Billy Bob's is not just a club, its a city made for fun. We got the chance to go and see our bud Drake Milligan perform NYE and we had the best time. No bull riding because of the show, but sold out and crazy. Food and drinks were not only very reasonable, but delicious. The other thing I noticed was how family friendly it was. Plus servers everywhere so no long lines and table service when needed. All in all a great night and a bucket list spot. read more

This place is very much a spectacle design for tourists but clearly serve some locals as well. I was here with the large group, who had catered food with an open bar in a private room, so I didn't really get the normal experience here. I didn't drink or eat anything other than some iced tea, which was just right, so I can only really review the atmosphere. I appreciated the large parking lot across the street with free parking Monday through Thursday since I was there on a Thursday night. Even caught a golf cart that drove me over to the front door of the place. There's a lot of history in this building, from the bedazzled saddle hanging like a disco ball over the dance floor to the museum like display of infographics and autograph guitars. Excluding the room I was in where I was one of the younger people surrounded by mostly 45 plus year olds, when I walked out towards the dance floor I immediately felt like one of the oldest people in the place. 18 to 25-year-old co-eds dominated as far as the eye could see. Debated leaving a review but the customer service here really hurt my feelings, and I felt was unnecessarily rude and condescending. My work rented out this venue for our annual meeting. I ordered a Shirley Temple, and specified "with ginger ale." The male bartender was condescending and rude, saying, "Do you KNOW what's even in a Shirley temple?" Yes, it's ginger ale, grenadine, and a cherry. "No, it's Sprite and grenadine and a lime." I disagreed and he pushed, "I've been a bartender for 40+ years and owned X amount of bars, I think I know what a Shirley Temple is sweetheart. Next time order a ginger ale with grenadine." And then served my drink in a styrofoam cup instead of a normal glass like everyone else, which to me felt like a way to make me feel infantilized. To the bartender --there are regional differences in how a modern day Shirley Temple is made. Some regions favor Sprite, but the North East (where I am from) favors the original historic recipe, which uses Ginger Ale. I specified this to try to make your job easier, so not sure why you grabbed this as an opportunity to be a condescending douchebag. The Shirley Temple was invented in the 1930s, Sprite came out in the late 1950s, so despite your forty years of bartending experience you are making it incorrectly, (sweetheart). Maybe get off your high horse and focus more on customer service, you genuinely ruined my evening for no reason. I don't recommend this establishment, definitely had a churn and burn mentality. Had some beers and some bbq, and though it was a Saturday afternoon and not very crowded, it was fun to go and see. They've had many legendary performers, and it's cool to see how they have commemorated that history. I don't know how to line dance and I'm not very into country music, but I had to come and check it out and it was very much worth it! They have live professional bull riding performances every Friday & Saturday night at 8:30 & 9:30pm. Admission is $6.00 cash, at the arena. Fun place to spend a few hours. Came here on our recent trip since it's one of the most famous honky tonk, had to check it out. They do charge a $5 entrance fee even when there's nothing going on. The place is huge, there's multiple dance floors and lots of bars to get drinks. There's also pool tables. We played a round of pool and grab a drink. Prices are reasonable. The wall of hands was super cool to see, that's probably the best part of this place. I would come back in the evening to dance the night away. read more

On my most recent trip to Fort Worth, I visited the iconic Billy Bob's Texas in the Fort Worth Stockyards. The largest honky tonk in the world, we checked it out for a concert on a Friday evening. We parked at one of the paid lots close to the country bar. Billy Bob's has been around forever. Pretty much all of the country legends, and even folks like B.B. King, have played here. Garth Brooks played here when he was first starting out for pennies on the dollar. One of the things that will first stand out is how large Billy Bob's is. So many areas to explore. There's a wall of fame with handprints of all of the stars who have performed at Billy Bob's. There's a gift shop. Bars and bars and bars as far as the eye can see. Multiple food areas serving BBQ and more. A dance floor for two-stepping. A stage for live music. And plenty of seating. I had a great experience and enjoyed soaking it all in. Really the only thing I didn't like is not their fault. I have never seen so many mullets in my life. It shocked me. Looks like mullets are in right now with the youngn's. I have been a longtime Billy bobs fan. Tonight changed things for me -specifically because of a bartender working at the turnpike concert Saturday night. At the beginning of the concert, a girl in front of us was experiencing a legitimate medical emergency. She was not intoxicated and was passing out. We attempted to explain we needed help and she instantly snapped at us and rolled her eyes. I had to then wave to a manager and explain it was an actual issue and she continued to act annoyed. She ended up having to be on a stretcher to exit the building. Incredibly rude and wish I could report her to management. read more

Huge venue inside. Sadly I visited on an evening when there wasn't a band playing. But being inside, seeing all the famous handprints, made me want to stick around town just to see any dang band play here. I wanted to hear the acoustics. Feel the music! And the night scene outside must be off the hook when there's a band because there's so much to see (and drink) when you walk around nearby. It was even bustling on an off night. I wasn't sure what this place was when we walked in. We had just arrived in Texas and I had been wanting some BBQ! We found ourselves in the area and thought we'd give it a try. The cover charge was lame, $3 and for no reason. There wasn't anything going on. No live music or anything. $3 just to walk into the place. I know it's not much but it was more the principal. There were a bunch of pool tables but they were $2 a game. So on top of the cover charge you also have to pay to play. Whatever. We walked down to the restaurant and got some food. At this point I had pretty low expectations. I knew this wasn't one of the BBQ monthly places to eat so I wasn't expecting that level of bbq. I was actually pleasantly surprised. My family and I recently visited Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth, and while we enjoyed parts of the experience, there were some drawbacks. Billy Bob's Honky Tonk is Texas' version of Disneyland. I don't know how many people come to DFW just to visit Billy Bob's. But it's got nearly everything you'd expect in such a place, a lot of it, is very popular among both tourists and locals, and is quite expensive. The major difference between Billy Bob's and Disneyland is this: The Mouse Kingdom is pretty small, only 65 acres, so the compact layout makes it quick to get from one end of the park to the other. In contrast, Billy Bob's markets itself as "the world's largest honky tonk", and it looks the part. When you first walk in, you feel like you can get lost in here. Indeed, when it's time to leave, it can be difficult to find the exit. You can drink. You can dance on two dance floors. You can watch a concert. You can drink. You can view the cement hand prints on the wall, just like in Hollywood. You can eat. You can drink. You can play pool. You can get your photo taken on a mechanical bull. You can ride a mechanical bull. You can drink. You can even watch a real bull riding competition. Did I mention that you can drink? You can also have a nice, quiet dinner with the love of your life, but that needs to be before 6pm when there are no crowds. There are also a few rooms that are more private if you have a company event to hold. I had a Cowboy Cubano sandwich and Coke, the sandwiches come with drinks, and it came out to nearly $20, roughly 40% more than at other places, and that was on top of the $3 cover charge for coming in a little early (remember what I wrote about expensive?). The food was very good, and the fries did the unusual accomplishment of having tasty spice without needing ketchup (I'm hard to please with fries). As a dancer, I went to the lessons on Wednesday night. I expected line dancing, and that's what I got. I did not expect ONLY line dancing. Although I maintain my hate for country music, I would have gone out there with a girl who's fine enjoying a song with a stranger on the dance floor. The cowgirls were there, including those wearing rhinestone-covered boots and leather pants and big hair. But for nearly an hour after the lessons, there were only four times I saw a couple out there doing their own thing. And line dancing is about knowing the choreography for that specific song, not thinking up your own choreography and giving your partner a great time. Billy Bob's on Wednesday does not look to be as busy as Billy Bob's on Friday or Saturday. I saw lots of people there having a good time with each other, some large groups and some couples. And, naturally, lots of drinks. Bottom line: The Fort Worth Stockyards is the heart of Fort Worth, and if you're there at the right time of night and want to see why everything's big in Texas, Billy Bob's Honky Tonk is only a few carless blocks away from the center of activity on Exchange Street. And it's no Mickey Mouse operation. read more

One of my all time fav venues in Ft Worth. Go see the amateur rodeo, walk through the mini museum and see what stars have played there, or jump on any one of their huge dance floors. I definitely see why Billy Bob's was considered famous here in Fort Worth. The atmosphere is super Texan. The place featured a variety of arcade games, pool tables, and even a professional bull-riding show for $6. There were various bars and a restaurant inside as well. My margarita was super yummy. We ordered food at the venue next door at the 81 club which was rented out for an event. It was all so so yummy. The brisket was super tender, it almost melted in your mouth. The chicken was smoky. The coleslaw wasn't too sweet. The potato salad was super delicious. The bun served as a nice complement to everything. The peach cobbler was also super yummy, featuring a layer of sugar on top and a delicious crust at the bottom. There was live country music and a dance floor as well. I came to Billy Bob's for line dancing and to spend time with my younger sisters, who I rarely get to see since I live 12 hours away. I waited in line, bought a ticket, and only after entering was I told I needed to show ID. I had no intention of drinking and just asked to be marked as a minor, but the staff member was rude and refused to accommodate. What made it worse was watching others walk in after me without being asked for ID simply because they "looked" over 21. There were no visible signs at the entrance or on the website indicating that an ID was required just to enter. Additionally, I witnessed staff harassing minors who were simply trying to use the bathroom while waiting for their parents, and parents were being scolded for stepping onto the dance floor--even when trying to follow the rule about staying within arm's reach of their kids. If Billy Bob's wants to continue running line dancing events in a bar setting, they need to reconsider how they handle minors and clearly communicate policies beforehand. The experience was frustrating and unnecessarily hostile. read more

Went to Billy Bob's on a Wednesday Night in mid-summer. It was "ladies night" so it was free admission for the girls. I would say it works, because at least on this night, it was at least 2-1 females. That's not saying there weren't men there.... There was, and it didn't take long for a few to make their moves on the girls in our group! I'm pretty sure this was the biggest bar I've ever been in, so it takes all lot of people to make it seem busy. With that said, the dance floor did get pretty packed when the right songs were playing. Otherwise, it wasn't to populated in any other part of the establishment. The big let down, the place closed at 11pm? I was pretty surprised that last call came at about 10:15. Weird!!! Was expecting more, but it was cool to see as a tourist. Went with a large group of friends and our girlfriends wanted to take photos of riding the bull. As they were taking the photo that THEY PAID FOR a lady asked us to move. We did and moved further down but wanted to be close to our girlfriends since the bar was EXTREMELY PACKED AND we already had other older creepy guys hitting on them. The lady didn't like that apparently and had security kick us out. We asked security why they were kicking us out and they had no idea. We told them we need to tell our girlfriends that we were made to leave and said nope get the hell out. Another woman employee threatened us when we were trying to go to the ticket office to get a refund AFTER THE SECURITY OFFICER TOLD US TO GO THERE TO GET A REFUND. Luckily, we weren't holding our girlfriends' phones and we were able to call them to tell them to leave with us. WILL NEVER BE BACK. WAY TOO CROWDED AND THE STAFF GIVES ZERO CARE ABOUT THEIR PATRONS. I mean get real, who ever heard of a saloon that can fit 6,000 patrons into a 100,000 square foot entertainment center? Billed as "The World's Largest Honky Tonk" you'll see lots of bar space, restaurants, concert stage, a big dance floor, video games, pool tables, and even live bull riding. Their performance stage has seen all of the great ones, and in fact you can see their cement handprints on the wall -I saw B.B. King, Glen Campbell, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, and Kacey Musgraves just to name a few. Some of the handprint plaques have been plastered over with lipstick stains, so you know who the most popular artists are right away. Even cooler is the Guitar Bar with a display of 75 guitars that were autographed by entertainers who've played there. . My group had dinner and drinks there, posed on the bull for photos and had a mass line dancing lesson. To say we had a blast at Billy Bob's is a Texas sized understatement. read more

Only some of the bars and food were open but we still had a good time and I can see the potential for when it's packed. There are multiple bars, a large dance floor and stage, a gift shop, bull riding, pool tables, and they serve food. I was able to catch a concert and the live music was great. Drinks are a little pricey but I guess that's to be expected for such a large venue. I was really looking forward to a great night at Billy Bob's for the Cooper Alan concert, but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. We drove all the way up from Austin, bought six tickets plus four VIP tickets, and even got two buckets of beer to enjoy the show. Everything was going great--Cooper Alan put on an amazing performance--but things took a turn when my husband and I started dancing to our wedding song. Apparently, that was a problem because we got in trouble for it. Seriously? In a place that calls itself the "world's largest honky tonk," you'd think dancing would be encouraged. We are sitting at the little restaurant inside Billy Bob's, first of all they charge $3 for daily admission and this place is quite empty so that's poor!! We decided to grab some lunch while we are here .. and it is really terrible! The barbecue is very dry and leathery and the sausage is completely dried out- it looks and feels like yesterday's leftovers!! It was my first night ever in Texas and upon driving up to Billy Bob's...I knew we were at an authentic Texas spot. I've never been to a place like this before and I would definitely go back. It was so fun especially coming on a Wednesday for their Ladies' Night where women get free entry while men pay $2 or $3. Cheap fee for a great night out with so many things to do. My favorite was learning how to line dance by just hopping on the dance floor and following everyone's literal foot steps. We unfortunately missed the lessons from 7 to about 8, but we got to dance along at the open dance floor until around 10. There was a reserved lesson for at least 20 coworkers, but I still got to watch and dance on the sidelines. Then they opened up the dance floor again. This place is so big that there was a comedy show happening at the other end of the building. The food was decent. I had the wings and fries which were seasoned well, but nothing was mind blowing. It was cool to see young adults (some looked like older teens) to elderly folk enjoying themselves on the dance floor. I saw plenty of cowboy hats, boots and flannel jackets haha. Some music played included Ed Sheeran, Khalid, Justin Bieber and of course country. I also got to buy some post cards from the gift shop. read more

I was apalled by the lack of safety in the establishmen. I witnessed at least 6 girls (seemingly underage ) that were roofied and dragged to the bathroom. Along with the unsafe environment, I saw the managers verbally abuse their staff by calling them the N word when they mispoured a drink. A place like this should not be tolerated in the year of our lord 2025. I pray for the poor girls that have fallen victim to the workers lackluster attention to safety. read more
