Shout out to Madison, the young lady at the drive through window. I ordered 3 separate taco orders and requested they be put in different bags. I explained, they're being dropped off to different people. She was very polite and went over my order as requested. Some young lady that was standing next to what appeared to be a manager yelled that they were already separated and seemed bothered by my request. When I asked for two extra plates, the manager chimed in some remark that the other rude young lady found funny and amusing. BACK STORY is that this location has one of WORST customer service EVER. If they're not messing up my orders or making faces at the drive through window. They're taking forever to fill an order. The 410/Pearsall location is a farther drive for me. I have visited the Bill Millers on Rockport Rd, off 1604 & Hwy 16 3 times in the last few weeks. Today I went between 1-1:30. The drive thru employees don't know how to greet customers who pay their salaries. Each time they forget something. They don't put napkins or ketchup in the bags that have fries, and they don't ask if you want any. Common sense should tell you if you're going through the drive-thru, you would need napkins, but no, nothing. This happens every time. Today I made sure to ask for napkins since its not automatically put in your bag. I asked for sweet tea and guess what, I did not get sweet tea. I was on my lunch break and could not return for them to make it right. It's not like would reimburse for the gas and time to go back. It's a distance to drive back when you work out in the country. You'd think as much as they charge for their food, they'd make the entire meal good for the next time. No thank you when I left the window, she just shut the window. I called and wanted to speak to the manager, but she was with another customer, so I got the next one down from her. She just said I will talk to the crew members and that was it. I told her the lack of courtesy and incompetence is so very sad from a restaurant that has been around for so long, and in Texas who is supposed to be a friendly state. Maybe if they could get sued for not being friendly and not getting the orders right, things would be corrected and more pleasant for customers. The notice on all their bags warning of hot contents, should be posted on their walls but instead, say, "remember customers deserve to be treated with courtesy and make sure their order is correct". read more

The food has no flavor! They took forever on my order and my wife's food got cold while waiting for me to get my food .. I had a chicken fried steak with fries and Mac and cheese my wife had beans with brisket and Mac and cheese .. the fries don't taste like nothing. The chicken fried had no flavor. The beans were super super salty I think the best thing was the Mac and cheese. We ask for a box to take food home and they give us foil paper and a bag! How are we suppose to put the food there? Getting our brisket, tea and pie fix. Why do I have to hold up the line to get the simple things I requested 2-3 times?????? I asked the girl for napkins, plates, forks, salt and bbq sauce, when I first ordered. When I got to drive through window to pay, I asked for items again. When, I was given the order I asked if items were in the bags and the lady assured me they were and closed window. I didn't drive off until I double checked my order. There were NO items requested in the bags. They had the nerve to get annoyed that we requested the items again..!! If they'd do their job the first, second and third time, I wouldn't bother them a fourth time. Glad, we didn't drive off like we have in the past. We live west and south of this Bill Miller's, we are nearer to the Lytle Bill Miller's, but have always liked this one. However, while the food is good and the service nice, the place feels like it's getting dirty. The bathrooms have been gross the last two times we've eaten here, and the front walk at the entrance should be power washed. It just feels like no one cares and it's on the path to being run down. But it's the bathrooms that will keep me from returning. If staff isn't going to check them regularly, then leave cleaning supplies so I can clean the toilet seats. read more

The food has become more like a chain instead of what it used to be. Family owned and delicious. The fried chicken is still tasty but the strips changed about 11 or so years ago and nothing compares to what they used to be. Unfortunately I live down the street and this closest and only restaurant in my area. The quality of service has gone down hill. This bill miller's location doesn't not represent Bill Miller Bar-B-Q. In the past month I have gone through the drive through, waited for 20 & 30 mins at a time, which is understandable due to understaff everywhere. Every single time my order has been wrong. I've had to be inconvenienced by having to get off with my toddler and get them to correct it. This last time I waited for 30 minutes for 1 taco and 1 SINGLE PANCAKE. Staff is nice. Clean enough place with cute decor. Came for BBQ chicken. Smoked meat upon which you add sauce. I like BBQ that is flavored and seasoned during the cooking process hence only three stars. Beef pork chicken options. Great desserts! read more

Our first time in a Bill Miller's but it won't be the last! I wasn't that hungry so I just got the chicken tenders. They were good & tasted fresh. My husband got the brisket plate & let me taste his food. I had to remind myself not to eat all of it! The brisket was tender & had a great smoky flavor & the beans were just right. My favorite part was the potatoes. They were crispy & soft all at the same time with that perfect home cooked flavor that made me miss my momma!
