    I purchased a JennAir microwave from ABW, and unfortunately the experience did not reflect the…read morelevel of service the company advertises. When the unit arrived defective, I contacted ABW immediately. On April 22nd, I was told the manufacturer had denied the exchange and that I should proceed with repair. No escalation was made, and no explanation was provided as to why a brand-new unit did not qualify for exchange. I added management to the email thread on May 5th, but the issue was still not escalated and no one from management responded. Over the next several weeks, ABW continued to direct me back to the warranty and to the manufacturer, rather than reviewing or advocating the case internally. Communication became inconsistent, and even after I clarified how I preferred to be addressed, responses reverted to generic greetings. For a company that promotes white-glove, personalized service, the lack of attention to detail was noticeable. JennAir ultimately reviewed the case directly, approved the exchange, and completed the full replacement before ABW's scheduled repair appointment. ABW continued to send repair scheduling emails for the defective unit even after the manufacturer had already resolved the issue. At no point did ABW acknowledge the replacement, cancel the repair, or address my original question. In the end, the manufacturer resolved the problem entirely. My experience with ABW reflected limited follow-through, no escalation, and minimal ownership of the issue. I hope this review helps others understand what to expect.

Bray. Customer Service Manager said there was nothing she could do. It's up to their vendor. When we purchased the Service Contract it simple stated 5 year extended service. There were no Terms and Conditions or brochures.

First call of the day? It's now 4pm and you didn't have the decency to call me? And when I call you out on that you imply I'm a horrible person for not caring that someone "had an accident, is now in the hospital." He spoke slowly to me like I didn't get what he was saying. He was rude, unprofessional, and obviously fits right in at this complete joke of a company. I work in DC, I had to take leave and rush home to make the appointment window. No respect whatsoever for a customer's time. I'm disgusted. Hope your technician is ok, but I have a feeling that story is as much a pile of crap as your company is.

I bought their 1 yr service contract - they discounted the price of the fireplaces by the cost of a one year service contract and extended the warranty - so why not? It is now the end of the one year period and I want to cancel and cut all ties with this horrible firm. They are refusing to cancel the contract - even though I have made all payments. So now we have to go to the credit card company and courts to get them to stop billing. From A to Z, this has been a horrible experience. Stay away from this company!

They said there was a $49 assessment fee to come out and look at my HVAC. (See attached screenshot of Yelp chat). When they got there, they assured me they could take care of the problem and would provide a quote. The visit ended with them charging me $219 somehow. I disputed the additional $170 with my credit card company because this is FRAUD. Even by their own invoice, they did nothing to earn anything past the $49 assessment fee and even that they don't deserve. They NEVER provided me with a written quote. Because I live in a condo building, they had someone call me back and say I would need to pay $10-15k to rent a crane so they could replace my HVAC system and that didn't include any materials, labor etc. Just the crane. They also said they would have to cut through my upstairs neighbor's unit for the repair and that I would be responsible for all of the costs of demolition and restoration. At the time, I was in a different state taking care of an extremely sick family member and when I asked clarifying questions about how they were going to do the HVAC replacement they just kept throwing out bigger and bigger numbers until I was deeply distressed. $10-15k for a crane, another $7k to run some tests on the lines that run to and from the HVAC system, an overall ludicrous quote of $40k--to replace an HVAC system!! They could've just said they don't want the job. They could've even refrained from following up. Instead they needlessly put me in distress and unjustly tried to take $219 from me while providing NOTHING in exchange. I ended up going with a different company who didn't try to take advantage of a young homeowner and didn't need to get a crane. Please don't go with this lazy, crooked company. Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves. P.S. I also had to ask for a time frame (see other screenshot). They said 9-11. Then I got a call at 7 am that day saying someone was on their way. I was not at all prepared and told them they had to come later.
