    Some of the reviews here are alarming - that was not my experience at all! I am very loyal to another groomer in town, but they were booked weeks out and my babies desperately needed a grooming. I decided to try Billi Bonze from recommendations on the Nextdoor app. They very thoroughly asked me questions about how I like each one to be groomed. They were efficient and called me in 3-4 hours to pick them up - my other groomer would take all day so this was nice. It was expensive, but two golden doodles are expensive anywhere. I was happy with their haircuts, and each of them had friendly staff members walk them out. They were patient with my little one who is a bit of a nut Goldendoodles can be tricky (my big one has had several embarrassing haircuts) but they looked great. I am very picky about who cares for my dogs and I would suggest giving them a try.

    So close to our apartment. Fit us in in three days and on a Saturday! Scout wash washed, blown dry, nails trimmed and filed, anal glands expressed, and walked to make sure she got a potty break! And she was ready to be picked up in 2 hours! We will be going back FOR SURE!

    I was very happy with the haircut, my little Shitzu looked really cute. Once we got home and I started loving on her I noticed several nicks under her left leg, then the same on her back leg, Bathroom area and neck. No one said anything to me about this happening!!!! I am extremely unhappy. One nicked area is an accident but several shows complete incompetence as a groomer or an abusive individual. I will never go here again and would never recommend them. If they were professional, I would have been told immediately.

    I find it hard to believe that Anyone has ever had a bad experience at Billi Bonze Groomers. For decades, (with past fur babies), I have used their services and received nothing short of The Best! Julian Diaz and the Staff have a top notch system, that is far superior to any other groomer that I have encountered. My current dog, Oliver, is a rescue (PTSD and terrified of other dogs and new people). He is small but will fear bite, if not handled with love and care. Unfortunately, there have been a few periods of time, where I was not residing in Dallas and had to go elsewhere. Complete disaster! Biting, hiding, crying, horrid cuts, etc. Upon my return to Dallas, I asked Julian how in the world I could have taken Oliver to 8 other places and had such horrid experiences? Julian told me they don't muzzle a frightened dog, they just get 2 people to hold him, because a muzzle only frightens a dog with anxiety even further. My thanks Julian, the entire staff and the owners of Billi Bonze. Both Oliver and I have never had a Better Experience!! -Dana :)

    As the owner of a professional pet services company, one gets a sense of the level of satisfaction my clients get with any grooming service in the area. Billi Bonze is a top provider for grooming for many of our clients who rave about them and I too use them for my dogs and have for many years. Quality service and professional attitude with a personal, small town touch is why they are the only groomer I recommend , bar none. When we refer our clients to any service be it veterinary, doggie day care or the like, I want to know that they [my clients] will be cared for as that experience reflects back on us. I trust Margaret and her team will do just that. Simply put, I trust them like family. Just a wonderful group to work with.

I get it- they dry hair quickly, but mine is just super sensitive to them. A few weeks ago, I reached out to Furry Tails via email and explained my dog's fears. The gentleman (I believe his name is Jake) quickly responded and assured me that he understood and that he could offer a kennel dryer. I took her in today for her grooming appointment. Of course, she immediately put on her brakes (locked her legs) and I had to coax her into the salon. Thankfully, Jake was waiting at the counter. He remembered Verda Belle's fears and did his best to become friends with her by talking softly to her and offering a treat. Of course, she was making me feel guilty, but I also could see she would be in good hands. She was there about 2.5 hours since it took longer to dry her. He called when she was ready and when I arrived, he assured me that she actually tolerated it all well. Whew! She looks amazing! He groomed her as I had requested and she smelled great. It is wonderful knowing I have found a kind groomer who actually treats animals with gentleness and love!

When I texted to let them know about the nail incident, I was gaslit and told repeatedly by Danielle that her nails were not cut by them - she was insistent on this fact. Then she eventually said they WERE cut during the service. So I was lied to for no reason out the gate. I requested for her to review the footage from the visit and she told me she would follow up with me on 5/25 (3 days ago) and I have not heard anything even after reaching back out today. I was only refunded the additional money they stole from us (accident or not) and the tip. I also saw some reviews mentioning the fact that they only could get a full refund after removing their one star review which is likely why this business has such a good rating. The owner is really unprofessional and it shows. It's unfortunate that this was such a terrible experience because I can't trust anyone to groom my pets ever again.

I called around and no one could do it this week until I called Bark Avenue. Jay was really nice and said he would work around my schedule. He was to arrive at 10a to start the salon services. He was running late but sent me a text to let me know and arrived at 10:30a. He and his mother (his partner was ill) took care of the 3 dogs and they were not nervous or skeptical. That says a lot because these 3 have been through so much and their confidence level is way below the radar. He cleaned everything up, vacuumed and left the place clean. I was able to use the Yelp deal so it only cost me $120 for the 3 dogs, and that included de-shedding for 2 of them (where others wanted to charge up to an additional $25). I would definitely have Jay back to take care of my dog and any other fosters I may have. Thanks, Jay and Mom!

He asked me to text him confirming the appointment time and my address, which I did. Unfortunately today I called them at 9am after never receiving a response to my text. They didn't answer, but called me back at 11 after me texting them asking them to please confirm my appointment since I work full time and would need to come home. He told me that he didn't have any record of my appointment, and even when I sent him the screen shot of me confirming the appointment he told me he never received it and that he was sorry. Long story short- they didn't even offer me another appointment or some way to apologize/rectify for the error (discounted groom? Come by on their day off?) and even though they were polite on the phone I wouldn't recommend such a disorganized professional service to any friends. I mentioned that their Yelp reviews seem to reflect lots of missed appointments and he said it was just the two of them so unfortunately that's why. I really think Bark Avenue should look into hiring an assistant for scheduling, or an online platform for booking appointments. You are losing a lot of dog-loving, paying customers by losing appointments and not offering any kind of consolation for the mistake on your end.

Their prices are a bit lower than others and I LOVE that they offer Dremel nail service, which is perfect for dogs with long quicks. That confirmed my decision to try this place. It has been a challenge finding anyone who can trim one of my pug's long quicks without hurting him, so I was excited. I dropped the pugs off at 1pm and they were ready around 4:45pm on a Friday (they recently changed grooming services to Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays). The pugs were happy upon pickup and continued throughout the evening as well as smelled pleasant. Their nails looked amazing, and no bleeding occurred. The groomer even showed me her Dremel tool and the safety feature on it to protect dogs' nails. It is always a concerning risk to try a new groomer for various reasons, and I'm so glad I chose Pierre's. I also like that I only needed to show updated rabies vaccinations and not additional shots like many places require simply for grooming. The owner Jobbi managed the phones from the first time I called about pricing and services to scheduling to picking up the pugs. He is extremely friendly and conversational; I never felt rushed. Pierre's is in a cute little house right on Lovers Lane with easy access. I highly recommend them for grooming!

The employee working the evening shift on April 17 locked the doors while I was present and did not acknowledge me, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. It would be very helpful for customers if there were clear signage indicating the last wash time. That would set expectations and prevent situations like this from happening. I've noticed that interactions during the evening shift can be inconsistent, and I hope management takes a look at this. A little more communication and customer awareness would go a long way in improving the experience. If you want it with a little more edge (but still professional), I can tweak the tone slightly depending on how strong you want it to land.
