I come to this studio whenever I am in town for work. They have a good variety of class schedules. Parking is a little weird but it isn't that difficult to find parking. Because I only come to the studio during my 2-3 trips to PA per year, I have to pay the $17 drop in class fee. I hate that I can't buy a package that has to be used within 3 months. It annoys me that when studios force you to use your classes within a prescribed period. I supplement my gym membership with bikram yoga, so I don't go as often. The studio I go to in Phoenix doesn't let the class packages expire. I LOVE that. Kind of weird that there aren't showers given the workout. It's been a long time since I've wanted to attempt Bikram Yoga again. Four and a half years, to be exact. Previously, I had taken several sessions with my mom at a facility in NJ. I considered it to be an intense workout, but I had trouble focusing and the minutes (all 90 of them) dragged by as I shifted from pose to sweaty pose. When my boyfriend recently came home after his first Bikram class, sweaty and exhausted, I knew I had to give it a shot. Leo, one of the instructors, is a friend of ours and has been trying to persuade us to take the class for ages. I was pretty nervous when we arrived on Friday evening. Especially as I mentally prepared myself for the class ahead while trying to adjust to the 115 degree heat. The facility itself was nice, and the practice room was bright and had motivational words on the wall. My only issue was that the entire place was carpeted. It was the short kind of carpet that you usually see at shore houses, but carpet nonetheless. This freaked me out a bit since there are undoubtedly so many germs festering in the heat. The other facility I went to previously wasn't as nice (as in, no decent bathrooms or changing rooms), but it did have hard wood floors. As for the class itself, once I got through the initial breathing pose, which I've always considered to be one of the hardest, it wasn't so bad. Difficult, yes, but not impossible. I surprised myself by being able to recall most of the positions and I was able to hold my balance better than I anticipated. I'm not sure if I'll be signing up for any 30 day challenges anytime soon, but I am going to attend another class this week and see how it goes. read more

This place is phenomenal! And why not check it out--unlimited classes your intro week for only $20! Leo , the Friday and Saturday instructor is hysterical, accomodating, and a great instructor. Hard to the core. This spacious studio boasts a whopping 115 degree straight through the session. Huge studio with plenty of room for everyone. The teachers are great and the practice is hardcore. This is what it is all about. The only downside is the changing areas are a bit small and the parking sucks unless the stores across the street are closed. It is a bit hard to find since it is off the main road just a bit . But I LOVE the place. read more

Pros: Ample parking. Amazing staff. Close-knit community. Cons: No showers. Drop-in class is $20 or $15/student which is standard. Do take advantage of the Intro Week Special: $20 for unlimited yoga for 7 days! After that, compared to other studios, the class-cards are a bit more expensive, but Erin, the director, regularly offers deals and specials, so sign up for email notifications! Extremely friendly, accommodating, and helpful staff. Each instructor has his or her own style, but I haven't had a bad one yet. Chris, Kyle, and Kathi (that I can name at the top of my head) are really good at helping newbies. Chris Robin and Simply Beth are my absolute favorite instructors! Don't come in expecting it to be a calm, quiet yoga class. Bikram isn't the place for that. The dialogue is continuous and at times militant, but you'll learn to find peace and refuge in that chaos. I have been coming to this studio since it opened. I decided in the new year to get back to it and focus on myself. Which is exactly what this yoga and 90 minutes are for. It's like nothing you have ever experienced. In fact it's a love hate relationship. Actually it's not but it's not easy but the after effects are pretty incredible. This yoga is about 'you', listening and finding inner peace and strength. Every instructor is unique and has something to offer you each and every time you go. So it's important to try different times. I come early to collect my thoughts and brace myself for the 90 minutes. People are friendly. I'd give this place five stars if it had showers. Give it a try and you have to do it more than once. The $20 weekly challenge is the best way to roll. Erin the owner is welcoming and inspiring. read more

Bikram Yoga Mainline is the best, I've been going there for the last 11 years ... best yoga, best teachers, best schedule!

I've wanted to try Bikram yoga for a long time, and when a friend invited me to go here with her, I was happy to try it out. I had no problems with parking, the studio is well located and the space has nice natural lighting. I disagree with the other reviewers who claim the studio is dirty- I found it generally clean, though the workout room did have a rather sharp smell-- like dirty feet. But- you got used to that quickly. I'm giving it 2 stars against my better judgment. The problem I had was with the instruction. Perhaps the instructor (Leo) had an "off" day, but I found his attitude to be very rude and off putting from the moment I walked in. Reading several other yelp reviews on here, it seems that's his SOP. read more

If you want knowledgable instructors who graduated from Bikram's college before it became fashionable, instructors that help make your practice the best that it can be by moving through the room during class and helping with postures where needed, then this place is for you. The owner and all teaching staff are very friendly and helpful. They'll know your name after only a class or two. Parking is free and easy in the large lot or covered garage just to the left of the studio. The size of the changing room is small, but not a problem for me as it is fairly typical of this type of yoga studio and seems to accomodate even the largest class of the day For only $20 for a full intro week, it's worth checking out. read more

I took one class here and really did not like it. I like Bikram - just not this place - or maybe I just got a bad teacher. The one nice thing about it was the room did not smell. Bad things: The dressing rooms do not have showers or bathrooms. It was just a large closet with one mirror. They need better attendants in the lobby. There was an old man spraying his mat with soap in the waiting area; this should have never been allowed to happen. And I was a new student and given no 'new student' orientation - this would be a hard place for someone with no yoga experience to start. The teacher was the worst yoga teacher I have ever encountered. She should not be teaching yoga; she reminded me of my high school field hockey coach (and I do believe this woman's true calling might be teaching PE somewhere). She screamed and ranted the entire 90 minutes - never shutting up. She insulted the class - told the class they were fat and out of shape. More like a drill sergeant then a yoga instructor. I suspect she likes to think of herself as a comedian and the yoga class a captive audience for her monologue. She was just really hard to take. Just a horrible, abrasive person. And personality aside, she does not have a good grasp on the Bikram poses or teachings, so even if she stopped the commentary, she still wouldn't be a good Bikram teacher. The other teachers here might be better, but I'm not willing to risk it. Any place who would employ a instructor like this one most likely has other teachers cut from the same cloth. If you prefer a boot camp type of class with someone screaming at you the entire time, this may be for you. It's just not how I like my yoga. read more

Great Bikram studio but parking might be a challenge if you're cutting it close to class time. I used to take classes here as I used to work out in Malvern. This place was a bit challenging to find at first since it's a little off the major road but not a big issue. Once you're in the building, the check-in is right by the door. The changing rooms are a bit small and no showers but teachers here are so nice, welcoming to new students and always accommodating. The studio is large and clean. The studio offers really good intro courses to try it out for a week. I'd definitely would return if I was out in the area more often. read more

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Will never step foot in this studio again. I attempted to take a hot yoga class tonight at Bikram Yoga with my boyfriend's mother and his cousin and sister. Being that we were new customers we showed up thirty minutes early only to be met with a rude man named Leo. Leo was working the front desk. He asked if we had ever been here before and we said no. He was extremely passive aggressive and said, "well we're going to do this my way. I'm going to do each one of you individually if you don't mind me saying it like that." His sexual innuendo was completely disgusting and we looked at each other in shock that it had come out of his mouth. He then continued to attempt to demean us for the next two minutes by asking if we had signed up online. No we had not which is why we showed up in advance to properly get into the system. Leo then made a comment about how my hand was resting on my head while he was talking "what are you holding your eye in?" (not even sure what he was getting at there.) The words that were coming out of his mouth were completely unacceptable. After his rude two minute rant and our utter confusion we had enough of his inappropriate treatment and walked out. Being that this is a yoga studio a place that is supposed to be welcoming and judgement free I'm extremely disappointed that a man like this is employed there. I had come with the intention to have a relaxing positive experience it was appalling the way we were treated. After reading other reviews on yelp, the only other negative reviews also involve Leo. These reviews go back to 2014, yet this man is still employed there. Very disappointed and was happy to take my money a few doors down to the barre studio. I have been dancing and doing yoga for years and pride myself on my ability to listen and enjoy my practice. While I am no guru, I try my hardest and really have appreciated my ability to find my focus. I dropped in here and I can honestly say I will never go back. The instructor (Leo) made the practice sound more like an auction or a sporting event and instead of supporting my push to grow within my poses. He talked for 90 minutes non stop and had me curb anything and everything I did until I was doing nothing but sweating in a room with the most offensive instructor I've ever had. He ostracized all the new members to the class to a point where it was just wrong. I never went back and I'm upset I wasted $20 on the class and week. I've never left a yoga class in tears, but I was absolutely heartbroken when I got to my car; I felt absolutely broken which is the opposite of what yoga should be doing. When I quietly asked to excuse myself to get a tissue, rather than pointing me to a box, he kicked it at me and made a scene about how he says who leaves and goes and does whatever he wants. I don't normally feel inclined to write these reviews, but I've never left somewhere feeling so horrible about myself. And to be clear, I teach boot camp. I know where the line is in appropriate push and inappropriate push. This studio was beautiful, but would benefit without him. I only wish that my first and only impression wasn't with Leo, maybe it wouldn't have been so awful. read more

I attended a class at this location for the first time in September for an Intro week. My instructor Leo was more like a bully than an instructor. He moved my personal property under false pretenses (and very disrespectfully might I add) and at the end of class, I discovered that the money was gone from my wallet. I was so upset by this that I forfeited the remainder of my intro week. Talk about a bad first impression! I'm sure there must be some good instructors here, but I will NOT be returning to this location. read more

Bikram Yoga Main Line is exceptional. The instructors are phenomenal, and the emphasis is on the yoga--not frills. If you want to learn how to do the postures properly in a reverent atmosphere (the yoga is taken seriously, but there is definitely still a sense of humor and compassion here!), this is the place. I live closer to another studio, but this one is my chosen home. The only downside is that there are no showers, but it is easy to overlook when the classes are so good. read more

I don't know why nobody has expressed the nasty smell the begins the second you open the door to enter the building...it's sharp and nasty. After 5 minutes you get used to it but each time I left class, I woke up with a headache and the smell of chlorine still in my lungs. I LOVE the class but I can't stand entering a building that stinks that bad. Sweat pit is a nice way to describe the smell...dirty socks....also a nice way to put it....this smell reminds me of the Seinfeld episode...! read more

I have taken Bikram at many different places, and I think this place was my favorite. The instructors are really focused, and the studio itself is spic and span. The two things that make this not that great is 1. The rates. It's that way for Bikram everywhere though--it's for the rich. If you aren't a student and have a job that gives you crazy hours, it's hard to pour money into. They offer plans though, so if you have a big chunk of money to drop, it's worth it. 2. The lobby has no seating. The studio in Philly has a place to sit with others and regroup after the classes. I sit on the floor, but some seating to get your head together after would e great. I am sure Bikram would think I was a wuss, but I like the community aspect of it. read more

This place is disgusting. Never had I even imagined someone would design a Bikram yoga studio with carpeted floors. The place smells like body odor the second you walk in door and only gets worse as you walk towards the front counter. I felt gross walking through the room bare foot and my feet and hands never left my mat after I was set up. I can't even imagine how much bacteria is living in that carpet. To make it worse, the instructor Leo made it very uncomfortable for me to practice my poses. He was constantly disrupting me in savasana to tell me very loud, unamusing stories. He made it seem more like boot camp then yoga (as if we were all there to loose weight). At one point he even walked right on top of my mat which I found to be disrespectful and gross. I should have walked out and I can promise you that I will never practice yoga in one of his classes again. I also can't believe they don't have showers! I've never been so unimpressed by a yoga studio before. read more
