Nutella with Oreo crumble and pistachio & cream with almonds.
Michelle V.

My goodness. Just the most decadent and beautiful donut experience. I got the Nutella with Oreo crumble and the pistachio and cream with almonds. They're crispy and delicious. Really hits the donut craving.

!!These are not your regular donuts!! The place is tiny blink amd you'll miss it sitting in a parking lot. They do have benches in front to sit but there is not much seating. The donuts travel well to go though and I ordered the party pack and took it home. Thw order came out quickly and they took all forms of payment. Berry sauce was my favorite but honestly they all tasted amazing, pistachio creme was amazing. I wish there was something like this where I'm from I'd go all the time!

This food truck is a gem on the far west side of SA. They serve Lokmas which are essentially middle eastern donut holes but the donut itself is not sweet and the toppings make it sweet. You have to try the OG which is plain Lokmas tossed in a simple syrup. Those are the most authentic and I would recommend this flavor to someone who doesn't want something too sweet. They have a variety of flavors for everyone palette like double chocolate, pistachio, lotus, and churro. The truck is next to a brevity and Mexican food truck in a parking lot. It's worth checking out to try a unique dessert!

We were given menus to look at while we waited so by the time we got to the counter, we were ready to order. The baked goods aren't on the menu, so when we walked by the counter filled with croissants, kouign amann, bear claws, apple pie, cheese cakes, it was hard to choose what we wanted!! We ordered: the Alamo Burger: a 8 oz wagyu beef smash burger , served with a fried egg, caramelized onions, cheese on a crispy croissant bun. It was incredible and worth the 15-20 minute wait! Almond croissant - a monster sized, flaky croissant with a generous almond filling. Guy Fieri highlighted this croissant on his DD&D show. It's probably a million calories not worth it! Tequila strawberry tres leches croissant - a small, cream filled croissant with strawberries. This was our least favorite. My husband didn't like the filling, I didn't like the sogginess of the croissant. Coffee - really good brewed coffee with free refills. We plan to go back a few more times while we're in town!!

I chose this location because it was close to my hotel. The first thing that caught my eye was the pastry display. I had heard great things about their conchas, so I purchased a chocolate concha, a chocolate croissant, and a guava-filled pastry. Unfortunately, I wasn't very impressed. All three pastries seemed a bit dry to me and didn't live up to the hype. I also tried their brunch offerings, which were good but nothing particularly memorable. On a positive note, the service was excellent. The staff were friendly, respectful, and welcoming. The ambiance was casual and comfortable, making it a pleasant place to visit overall.

I was one of the only people in there, and since I preordered my donuts, I didn't have to wait at all. I got the chocolate iced and a bacon in the sun. The chocolate iced was good! It tasted about as good as a donuts gets. This shop makes their donuts more cake-y, but not overly sweet. I really came here because I wanted to try the bacon in the sun, and it was also great! It's savory and sweet, and tastes like if a pancake was a donut. I liked both donuts, but I think I'd only get one at a time, because it got too sweet for me at the end. Overall, really good donuts, I'd only get the specialty donuts because they're all quite expensive.

Aggressive drivers, anxious shoppers, and every retail worker putting in a Nikola Jokic triple-double. I understand it is a different beast of food service when it is December 24th. Christmas breakfast is what starts off your day before ripping through presents, and this year my parents thought Duck Donuts' Christmas-themed donuts would be a fun change of pace from the cinnamon pull aparts that we normally do. On Christmas Eve, we placed a mobile order on the Duck Donuts website, which requires a mandatory tip to order online, and we selected the ASAP option that said it would take about 30 to 40 minutes. My dad, who was in charge of picking them up, said they were kind of behind and typically that was fine. However, as the donuts were coming out of the fryer, they were immediately decorating them with the icing and the crazy and unique Duck Donuts toppings. When the order was ready, my dad noticed that the dozen donut box was quite hot. Donuts are not usually served warm like that. When he got home to show them to us, all the designs of their gingerbread and other Christmas flavors had melted. All the creams had completely melted. It looked gross. We put them in the fridge to try and preserve them from melting any more, but only so much could be done to salvage them from their depressing state. It was a little tragic. I feel like this is a very rare occurrence from Duck Donuts, as we have had donuts from this location before and enjoyed them. It felt like the fault of Christmas special orders and the rush that led to a breakfast disaster from what was meant to be a special start of the morning. All things considered, the donuts were fine. They tasted okay, but they gooped up in your hands and just felt wasteful. For the price, you would hope they would not melt before you got home. Duck and cover donuts. RIYL: Specialty donuts, just not on December 24th.

Recommend: Yes…read more After visiting Karolinas, I was in the mood for some coffee and a quiet spot to read, and I happened upon San Antonio Gold--so glad I did! At first, from the outside, I thought I was walking into a barbershop because of the door, but stepping inside was a fun surprise. The space is really unique--almost like a mini indoor shopping mall. The coffee shop is right at the front, but as you walk further back, there's a barbershop and a few other small shops to explore. Despite all that, it still has a chill, relaxed vibe. Plenty of seating and big windows make it perfect for hanging out with a book. I ordered the Holiday Inn Cambodia coffee, and it was fantastic. the service was great. Barista gave me a few recommendations. I'll definitely be back--this is a great spot to unwind, read, or just get out of the house for a little while. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

From its humble beginnings of a few bar stools, limited menu, and a small space to the wide open space that is Gold today, the constants have been killer coffee, awesome service, and great convo if it's not a mad rush. From standard drip to espresso to imaginative inventions, the coffee is top notch. If you're hankering for something different, talk to them a they will take care of you. Staff has always been awesome and they definitely know what they're doing. I once asked about chemex ratios and was given an on the spot class. If you don't like good coffee, good service or a solid place to chill, then this may not be your place. Also, they let me bring my doggo, Pancho, in, what's not to love?!
