I would stay far away from this place. The food is underwhelming, but the customer service is by far the worst part of the experience. I placed an order around 11:30 p.m. and asked for delivery. They told me delivery had already stopped, so I said I'd pick it up instead. I live only 10 minutes away and told them I'd be there within 15 minutes. Their posted hours clearly state they're open until midnight. I arrived at 11:43 p.m., 17 minutes before closing, and they were already locking the doors and leaving. They had canceled my order, taken my food with them, and then started yelling at me. One employee, a gentleman with glasses and unkempt hair, was especially rude and completely unprofessional. If you're going to close 15-20 minutes early every night, don't advertise that you're open until midnight. I wasted my time driving there and was treated with complete disrespect. Dragon Chef is a staple in Everett. Located on Broadway in the 7-Eleven Plaza. Once you get by the extremely tight pocket, this is a takeout only location. They have all the standard takeout items, eggroll, spareribs, pork strips, chicken teriyaki, etc. etc. they also have some great dishes like shrimp and broccoli delight three general ground chicken punk chicken was surprised that they make a good Chinese style beef chow fun of course I order mine wet Chinatown style to do a fabulous job. I'm glad we have a local restaurant that can give me a Chinese treat without going all the way to Boston. Pricing is about average for a local Chinese joint. I had made the mistake of going back to this establishment to purchase a takeout order. I had dinner guests over to my house and I ordered three dinner plates.. as well as other side orders... Listen, people are ridiculous with their reviews. This is exactly what you want when you are craving Americanized Chinese food. They make it "authentically" like I remember when my dad would bring home this foreign tasting food to our Chinese family as a treat since it was such different food than what we ate. They have the old school menu items and more and all of it is cooked the way I remember. Chicken fingers with chicken breast meat and a crunchy exterior, luscious egg foo young with the brown gravy, chicken lo mein, pork fried rice with lean char siu cubes and my guilty pleasure, lobster sauce. It was late and I just arrived at an airport hotel. No options at the hotel so delivery it was. First...Read. The. Menu. Ordered orange chicken and hot and sour soup. Didn't realize that the chicken was just that. No rice, but for the price, I thought surely it was included. The chicken was tough, flavor was okay. The soup was, well, soup. Nothing special, probably something all Chinese restaurants use in bulk. Additionally, in the delivery notes, I specified my hotel room number for it to be delivered. I got food tonight from them and was given a receipt that said that i was charged $30.60, however within 2 minutes my bank notified me of a transaction that was just completed of the amount of $36.72. When i called them to tell them that i was charged an extra $6.00 the response was "did you tip?!" I said no, so theres no reason as to why my card should have been charged extra. They refused to refund me what they charged me and insisted that it was a mistake on my bank's behalf. Never have i made a purchase where my bank made a mistake on the amount that the merchant charged. Never will I order food here again. Ive attached proof to back up my claim. Dragon Chef has been my favorite Chinese food for 30 years. I really really miss it living elsewhere. Do you know you cannot get lobster sauce and fried rice anywhere else in USA? I go to Dragon Chef when I visit family and absolutely love it. The complaints seem to be from the NO TIP demographic and naive know nothing young things. Chinese food on New Years is a Boston area thing and I have seen Dragon Chef come through excellently on past New Year's Eves. It seemed like less chicken than I would even expect in a small order. Not pleased with the situation at all, as I tried to report the problem and not even an apology was received. The Restaurant must be more careful as food poisoning from something like this is very possible. Above all, customer service should always be fundamental. This place looks like a piece of crap hole in the wall chinese food place. Too bad it aint. I always order my Orgasm In A Tin Foil Plate (thats #22A w/ chicken teriyaki, for the people who dont know), and every single time the spareribs were crispy, teriyaki delicious and the rice cooked to perfection. God i miss living in Everett simply because of this place. It is true that the outside parking lot is horrible to navigate in, and there is no place to sit, but trust me I think its better to eat at home anyways. one bit of advice, tho. Never order delivery. A friend and I were over her house and we ordered from this place. 1.5 hours later, the food showed up. Goddamn. 90 minutes. 90. Thats the square root of 8100 folks, GODDAMN. We weren't too happy, and if the great food didnt make us sexually excited we would have not tipped the delivery guy. But we did. Cuz we're nice.
