If you want a campsite to be close to Savannah with full hook up this is a great place. We were at campsite #10 and had an end pull through spot. That is all you get. You can book a Savannah Tour or something with them but we didn't. There are no restrooms, showers, bathrooms or even a picnic table. For the price of $60 a night I would have expected someplace to sit outside at. I have never been to a campsite without an outdoor table. You are allowed to have fires but they have to be above ground and you have to dump your ashes and take with you (they do have a garbage area where you can drop them off at) Since there is no lights or anything like that I was not able to see and while walking my dog I twisted my back on the road where there should have been blacktop / asphalt. Then our 2nd night there someone pulled up behind my campsite and my neighbors and parked right along the side of the road. Upon my next dog walk I did see there was hook up there but kind of an odd spot. I did not ever inside and never personally met the people at the front office. My experience on the phone booking the campsite and asking questions the lady on the phone was alway nice and courteous to me. read more

We have been coming to this park for several years. Even though it is a small park, the beautiful trees make up for the size. We're always able to get a pull-thru site with FHU. The people who run this park are very nice and very knowledgeable about Savannah. We are so glad we found this jewel!! read more

We needed a half way place on our journey from FL back to RVA. Conveniently located in Savannah and the down town area This place is quite, and easy to get in. I was met by a very kind gentleman who took me to see the best way to park our 44' fifth wheel. Had no problem getting the camper in. After parking the gentleman came to check on us, and he was great and had a great time chatting with him. The pad we parked on was great. Would stop back in and stay again. (Yes, the site is what you get. We had a table at our site, but no fire pit, or bath houses, or dog park). Which was honestly not having the busy traffic like the commercial camping places, and with full hook sites what else is needed? IF you want quite this is the place. Also, with down town and Tybee Island who's hanging at the camp ground? We are traveling with another family and kids, and truly enjoying our time here. My first initial conversation with Barbara made me look elsewhere for accommodations, however it was a holiday weekend and everything was booked! The Good: Some of the spots are concrete and have sewer, 50 amp, and cable. There is dumpster and the location is close to Savannah, you can catch a trolley from there. The ugly: Its very dark no lights or dog park The day of check out Barbara came to our door twice before 11 asking if we were leaving and the other people were ready to check in! No WiFi, no showers, no laundry, no tables, no fire rings, no grill, no cable (even tho the brochure said there WAS cable). Staff was knowledgeable but certainly not friendly. Most of the sites had a cement patio but our space was full of gravel about 1" in size. No patio. I twisted my ankle several times just trying to walk around. Mostly long term renters. AND EXPENSIVE! Even with Good Sam discount it was twice the price for none of the amenities. The trolly does go to the park but only at 9:00 am and home at 4:00. Most pets can't be left alone that long. Look, I work remotely and travel full time. I'll put up with a lot from a campground. my goal is to be in the trailer as little as possible. I made a reservation for Fri-Mon a couple of weeks in advance. They put some long terms and conditions you have to sign when make the reservation - like every place does. Shame on me for not reading closely, but this is pretty standard for someone like me who stays in a 1-2 campgrounds a week. Well for the first time in 100+ campgrounds. they do not allow check-ins after 4pm - and apparently, this is in the terms I did not read for the reservation. They called me at 3:45pm on the Friday of my check-in to ask when I would be there. I said 6pm, not knowing there was an issue. They said they are canceling my reservation. After politely asking if I could still park without them, or arrange to come the following day - I got an inappropriate, angry lecture. A final plea of I have nowhere to go, there is no way I can get a same-day reservation over the weekend somewhere else - just more lecture... Regardless of me not reading their 1 out of 100+ weird check-in rules, you don't leave someone without a place to stay the night of their reservation. So here I am looking for a place to stay for the next four nights. Easy to do when every campground is full. Looks like this is going to be a Walmart circuit - so much for seeing savannah. **Update - thank god for Red Gate Farms just down the road. Instead of an angry lecture, they tried to accommodate me as best they could, and found a way for me to dry camp for a couple of nights, THEN they are going to try to move a few things for me to get a hook up for the last two nights. And Red Gate is very beautiful with many ponds and animals. This may have worked out for the best!!! STAY AT RED GATE! **Update to the Update: had arranged for a couple of packages to be delivered there (before they canceled my reservation). got there 15min after the email said delivered, and the main lady said she sent them back because I was not staying there. We recently checked into the Biltmore Gardens RV Park on our way to another destination. We pulled into the lot and were looking for a place to check in, and went to the Antique Store. We didn't know they were related. A gentleman behind the desk was taking care of a couple ahead of us as we were patiently waiting. Suddenly a woman comes in from the back room, asks our name and said, "You shouldn't keep the 4 dogs in the car this long". I responded that we didn't think we would be waiting so long, and she proceeded to check us in. Again and again and again we were told to clean up after our dogs, even though we told the woman the first time that we would. In fact our dogs are diapered at this very minute. We checked in. The RV neighbors are mostly long timers there and not friendly to us. We didn't have any altercation with any of them, but they are not friendly at all. Ok, we don't care, we're only here for 2 nights. While looking for a place to put my stake, with leads for the dogs, my husband had a problem with the power. At that time I noticed that there were paper cups and latex gloves strewn about by prior tenants. The man came near me and reminded me to cleanup after the dogs and I told him, who is going to clean up after your last tenant? He began to grumble and pick the stuff up, saying he didn't see this when he mowed the lawn. Whatever, I didn't care. Our largest dog did her duty and I went to clean up after her. I put the excrement in the bag and hung the bag tightly on an outside hook. I planned on taking care of it tomorrow, but didn't want to bring it into the trailer. My husband and I discussed how intrusive they were, peaking into our SUV, rather than attending to their desk. We have one big dog, and three tiny ones, about 5 lbs. each. Dogs are listed as permitted per Good Sam, and we would have no reason not to disclose the truth, if asked. I said to my husband that this feels like an episode of Criminal Minds, but not as bad (yet). We slept last night, but I had a feeling someone was outside. Ok, sounds paranoid, right? My husband was going to take the trash in the morning, I went to the hook to give him the poop, it was gone. We went into Savannah the next day for a couple of hours and came back to things untouched. We will be leaving in the morning for our next destination. This is not a bad destination we had electric, water and sewage dumping. We would have internet if we were a member of Comcast, and used it during the hours of operation that coincided with the antique shop. There is a sort of main road on one side of us, but we were in the back and the noise wasn't too bad. However there is a railroad behind us, which is not too active, but you hear the toot-toot of the train every so often. There is no pool, no gardens or bathrooms/showers. It is not a terrible place to stay, but I don't think I will be back. read more

Disappointing visit to the Biltmore RV park. I write a lot of reviews but this one I won't soon forget. I booked two nights, a couple of days back over the phone, which included tonight. I checked in yesterday and was taken to an "overflow" site along a busy highway. I mentioned to the man that guided me to the site that this was right on the highway. He said they lived in a mobile home along the road as well on the property which really did not address my concern. The site was in an area surrounded on three sides by six feet chain-link fencing with barbed wire on top beside a four-lane highway. The area looked more like an RV storage area which had a few utility pedestals along the back fence. Our site was dirt with a pile of cigarette butts on the ground. The area was not maintained. Full hookups did work. All night it sounded like a race track outside our RV. This morning I went to the office to explain my dissatisfaction. Barbara became adversarial immediately. While I would have liked a refund for my whole stay, I was leaving today and only requested the second night be refunded. This was met with her telling me, "people like you ruin everything" and then she called me a "butthole." She said I was lying about the condition of the site and the cigarette butts which I requested she come and see for herself. It was clear Barbara gets plenty of complaints and once she has taken your payment, she will not be giving anything back. She leans heavily on the confirmation email she sends you. Mine listed there were no cancellations and some letters identifying the sites I may be in. While speaking with her this morning, I explained I had no idea where those sites were and certainly would not have any idea they were literally 20 yards off a busy highway. She told me I should have googled the location so I would know. I'm pretty sure googling a satellite view would not have told me how busy the road was. She basically insinuated that I was stupid. One thing stands out in the phone conversation for the initial booking. She made sure I knew there were no bathhouses and my unit needed to be able to handle all my needs. It seems to me she could have mentioned I would be put in the busy roadway overflow area. Terrible customer service and Barbara's actions with the shady email practices prey on unsuspecting people. I paid $107 for two nights and it feels like Barbara stole half that money for services she did not render. Add to that, she resorted to name-calling like we are children and everything about this campground was just insulting. I will be challenging the credit card charge, making a complaint with the better business bureau, and posting this review on all platforms. read more

I am torn about how many starts to give, 1 or 2. I went with 2 stars because the owner allowed us to have a voucher for our stay even though we had to cancel at the last minute. I thought that was very kind of her. The pros of this place are that the sites are large and it is a 8 minute drive to the historic district of Savannah. The cons are no bathrooms, no laundry, limited office hours and it is a small park on a busy road which means it is quite loud no matter where you are. As some other yelpers have said the other RV patrons seem to be pretty touchy about dogs. My fiance was walking ours and as the dog was doing his business right off the road (there is no where designated to walk the dogs) the guy in the nearest RV pops his head out and said "you better have something to clean that out of my yard." I mean is it your yard guy??? I don't think so. We didn't let it ruin our stay as the whole point was to be out seeing the sights but I think we would stay elsewhere on our next visit. read more

The other reviewers are right. This is an awful place. We do not usually write poor reviews but this place goes beyond poor. It is appalling. And run by unprofessional people who just want your money. For over $50 you get No toilets No showers No WiFi Unwatchable cable Unpleasant and uncooperative owners Noisy road Floods when it rains And rudeness. Unbridled rudeness. Be warned. If you book for a few days and want to shorten your stay they will keep your money. They took over $160 off us for just one night. Avoid this park and go somewhere where you are welcome and that has reasonable facilities. The owners wouldn't recognize a well-run RV park if it jumped up and bit them. read more

We stayed for 5 days in May 2021. We really loved it. Barbara and her staff were very friendly, accommodating and hospitable! The park was clean and well maintained. Perfect location close to the historic district and the trolley tour even picks up from here. Would highly recommend to fellow rv'ers who are looking for a tranquil no frills beautiful spot to stay. However, we have been rving full time for more than a year and have never stayed in a campground with no bathrooms or showers. Especially for the price they charge. Stay away from this one. We stayed only one night then moved on to a beautiful campground in Townsend, Ga, Mcintosh Lake RV Park. It's only half an hour from Savannah and a world of difference. read more

Excellent accommodations at this small but family-oriented RV park. Norma and Beverly were very accommodating with our needs and gave us detailed information on local attractions. There are no laundry facilities, shower, or bathrooms but you know that if you read the information beforehand. Would definitely stay here again. read more

They advertise free wifi and then when you get there you find out you can only access it in the office; free cable but only if you can hook up your cable behind the tv in your motorhome; drive through sights but when we got there their comment was "well you only have to back in a little bit". I move around a lot for my job. Sometimes staying up to six months in one campground. I have never called looking for a place to rent and been accepted with such a rude tone. Just totally uncalled for. I decided to stay away from this place. Once getting here I learned that I'm not the only one. No shower house no laundry room. I was a bit hesitant after seeing the reviews on this site; but my husband had already reserved at Biltmore RV Park before I saw them so it's good that I didn't read them first. We arrived for a week-long stay to explore Savannah and found a pull-through site with ample of shade from established trees. The park is older, family-owned and operated and the office ladies are a treasure trove of great information on local attractions. They even have a stack of weekly sale ads from the nearby Kroger along with maps and brochures for sight-seeing in the area, which I found to be very thoughtful and helpful. The owners called and arranged for a trolley to pick us up for a historic district tour so we didn't have to take our vehicle to town and pay for parking there, which was very nice. Overall, we've enjoyed our time here and would come again! read more

We drove from sc after picking up our new marine. We called her the morning of to make sure everything was cool she said everything was. We just got here about 20 mins ago. Come to find out the site that was supposed to be ours did not have power she tried to put us on the road and say that was that spot she promised. We found another place. We didn't even park and went to explain this was not what we looked forward to. She charged us for one night and didn't even apologize for this horrible inconvenience!!! Well first off I have to say yes I read the reviews Of this "horrid" person before I called, but as a business owner my self I thought I would calls and give it a shot..... I should be able to tell by the phone call right away as everyone says. I called and was greeted by the sweetest older southern lady who checked availability and told me she could. Accommodate a back in spot. So we took it for two day. My partner and I showed up and was welcomed right away as you walk into the antiques shop /office. The older lady helped us check in and her daughter as well, they moved us to a pull threw no up charge and got us set up with a trolly pass and tour that picks you up right at the rv park!!! She walked us to the sight and had us come back over to go through things to do. We did. Her mother and her drew map directions reconditions with where all spot on and took a great deal of time to explain what we should do and what wasn't worth it in just two short days! We took her up on it! As for the park it was off a main road year but trees and very privet spaces that are huge! The property was very clean and I didn't think it was loud at all. Yes if you need a shower house and in a tent you don't want to be here. But why would u need a bathhouse If you have a bathroom in your rig? This is my third six month winter on the road and this was one of the nicest people that have ever helped me and my partner out. Over all, closes to town "12 dollar Uber ride from down town", trolly is a huge plus, massive lots, awesome price, super great friendly owners who checked on us before we left to make sure we enjoyed everything, smaller and quaint, worth five starts or more! Worst place in Savannah Since I can't give less than one star I guess 1 will have to do There are no amenities, except full hook up, can't get satellite signal unless by the lane busy highway, the owner Barbra is not only rude but also a liar, I called to reserve a spot for months in September, my wife is a traveling surgical technologist, when I called to confirm everything she was rude by saying I should have written it down the first time, when we arrived I told her in November that my wife was going to be extending her contact and needed the spot for more months, she said that was perfectly fine, I could stay as long as I didn't beat my wife, where that comes from I have no clue, then we are next to Bill and his complaining wife in spot 34, don't get that one because they are host of the park that is what Bill told us when we got there, and if you make noise at 8:30 at night waking him up he will complain to Barbra and she will kick you out with only a 14 day notice, in the middle of winter she thinks it's enough time to find a place in Savannah, when we contacted campgrounds 2 of them said not to stay at Biltmore RV park. She tried to justify the review I made on trip advisory about everything, its all a lie, she makes up her own rules, and if you ask her for a bill for the electric usage she won't provide one so you don't know if your over paying for electric or not, she tried to say if I was sick and took a job as a fuel delivery truck driver I am putting everyone in jeopardy, I was cancer free when I took the job, went in and asked her about mail and she said I got it yesterday, guess the mail doesn't run there every day, I wouldn't tell my enemy to stay there read more

Barbara is a horrible person. My husband is in town for work for about 3 months. Barbara knew we were having difficulty finding a place for him to stay with our RV and gouged the monthly pricing knowing this. That's business, good for her but we should have seen it as strike 1 for the park. My husband ordered internet and within 5 days they were doing work in the park and cut his internet line. I called Barbara and told her Xfinity was going to charge us $50 to come out and fix it and he would be without internet until they came out. She said the electrical people who cut the line the day before would reconnect it, great I thought. But then she called me back and said it's the outside line, pretend like you don't know we cut it and have them fix it and they won't charge you. So he's without internet and her trees are so overgrown that our satellite can't get a signal - no internet or tv - strike 2. Barbara made it very clear that we needed to let her know well in advance if my husband was going to extend another month. I get it, she needs to rent the space otherwise. I let her know that he would like to stay another month. She told me to mail her a post dated check for the rent over 2 weeks in advance which I did. Less than a week later she claimed to have never received the check and demanded that my husband leave her a check under the office door that day when he got home from work - mind you that this was a full ten days before the rent was due. He did so and she cashed the check right away before the rent was even due. I'm sure she received my post dated check but wanted another check that she could deposit right away - strike 3. Our first month wasn't even up yet and he decided to move because a space at a park closer to the job site opened up - he was driving 45 minutes one way to go to work. But Barbara already cashed the next month's rent and she refused to give it back. I would definitely understand keeping some of the money for the inconvenience but she is keeping the entire (inflated) month's rent. She is a shady person and I would not recommend staying at her park. She completely took advantage of us and then claimed that we weren't good people and were playing games with her. She is the one who demanded rent early and cashed the check! Go figure? Then she said that we avoided paying a bill for replacing a faucet that her handyman did for us. First off, we didn't think that he was done. He installed a hideous gold plated 1960s faucet in our year old trailer and didn't leave a bill. We thought he installed the faucet as a temporary fix until he could get a faucet that matched our other brushed nickel fixtures. He did not fix the icemaker line that we asked him to either - both lines froze and broke during the trip from his last location in Kansas - we forgot to run the pump to clear the lines before leaving. :-( We made a service call and he only did half of the service call with horrible parts, why would we think he was done? I called the repair guy the day after he did the work to inquire about when he would be done but he didn't answer and his voicemail was full. He called me back at 5:15 in the morning the next day California time and I missed his call because it was 5:15am! Well as it turned out he was done and Barbara had the bill and neither of them said anything. So she concluded that I was avoiding him and avoiding paying the bill - it was a whopping 3 days later! Oh, and when I mentioned that he didn't address the ice maker line so we didn't think he was done Barbara's response was who needs an icemaker anyway. I thought people from the South were supposed to be nice - not this woman! My husband moves 2-3 times a year because of his job, I always go with him to get him setup and then go home. My husband left the park after being there for less than a month and paid for 2 month's rent. He could have stayed until the rent was up but we just counted it as a loss and paid double rent for the month - it was better than staying in Barbara's horrible park and deal with her equally bad attitude. This is the worst park he has been to. There are absolutely no amenities and the park is a mess. Normally the park staff/owners are so pleasant and helpful, not at this park. There is definitely no Southern charm here just a jungle and an "antique" store - hey maybe that's where the handyman got the hideous faucet from! read more

DO NOT stay here! I wished there was a "0" star rating! We called as we were on the road and made a reservation. When we got there, they had given us an "overflow" spot which was basically on the road outside the park. We could not even hook up to the sewer. We informed them that the conditions were unacceptable and we could not stay. Barbara, the owner, was very rude and would not refund our money! We got our bank to dispute the charge since we did not receive any services from them. Horrible location and the park is unkempt. We notifed Good Sams Club to have them taken off their lists of sites. read more

This has been the worst RV park experience ever the owners are very rude. Not only are they very rude the park is not all that. The wife and I will register to stay there for a week, because our son was transferred who is an Army Ranger to a base nearby. His wife and him were unable to move into their house on base for three more days. We went to the office to explain the situation, she told us that there was only allowed to be for adults per site. Well there was two of us and two of them that equals 4. She told us under no circumstance would she allow them to stay with us. We asked her what we should do then and she said she don't care to go find another place and we would not be getting a refund. The wife and I travel 8 months out of the year and stay at over 30 parts per year. This is the worst RV park we have ever experienced in our life.
