I usually don't take the time to do reviews-but the service I received at Ace Truckbox is deserving of a few minutes of my time-it's the least I could do. I needed to get my SUV wired to tow a trailer and called around. I called one place who told me they were booking out two weeks out (I needed it in three days!), one place told me that it was going to cost in the $400-$500 range, (over double of what I ended up paying) another place told me thar working on Honda's was above his pay grade (I can't make this stuff up) and the Honda dealership couldn't even find the part number for what I needed?!? Then I called Ace Truckbox. Matt was fan-tas-tic! He encouraged me to come by to confirm what I was going to need, and when I did, he told me they could do it. He warned me that because of the distribution backlog out of their control, the part might not come in time for my deadline. I appreciated the heads up and figured out a backup plan if this didn't come to fruition. Luckily the part did come in the next day and when he called to tell me the good news, Matt sounded genuinely happy that he was going to be able to get the job done in time for us. I dropped the car off the next day and not only did they get it done quickly--they charged me LESS than the quoted amount because the job ended up not taking as long as predicted. What?!? Awesome experience here! I had a very expensive KNAACK Tool box installed on a carrier behind my Chinook RV for extra secure storage. Chris and his team were fantastic. I needed it installed but didn't have an appointment and they made time for me and got the job done. I would recommend them to anyone. I've spent thousands of dollars here in the past few decades outfitting several truck with tools boxes for our family business. That's my preface. My last visit was for a simple cylinder lock assembly for a toolbox(which I purchased for them). I found the lock assembly on amazon for $14 but I figured I'd buy it here as I like to support and buy local. 2 stars for having the product in stock. 0 stars for the OUTRAGEOUS markup. I paid the $42 for the item. But they will never get my money again. I needed that lock cylinder. I paid the price. However, they won't be getting anymore of my business. It pains me to write this review because Ace has always been my go to business for weatherguard tool boxes and replacement parts for my business. My most recent experience was a complete waste of time and fuel in my vehicle. Came in to purchase replacement springs and lock sets for some of my service vehicles weather guard boxes. Got what I needed, I noticed a bedliner on the wall and spoke to the employee about what was available for my vehicle. The employee insisted that I must bring in the vehicle so they could look at it and take some measurements to determine the correct model. I asked about looking in the computer because I knew all the dimensions, make and model of the vehicle and was bringing vehicle in really necessary. He insisted that was the only way they would order and complete sale. Since I do not live nearby and drive a company vehicle I made plans to bring my personal vehicle in on Saturday. I live about a half hour away and I think you can guess what happened. I drove there came in and talked with a different employee and he said entirely not necessary to bring in vehicle. He spent less than 3 minutes looking in computer to tell me model for my truck is not available and is on back order. He apologized for employee who gave me incorrect information. As you could imagine I was pretty upset that I wasted my time and fuel in my diesel truck driving there. Ace has to do a better job training their employees to provide customers correct information and not wasting peoples time and money. If he didn't know the proper procedure or how to look in computer he needs to tell the customer that or ask management for help. read more

I bought a used truck recently it's a 2002 Chevy Silverado extra cab LONG BED and needed to get it ready for work so I went to ace truck box and ordered some bed rail caps, a full tailgate cover and some step bars. I met Ronny and Richard they were both knowledgable and helpful. Took my phone number and called me later that day with a quote. I did some internet searching to see what I could come up with meanwhile. When Ronny called me, I agrees to the price cause it was less than I could find very reasonable. He told me it would be just a couple of days. When I picked them up everything was in boxes and Ronny loaded them up so I could take home and install myself (easy enough). I installed the end rails 5 minutes, tail gate cover 5 minutes, the brackets for the bars took me about an hour and a half lots of parts. I pulled out the bars and put them on mind you I did this alone, and to my surprise the bars were short. They were to be tire to tire and they were not. I called Ronny and he said he would check into it. Meanwhile I took the model number off the box and searched it on the internet. Wow it was for a short bed. Ronny called me back and said the people they ordered it from made a mistake. He would have the new ones in a couple of days. He asked me if I still had the box. Well I said it was cut up into pieces getting the bars out he said no problem. I figured they were going to take care of it so I left the bars on parked the truck and waited. I didn't have time to go back when he called I was out of town bit a week later I returned with my truck and the bars still on and a new manager was there. He asked me what he can do for me and I retold him the whole story. He went to Richard and told him the story and Richards first reaction was "if the bars were too short then why the @$&% sis he put them on?" The manager returned and said "I'm sorry but the best I could do is offer you a 50% discount on the new bars." I then relayed to him that Ronny told me the people you ordered it from said it was their mistake. Then he asked Ronny if this was true and Ronny said well yes. So the manager went to talk to Richard about it. He then came back and said they would exchange them. I was happy at this point cause I didn't do a thing wrong and it was obvious they didn't do anything wrong it was the suppliers fault. I asked if I could change them there in the parking lot. He said no it was unsafe and offered to change them for me or I could take them home and come back. Since I was pressed for time and I live an hour away I asked how much would that cost. He said it would be $45. So I let them do it. While I waited the manager apologized to me saying things like "we should have never let you leave without checking that it was the right model number" I thought well, if you order long bed rails you should get long bed bars right? 5 minutes later they were done. The manager said since they both used the same brackets they just had to change the bars it would only be $25. Being a business owner myself I was happy that they listened to me, resolved the situation, and charged me very little to fix the problem. Some may say that maybe they shouldn't have charged me at all but it's not the installers fault or their fault it was the suppliers fault. I sent a request and to my surprise they got back to me within 10 minutes late on a Saturday night. Monday morning we finalized numbers and to my surprise he out-priced many other competitors including online retailers. Very friendly and easy to deal with. Installation was quick and painless. I had my hitch installed yesterday. They started on time and finished in the one hour time quoted. It was nice that they had a couch to sit in and I also picked up lunch at the taco truck located in the parking lot. Very friendly service! They even got together a converter (so I can use my current bike rack 1" with the standard class lll hitch I had installed). They also pulled together a few pins as options with and without locking mechanisms. I opted for the locking pins and they suggested two different sets that operated on the same key - very useful suggestion! read more

This is based on the service received, only. I came in, 5:54 p.m., to purchase a four way flat output wiring harness. However, when I entered the store, the employee working the store turned me away saying that they were closed. The store closes at 6:00p.m. So, a sale that would have taken few minutes to complete didn't happen. The guy could have been slightly more respectful. read more

We were in search of a trailer hitch to get installed to bring our son back to school in Nebraska. We were on a short time schedule to get it installed. We stopped by Ace Truckbox Center and were greeted by Guzman and Chris. We explained what we were looking to do and he warned us the supply of trailer hitches was very scarce for our vehicles but they would look to see what they had available. They actually found one on one of their supplier's websites and we said perfect, we would take it and schedule the install. They said they wanted to call their supplier first thing on Monday because the supplier was not open on the weekend. I received a call from Chris on Monday morning with bad news that the count on their supplier's site was inaccurate and they were out of stock. I asked if I found one at another online site if they could install it for us and they said that wouldn't be a problem. I was able to find a hitch and got it delivered a week before we needed to leave on our trip. They were able to install the hitch for us and did a great job. After the hitch was installed and we got the trailer we were towing, we noticed there wasn't a way to lock the trailer to the hitch. We went back to talk to either Chris or Guzman to see if they could help with a solution to lock the trailer, but Chris was not in and Guzman was busy with other customers. We waited for a short time to talk to Guzman but another employee came up to us and tried to help us out, but they didn't have a lock in stock to help us. What impressed me more was a short time later Guzman called us to see if he could help us because he saw us waiting but was in the middle of a transaction so couldn't address us and he wanted to check in to make sure we were ok. Great customer service! Guzman went above and beyond to help us out and we greatly appreciate it. read more
