There were a few super cute dogs (always love a dog friendly place!). He has a way of reading people and creating an atmosphere where you feel like you belong, even if you're from out of town. He was professional, respectful, and genuinely went out of his way to make sure I had a great experience. What attracted me to this bar was the open-air concept when walking by. Luckily I was able to get a table for my girlfriend and I. I found the cocktails to be strong and unique; definitely eat before or afterwards! I do like the Latin-inspired cocktails and the music was on point. I had no issues getting my check and the drinks were made in a timely manner to be served. I would highly recommend this bar if you are looking for a quick spot in Logan square. One thing I would note is the menu has about 8 cocktails so you are looking for a big menu, you wouldn't find it here. read more

I've had two very different experiences here, making my review a little complex. During my first experience, I was out with two of my girlfriends who were visiting. They went to the bathroom together and were promptly kicked out. Apparently there was a sign on the door that they didn't see stating one person at a time. The staff was very rude about a simple misunderstanding by a couple of out-of-towners. I've never heard of two girls being kicked out of the bar due to going to the bathroom together.. Isn't that what girls do? Makes me think that this place might attract the wrong kind of people.. The experience was hugely off-putting and I would never have come back, except I forgot the name of the bar and agreed a year later.. My second experience was great. The bar tender was super nice and informative. They served some lesser known Latin American Spirits. The menu consists of types of alcohol and the flavor options. I got the Pomegranate Pepper Cachaca and it was a nice change of pace for me, even though it wasn't necessarily "my thing". They played some latin american vinyls on the night I was there. Took forever to get our check. Someone who claimed she wasn't a "bartender" but somehow served us was entirely rude when I asked her for the check. I wish I could've liked this place but I honestly can not fathom the disrespect I received, mind you I was sober while my friends were drinking. Other than the service this place was great. I just wish the lady would've been kinder considering I DID ask nicely for our tab. Also meanwhile waiting for someone to close us out I saw the lady taking a shot instead of asking the bartender to close us out :)... what a wonderful way to end the night indeed. My lovely wife and I have been to Estereo a couple of times now. It has a cool spot at the corner of Milwaukee and Sacramento, good for people watching inside and out. This place always seems to be busy, so that is a good sign. The music is a bit loud, but at least it is an interesting mix. We stopped in on Saturday for a couple of adult beverages and were happy to snag a table with a couple of stools. My love enjoyed her Agricole cocktail, while the Hopewell Italian Ice beer hit the spot for me as it was just like a summer shandy. read more

Cool bar in Logan Square, gives off a very local vibe. The drinks were stiff - so beware. I had a Paloma that I could see right through lol. My friends were all really happy with their drinks. The mezcal selection here was AMAZING (I love mezcal). There is plenty of space indoors. The garage doors were cool to, I could definitely see this place getting a lot of traction in the summertime when they open them up. Service was quick, and good. They were playing awesome music, and the vinyl player was behind the bar so the bartenders were choosing the music - which I thought was a very classy touch. I've been going to Estéreo for years. I recently went on a Saturday night. When it was 15-20 min before close, one of the bouncers was walking around yelling that the bathrooms were officially closed. This was odd to me because I've never once had experienced that there. A friend and I asked if we could use the bathroom, the bouncer rolled his eyes and allowed us to use it. As I waited for my friend, the bouncer thought it was appropriate to tell me that he was "carrying", meaning he had a gun. I thought this was very odd and made me very uncomfortable. The second bouncer was walking around yelling for customers to hurry up and leave so he could drink. Both of these bouncers were new faces for me as I go here often and have never experienced anything like this. I love Estereo, and this was a one night experience. I just hope this isn't the trajectory the establishment is going. read more

Drinks are pretty good while they are making it correctly . I was ordering a watermelon mezcal drink . First one was good it was reddish color. The 2nd one was more pink and had a less watermelon taste . The third one was even lighter in color and taste . I think they either ran out of an ingredient or they were just rushing it and making it wrong. Beer is way overpriced due to it coming in the same cup as a drink. Tiny cup . Security guards are very rude when it comes to closing time. You will be kicked out 25 min before closing time in a very hostile way. Why sell a drink in last call and then kick everyone out 5 min later. read more

HEAR ME OUT - Estereo is a good time if you know what you're getting into. I will go out of my way to find a bar that specializes in mezcal, and this one fits the bill! I love the simple menu on the wall that helps keep service moving (so long as bar patrons know to look for it). You definitely can come here and order a vodka soda, just know if you walk up to the bar and order a Manhattan you're getting eye daggers from the bartender and everyone in line after you. My one grievance with Estereo is that its LOUD. Like scream in the face of your friends loud. Which I dont even want to complain about that extensively because Estereo is a great secondary location towards the end of your night, just don't bring an intimate date here if you're trying to talk to them.
