We were never informed about this charge, nor did we see any sign or notice stating that gratuity would be automatically included. As a result, we ended up tipping on top of the 20% charge without realizing it. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told this was their normal policy. I've been to many bars and restaurants, including late-night establishments, and whenever an automatic gratuity is added, it's typically disclosed to customers beforehand. Just a heads-up for future customers: carefully review your bill before adding an additional tip, as gratuity may already be included. Transparency about extra charges would have made for a much better experience.
