My name is Greg Williams I will never use or recommend this dealer again. I thought this GMC dealership was accountable but I was mistaken. Let me explain, I recently took my 2012 GMC Yukon in for a service engine light and ABS light sensor module in which I took it to a goodyear repair shop and they informed me that they could not fix at the goodyear repair center,the wheel bearing sensor that would have to be done at the dealer meaning GMC so it went to my local Bill Rapp dealership in Syracuse NY and I explained what was wrong with it. I informed the service dept intake person that the engine light and they read out from auto zone and the goodyear repair ctr and my own readout saying the same thing, engine oil pressure sensor performance p0521 and obd2 engine oil sensor pressure circuit high voltage. I am not a technician but I am savvy enough to know when you do two diagnostic service charge and charge me 175.00 dollars per occurrence on the vehicle I expect you did the a full service diagnostic on the vehicle and then come back and tel me that it was a faulty knock sensor and then blame it on human error when it was written up correctly. I had two independent computer reads and my own individual readout and they charged me for two diagnostic something wrong and i had to pay for it an extra 389.00 in which I never saw the knock sensor error appear on none of the readouts i got from professional companies and myself. The diagnostic charge I paid for was useless because you did not diagnose it the first time correctly and then called me stating it would be additional 389.00. Now let me go back even before I left the drive way of the Bill Rapp lot, the engine light was already on, So I took my vehicle back to them saying the engine light was still on. So don't trust the dealer repair shop I went to not very reputable. By the way before I left the lot I paid them 1486.00 and additional 389.00 because of their blunder. For the past 8-10 years, getting a new car has been nothing but a hassle with me doing all the work because it's impossible to get a salesperson to want to sell a car (Chevy, Toyota, Ford). I would have to make all the calls because they won't call back. They won't have anything ready when they know I am coming in. I can't stand it and I walk in with a sour taste in my mouth. I'd say something to them and they look at me with a blank stare. This all changed when going into Bill Rapp Subaru. Tony could not have been more professional from start to finish. He listened to everything I had to say, would call back with any info he had, and when I would show up, everything would be in order. In the end, I think we both did extremely well. I got a great deal, I know that. Finance dept was excellent, speaking to the service dept was excellent. Bill Rapp gets it and they will always have my business going forward. This is the second time I have bought a car from Bill Rapp auto and both time have dealt with and was taken care of by Mike. Both times he has meat us outside with a handshake and a smile and addressed my whole family even my 2 year old. It was never the same greeting and he never jumped right into being a sales man first always asked how we were doing and how the family was. When it comes to doing work and getting things done when everyone else tells you no, Mike got them to say yes. We were only able to afford a 2006 trailblazer in till we meat Mike and he put us in a 2012 Nissan altima and a Nissan rogue . These cars retain their value they are clean and have nothing wrong with them. You don't drive off the lot and something goes wrong with in a month . Their cars a great and their guys are even better everyone was so nice and played attention to my whole family . Great experience at The Bill Rapp Superstore. While I was there I worked with Jon Wisniewski and he took the time to go over every aspect of the GMC Sierra that I was interested in and answered every question that I had. There was no pressure on me to buy and that was a welcome change from past buying experiences at other dealerships. The sales manager, Keith Naples, took the time to come and greet me when I first arrived there and checked in with me during the whole process. Before leaving he also took the time to make sure everything was all set and that I was good with the purchase of my new truck. I would definitely recommend The Bill Rapp Superstore to anyone looking for a new car as their entire staff was great and really changed my outlook on buying a new car. Anyone can have a great experience with a business when every thing goes well but the true measure of customer service is how a business responds when issues arise. I recently purchased a certified pre-owned sedan from Bill Rapp Subaru and was impressed with the sales staff. The entire experience was pleasant with no high pressure tactics. A few weeks after taking delivery of the vehicle I discovered one minor maintenance issue and one safety issue with a seat belt. I contacted General Manager Rebecca Choquette and her response exceeded expectations. My vehicle was promptly scheduled for complimentary service and seatbelt replacement both free of charge. Rebecca even offered to have my vehicle delivered to me, 40 miles away after service was completed. The service was completed to my satisfaction and by the date promised. I went to Bill Rapp Subaru to buy a used Toyota Corolla, the car was in great condition, and sold at a great price. The car sales person Sam C, who normally does not take new customers, showed me respect and answered all my questions. The only problem I ever had throughout the process was talking to a different person about the numbers, I was given a piece of paper with rates and payments, when I asked to select a specific payment a different sales person declined the offer. My sales person Sam fought hard to get me that price but was unable to, that experience was a little confusing- why would you offer a price to someone on paper and then go and decline it, even with a sales manager signature on it? I had the car for a couple months now and still no issues. I would go back and buy a car from Sam in the future but maybe not from that other sales person who provided false numbers. read more

I bought a used Subaru Forester and from the beginning to the end, the process was great. My sales people were all friendly and not pushy (Michael Conger, Frank McAllister, and Gary Marsh). They were very tolerant of my indecision and did not push me towards buying anything. When I was finally ready to buy and made my decision, the sale and the paperwork went very quickly. The financing piece was smooth too. The sales manager, Jimmy Finnegan, was also very helpful. I really appreciated that there were no games and "let me talk to the manager" crap throughout the process. I would recommend anyone buy a car here. read more

Yet another great experience at Bill Rapp GMC! I arrived about 20 minutes early (due to no construction delays), was greeted immediately and went inside to sign in. Abaigh Byrne was busy so I met Terrance Sours for the first time. He verified my appointment for an inspection and an oil change, told me it would be about an hour and a half, and directed me to the waiting area. I got a glass of water and sat down to a televised car auction of majestic proportions - watching a 1969 superbird sell for 1.3 million, a 1970 superbird sell for 1.6 million and several other magnificent cars sell for hundreds of thousands. Terrance came in about 45 minutes later to let me know my $3,000 2011 Lucerne was done and ready to go - in half the estimated time! Another fantastic trip to Bill Rapp! read more

I'm only having my car serviced through Bill Rapp because I have bought the car less than a year ago. I was told by another service tech that the tires were bald. I have the car less than a year told the tires were new and now they are bald. I have to pay $800.00 for new tires due to not having new tires put on a new car. What I was told by the store manager was that I have put too many miles on the car. The car does not sit in my garage I use it every day to go back and forth to work I have put 10,000 miles on the car, so what tires are supposed to last 20,000 miles if they were new. The Bill Rapp store didn't even care. I would not recommend any one to use their service and find a better service somewhere else. I also will not be buying another car from them. read more

The service department at Bill Rapp Subaru has always done a great job on our vehicle. There's good communication between the teams and the waiting area is comfortable and clean. When we were ready to purchase a vehicle, a friend recommended we go there. The relationship has been very good from sales to service (over four years now), and people go out of the way to talk to you and answer all your questions. Thank you so much Sam C. Bought my first certified new used vehicle from Bill Rapp on Burnet Ave in Syracuse. I traded in my used 2011 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport and purchased a 2022 Subaru Outback Limited. My salesman Sal is an awesome guy, laid back and easy to talk with but don't get me wrong he knows his stuff. And Sal will make your buying experience much more enjoyable than you'd ever expect. I'm not a young guy and I've had over 30 vehicles in my life from trucks to Jeeps to every type of drivetrain and the all wheel drive system that only Subaru has, has given me the best traction and safest vehicle I've ever had and won't ever buy anything else. I brought my car in for a check engine light, and they had it for a week to fix it completely. When I picked it up, I drove about a mile before the check engine light came on again. When I brought it back the next day, the customer service I received was excellent. It was scanned right then and there to figure out what was the problem. I was given a 2016 as a loaner, and the repair was at no cost to me, as it was related to the previous service and should have been taken care of before I picked up my car. They were sincerely apologetic and did everything I could have expected them to do to make it right. I have had no issues with my car since then. I will not hesitate to bring my vehicle to them again for any service needed. read more

I was having a hard time getting financed through anyone my credit is bad, so when I showed up at Bill Rapp I thought for sure it would be another NO but Gary Allen said we work magic here we will get you in a car and sure enough he came back over to me about 10 minutes after I showed up and said we got approved for 2 cars and now I am in a car. My experience was with the body shop, and my contact was with Craig Stephens, who is the shop manager. I had hit a deer at a slow speed, so the damage was not extensive, and the car was drivable. I waited only two days to get an appointment, and only two more to pick up my car. Craig was very cordial, professional and accommodating. The car was repaired to new condition. Perfect. I decided to have some scratches removed on my wife's Volvo. Craig advised me, scheduled me with a one week wait, and again did an excellent job. My experiences with Craig Stephens and the staff at the body shop were as I had hoped they would be. I appreciate their care and will call Craig for any future body work. read more

I took my 1986 Fiero GT in for service. I had a bad oil leak at the head gasket & transmission trouble. I wasn't sure what the actual problem was as the oil leak came after the transmission issue. The Bill Rapp service team treated me like a king. They took care of my car! Because the car is 29 years old, things need to be replaced. I eventually had to bring it back in due to an antifreeze leak, which was promptly fixed. The oil leak tended to be a problem that resurfaced after the initial repair. I purchased a brand new Acadia in April of 2022. I am missing all my chips. I was told by Bill Rapp that I would get them by June of 2022. I have been contacting Becky the general manager about my chips. She keeps telling me she doesn't know. I have called GMC and they also don't know when I will get my chips. It's February 17, 2023 and I still don't have all of my chips. I found out they are selling brand new 2023 Acadia with all their chips just like my vehicle. I fear for my life every time I drive this SUV. I paid full sticker price and I have an INCOMPLETE car. I am very very disappointed that Bill Rapp doesn't care about their customers. read more

My salesperson was Jay Britt and i must admit my experience with him was phenomenal and unlike any other. He is very attentive to my needs and even after the purchase of the car, he goes above and beyond with helping me with any issues I may have.
