Some of the reviews here are alarming - that was not my experience at all! I am very loyal to another groomer in town, but they were booked weeks out and my babies desperately needed a grooming. I decided to try Billi Bonze from recommendations on the Nextdoor app. They very thoroughly asked me questions about how I like each one to be groomed. They were efficient and called me in 3-4 hours to pick them up - my other groomer would take all day so this was nice. It was expensive, but two golden doodles are expensive anywhere. I was happy with their haircuts, and each of them had friendly staff members walk them out. They were patient with my little one who is a bit of a nut Goldendoodles can be tricky (my big one has had several embarrassing haircuts) but they looked great. I am very picky about who cares for my dogs and I would suggest giving them a try. read more

I did use them for more than a year with no complaints, but when they cut off the dewclaw of my small dog they didn't seem to care. I was very happy with the haircut, my little Shitzu looked really cute. Once we got home and I started loving on her I noticed several nicks under her left leg, then the same on her back leg, Bathroom area and neck. No one said anything to me about this happening!!!! I am extremely unhappy. One nicked area is an accident but several shows complete incompetence as a groomer or an abusive individual. I will never go here again and would never recommend them. I find it hard to believe that Anyone has ever had a bad experience at Billi Bonze Groomers. For decades, (with past fur babies), I have used their services and received nothing short of The Best! Julian Diaz and the Staff have a top notch system, that is far superior to any other groomer that I have encountered. My current dog, Oliver, is a rescue (PTSD and terrified of other dogs and new people). He is small but will fear bite, if not handled with love and care. Unfortunately, there have been a few periods of time, where I was not residing in Dallas and had to go elsewhere. Complete disaster! Biting, hiding, crying, horrid cuts, etc. Upon my return to Dallas, I asked Julian how in the world I could have taken Oliver to 8 other places and had such horrid experiences? Julian told me they don't muzzle a frightened dog, they just get 2 people to hold him, because a muzzle only frightens a dog with anxiety even further. I had high hopes for Billi Bonze when I took my dog in for his first grooming. The two men that run the business are very friendly. I had taken pictures of how I wanted my dog's haircut. Usually, this is the time the owner speaks with the groomer who will be cutting their dogs hair. This is where owner meets groomer to establish a relationship and make sure the expectations are clear. Not at Billi Bonze. The groomers are tucked away in the back, out of sight. The third and final time I took my dog in for his monthly cut, I understood why. The groomer did not speak English, sorry, this is a big red flag for me. Who trained the groomer, or did he mow lawns and that qualified him/her for a job as a groomer? I would like to know that the person cutting my 13 lb. dogs' hair understands my expectations, I am paying over $100 for a dog grooming before tip, I would like to feel confident that we are all on the same page. One final mention. Drop the dog off at 9:30 AM and still not ready by 6:30 PM. Given the poor quality of the haircut, and length of time he is there, the ROI is unacceptable. There is nothing special about this place. Nothing. Given the empty display cases and smell as you enter, I would hate to see what my little man had to put up with in the back for 9 hours. read more

This was the first time I took my dogs to this groomer, was not at all satisfied with our experience here. When I brought them in they told me it would take 6-8 hours for them to be groomed when I had a appointment at 10:30 am. I left them and sure enough they took 8 hours. We asked for a schnauzer haircut and none of them looked like they had a schnauzer haircut there was not definition. These people care more of quantity then quality of haircut. They said to us they cut 20-40 dogs a day. I wasn't satisfied with one of my dogs haircuts at all so I brought her back. We explained to them we just wanted a even shave on her and he came back out with her and he still didn't listen to what we said. They took her back and then came out and told us we had to wait another hour because they needed to get other dogs out at a certain time. But when we brought our dogs it took 8 hours, didn't make sense. Would not recommend this place. If I could give this shop a 0 I would. read more

Okay, long story short. Moved to dallas. Researched grooming places forever. So paranoid because you read horror stories. My vet Katy trail animal hospital recommended this place and I had never heard of it. They had barely any reviews and read something about urine smell. She insisted they were great so I made an appointment. They were so so sweet upon my arrival. They don't just keep all the dogs in the lobby waiting around to get checked in. They get right to it. I didn't smell urine?? It smelt like any dog place. So cute. Lots of toys and my dog is so odd around other dogs and it went great. Told them my westie gets shaved and just to trim my lab retriever and I'm in love. I will go back forever. I never write reviews but I felt compelled to. Side note: the best part is usually places say drop off at 8 am and pick up at 3 pm..... they asked me when I wanted to come and I dropped off at 8:15 am and they said I could come back at 11 am..... that's awesome read more

I had a few good experiences here but cons outweigh any pros. Brought in my poodle for a cleanup cut. Within 30 minutes of dropping him off, I got a phone call that said it would be $100 to brush him out if I wanted a haircut, otherwise he would be shaved. Now I understand matted dogs, but this trip just was not one of those situations. Once I got my dog home, he was knot free in under 10 minutes. The "manager" also explained that she didn't really try to get the knots out prior to calling to tell me about the up charge. My guess is they overbooked themselves and didn't want to do anything other than the bare minimum. Such a scam. This place has also run late and charged me for extra for "pet sitting." Save yourself the frustration of lazy groomers solely looking for an extra buck and go somewhere else. read more

I've been very disappointed in Billy Bonze. I took my dog in on Friday to be groomed and they told me they cleaned her ears and did the gland expression. I then took her to the vet three days later and was told that her ears had not been cleaned. In fact, they were infected, and the glands had not been expressed. I don't like being charged for services that are not provided and I don't like being lied to by service providers. I will not be returning to Billi Bonze. read more

I took my dog here a couple times. Last time his cut was totally uneven his ears were about an inch off and he had a nasty cut on the inside of his leg which the vet couldn't guarantee was from the grooming but said it was highly likely. Won't be going back. read more

I am beyond upset. Something seemed odd when I came in to pick up our dog, they were very quiet. I picked up our cavapoo today and there were two gashes in her legs and her face wasn't trimmed. Up until now we have had no issues but hurting our dog and not telling us about it is unacceptable. I was told that our dog may have some sensitivity in her arm pit area due to removal of one mat, but not her legs. This is inexcusable. Her face wasn't even trimmed. Do NOT go here. I have been taking my miniature schnauzer to Billi Bonze for 3 years. They groom him beautifully. However, when I came to pick him up on our last visit, they told me they had nicked him under his eye but it didn't seem to bother him and he was fine. They said they'd only charge me for the bath. But when I got home and saw his eye in full sunlight, I could see the bottom lid had been cut. It turned out that it had to be surgically repaired. They should have called me as soon as it happened and offered to help me take care of it. In short, we won't be going back there. read more

I do not recommend grooming services here. The nicks on my dog's feet are still healing. To start - The person checking me in did not seem to know much at all about standard poodles. She took a picture of a picture on my phone to show the groomer what his haircut looks like. He has been to the groomer many times, so I was surprised when she said it would take five hours. (They did not call when he finished early as I had requested.) When I picked him up, the person at the front was on his cell phone. He did not look up or say hello; he simply slid out my dog's bill. The groomer saw him but still nobody said a word. I asked how long he had been done and why they didn't call. He said they 'can't call 60 dog owners' which was another surprise since I was the only one there. It took a very long time for the groomer to bring my dog out. I did not see the uneven layers of hair, the nick on his chin, the razor rash on his stomach, or the MANY nicks on his feet. I called to let them know what I had found. They replied that the groomer should have told me about the cuts, but I want to know why there were so many at all. read more

I've been taking my dogs to Billi Bonze since it opened. They do an excellent job for all three of my dogs. The dogs always smell great! The staff listens to instructions because the cut will change from season to season. If there are any concerns they are very helpful and remedy the situation. I've always felt comfortable with the staff and the service. I won't take my fur babies anywhere else. They are competitive with larger dog grooming services. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They did an awesome job with my Chinese type Tibetan mastiff . His hair is super difficult to maintain and we'd looked and tried plenty of people before finally "lucking up" on billi bonze. They did such an awesome job with his hair. Most people said it was so matted that we should cut it, but they were able to get the matts out and make it look beautiful. read more

Absolutely horrible!! I brought my rough collie for a groom and asked for a light trim. They practically shaved him!! Dog is unrecognizable. The entire cut is visibly uneven and there is a large area near his ear that is actually shaved. This was against my specific instructions!! Never go here! read more

I took my golden here per a recommendation from a friend and I live close by. Big mistake. Not only did they not shave her to my request, they cut her badly above her eye and didn't bother to tell me about it until I was putting her in my car. They also put her in too small of a kennel so that she could barely walk that evening due to stiffness. I decided to do the right thing and call the store manager the next day. They didn't even apologize or offer any kind of refund. I will never return! read more

I've confirmed they do NOT give the dogs water or take them out. My dog, while coming back well groomed, is absolutely dying to relieve himself and stands at the water bowl for an abnormally long time drinking when getting home - I often bring water in a bottle and he begs for it when getting in the car. 6 hours in a crate with no water or ability to go out is unacceptable when paying $75 for a 12 lb dog to be washed and clipped, especially in this heat in TX. We will not be going back after having been clients for 5 years. read more

After trying the groomers at an well-known chain store and it always ending with one of my dog's being sick, I asked around and several people recommended Billi Bonze. The prices seem to be in line with a lot of other similar places so we gave it a try. It was great! Instead of my dogs being afraid of the groomers, they love to go to the groomers. The staff genuinely seems to love the dogs they take care of and the quality of the cut is great. They've never looked cuter! read more

Absolutely love this place! I have a maltese and they do an amazing job. I've tried several other groomers in the area and we've by far had the best experience here. They are very friendly and groom just how I asked. My dog is afraid of blow dryers and because of this they keep her in the office to help with her anxiety. Definitely recommend this place! read more
