WHAT A FIND! Had no idea it existed. We were walking past to check out happy hour at a spot nearby and as soon as we saw Billy Sunday we knew we would have to stop in. It's such a cute spot, loved the vintage decor, the vibe was great, wonderful ambient lighting and man-- their bottle collection was fantastic! This place is the real deal with bartenders who actually know what they are doing and have the knowledge to back it up. Love my drink the Kent and the non alcoholic I had after that-- strawberry handshake. They actually put effort into their mocktails. My husband loves both of his-- the sekki Negroni & the Victorian. We shared the duck mousse which was fabulous, especially the crackers that came with and close it out with the puppy chow! Highly recommend this spot and really can't explain what a fantastic experience we had.

two words: GO HERE! more words: first went here roughly seven years ago in the before times and also before i moved from chicago to minnesota (west burbs of mpls). already a fan of billy sunsun (this is not a nickname far as i know but maybe should be!?) from the first experience w a mentor friend of mine with rather discerning cocktail taste, if you excuse his insistence on "Malörtifying" every drink whenever and wherever and however and to whomever possible. yes, he's Gen X and YES he's a pastor... lol. fast forward to last friday and WOW, dis gin joint (really a multi spirited joint kinda place) has GOT IT GOIN ONNNNNN and then... sum! Noelle, the lead bartender, was the first to greet me; fortuitous blessing this was bc a) getting to meet and know the head bartender is just downright helpful, if not fun -- and hopefully both! b) per the above, Noelle was gracious, funny, knowledgeable af, patient, honest, and perhaps most important of all at least imo when it comes to the biznass of Drankin': creative and open minded in terms of recommending and realtime coming up with drink creations and suggestions. i could go on and on, including how i was on a first sort-of-blind date that ended up being way fun (tho we agreed to "just be pals" and i am ok with this) TMI. tl; dr -- BILLY SUNDAY NEVER DIDNT NOT FAIL TO IMPRESS LET ALONE INSPIRE. go there and transport yourself to a world of delicious imbibation. p.s. their drink w like 6 alcohols including baijiu (chinese rice wine aka hard liquor BOOZE ) is delightful and packs a PUNCH of abv. drink carefully and responsibly, please! plan ahead and just don't drive here if consuming alc. support rideshare / public transport / your limbs or make your friend who owes you one be your dd, preferably someone you want to fade out cuz who would make a true friend DD from BS!!!

Penicillin. Tasty Scotch w/ honey, lemon, ginger pepper syrup, Sicilian amaro, Isley scotch. So good! Highly recommend.

Awesome cocktails, staff & vibe. Cool design. Beautiful back bar. Great pre-game before dinner in Logan.

At Billy Sunday, you can truly find some of the best cocktails in town. I had an amazing cocktail called "Permanently Closed" and it was absolutely delightful, I'd never tasted a cocktail like this before. Another eye opening experience was the Sazerac. It wasn't your typical Sazerac for it wasn't made with Rye Whiskey, it was made with Cognac and had the perfect balance of lemon.

Hands down one of my favorite places in chicago for a well crafted cocktail!! The ambiance is very chill and it felt like there were quite a few regulars. One of the bartenders loves working there so much, he came in to work on his day off. The cocktails were so well done. Nothing super fancy or overly complicated. Just great ingredients and some great combinations of flavors. My favorite was the Permanently Closed which is on their regular menu. It is safe to say that is one of the BEST cocktails I have ever had! When I told one of the bartenders I wanted another mezcal or tequila based drink for my next cocktail and the flavor profile I was in the mood for, he delivered! The drink he made (Hipsters Ashtray) was created by another bartender there. It's not on their regular menu but it's another must try drink. We sat at the bar which was great for interacting with the staff and for befriending a few other patrons. We had some great conversations and made a few friends. Whether you live in Chicago or are just visiting, this place needs to be on your radar!

I love this place! It's the first cocktail bar I've tried in Logan but it's got a very romantic vibe to it. Dim lighting, booth seats and bar seats where the bartenders can make literally anything and do it in a cool way. Our bartender / server was Mason and he was great! We were out celebrating so we had a bit of fun and they treated us well and brought us over a bit extra water when needed! The harvest moon is the definition of fall and smells so good. Tastes like a cinnamon appley goodness. The cocktails are all quality made and definitely different so a fun experience. Even though I don't love certain liquors, here they all taste good! My favorite was the Kent and I had the bartenders make me a dealers choice (not really) but something with gin, a little fruity but not to sweet and it was great! I don't really have any photos due to the darkness and not wanting to use flash and disrupt but the photo I posted was of a gin and tea drink and it came out like an adult Capri sun. Very sweet but so cute.

This has to be my favorite spot for Cocktails. Absolutely fabulous with wonderful care and craft going into the making of each drink. Keep off the Grass is my favorite. A lot of the drinks come with a great little design to them as well. So they not just taste Amazing they are presented wonderfully as well. I have not tried the food but if they are half as good as the drinks then it has to be amazing.

Yet, the bartenders greet us with such a warm and friendly energy that I know with absolute certainly that I have been a regular at this bar for years. Decades. Centuries. I know within my soul that this was my go-to bar in a past life (and hopefully in the next). Just as welcoming as the awesome people are the $1 PBRs and $3 shots of tequila. And of course they hand out free hot dogs every night at midnight, which in my (intoxicated) mind was cemented as the definitive Chicago dog, even if it comes with no toppings whatsoever. And fittingly complementing the amazing energy of the bar is a 10 hour Youtube video of that memed Ukrainian kid dancing at a club playing endlessly on the TVs. Rocking sunglasses and looking like a stud, absolutely grooving without a single care in the world, and effortlessly matching every single song on the bar's playlist. That kid truly embodies the spirit of this bar. No matter what day it is, what time of day it is, or who visits, the bar's energy always works. Vibing to Black Eyed Peas on a Monday night never felt better. Imma be... back one day, rest assured. I genuinely can't wait for the next time I'm greeted with, "Welcome back."

I am a salt girl but even without clear shards fo salt on each chip these were the perfect amount. the dip was cool and creamy, more of a tzhaiki like coolness than a zingy guilt ridden onion dip - I tried the Agnolotti purely to eat purple pasta. the inside was filled with beet puree and ricotta making the dish hearty and filling. it was slightly earthy as the beet flavor powered through more than just the light sweet sauce. the roe on top miraculously made the dish slightly fishy everywhere to the degree where I asked the waiter if there was fish inside the pasta.....I loved it - the Cappellacci was a flavor rollercoaster. right away you taste the sweet summer squash, a warm and comforting taste. as you swallow your throat is punched with a chili kick. all on top of cloud like pasta pieces - the Pappardelle was about the pasta, the al dente thick cuts showcased the housemate pasta. maintaining an al dente doughy goodness with the quality of the ingredients keeping the pasta fresh and far from what comes in a box.

This spot had more seating than I anticipated and there are tables that can accommodate large groups. The aesthetic was giving industrial whimsical bookstore. They also had the jams pumping but not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. Now for the food: - Homemade ruffles and sour cream and onion dip: This was a must get in my opinion. - Simple green salad: I feel like I can trust that Daisies doesn't source their produce from Taylor Farms, so we felt safe ordering. Man oh man I didn't know how much I needed this in my life. The dressing and the cheese were unmatched. - Mushroom Tagliatelle: Thebomb.com. You can taste the freshness in the pasta and the ragu was so savory yet not too heavy. - Summer seasonal pasta with sweet corn, jalepenos and cheese. The pasta was stuffed and had a delectable cream sauce. It was simply perfection. -1/2 chicken: Simply put this may be the best damn chicken I've ever had in my life. To think we were almost going to skip a protein and get another pasta but this was so good. I don't think words can do it justice. We had to get dessert because we knew that their pastries get a lot of praise throughout the city and beyond. We ordered the sourdough waffle topped with peaches and pecans.
