Honestly, I don't know how this place has the ratings it does. The ribs were the biggest disappointment. They tasted and had the texture of baked ribs rather than ribs that had actually been cooked on a BBQ pit. There was no noticeable smoke flavor or char, and they honestly didn't taste like they had ever seen a grill or smoker. When I go to a BBQ restaurant, that smoky BBQ flavor is exactly what I'm looking for. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was also extremely bland. All I could really taste was the cheddar. You couldn't taste much jalapeño, seasoning, or BBQ flavor at all. Again, that's not what I expect from a BBQ sausage. Then we tried the turkey, which honestly tasted like deli meat you could buy sliced at a grocery store. Very disappointing. They let us try some brisket, and unfortunately that was just as bland. It had very little, if any, noticeable smoke flavor. For me, brisket is one of the main things I judge a BBQ restaurant on, and this was a huge letdown.
