This place is a quiet little gem. There are just the right amount of sites to give it a homey feel. The property is beautiful and exploring the property is a must. They have a pool, lounge swings, a clubhouse with a back porch with a tin roof which looks out over the lake. It was nice to listen to the rain and swing on the swing. We arrived at 11 so there was an extra $10 charge. The sec d day of our stay they hosted a wi e and snack night which was fun as we met many great people. We also did a full day of shopping in Savannah.

We cannot say enough great things about this place. It's gorgeous, clean, close to downtown & the staff couldn't be nicer. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here and can't wait to return!

Nice folks, very cool campground, has a pool, horses, fishing pond hike trails etc... We arrived late in the day and just after a rain. We only planned on an overnight because we had a different destination planned the next day (completing our 10,000 mile midwest tour) anyway we were sorry we couldn't stay more because the park was beautiful and fun.

Beautiful property located minutes from downtown Savannah. Large oak trees, lakes and horses on the property. They also have a barn and a pool. Staff is super friendly. Showers are clean and located in office building. Also have a common area with flat screen TV and a workout room. Lots of charm and southern hospitality!

This is our spot at the red gate farm. Beautiful sunset

Loved it. Peaceful, close to everything and and close to everything:) definitely recommend

First time at the campground and enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Convenient location and overall peaceful. Full hook up, however dirt/gravel parking and very dusty roads in, out and around the property. Thankfully we got some rain the day we left so it helped rinse our RV. WiFi was good and good cell phone coverage if that's important to you. Lots of property to walk and enjoy. Beautiful horses in the pasture, goats, designer chickens, roosters and peacocks also call this place home and are available to visit anytime. No feeding though. Three lakes add to the peaceful ambiance if you like to sit and enjoy nature. They have an outdoor pool and event space that is beautiful. Nice history of the property which one might expect being situated in the south.

    Lovely green well Maintained grounds.

Lovely grounds, beautiful lake, animals etc. Staff was very friendly. WiFi was awesome!! There's a big lake to fish in. (Catch n release) it's super close to Savannah & every store you'll need. They do offer a pick Up service for tours, lots of brochures & info. The full hookups with sewer are pretty close together. The ones w water n electric are better, parked by barns and really private. It's easy to pull in and out of the campground. Great place & great for kids, saw them having a blast!

Very relaxing park. Lush setting, lots of trees, flowering plants, beautiful to walk around and see the horses. Sites are very large with plenty of privacy. Lots of room to take a walk, great spot for campfires. Customer service was good. Feels like you are miles away from civilization but easy access to historic Savannah for restaurants and sight-seeing if you wish. Good fishing. Wifi was ok. Used our own bathroom. Will come again

"Bill" Bruner passed June 2022 and now his grandson Michael Bruner is running Sunshine RV Park LLC. We stayed here 20 yrs ago and much has changed and for the better. Sunshine RV Park now has about 70 level concrete RV sites. The RV sites are about 65 ft in length of which 50 ft is poured concrete with a concrete patio. We have a 45ft motorcoach and we fit on our site just fine. All of the sites have 50/30/15 amp electric, water (good tasting/good pressure) and sewer. No problems with electric voltage even in the hot Georgia summertime. And new concrete sites are being added at this time. Lots of area to add more RV sites. Michael is doing a great job as the new owner of Sunshine RV Park. Michael manages the RV park full-time and has help. Someone to cut grass/weed trimming around the RV sites and someone to pick up any trash and help maintain the RV Park. RV sites are being improved ongoing. We use T-Mobile and get a consistent 550-600 mbps down and 10-15 mbps up speeds. With T-Mobile we achieved 5GUC 2-3 bars the majority of the time at the RV Park. We also have a T-Mobile 4G hot spot and achieved speeds of 15-20 mpbs down and 5-15 mbps up. No problems streaming at all. Sunshine RV Park is big rig friendly. No rocks to navigate around and no overhead tree limbs to worry about. Plenty of room between RV's. All of the sites are back-in except one site which is pull-thru. Sunshine RV Park is pet friendly and has lots of grass for your pet. Just make sure to pick-up after your pet, keep them on a leash at all times and no disturbing of neighbors by your pet. All commonsense rules to live by. Now let me say this... Sunshine RV Park has mostly long-term contract area workers. Advance reservations are needed to stay at Sunshine RV Park. Rif-raff is not tolerated at all by the owner, and it is very quiet here after dusk. I would say that about 60 of the 70 sites are long-term RV'ers. This being said, if you are a traveler and are looking for someplace in the Savannah area to stay, consider Sunshine RV Park IF you want to stay for 1 to 4 weeks or more. You must have a self-contained RV - no tenters. No playground/swimming pool or other RV resort amenities here, but you are only 7 miles to the Savannah Historic District, a 7-minute drive to Kroger grocery and CVS/Walgreens or a 10-minute drive to a Wal-Mart Supercenter. Lots and lots of fantastic area restaurants to choose from that feature great southern-style cooking! Sunshine RV Park is a safe and quiet (an occasional jet flying overhead) place to park your RV as it's in a residential area. On Sunshine Avenue is the Georgia Public Safety Training Center - a training complex for all Georgia state and local public safety agencies. The Garden City Public Library, the Police/Fire Dept/EMS are all less than a mile from the RV Park. The owner's home is next to Sunshine RV Park, and he drives around the RV Park to ensure its safety. Amazon local delivery, Wal-Mart grocery local delivery, UPS and FedEx all serve Sunshine RV Park as we had deliveries from all four during our stay. There is a farmers' market at Forsyth Park every Saturday year-round from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM featuring a variety of farm goods and prepared foods. We did encounter a minor problem with USPS mail. USPS does not deliver to this address unless you register with the Post Office prior to receiving postal mail. To have our USPS postal mail received, we used Post Office General Delivery Service and picked up our mail at the Savannah Post Office downtown. The Savannah Visitor Center on MLK is a great resource to help plan your area adventure. Savannah is a walking town. Savannah has squares and parks, and these are the community's most beloved icons. Originally designed with 24 squares, 22 remain today to be enjoyed by the millions who walk these grassy utopias every year. If I was to mention a negative, driving down Sunshine Ave. we did encounter some tree branches. No damage to our RV but do drive slowly. Sunshine Ave. is only a half-mile long street and the RV park is on the left side at the end of the street. The RV Park's office has a large sign on it with the address and phone number of Sunshine RV Park. We truly enjoyed our 1 month stay here at Sunshine RV Park and absolutely enjoyed our visit to beautiful and historical Savannah, Georgia. We hope the information we have provided will help you plan your visit to Savannah. Update - I had given a copy of our review of Sunshine RV Park to the owner about a week prior to a departure. Michael had read that I had commented on our encounter of some tree branches along Sunshine Ave. and trimmed them back nicely! Even trimming tree branches of private property owners who's homes border Sunshine Ave. IMO, this owner truly cares about this business.

Our big breed didn't have much gallop space in the K9, but front to back, this campground is huge and woodsy, so it was at least a great dog walking spot. The swans this campground is known for were indeed present as well as herons, geese, and a few birds we don't typically see at home. As the signs also posted there was a lake alligator, our first outside a zoo, but it kept a good distance from the lakeshore. The map even shows a bird sanctuary, and at twilight bats were doing their part. Disney was our ultimate destination but this was an excellent landing spot, to and from. It was also worth the extra night so we could poke around Savannah and Fort Pulaski (jumping fish on our memorable mini-trip). The store was well-stocked with cold drinks for all ages, souvenirs and tourist info, and some RV sundries (Food Lion just past I-95 had the rest). The Savannah trolley even pulled into the koa one morning. I've been to a few KOAs, and assure you this is the best laundry of all KOA campgrounds. In my limited experience Dayton and Moab are close, but here we had affordable, updated laundry space here with laundromat driers and trolleys. The best pool? No, but close! It was a pleasant space with good depths and plenty of furniture, and was a shame to leave. Don't forget your swimsuit. The bathhouses are updated, cute, and clean. The staff were friendly in the park and in store. This koa had everything we needed. We'd happily come back.
