I would not recommend this shop…read more We were originally given an estimate for how long the repair would take, but it ended up taking significantly longer than we were told. During that time, communication was extremely poor. They rarely answer the phone and did not provide updates about the status of the bike, leaving us to repeatedly try to get information ourselves. When we finally picked up the bike, we discovered that something else was now broken that had not been an issue when we brought it in. We called the shop to explain what happened and asked them to look at it, but instead of trying to address the concern, they were dismissive and unwilling to help. What made the experience even worse was the way we were spoken to. The communication was rude and condescending rather than professional or customer-focused. Mistakes and delays happen, but good customer service means communicating with customers and taking their concerns seriously, especially when a bike comes back with a problem it didn't have before. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I recommend you take your business elsewhere.

Last week we dropped off my e-bike for a tune up service. I received my bike 3 days later as promised (2-3 days). The cost was a good value. After my e-bike was serviced it rode better than when it was brand new. The one thing I really don't like is having to leave my bike on the sidewalk. No one is officially tending to the bikes. They're just sitting there. They are a small operation and don't have the proper amount of space. My husband they did secure his e-bike to a parking meter when he dropped his off but he still felt uncomfortable about his bike on the sidewalk. What if someone crashes into it. We sign waivers that release them of responsibility blah blah blah. So we'd be happier if we had our bikes within the safe confines of their bike shop.

I was in the ballpark of knowing what sort of e-bike to get (tech-spec wise), but wanted it within a certain budget range, which was out of scope for my knowledge. Art helped me pick and choose what bike options I had within their inventory. Ultimately I took up on his decision on getting a Mangosteen e-bike. Art's recommendations and advice was the best to understand and good to know. If you end up working with Art, He'd hook you up. Store Pros: A LOT of e-bikes to choose from. They had a much bigger inventory than expected, since from the outside the store looks small. You'll most likely find something you'd like here. Accessories are readily available in-store as well. If you need a new bike lock, helmet, or maintenance parts (brake pads, and other misc. parts), they will be readily available in-store. Store Cons: While the store had a great inventory to look and choose from, it was more on the pricier side. Again, It's subjective per person, but from what I remember from browsing around, most e-bikes in this location start from $1,250+. While there are some affordable e-bikes in this location, the starting price might deter budget-friendly buyers from this location. Due note: the upside to these higher prices is that the bikes come pre-assembled, and labor fees are NOT included when buying the bike. That's a plus in my book. Only one employee may be available at a time. No shade to Art (more than anything go to him before anyone else.). Since there's typically one person on the floor to help customers out, there may be a chance of long wait times if the employee is helping someone else out in the store. If you're an impatient person, this will be a red flag to you. For anyone else that is patient, It's worth the wait. Overall: I'll definitely be coming back to this shop for bike-related maintenance, questions, and possibly buy more bikes in the future if need be. After waiting two weeks, I received a text saying the bike was ready and that the total would be $89.99, including parts and labor. When I arrived to pick up the bike, I was told the price would actually remain $120 because they had to order "special oil." I was confused since their text clearly stated $89.99 including parts and labor. I also mentioned that I appeared to have been double-charged and tried to show the owner the charge on his phone. He refused to look, checked his computer, and said it showed only one charge and told me to contact my credit card company. Later that day, my son rode his bike and came home after about an hour saying his rear brake wasn't working. He had to slam on his front brake to stop and ended up crashing. He came home with a bruised and scraped knee and a sprained wrist that now requires him to wear a brace for a month. I immediately called the shop and was told to bring the bike back in. The owner said the issue was a "glazed rotor" and that we needed a new rotor. I declined the additional service. What's concerning is that the bike was returned to us with a rear brake that did not function properly. Instead of taking responsibility, the owner accused my son of doing wheelies, which is simply not the case. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The pricing was inconsistent, concerns about billing were dismissed, and most importantly, the bike was returned in an unsafe condition.
