Amazing food! But the Strawberry Chilton was my favorite drink ever! Disappointed that the patio was full when I arrived, however, I did walk around outside after my dinner and it's a beautiful property. Steak was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Green beans were very unique and delicious. Deviled eggs and baked potato were loaded with brisket and tasted great!

So- first, the location is nice; out in the "country," peacocks walking around, little pond to look at, super job on outdoor ambience. The inside is rustic, dated, but homey. The food is average. We started with the chips and salsa/guacamole. No matter where we order chips, we always devour them; unfortunately here, we let the waitress pick them back up without hardly making a dent. They were EXTREMELY SALTY... like, wowza... unbearable. As for entrees, my husband got the chicken fry, which he said was good, and I ordered a salad with grilled chicken. The salad was fresh, but the chicken was over cooked and extremely dry. It was advertised as having cornbread croutons (which I was excited about), but none came on it ‍ Overall, glad we finally tried it, but not sure we will drive back out.

Very unique place as you can dine with peacocks!! I really appreciated that this restaurant has a separate menu for special diets like vegan/vegetarian. Pretty much a substitute for all the variety they offer. Service was good our waitress was training and she was attentive and figured out our questions as necessary.

Food was very good, split the bbque plate with extra meat and shared it. Young lady who waited on us (sorry, forgot her name) was very attentive, suggested a few items, one being the green chili cream corn(was excellent actually) and was very personable. If you are near this area, I suggest you try it out. If you are camping at Lubbock RV park, it's very close and worth the drive over to grab a meal. Pretty location. They had a keyboard playing that evening which was a nice touch. Enjoy.

Wow! This place is awesome! First time here thanks to yelp search. I love that have a huge parking lot! We have an airstream RV so parking was not a problem. Food was excellent and after I got to feed the peacocks!

Great view. Patio seating if good weather

STOP!!!! great food, outstanding service! A bit hard to find...look for a lake and park like setting. Go West off Hwy no matter what GPS says. Leah gave top notch service. Mgr John stopped by to check and really cared about feedback. We are so glad we stopped here for lunch vs going into Lubbock.

The layout, patio and peacock birds to watch make this a nice escape from norm at Lubbock. Portions are large. Menu has large selection. Friendly service made this a nice lunch visit and we had similar in past for dinner. I can see this is nice venue for events. I wish the food was higher end but this is a middle of the road type of place for anyone to be comfortable eating.

    Texas deviled eggs

This place is simply amazing. We were greated in the parking lot by one of the peacocks. We had reservations and so we were seated after walking in the door. The staff was very friendly and attentive (even with it being graduation weekend). Appetizer we got the bread basket and Texas deviled eggs. The Chile cornbread was so moist and sweet. The Texas deviled eggs were amazing! I think I could do half a dozen and call it a meal My wife got the chicken fried steak. It takes up most of the large oval plate. It had super crispy breading with a very tender steak. She couldn't eat half of it, good thing they have Togo boxes. I had the BBQ platter. The turkey was a bit of miss for me, it didn't seem to have captured the smoke as much as I would expect. The sliced brisket made up for it. A nice smoke ring around the most tender, juicy brisket around. Atmosphere=10+ I don't think I could eat on the patio. I'd be too distracted by peacocks walking around. Service=9 it got real loud when all the big groups finally arrived. But the staff was amazing! Price =10 it was better than you might expect. It was a great place for our anniversary.

The table area outside the restaurant outside patio. We enjoyed this meal very much.

Great setting and service. My lunch was great - fried chicken salad but husband was a little disappointed in the cheese sandwich.

I also tried the nashville hot chicken. Let's go pros: I really enjoyed the side options and the amount of food for the price. Chicken was juicy on the inside and not dry. The flavor on the Nashville hot chicken was enjoyable. Cons: The chicken itself doesn't feel marinated or anything so the flavor isn't in the chicken itself. The seasoning on the tenders was very minimal and just tasted like a lot of salt. Same with the okra... the fry on the okra was good but just tasted like salt. The mashed potatoes were fine but the "bacon" in the gravy was canadian bacon or something because it wasn't crispy like bacon. I wouldn't get the mash again.. Nashville definitely had better flavor, but was very very very oily. It's also has like virtually no spice. Dirks signature sauce is like canes sauce but tangier... (Canes is better I'm sorry). Service was good! They do charge 2.5% credit card fee so bring cash.

I was back in Lubbock visiting my girlfriend after she had come to see me in Austin the last few times, and we were planning our weekend. I had previously taken her to The West Table to celebrate her graduation, and since we loved it, we knew we had to go back. Last time we went was an amazing experience. We had their arancini as our shared appetizer. She had their Roasted Beet Salad and the Grilled Rack of Lamb, while I had their Caesar and their Cast Iron Seared Duck Breast, which was amazing. We also enjoyed their specialty drinks. This time we arrived for our 7:00 reservation and were greeted and sat immediately. We both ordered a drink to start the night. I started with the Hibi-Jibi, a hibiscus and gin drink, while she had the Peach Ring Margarita. West Table is a farm-to-table scratch kitchen concept, so it's very important that you order all your food from appetizer to main course up front to give them time to craft it at the right pace. The West Table is at the floor level of the luxurious Pioneer Condos. It sits right across from their sister location, The Brewery LBK, and even serves their current brews on location. However, opting for their brews and not their cocktails is a mistake in my opinion because their specialty cocktails are truly one of a kind. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It feels like a ballroom and all the tables are well spaced out. In the back is the open kitchen where you can see all the chefs putting in hard work and mastering each meal. All around, there is great energy. We started with their Roasted Bone Marrow. I was worried about the idea of eating bone marrow since that was something I had never had before, but my girlfriend assured me it would be great. The bones were filled with an onion jam and lemon caper vinaigrette that were placed inside the bone. You could spread the jam and vinaigrette on their grilled bread, which was fantastic as well. It was purposely charred and really added to the jam's flavor profile. We then split their Caesar Salad, and it was a needed divider between our appetizer and entree. Their salad is a good portion for one person, and it was still satisfying being split for two. It was the perfect amount of salad. We got our next drinks ordered to go alongside our main entree. My girlfriend ordered their Fig Old Fashioned, while I got the "C" Monster, a celery-infused vodka drink with a name that sounds so stupid saying out loud that I almost changed my drink after saying it. Can I get the C Monster? WHAT A FOOL. The drink was really solid. The celery flavor was super noticeable, but in a good way. It balanced with the vodka quite nicely. For our main entrees, my girlfriend got their Salmon over Angel Hair pasta, and I got their Pork Chop over mashed potatoes and asparagus. The noodles with the salmon were strong with a very heavy Cajun kick, which complemented the crispy salmon piece, but my pork chop was the star of the show. They recommended it medium, so I got it medium, and it was delightful. Portions of the pork chop were nice and fatty, while others were lean and tender. I was a big fan of its flavor, and the sauce and mashed potatoes really added to it. Perfectly fluffy mashed potatoes. We closed the night with no dessert, but dessert drinks. My girlfriend got The Cold Fashioned (a mix between a smoked old fashioned and coffee liqueur), and I got the Buenas Noches, which mixes coffee liqueur, chocolate liqueur, and orange liqueur. Of all the "nice" restaurants in town, West Table stands alone. It has a price tag but still feels fair. Everything we had was top notch, and I still think they've made the best duck I've ever had. Their waitstaff is attentive and amazing and really sells the experience. At the end of the night, she was happy, I was happy, and West Table proved itself to be the LeBron of Lubbock restaurants. The bartender was quite busy with serving the bar, making drinks for the restaurant, and with bar dining. He was very friendly, albeit, in a rush, and very accommodating when my mom sent one of her favorite meals here back. She was so excited to order the Chicken Pot Pie, but she took one bite and said it was "off." The server and manager did make every effort to make it right, but I just shared my food with her, because it was so much food. I had the Chicken Tenders with mashed potatoes and green beans. The tenders were breaded and cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were good, but the green beans had some sweetness added to them that I wasn't a fan of. (The bacon grease in the green beans was a lovely touch, though.) The bread that they serve is divine! It looks like a croissant, but has a dinner roll taste and consistency, with the most incredible whipped and flavored butter drizzled over. The salads that my parents added looked really great to me, and they couldn't finish and have room for the entrees. My dad loves to order the Fish and Shrimp Platter and this time, according to him, the portion was considerably smaller than usual of the Fish, but the taste was still on par. Fresh, crispy, and just right! As we were leaving the rush was beginning and there were quite a few people waiting to be seated and the restaurant was full. Great spot for a casual, affordable, and great meal.
