The list of details is too long to post here, but here is a high level summary: I had (2) issues that should be covered under the bumper-to-bumper warranty, which is 3yrs/36k miles. I own a 2023 Chevy Malibu and it has 20k miles on it. Called on July 28th to make appt. Soonest appt is Aug 12th. Glad my car issues weren't urgent. Drop vehicle off and told for electrical work, I have to leave my car with them for 1-1.5wks because it will take the one and only technician who does electrical work that long to do the job. Two issues were: intermittent climate control blower fan speed and intermittent AC comes on during auto-start. The service advisor calls 2 days later and says they checked everything and they believe its the battery because it failed on their handheld device, but it passed on the battery load test machine. He said we can replace the battery, it should be covered under warranty. Calls back a next day, nope not covered because it passed on load test machine. I call GM customer service, read owners manual, bumper-to-bumper warranty and nowhere does it say batteries aren't covered. They spend 2wks testing battery multiple times, same result. My car sat in their lot waiting. GM cust service can't reach service mgr to discuss issue. Service mgr is out for a week and my service advisor out sick. I try calling to speak to someone, no return calls. Service advisor returns to work and says GM talked with service mgr and battery isnt covered under warranty. I finally pick up my car on Aug 26th out of frustration and done with the circus I was dealing with. The service mgr says GM didn't call him or leave a message and the battery is fine. He doesn't recommend replacing it. After 4wks, I still have the 2 issues I was concerned about. Service advisor lied on multiple occasions and so did the service mgr. This was my 1st repair with my new car I bought it at this dealership. I wil NEVER walk in there again. The communication at this place is awful, everyone in service doesnt know what is going on, when some advisors are out there is no backup to help customers, crappy car wash, put more air in my tires than the standard amount, a lot of games, runaround, lying, etc. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone. Don't waste your time. Since having my car back, the battery is just fine, as it was before I ever brought the car in. They just hoped I would fall for their games and pay for a battery I didnt need. read more

I'm extremely disappointed--not with the quality of work, since none was ever done--but with the complete lack of customer care. I dropped off my vehicle for body work and received automated updates showing the repair status and a pickup date. After two weeks, I went in to pick up my truck, only to be met with confusion. The service advisor told me the insurance company should have notified me that they weren't doing the work, and that I shouldn't rely on their automated system. I made it clear that blaming insurance or the automated messages was unacceptable. The truck was in their facility, they declined the work, and it was their responsibility to inform me. They then said they would contact the insurance company and later told me they had changed their mind and would proceed with the repairs. I left the truck there again. Another two weeks passed with no updates, and once again I had to show up in person to get information. I was told--again--that insurance should have contacted me. They had declined the work a second time and never bothered to notify me. I told them I would return in two days to pick up my truck so they could at least put the removed parts back in the bed. When I arrived, the parts were tossed in the truck, but the vehicle hadn't been moved, the snow wasn't cleared, and the tires were flat after sitting for six weeks. I had to walk to the back of the lot and inflate the tires myself just to drive it out. After being a loyal customer for many years, this experience has made it clear that I need to take my business elsewhere. read more

They are robbing me blind of my money because I am a single female. The guy I was working with is conveniently sick and have to deal with a different man. Drove 45 minutes to sell a car, let them do their inspection to which they told me I was having 2 misfires and that's a sign for a blown engine. This was followed up by an extremely low offer, turned on my car after walking out the door and heard/felt the misfire they explained as my dash turns into a Christmas tree. I pulled over into the first gas station and popped my hood, I could see two of my spark plug wires dangling from the ignition coils and unplugged at the spark plug proceeded to plug them back in and like magic my misfires went away. The kicker? Before I went to Fox I was having an EVAP leak from the gas cap that made me rent out a scanner, 2 hours before transporting the vehicle had no codes, I got a new gas cap, reset the battery, and the P0455 code went away. Headed to fox and they tell me I'm magically down two cylinders. I'm a younger person that comes from a background in mechanics, I feel they were trying to take advantage of my naivety without the understanding of my knowledge in the field. After popping in the spark plug wires and driving around for 2 and a half hours running errands trying to produce a misfire I was unable to reproduce the code for a misfire again. TLDR: Dealership lied on a misfire well doing an inspection for a purchase and now I need to swap my spark plugs and wires. read more

We purchased our new 2021 Chevrolet Blazer at Bill Fox Chevrolet in Rochester Michigan. Once home, my wife spotted what she called a dark spot. Sure enough there was a small dent in the quarter panel. Worse yet, even after the dealer attempted to clean it off, I noticed yellow crayon markings from the plant acknowledging it was damaged at the factory. Upon pointing this out, the dealer attempted to fix it. The first attempt was not acceptable as the color was not matching and there was foreign material in their repair. They agreed to paint it again. I learned they do not use GM original paint, PPG I'd guess, but instead use the VW, or Toyota recommended brand as they also sell both. I was informed they had all the secret formulas to duplicate the original GM colors. After the second attempt at pick-up the paint manager we dealt with was conveniently missing, paint was not blended into adjacent panel as promised and still not correct. Being a lease we agreed to accept it. The common thread is you don't buy GM products; you leased them so your problem goes away in 2 years. Later after purchasing the vehicle, a big mistake just like the previous Traverse we purchased, we attempted to have all the rattles repaired before the so called warranty expired. There was a crack inside on the console which was repaired, other attempts made, yet after approximately 6, maybe more trips to the dealer it still was not repaired. I say approximately as we were not always supplied with warranty paper work. There's also a strange scratching sound from the driver's door glass which appeared when it was raining, yes, indeed odd. There is a TSB which involves a lot of , inspection, repairs, etc. to the left side of the car with the result...still an issue. I then attempted to use Chevrolet Customer Assistance. As the service advisor warned, they were also useless. After finding someone I could understand, I quickly learned all they could do is give me the address of another Chevrolet dealer with the hopes of finding someone capable of repairing our vehicle. We gave up on the Washington, Michigan dealership years ago due to service incompetence, denial of warranty issues (foreign material in the paint of my Silverado), etc. As years had passed and they may have more experience with rattles due to a more rural location we gave them a try. They did take a more serious approach and the dash rattles are much better. Unfortunately, they damaged the dash in two locations. Hey, it's better than it was. I didn't even mention the window noise to them assuming it would be a waste of time. I'm not sure but we question if our one and only door ding occurred there due to the tiny parking spaces and having our vehicle for approx. 10 days. Why are GM products so poorly built and the dealer network so unreliable? My wife and I are both GM retirees. The only reason we've bought GM in more recent years is our discount. After the Traverse we swore we'd never buy GM again. I dumped that one on the Used Car lot where we purchased it in Washington, MI as they appeared unqualified to fix it. We tried Fox Chevrolet with our most recent purchase and come to the conclusion they're just as bad and doubt if others are any different as this is systemic. Do you really have a warranty when the dealer is incapable of repairs or, as in the Washington case, deny your complaint? Most folks are not aware, but many years ago GM Engineering Staff proposed a special garage be established at the Warren Tech Center to address vehicles that cannot be fixed at the dealers. Management unfortunately disagreed. GM also looted and closed the vast majority of their training centers used to train and keep dealer mechanics up to date. Lowest bidder parts procurement doesn't help. The thief on the assembly line sabotaging vehicles and a poor design all contribute to the poor quality. Even the flat rate pay structure is a source of shoddy work. Toyota still seems the way to go. read more

I worked with them to trade in my 2016 Chevrolet Malibu that had been in their custody for service for a week and a half and their service department was aware of the current state of the vehicle. After an appraisal of $7,775, I worked with the dealership to solidify the purchase of a 2024 Chevrolet Trax and put a deposit on one. On the day the Trax arrives on the lot, and after they called me to make arrangements pick it up, I get a follow up call stating that they won't honor the appraisal because they were unaware of the state of the vehicle (after having it in their possession for a week and a half), and the original appraisal was pending a mechanical inspection, and that caveat was not mentioned to me verbally or in writing. They also state that it's not running when I drove the vehicle onto their lot under its own power. In a discussion with the general sales manager, I asked if they had the security footage, both of me driving the car onto the lot, and of my receiving the appraisal offer sans the cover letter they claim states the requirement for a mechanical inspection, and he declined to explore this. They refused to honor the appraisal after I'd agreed to purchase a new vehicle, put down a deposit and moved money around for the down payment, and switched put the Trax onto my insurance policy (all prerequisites to purchase a vehicle). As a result, I've been without a vehicle for a week and a half, operating under good faith that the appraisal would be honored and I would be purchasing a new vehicle, and they pulled the rug out from under me at the 11th hour. This treatment was especially surprising since I've purchased two used vehicles from them previously, and I'd like to think they'd honor their agreements for loyal customers. I will be taking all my automotive business elsewhere moving forward. I am extremely disappointed in this experience, and I'll be filing a formal complaint with General Motors about the deceptive business practices I experienced at this dealership. they also charged me $165 to pull codes and didn't identify any issues. read more

Avoid this dealership at all costs. They gave my dad a hard time quite a while ago and I swore never to use them. I really wanted a dealer close to home, so I gave them another chance. Wrong move, they are still crooks. My lease is up on Monday, so I went in yesterday to do a buyout. The first thing the salesman said to us was that if you do a buyout through a dealer, by state law there is a $500 fee. That sucked, but OK let's get things rolling. We set up the financing and were gonna close today. This morning, I called GM Financial Leasing which is who is carrying the lease. (through Bill Fox) They said the $500 fee was BS and if you go back to the dealer who leased it to you there is no fee. Furthermore, she said that if they insisted on charging it to me, I was to file a complaint with GM. I thanked her and called the salesman (who was the same one that did the lease). I informed him and was blown off. He insisted that they were going to charge me. I then informed him that I'd be filing a complaint with GM and he said "Go ahead", and that I should do the buyout through GM Financial. I was furious and hung up. I immediately called the dealership back and asked for the general manager. I ended up having to leave a message and they have not gotten back to me. If they can't remember to take off letters that they placed off of your window...definitely don't trust them with repairs. When I chose Fox Body Shop to complete minor repairs on my vehicle, I unknowingly signed myself up for months of hassle, I could write a whole essay on my multiple HORRIBLE experiences with Fox Body Shop, but I will keep it brief: 1. The estimator I dealt with, Mr. Orlando, was the most unhelpful and unpleasant person I have ever dealt with. He was constantly condescending and would never go out of his way to help me or any other customer that I witnessed him interact with. 2. Mr. Orlando didn't include a part of my damages in my original repair claim (after I confirmed with him (twice!) that he did) so now I will have two insurance claims against me. 3. My repairs took way longer than expected--I understand the repair timeline is just an estimate but no one ever contacted me to inform me of this or returned my multiple phone calls. Then suddenly after my insurance complained about the length of the repairs, it was ready within an afternoon. I understand body shops get busy but please communicate with your customers.. 4. The fox advantage reimbursement check I was promised for completing the repairs at their body shop has yet to be seen months later. Brought my vehicle in for an appointment to have the oil changed and tires rotated as well as a general safety check. As always, everyone I have dealt with at Bill Fix Chevrolet was professional, friendly, and efficient in getting my vehicle serviced. I got checked in and went to the lounge where I had coffee and settled in to check email using BF wifi. After a short wait I had just gotten my second cup of coffee and sat back down when I was told my vehicle was ready...in under 45 minutes! So I grabbed all of my things and headed for the door. Next time I'll have to come in for something more challenging, and maybe get buzzed on at least three cups of coffee. Over the many years I have been bringing in my vehicles for service, I have always experienced consistently great service at Bill Fox Chevrolet. Then at the body shop I received an estimate and brought in my car for a 4 day repair, needed to extend the Enterprise rental not once but twice and didn't get my car back for 8 days. Find a different dealership! My husband and I have previously purchased two vehicles from this location and we had decent experiences in the past. I don't know what has changed with their staffing, but we recently had one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had when dealing with a dealership. This dealership appraised one of our vehicles and provided a written quote that stated "Instant Offer." However when we made plans to come finalize the trade, just a day later, they called back and said that they incorrectly appraised the vehicle. They were unapologetic and said we should have received a cover letter explaining the offer was pending. We have the paperwork and did NOT receive a cover letter. This dealership acted in bad faith and they should have stood by their offer since they apparently made a mistake in their original appraisal and also failed to provide proper documentation. read more

They kept us waiting 6 months for a 2023 Blazer that was stuck in Mexico. Love American made cars! The car being stuck there was no one's fault obviously, but the sales reps (Keith and a sales rep who quit because all of her clients were obviously having the same problem as us) kept stringing us along. "One more week. Two more weeks, should be in soon" and then when we would get to the end of the timeline they gave us "oh, it's still not in. But I do have this Blazer on the lot that's ugly Yellow! Or oh I have this blazer that's going to be $120 more a month to lease." I asked them multiple times to work with us on pricing for a 2024 since they were starting to come on lots and they couldn't get me my 2023 and they refused. Keith actually stopped answering our emails! Only after stringing us along until October and us finding a 2024 Blazer on another lot did they say they were willing to work with us on 2024 pricing. Just a garbage dealership. We even gave them a chance after their repair department committed fraud against my in laws that the insurance caught when they reviewed the claim because they were claiming the parts going into their car were 10 times more expensive than they were. Well, very awkward experience. Why do you go in to a dealership, honestly? To find help in getting a car. Doesn't matter if it's new or used, you need help. Today I came in to look for a car. Granted my situation is bad all around, a rough situation. However, there was no sense of urgency to help or even attempt to help me. I came in today wanting to look at good, reliable cars. Described my sticky situation, trying to see if anyone is able to help me. I walked in this really strange building surrounded by cars jam packed together which is essentially an accident waiting to happen. When I walked in the building, I looked around. A bunch of salespeople at their desks.. I have a ? on my face. Is anyone going to help me? Greet me? Anything? Finally a salesman approaches me and I tell him (uncomfortably) in front of everyone my situation. He attempts to ask me what I want, however me giving him the details of needing reliability plus my situation is basically me asking him, "please help me find something" Anyway I checked out this Ford focus that's going to be auctioned soon. It seemed nice, he gave me the keys and I somewhat drove it around. I know nothing about this car and I was very uncomfortable. He went back inside and left me alone! It's a Ford, not Chevy I thought so maybe that's why? But I was panicking because it is so different from my car and has way more buttons. In general I had more questions but my salesman left me by myself!! I was so frustrated. I couldn't even figure out, and neither could he how to unlock the door with the key besides manually unlocking it. I got out and looked around some more because I wasn't sure how I felt about that car. He never came back outside to check up on me. I eventually went back inside and he was like, "What are you wanting to do?" And I was at a loss like I don't know what to do because you didn't help me at all. Overall, I'm really disappointed. First, i texted the day before asking about a vehicle...i visited the next day and guess what...it was sold, BUT "let's take a look and see what we have".. BUT when we sat down to make the sale, i was directed to buy them some place else...huh?!?. Wasted an entire Sat! 172 point inspection??..but they seem to miss my windsheild fluid motor was fried!! I had to stop by on Monday to drop off extra set of keys and get a tank of gas... I called earlier so sales guy could set up a service visit to look at it. Of course, i was told to make an appointment to come back. Wtf?!!? Of course, i got the typical used car guy teament....."i made my money, sale complete, im done". Oh and i asked him to tell service to put air in my tires..and it was NOT done. But sales guy offered to take it to Belle Tires..huh??? Even though it was in the hoist getting serviced?!? Something was super fishy about that. Steer clear of this place! Can't be trusted. I bought a lease form one of their competitors but it's a hike form my house so I took my Cruze to a dealer closer to my house. My antenna had become bent and that dealer told me it would be $160 dollars for a diagnostics and then pay for the antenna. I was like OK i'll do it closer to when I return my lease. I knew that was crazy but to make a long story short, I asked Bill Fox and they told be the antenna just screws on and off. It took me more time to get the antenna from the service department than it took for them to pop the new on on. It also costs me under $20. read more

Not one of the salesmen bothered to look up from their computers. I finally told one man that I had an appointment and he silently pointed in a general direction. Mr.Tom Abraham discussed the merits of the Bolt and had the car brought to showroom for a test drive. After showing me the gear shift operation, he told me to drive the car only in their parking lot and remained in the car. I felt completely disrespected by the staff, ignored and dismissed. Being from PA, I was in a situation where I had to trust Tim (the salesman) to be honest. When I inquired about damage, he said there were light scratches on the drivers side door that would buff out. After driving 8 hours to Michigan, I found body damage to the left fender where you could still see the blend from the paint work. He gave me $200 off the price to get it fixed. The truck was not detailed, there was still dog hair in it from the previous owner. I was told the car wash would do more harm than good and their detailed wasn't the best. They also said they had a new state of the art carwash on their Toyota lot, but wouldn't even run it through for me. Tim didn't go over any of the options in the vehicle with me or the GM Certified Warranty Program. When I got the truck home and started detailing it myself, I found the lower right corner of the front bumper was pushed in about 2". I still have no clue what you consider a GM Certified vehicle or how bad the damage has to be for the dealership to fully disclose. I'm very disappointed and would not recommend this dealership. read more

When I signed a lease with bill fox on a equinox 2018 the sales person didn't mention to me anything about the turn in fee of $400 incase I didn't release through bill fox. The sales man read the lease agreement where I needed to sign or initial, but kept it from me to mention the $400. After 45 days of turning in my car I received a bill of $900 that is due. $400 turn in fee and $500 wear and tear. The wear and tear was a tiny crack less than half an inch on the front grill. Came in after someone broke into my car and messed up the ignition. Worst fucking service I've ever had from a mechanic. Not only did my repair take much longer than they originally promised, but the mechanic BROKE more than he fixed! They quoted me several outrageous prices, and then when Al told me to bring my car back (to fix HIS mistakes) he had LEFT for the night, and the other mechanic refused to service me until the next week, after all the other cars 'in front' of me. Bought a certified vehicle from these guys a couple years ago. They do not accept offers which was why no 5 stars but they are great for service. The process was pretty no fuss which struck me as a positive thing because I had been looking for a particular vehicle with certain features. I had unfortunately been to a handful of places that wanted me to "ask your husband if this is ok with him" or "we will have to have you bring in your husband in order for you to get your car" even though I make double what he does and the vehicle is in my name. This dealership was THE ONLY ONE that DID NOT DO THIS! I cannot stress to you what a relief that was! After the purchase I returned for service that was covered and the experience was always dependable and reliable, with friendly and professional staff. read more

The customer service is really declining at this location. I called in for an appointment to get an oil change and a recall done that they FORGOT to do last time during my oil change and i was told I may not be able to get it done on Saturday. It would depend if they have a tech there. I need batteries for my key and was told double the price and he wouldn't know if they stocked my key...this is a dealership, look it up! I proceeded to give him the ID number on the key to find...then voila! There are batteries there. Basically I had to act as my own customer service person. I think after this visit I'm going elsewhere. I shouldn't have to miss work for a minor recall repair because there isnt a tech on weekends. Bad business management. read more

Came in to trade in a car for a lease, and had a very easy time doing so. Talk to Kevin Yencer, he made the process very smooth and was helpful through the entire process. Was never pushy or anything like that, he only helped us get what we want for the price we wanted. I will update the review over the life of the lease to include how the service department is when it comes to oil changes and tire rotations and what not. read more
