I'd like to start off by saying we went in there to buy a tube for our adopted child's E bike. My fiance accidentally wrote down the wrong size of the tube, so the wrong sizes is what we ordered and got from them we got it home and realized it's the wrong size less than an hour later I called them explain to um that she got a number wrong and he was hesitant about exchanging it but said to bring it down and he'll make up his mind when we get there. Upon arrival they that the tube had never had air put into it and they knew we were just down there. He said he would give us the new correct size for the same price Then he had the counterperson video breaks down what actually happens to return tools at Lowe's step by step after scan the box and then he charged us more than $6 more for a smaller tube. The attitude added him from start to finish was just very upsetting to myself and my fiance. We will no longer be doing any business whatsoever with them. read more

Sometimes you see businesses with a five star review average and think wtf cause you know they don't deserve it. Let me tell you this is not the case here! The guys they have working on bikes actually know what they are doing. Super polite, and unbelievably helpful. They take the time to listen to their customers and properly diagnose problems on bikes being brought in to get services for issues. They have reasonable rates and don't try to up charge or get you to buy gear you don't need. They don't look down on you for being a novice rider or patronize you for your lack of knowledge like most other shops. When I left they told me if I still had any problems to bring the bike back in and they'd sort it out. They also have a large selection of mountain bikes to chose from. Not so many road bikes, but I'll definitely chose them for my next ride when the time comes. read more

Went in to ask if he had a box for an eBay sell I made. The owner said "we sell them what size do you need". I let him know the smallest bike box you have. Okay when would you need it by. Three days or so. He wanted $25.00 for the box! I asked him if they actually sell any at that price? He had no response... I went to Walmart in the same plaza and they gladly gave me one for free. Maybe hes having a bad day because he seemed to have a chip on his shoulder. I get it hes trying to get extra money by all means and isnt in buiness of selling boxes. I only went in there because my buyer who has over 20,000 sales in Dallas said thats what he does when he needs a larger box and they always give them to him for free. if he would of said $10-15 I would have paid him and been done, but $25 for a little box seemed a little excessive. read more

Dan from San Tan Bikes couldn't have been any nicer on our visit yesterday. He was very honest and helpful in every way. My son came in initially to get his bike fixed, and we ended up replacing it with a brand new Marin, and he couldn't be happier with it. Service goes a long way for us. He offered lifetime free tuning (not including parts) for new bikes. The closed bike shop only gives you one with a new purchase, and after that, you would spend $200 which is crazy if you don't ride all the time, and their bikes are at least $250 more for a base model. When my son bought his bike, the Dan made sure it fit him and even made a cut to make it fit him better, and he replaced the kickstand from the old bike without charging him. There was no pressure to buy anything which impressed me a lot. The bike shifts perfectly and rides like a dream with very little effort. Some info about the shop: They are next to a Walmart and have been there for 7 years. Marin seems to be the main brand they sell, and they are hand made in Indonesia and have good quality control. If you're looking for a good value in a nice bike, I do recommend giving them a try, especially for the service. read more

We bought a Fuzion scooter here for my son a while back. Scooters have obviously come a long way since I was a kid, as have the prices. That being said, I wanted to buy something that my son could be proud of and that would last. Also buying local if possible. That being said STB was awesome. They have a great selection for bikes and scooters and can order about anything you want, if they don't stock it. What I appreciated the most is their patience with me asking a ton of questions and helping me justify the price I was paying. The personal service ALONE is worth the extra price, not counting the pride of ownership and the headaches you avoid attempting to maintain your cheap one. (They are cheap for a reason) Once we settling on buying they worked with my son directly so he could pick out his wheels, grips, helmet, even gave him a few stickers. He was stoked and I was a proud Dad. The experience was second to none. My son is 9 and they treated him like he was buying/paying; Very patient, very classy. If you are considering buying your child a scooter or bike, do your research and buy something decent. WalMart/Target stuff is junk and won't last, same goes for their bikes. Even the "cheap" name brands are tons better than big box stuff. If you're looking for a local shop that will treat you fair and make you feel good about the money you are spending, give these guys a shot. read more

I went in there with my dad to look for some short handle bar grips and they didn't have what we were looking for. The sales associate suggested we can cut them if need be. We preferred to just purchase them through Amazon, as we didn't have any luck at any other bike store. The sales associate became extremely hostile and asked if my dad thought if he would do a bad job at cutting them himself. We didn't mention anything about his work ethic however, he became aggressive with his mannerism towards my dad all because of some handle bar grips. He also became upset when my dad declined to purchase the handle grips. I work in customer service and I have for over 10 years, he was super unprofessional and rude. All he had to say is that he didn't have what we were looking for and left it at that. No reason to get upset because he couldn't make a sale. People can have bad days but this was extremely unprofessional and we will not be continued customers. read more

This is a great bike shop. The guys are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and go way above and beyond with their customer service. I brought my fat bike in thinking I had disc brake issues and might need a new chain and tune up. They took the time to inspect everything, clean the brakes and determine nothing else was necessary. We recently moved to STV. I had driven by the location but always used another bike shop in Mesa. A couple weeks go I had a chain issue late on a Saturday afternoon. I wanted to ride Sunday so I called the shop to see if they had a new chain in stock. They did and said if I could get there quickly they could help before they closed. They got me taken care of and great service to boot. Now a month later and rear brake that another shop had recently bled was having issues. I dropped my bike off and a couple hours later it was good to go. I appreciate the service and have found my new bike shop. Even if you aren't in the area, they are worth the drive.
