There was only one one star review and the rest were 5 star so I wanted to believe the one star was on the reviewer but I believe her now... Never hire a handyman on an hourly rate for multiple tasks ...there's no motivation to get done in a timely manner in order to pad the bill and he doesn't clock in or out or confirm in writing on the daily what his hours were and then he lies about lunch breaks claiming come billing time he didn't take lunch breaks on two 7.5 hour days in a row even though the first day as I was heading out the door to an appt he told me he was heading out to grab a bite to eat...what a liar... 90% of the job was basic stuff even a teenager could do if they had the time and knew how to read basic directions...all of which I would of done myself but I didn't have the time to......and he actually messed up several easy items like he installed loose shelve brackets, and wall hardware that was supposed to support extra weight on shelving and a closet rod he left several of the hardware bulging up from the surface of the wall as well, and then a bathroom towel bar/shelve combo he put in incorrectly so it's coming apart and won't stay together on top of one of the connections to the wall on it he had messed it up several times so the screws are just loose in big holes in the wall 4-5 times as big as the screw /toggle size and this is after having him redo it once...after getting the astronomical bill with questionable stated hours and outright lies on lunches and hours worked and realizing the items he redid were still done incorrectly I Paid this shady character as it was clear from the other 1star review he clearly gets off on starting trouble and all the items he did wrong were not worth having him back in my house anymore as he clearly wasn't going to fix them right anyways after two times with no luck...I would never trust someone so shady and clearly doesn't know what he was doing... The towel bar rack he even made the comment that it was a bitch to put in after his first attempt to install it and then after the second attempt to fix it, I realized why because he didn't know how to do it properly... I only hired him over other bids that were a set rate and ended up being less than half what this guy charged because he claimed he could install some shower fixtures in my main bathroom and after a day and a half into the job he said he couldn't do it that I would have to hire a plumber for the fixtures where the other cheaper bids were honest and said up front they couldn't do the fixtures. So shady...one star is too much but they don't give an option for zero stars. read more

Call Bill! Seriously. I had Bill give me an estimate on fixing my pocket door in my home through the Yelp app and he suggested to come by and take a look at it for a more accurate quote. He came by this morning and gave me a completely honest opinion/suggestion in telling me that It was a quick fix that I could do on my own. He actually said "I hate to talk myself out of a job, but..." Its so nice to have someone earn your trust with their honesty. I have his phone number saved for any future projects that I'll need. Bill was referred to us by our electrician after our recessed lighting installation left us with over 30 holes in the walls and ceiling. He did a great job patching the living room (lathe and plaster) and dining room (sheetrock) so our 1920's home looks good as new. Bill is very trustworthy and dependable and he was able to assist with quite a few other home repairs, including laying tile in a bathroom, fixing a sticking door jam and installing some light fixtures. He is reasonably priced and does very good work, I would definitely use him again! read more

I recommend Bill and will use him for future work. Bill patched my lath and plaster walls after I had an electrician rewire my North Park 1920s home. Bill did a great job arranging the work and working around the electrician's schedule. Furthermore, Bill maintains a high quality of work. His workman, Dive, did an excellent job replicating the texture on the patch jobs. In addition, the electrician relocated outlets from the baseboards, and Dive did an excellent job patching the baseboards. You can't tell where the outlets were! The electricians turned my house into string cheese. Nonetheless, Bill stuck to the agreed rate and made it whole, again. No issues here. I recommend calling Bill and having him out to look at your job. He honest and will do a great job. read more

We recommend Bill,,he is a great craftsman. He takes great care in planning the project with very careful attention to detail. Bill has done many projects for my husband and I including enclosing our front porch..a difficult task that required a lot of patience do to the age and irregular dimensions of the porch. Bill put up new siding on our house filling in and or replacing the broken pieces..the finished product all blends nicely together. Bill patched the holes in our walls remaining after electricians rewired our home. he did the work himself and did absolutely beautiful work--I could not see or feel the patches. The work was better than I could have done myself (and I worked as a professional painter) and done at a reasonable price. Bill shows up on time (sometimes early), does everything on schedule, and cleans up afterward. Bill was so good that I hired him to install a tile floor in my bathroom. Again I got a work of art at a reasonable price on schedule. I know from talking to him that Bill can handle much bigger jobs than he did for me--if I had one, I would hire him. Terrible! Do not hire! This guy didn't give me a written estimate, the repairs were NOT up to code, and he does very poor quality of work. He doesn't show up on time, and charges way too much for his unprofessional work. He has no license of any kind, no drivers license, no handyman license, no contractors license, no bond, no insurance. Works under the table. He does not understand the building codes. He sued me in court! My advice is to stay far away from this guy! read more

If you want a handyman for either larger projects--designing, building, installing a Craftsman style gate with heavy, concrete-footed posts and overhead frame made to match an old, original Craftsman fence--or smaller, like making metal wall brackets PRECISELY the right size for an old, irregular sized bar room mirror to be just so-o-o smoothly slid in--call Bill. My 1928 bathroom needed new plumbing. So tight the space, he had to lie on his back, legs over -and-into-tub working up into the plumbing--but he got it in. Painted much of the interior: not a drop or a scratch on my hardwood floors. Built custom sized bookshelves, from stud-finding to sanding & finishing. Whatever the use-it-once-in-a-lifetime tool, he has them all. Nice: no improvising. read more
