsing the selection. So I've been a few times and each time I get an assortment of mostly pastries like their croissants and buns. Maybe a danish or two. Usually sweet though I've definitely enjoyed a sausage bun once or twice. Overall the pastries are very good tho not GREAT. The flavors are very good but with that level of output some of the offerings are not quite as dialed in or fresh feeling when it comes to texture. That said, I still do enjoy getting a pastry spread from here. Where they really shine tho are their cakes. How beautiful, right? And most come in mini sizes, slices, or in bigger occasion cakes. If you need a last minute birthday or celebration cake they've got quite the selection on the ready for you to scoop up. Coffee here is not bad either. I usually go for a latte. During slower days and times of the week they have plenty seating to meet a friend for a bite or bring your laptop along to catch up on some emails. The shop itself is also clean and very bright with huge windows and a lighter colored design inside. Ultimately I happen to like the other locally owned independent Asian bakeries in town more but I do keep this one in rotation thanks to the location.

First off the interior is very inviting and very clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. When you walk in you can get tongs and a tray and open the cabinets and select what you like and bring it to the counter to check out, if you want a beverage you order at the counter when checking out your food. Everything here in terms of croissants, muffins, cakes and doughnuts does look fantastic, I will give them that. Where they lose me a bit is price $4.25 for one doughnut or croissants is a little much for me with other bakeries like DJ's or Yoons, it would be hard to come here over those bakeries due to sheer price alone. Again everything looks wonderful here just going to pay quite a lot. The Ube latte was flavor and my wife enjoyed her Jasmine tea, would came back here for a special occasion cake or just to treat myself, but would not be my weakly go to.

Bright and modern ambience. Very friendly service. I've got some bread , cakes and drinks. Cake was light and moist. Drink wasn't too sweet at all. In fact I didn't taste much sweetness in matcha latte. Overall everything was tasty but a bit too pricey.

I came here within the first couple days of its opening. And really enjoy the variety of pastries that they seem to carry. They have a lot of options and everything seems very bright and clean. The workers are very friendly and they want to please you and and answer questions. And the service was pretty fast. The slowest thing probably is making the coffee it takes forever to order a coffee and actually get a coffee. This is an independent building located in a convenient shopping center to get an out of lots of parking. I think they've been there for a while. They will smooth out some of the challenges that all the new staff are facing. Will definitely recommend coming back.

I would rate this cafe an overall 3 stars. The pastry I chose was mediocre. I ordered the Blueberry Mont Blanc Croissant; it was a bit tough and not as soft and buttery as I prefer. The filling was pretty delicious and the fruit fresh. I ordered an Iced Lavender Latte as well. I didn't taste the lavender. However, the coffee itself was so-so; I wouldn't grab coffee from here on my way to work or anything but on the flip side, I noticed that most of the drinks on the menu were pretty low in calories ranging from 150cal to 350 cal. They also offered vegan options or dairy substitutes. They have some pretty interesting drinks. I would like to revisit just to try their Matcha Lavender Lemonade. I didn't like that guest must open the pastry container and get their own treats. It's a bit unsanitary. Furthermore, the restrooms were out of toilet paper and tissue was on the ground. All of the trash cans in the cafe were overfilled. There were forks but no butter-knives; as a result, struggled to enjoy my pastry without getting food under my nails. The dining area wasn't clean and I noticed that guests were not washing their hands prior to opening the pastry counter; by the end of my experience, there were finger prints all over the glass. When I arrived, there weren't many guest but once I began eating, a rush of people came into the cafe. However, there was a line of three people when I first got there. One register was open and there were 5 associates up front, only one of them was preparing orders and the other taking them. I ordered an Iced lavender latte. The female associate making my drink made a hot latte instead of iced. The male associate didn't specify. Nonetheless, she fixed my order with a little bit of an attitude.

I see this place often but have never stopped in. However in finally decided to stop in and try to. Wow when you walk in the assortment of pastry's is crazy. The provide a tray and tongs and you can grab what you want before heading up to the cashier. The desserts are SO PRETTY. Actually the whole cafe is very pretty. It's very clean and the staff are sooo nice. I the cakes they are so pretty I'm thinking about getting one for to take for Thanksgiving! The assortment of baked goods are unreal so many options you almost don't know what to choose I ended up getting a spinach and feta danish. It was very good. They also have coffee and tea. If you are looking for a cute place to meet up friends with a variety of options definitely give this place try. There is lots of parking because it is in the Westgate shopping plaza.

There's so many different things to choose from and they always are bringing things out. There are places to sit and delicious food, both savory and sweet to choose from. They also have coffee. I had a great time, chatting with friends and picking a suite for now and for later. Majority of the pastries are self serve. Not all of them were wrapped pristinely but it does not affect the taste. I would watch out for cross contamination since it self serve. It was a little bit busy. The service was OK. I wanted my pastries for here, but they made them to go. The ambience is really lovely, but it does get pretty loud in there.

This place has the best milk cream buns and mascarpone bread. I tried a variety of buns and macarons and everything was good. I have been to Yoon's, Moose, and O cafe. Tiramisu was good here but I prefer the one at Moose. I like the blueberry cream cheese buns at Yoon's a little more as well. All good quality, just personal preference. This is still a solid stop and I will return to try some other things.

We were in the area to pick up dinner and saw that there was a new Tous Les Jours open. This isn't usually my favorite bakery chain to visit, but we dropped in to give them a try since we were right next to it. As with other Tous Les Jours locations I've been to, I feel like the consistency and quality control just isn't there. While we were walking through the baked goods, we saw some croissants that looked nice, some that looked overbaked and dark colored, and some that were squished flat, all in the same or neighboring trays. We did decide to get a couple of items that I don't remember ever seeing before. Corn Cheese Donut ($5.25) - You get three of these donuts. These aren't really donuts though - the dough is a chewy mochi exterior, fried and rolled in sugar. The interior is mostly hollow except for a small dollop of a sweetened cream cheese and whole corn kernel mixture. When you bite into it, it makes kind of a puff sound as the air trapped inside starts escaping. I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did and I would be tempted to get it again. (4/5) Caramel Almond Pastry ($3.95) - The croissant dough tastes quite buttery, but the texture is sad, limp, and droopy with some of the smallest air pockets you can find in a croissant. It reminds me of a typical mass produced, low quality, yet all butter, grocery store croissant. The filling tastes pretty good - it's a caramel flavored almond frangipane that is very sweet. The caramel notes really come through and overpowers the almond. There are slivered almonds sprinkled on top of the croissant, adding some texture. (2/5) I do like that this location has labels of when everything is baked and when they should refresh the offering. Then again, we went at 5PM and there were several pastries that said best by 3 PM that were still up for sale, so that was kind of bizarre. If you're not going to refresh them on time, it's better to not have those labels at all in my opinion. Bathrooms - Two single unisex rooms along the right rear. I guess I just don't understand the appeal of this chain. I've been to 5 separate locations in Michigan and when I lived in California and haven't been impressed on any visit. The baguette here somehow costs more Zingerman's and what's even worse is that there's a local family owned Korean bakery nearby where the pastries cost half as much as Tous Les Jours and are of higher quality. Yet Tous Les Jours seems to always be completely full, but at Yoon's, I've never seen more than one or two other customers. I guess Tous Les Jours just targets a different demographic. Don't get me wrong, Tous Les Jours is not bad, it's just bland. If you want a huge selection of baked Asian-French goods, a familiar and inviting environment, and food that is mass produced, but mostly tastes good, then Tous Les Jours is a fine visit.

Very fast friendly service for how busy this place was today. Not enough parking. The selection is amazing. I didn't know how the operation worked but asked at the counter. You grab a tray and tongs. Get what you want and they will box it for you, or you can eat in. The cakes look amazing. There are both sweet and savory available. Half loaves of bread that I will be back to try soon. Drinks in a cold case, whole cakes available. Coffees to order at the counter. I was surprised how quickly I was in and out. Glad to have another Asian-centric bakery with great flavors available.

Soooo excited (and slightly worried for my waist line) that TLJ is in AA!! I don't have to drive alllll the way to Troy now. I know TLJ well from growing up on the west coast. You'll find Asian baked goodies that aren't too sweet (the ultimate compliment!) and also things like beautiful milk bread for toast, sandwiches, whole cakes, macarons, etc. they also sell coffees and teas. The space is gorgeous and new with plenty of seating!

Tous Les Jours is a South Korean bakery chain with many locations across the U.S., and their Ann Arbor location (which is the second in Michigan) is having its grand opening this weekend. I'm familiar with their New York and New Jersey locations, and it's exciting to see them finally opening in Ann Arbor. In terms of the quality of their products, they're a chain, so the quality is standardized across locations, and some of the products do taste mass produced. Compared to the locally owned Yoon Bakery, I think the quality of the breads at Yoon is definitely higher. However, TLJ does have more options. My favorite items here are the milk bread loaves: they have many more options than other Asian bakeries in the area. Their viennoiseries look pretty but aren't great, so I'd recommend avoiding those. They were swamped on opening day (the line took 2 hours), so I'd recommend waiting a bit for the hype to calm down before visiting. There was a grand opening promo of a free mug with $25+ purchase, so I tried several items: Would get again: Sweet Rice Donut ($2.75) - it's a deep fried glutinous rice ball filled with red bean paste. It came warm! Garlic & Cheese Croissant ($4) Strawberry Croissant ($4.25) - filled with whipped cream and strawberries. Would not get again: Cranberry Cream Cheese Bread ($3.75), Milk Cream Bread ($3.50) - OK but not noteworthy. The bread texture isn't as good as Yoon. Mango Cream Doughnut ($4.25) - the filling was way too sweet :( Pain Aux Raisin ($3.25), Chocolate Avalanche ($3.95), Mont Blanc Pastry ($5.25) - the dough of the viennoiseries is too dry and bland. Sweet Cheese and Blueberry Danish ($3.95) - the sweet cheese filling had a strange texture, and had an overly vanilla flavor. The space is bright with lots of seating. Even though I didn't like most of the items I got this time, I'm still happy that there are more Asian chains opening up in the area.

The employee taking our order was super patient and friendly! I got a large oat milk latte and a croissant breakfast sandwich, and Nate got an Earl Grey tea with a pretzel bun breakfast sandwich. Our food and drinks came out in a timely manner and they asked our name for the order (bonus for this, #iykyk). The shop is interesting because the library doesn't actually open until 10 am, but there is seating available for the coffee shop and people were walking around/browsing the library for at least an hour before they opened. I've never seen such a set up but it seems to work for them! I really liked the latte - it was smooth and creamy, and the sandwich was flaky and savory. I might sound petty, but honestly the product can be great. However, customer service is what brings customers back. There needs to be proper training. If I'm going to spend money and do everything myself and ask for everything that should be the basic/ standard, then I might as well make my coffee at home. It terms of music, I think it would amplify the space. When I stopped by the cafe, I was the only one in the main space and it was dead silent and all I can hear is the buzzing of the cooler that had the water and pop/ drinks. Some light music in the background would've blocked that noise. I only share this because I would love to see this business thrive.

I had to go inside and get an actual booklet of drinks to understand the choices. You can't just order a drink here. "Do you want it hot, iced or frozen?" I feel if I wanted it iced or frozen, I would have said so. "Three or four shots?" Again, if I wanted extra shots, I would have asked for them. I walk away feeling as if they are trying to upsell me, not really get me the drink of my dreams. At this location in particular, parking and getting out can be tricky. It's a sad little strip mall. Heck, it's too small to even be considered a strip mall! But, the staff is super friendly, so I'll continue to shell out $5+ for my mocha and be on my way.

Food was amazing but customer service gets a two. I would have given a zero but the woman who made…read moreour food and the man who made our drinks were nice. The woman who rang us up however wouldn't have even talked to us if she didn't have to our our food order in. We walked in and she just stared. When she took our order I said good morning and she acted like she didn't hear me and proceeded to take our order. If we weren't so hungry we would have left.

Honestly, I was a bit overwhelmed when I came in. There's a tea bar area, the loose leaf tea wall, pastries and other desserts, swag, a tasting area, and apparently it was trivia night tonight. I experienced all of this in just the first minute or two of entering. And it was packed! I really appreciate the time taken to explain the shop to me and walk me through many of the teas. Although they were busy, I didn't feel rushed (there were 2-3 people working the registers) and it felt very personal chatting. I was able to smell a bunch, and could really tell the differences in them. I ended up getting 3 50g bags and 2 sample bags, plus some stickers and pins. Really excited to try these out. Their range goes from darker to lighter, and they have a wide variety of black, green, rooibos, and herbal teas/blends.

They are selling really cute tea ornaments and they have other things like tea pots and cards with funny phrases like "It was you Oolong." They don't have a physical menu because the flavors constantly change. You can look online but for the most part, have to stand behind the counter in diff areas to see alll the flavors! I spotted Almond Milk Tea and she let me smell it and I was sold! It smelled wonderful! When it was actually brewed, it was ok though. It doesn't really have milk in it either :0p My MIL got the Hisbiscus (a tad too sour) and my husband got the Japanese Cherry green tea (that was good and has a mild flavor if you like that sort of thing). They have signs on the table that there is no Wifi because they encourage unplugged conversations and connections.

First, their lamination is ON POINT. Then add the Korean flavors and flair to it? Chef's kiss. So Injeolmi is basically like a mochi rice cake dessert with roasted soy bean powder on it. So they did their take on it by dusting the exterior with the roasted soy bean powder and putting the rice cake part INSIDE. You basically have to eat this day-of though - rice flour goodies are never that great re-heated. *trompe de l'oeil desserts - they have various ones that look like fruit BUT my favorite cheesecake that looks like a piece of cheese on a cheese board ha. Love the whimsy. *the sleeping bear cakes! I think this is more of a Valentine's Day special - I'm not sure if it's year-around but it's so cute and the chocolate mousse is so luscious with the perfect ratio of raspberry. *Dubai chocolate mochi - this is probably my favorite take on this viral trend. It's a really fascinating texture with the soft rice cake/mochi meeting the crunchy kataifi. I'm into though!
