Me and my friends came here to visit Revere and we were all hungry. Then we found Billy C. Well I searched it and we loved it. The service was great and the food, we weren't expecting such large portions but gosh we were happy! Everything was finger licking good and my friend who got the lobster was in heaven. Complete disappoinment tonight. Not sure what they were trying to sell tonight, but it wasn't Chinese food. I ordered delivery. The beef teriyaki was good as usual, but it was slightly cold. The chicken fingers were good and hot. But the spareribs on-the-bone and the chicken wings were both horrible. (See photo) The spareribs were country style ribs with barely any flavor on them. Never had a country style Chinese sparerib from them in the past. Weird .. The chicken wings were absolutely NOT Chinese wings. They were plain chicken wings that had been grilled. I've ordered wings from them many times over the years and never had this problem. Bizarre... I'm hoping it was just an "off" night. Will order again in a month or so and see what arrives. If it happens again, no more Billy C food for us. read more

But a new owner took over and he has done a great job in freshness off food new staff which is very good. The drinks were excellent and the food is made to order and very fresh. A classic immigrant run no-fuss service, if you know what I mean. Maybe it was the time I went or just Revere in general, but not many Asian folks eating there. Still, a great sign that all the servers were Chinese aunties. Surprisingly they do both sushi and more traditional Cantonese Chinese fare. Normally I would find it a bit sketchy, but I had seen that Komorebi (a Kaiseki style sushi place that basically only does pickup/dropoff at the time of writing) lets you pick up from here? There's also a sushi bar where you can sit and watch the chef prepare, although the omakase menu is a bit more limited than dedicated sushi restaurants. In summary, the fish is probably fine contrary to what some of the other reviews may suggest. Ordered an unagi don, which had an extremely generous portion of eel and a less generous but still satisfying portion of rice (most places will serve the proportions the other way around). Also ordered some restaurant quality eggplant, which smelled and tasted amazing, with lots of leftovers to spare. The fortune cookies after are always a welcome sight. A bit of a confusing experience overall but came away pleasantly surprised and definitely very full. Maybe not worth a trip via the Pike on its own, but if you're in the area after a beach day, I'd definitely recommend. read more

Used the online website which was easy to use for take out because the idea of trying to park in the front seemed impossible, which it was. I had to double park to run in quickly for my order. Their menu mentions a nearby parking lot at Tufts but I was unsure where that was. However it does look like they have a bar area and in the back an open dining room. I ordered and Indonesian dish which was chicken, snap peas and pineapple and felt like it was overpriced compared to their other dishes/prices for what it was. It did taste good. The fried rice shrimp are little guys but the portion is huge. The rice bit overcooked but they gave this duck/sweet sauce I liked to mix it with. Billy T's (Now Billy C's) used to be great, but now it SUCKS! Under new ownership. I think i got food poisoning from this place! Also - the young guy who works the takeout counter operates this business in bad faith. He cuts corners for his customers and better yet probably does the same thing in the kitchen. My younger 3 year old cousin has more professionalism and class in her pinky toe than he does in his entire body. Wont be back! read more

I stopped here for dinner and the first thing I noticed is that it is on a busy street and there wasn't enough parking. Luckily, I found a spot to park in front of the restaurant but if you go there when it's busy, you're out of luck. You'll probably have to park at the back of a physical therapy place next door. The restaurant we're doing their part in social distancing the tables. Our waitress was nice and she even let me bring in my dog because I had her with me at the time. The menu had a ton of stuff on it like a typical Chinese restaurant. The prices are average. The food is pretty good but very salty. The half duck was very very salty but delicious! I love the lamb coconut curry the best! It wasn't too salty and the meat was tender. The dumplings and wontons are tasty but not sure how fresh it is. The portions are great though so you'll likely have leftovers. Overall, this is a pretty good Chinese restaurant! read more

Billy Tse, a standard go to for takeout. I love the luncheon specials. they are much tastier than the other Chinese restaurants that have lunch specials. Pricing is moderate and quality is high. Parking can sometimes be trying as they only have a few spots, but they do offer valet on some evenings and weekends. They have a full bar. Billy Tse has been around a long time 20 plus years? I give billy Tse Restaurant a Solid 4 Stars. read more

Maybe I was spoiled by the strip mall capital of the world, the American Midwest, where it's normal to find multiple Asian takeout options on every street corner... This used to be a pretty nice spot but in the past few years the quality has dropped significantly. Most things on the menu are fine if you like salty and basic Chinese food. But here are a few things that aren't: The beef chow fun is flavorless and the beef quality is bad-- some how it is feels both mealy and undercooked, yet too tough to actually break down. Dumplings are unpalatable, as if they had been sitting in the soup for hours or even days. So overcooked, a little musty, and just generally unpleasant. The chicken and broccoli was not great, just really terrible quality bits of chicken that felt more like mystery meat than chicken breast. Not much flavor either. I would not recommend this place, but despite reveres diversity, there just aren't really any good Chinese spots. I hope one does open up soon. read more

If you need some food to fill your stomach, they'd have something. Service/wait-time/cleanliness (1.5/2): Service was so-so. Waitress was kind but it was a bit difficult to understand her because she talks too fast. Wait-time was on the longer side given the lack of customers in the place. Cleanliness was also very standard, though I'd say it's on the slightly-dirtier side. Price (0.5/1): For the price they charge, I'd say it's a teensy bit overpriced. I order from here all the time. Today I wanted noodles. I googled what chow mein noodles looked like before making my order. However this is was I received. I tried calling the restaurant to ask where ate my noodles and he said I ordered the wrong this was not his problem. However, this turns into mush, not a noodle when wet. These are their chow mein noodles with no discussion on replacing my order. No website shows that chow mein noodles look anything like this. They are long skinny pasta like noodles but I guess I know where not to order from. Also when ordering it never suggests that you'll be receiving dry noodles. No where does it specify that the noodles come dry n uncooked. read more

When my husband said he wanted Chinese I wasn't really feeling it. I am so glad I did not listen to myself. I got orange chicken combo and he got beef teriyaki combo. The chicken was real chicken and they were large chi cod of mostly chicken, there was even real orange peels in the sauce. The beef was tender and perfectly seasoned, it didn't have too much sauce and was not salty. The rice was plain fried rice with no meat and honestly you don't even miss the meat being in it. It was not salty and it wasn't drenched in soy sauce. Very good quality of food. The only down side...The parking lot fits maybe in cars and it's located on a busy road so you can't park in the street. The photos are not the portion we received. They have the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. I especially love the twin lobsters with ginger and scallion. They break up the lobster so all you need to do is pull the meat out with your fingers or a fork. The food always comes hot and extremely tasty. read more

Gentleman whom I placed my order with was rather discourteous and lacked in a salutation coming and going. Because the two main items I ordered were less than desirable I could not give a favorable review, but as my custom, I will revisit in the future to give another shot.. However I'll order more typical Chinese American favorites which require less trust in the kitchen and are typically more mass produced. I have been going to Billy Tse for 20+ years and I know they changed to Billy C, but I have had a couple decent sit-down and takeout meals since they switched over. On the night of Saturday, April 20th, I ordered takeout with my daughters and picked up at 5:54pm. On my way back home, I had started eating some crab rangoons as they don't travel well and wanted to eat them while hot and crispy. The second one I ate tasted sour. By the time I got home and plated the food about an hour later, I could taste the crab rangoon sitting poorly in my stomach and started not to feel well. I advised my daughters not to eat the crab rangoons and proceeded to eat the other meals we had ordered and could not even finish my plate as I had lost my appetite. By 9:30pm, I was in distress and started vomiting until about 3:30am and all I could taste was crab rangoons. Sunday I was too weak, sick, and dehydrated to even call Billy C to discuss. On Monday 4/22, I called and the manager was not in but I finally got ahold of the manager on Tuesday. I explained to the manager that I have been a loyal customer for 20+ years and understand issues happen and that's why I was calling him to discuss rather than the Board of Health. He immediately got defensive and told me the crab rangoons are made fresh daily, and while I said that is probably true, I know it was the crab rangoons that got me sick and I have had food poisoning before and have no doubt it was the crab rangoons. He was getting very aggressive and defensive, and I stated to him that I want to make sure this won't help this to someone else. He then offered me a free order of crab rangoons. I told him I do not want that since I got sick from those, and what I was looking for was an apology and understanding of how he would address so it wouldn't happen to someone else. He started yelling at me, saying it couldn't have happened there and the Board of Health was just there and loves him. I then said "Is what you are saying is you'd like me to call the Board of Health?", and he said "yes" and hung up on me. After which I called the Board of Health and filed a complaint. I would never go back after 20+years and I advise no one else to eat there. read more

Friday my house had Chinese food from Billy Tse in Revere, we ordered pork lo-mein, vegetable rice, and three pu pu platters, we had it delivered to our house, they said over the phone it will be 45 minutes but Billy Tse brought the Chinese food less than 45 minutes, everyone was very happy, the Chinese food was delicious, I highly recommend going to Billy Tse in person or have Chinese food delivered to your house for lunch or dinner, I give Billy Tse a great grade A+ for great service. read more

Best and most honest establishment!!! I was having 80th bday party and called to order food for delivery. I had a menu planned and I had obviously had too much food on my list. They did not hesitate to tell me that. Most restaurants would have just let me order away. Everything was delivered on time, piping hot with serving utensils and extra pans. Delivery person took the time to ask me who's birthday it was so he could say happy birthday. Kudos to Billy Tse, will never order from anywhere else!
